Came home from vacation really recently and I am welcomed back to a boathouse with only two coxswains there.

Apparently, the four or five days I was gone, there was only ONE coxswain for the entire women’s team.

Today, two of us came back.

And today, I fucked up, yet again. I could not keep close to the other boat out on the water, and we were doing a simple drill. I had to do practically nothing!

The drill in question?

1 and pause by fours

On the square

Going up 1/4 every five strokes

Quarter slide, half slide, 3/4, full slide, switch four.

Simple right? Well I couldn’t get close to the other boat and I fucked everyone up by being super far out. Made several attempts to adjust, and the worst part? MY MISTAKE WAS MADE AT THE BEGINNING OF PRACTICE! How? Because I didn’t think to communicate with the other boat! And my docking was not great.

Why? Because I decided to listen to my rowers. Someone needs to slap me everything I try and risk it just to make my rowers happy. Not doing that again.

And 2nd practice. A storm hit. Needless to say we did not get an actual 2nd practice.

So, long story short, I need to improve.

Just imagine redcoats trying to cross a similar body of water and they just start getting taken out one by one.

Hell, we can change it up a bit and have Desmond’s natural habitat being the bayou in New Orleans. Have Aveline be the one to first meet Desmond who is stalking the entirety of the bayou. He recognized her from Ratonhnhaké:ton’s memories so he doesn’t hurt her and even try to assist her whenever he can.

Aveline believes him to be a smart snake who just so happen to have a taste for the people that can be considered as her enemies.

She considered him an ally that she needs to be cautious about.

Desmond just likes to chill and help out whenever he sees Aveline.

The first time Ratonhnhaké:ton joins Aveline in the bayou though…

Desmond just curled around him and tried to snuggle him. Aveline was worried Desmond wanted to eat him for like… a second or so before she realized that, nah, Desmond is just, strangely, affectionate towards Ratonhnhaké:ton.

Do... do danganronpa fans like the anime? I try to avoid the fandom for spoiler reasons generally but ive seen a post or two saying the anime is good when(from the episodes i watched) it is not.

Its SO cheap, like the frame rate is sad. And like yeah sure japanese animation has different standards to western ones, but in a show thats primarily going to be talking you'd think theyd implement more action elsewhere and they really dont. Like theres so many chances to really expand on the game and flesh out the characters in this animated medium but the anime doesnt do that at all. Like I was really looking forward to seeing how they'd interpret how toko fidgets, or Kyoko tucking her hair behind her ear. The game has such fun poses that suggest movement yet the anime fails to deliver. Not to mention almost all the one to one remakes of game scenes or the characters standing still with only their mouths opening. Like I dont mind the trials looking very similar to the game tbh. That seems like a fun reference for the fans and shortcut so they could use their energy elsewhere, only they didn't really put the energy elsewhere.

I guess the anime got in some more dynamic shots that we couldn't have had with the games being 1st person perspective, but even those are usually just stills that flash by in montages rather than anything super interesting.

Probably not, because Erin Hunter is the little girl who fell into the Gorge in SkyClan's Destiny! Billy wasn't her cat.

At least, not currently. I imagine Billy's owner is a pretty careless dude, in a very lazy human kind of way. If he is the father of Erin Hunter, he's the sort of dad who has her on weekends and tells her to go outside for the whole time.
