Conditional love
⊙ Summery: Bakugou ponders his parents and their relationship
⊙ Type: Angst, hurt no comfort
⊙ Word count: 962
⊙ Warnings: emotional abuse, neglect,
Bakugou knows his mom isn't perfect. No one's mothers are, and his sure as hell isn't. She smacks him more often than hugging, his father doesn't see the problem with this, and she spends more time at work than having family dinners.
He knows this. He's accepted that they kinda suck at parents. So why does he feel ill whenever Kirishima tells how his weekend with his moms went well, with a toothy smile on his face?
Why does his chest hurt whenever Pikachu explains how supportive his parents were when he was diagnosed with ADHD?
Even when Mina won't shut up about how her mom buying her new clothes and make up for them to match when they go on their mother daughter dates-
Leaves him feeling numb.
Sero even talks fondly of his grandparents.
Bakugou has never met his grandparents on his mom's side (his dads passed away when he was young). The Hag always said they failed as parents and had no right to see him. He wonders how bad they were to cause the Hag of all people to think they were awful people.
He realized forever ago he doesn't have any adult figures he can rely on. Any that actually love him. His mother is always complaining about his attitude, his fashion sense, his hobbies. She nick-picks everything in his life she finds less than desirable.
As if he isn't a person with his own wants. As if he was made to be exactly how he wanted. In a way, he was. She wanted a kid to treat like a doll. He never forgot how much the Hag wanted a girl, she made sure of that.
She picked out the name Katsuki with the feminine kanji and he remembers her complaining that the masculine ones don't look as pretty or have a pretty meaning as the girl ones.
She complained that boy clothes come in boring colors and materials. How she designed cute tops and skirts and dresses and they all went to waste because he was born a boy and couldn't possibly do any of that.
He suggested once when he was 5 that he would put on her designs if she would just shut up about it, (he kinda wanted to try them but he won't admit that) and she sent a death glare, told him boys don't wear dresses and to never ask that again.
His father isn't any better. Yeah, he acts all shy and polite but he gaslights himself and everyone around him. Constantly saying the Hag is only hard on Katsuki cause she cares. Saying he loves Katsuki but can't remember what comics or shows he's into, or even spend his birthday with him. 'Cause they have a once in a lifetime business trip to paris!'
The old man might mean well, but he's crazy if he thinks the Hag actually cares for either of them. Down right delusional if he considers himself a good father to Katsuki.
But he doesn't need his parents' love. All he needs is their money for groceries and he's good. Living at the dorms made that part easier. He doesn't have to worry about visiting on the weekends cause the hag easily buys that he's busy with school work and training, saying they upped the workload to prepare them for hero work sooner.
The Old Man doesn't bother calling or texting which makes it easier as well.
Mina's dad texts' her. He sends silly memes and she complains that he doesn't even get them. But she laughs nonetheless because it's her dad.
Denki's father is always texting him asking if he understands his work and if the teachers are making sure he is being taught right.
Sero's grandpa doesn't text often but he still does. He still asks how soy sauce is doing. He asks how school is going, he asks how his friends are, he-
Bakugou doesn't care.
He doesn't want his parents to send him memes (gross). They don't even know what memes are, and the thought alone sends shivers up Katsuki's spine of the out-of-characterness of them doing that.
He doesn't need his parents to ask if he is doing well at school because of course he is. He's Bakugou Katsuki. He hasn't gotten a B in years. His parents don't even spare a second glance or a 'good job' when he hands in his report card with full marks. That's expected of him. Getting straight A's is the bare minimum.
He doesn't need them to ask how he's doing, he's fine. He's great. He's bakugou Katsuki. He doesn't need them to ask how his friends are doing. The hag laughed when katsuki said 'my friends' as if he's so awful to be around he couldn't possibly have frie-
"Yo, Bakugou! You spaced out for a minute there."
Bakugou jerked his head to the side to look at Pikachu's hand on his shoulder.
"Hah?" He shrugs the offending hand off.
Kaminari laughs.
Racoon Eyes looks up from her phone to look at Bakugou, eyes joining the other three in the room as well.
"Yeah, you didn't answer the question." Kiri points out. Soy Sauce snickers.
Right, what started all of this.
What are you doing for mother's day?
Bakuogu shrugs, pulling his phone out of his pocket nonchalantly.
He swipes between his home screen pages "she's on a business trip this week, so we're doing something next weekend."
Lie. She took mothers day off to go have dinner with her husband, not her son.
"Aw, that sucks, me and my mom are-"
Bakugou tunes out Sparky.
He tunes out Soy Sauce and Kirishima and Pinky. Because he does not care about mother's day.
He doesn't care.
Like mother. like son.

Bakugou Mitsuki Headcanons
She became a model despite her parents’ wishes. She doesn’t have a good relationship with them, and she used to run away a lot and be considered a delinquent and hang with the wrong crowd. She skipped school a lot but somehow managed to pass, going to college and majoring in business with a minor in fashion design even though no one thought she would/could, doing modeling gigs on the side
Her Parenting Headcanons
If you like Mitsuki, you won’t like these
Doesn’t spend much time with Katsuki bc he always wants to do things with her and she either can’t be assed to learn new things or thinks it’s a waste of time. She just put him in a bunch of extracurriculars to use up his time and energy
She loved when Katsuki was a baby and was extremely affectionate, but soon the novelty wore off and he was just... there. Not her child, just a child.
Used to use the silent treatment on Katsuki whenever she got irritated with him (and she was almost always irritated with him)
Mitsuki thinks Bakugou hasn’t changed since middle school and basically always describes his personality wrong when she talks about him. She makes a huge deal when he does smth nice and she claims to only be able to count on one hand how many times he was

Every time someone describes mitsuki as abusive and use the parent teacher meeting as proof I am just convinced that they need to watch more shonen
Not even endeavor at his worst would be stupid enough to casually hit his child in in front of teachers that have a legal obligation to report that abuse

Hi! I really liked the Katsukis memories one, so I can suggest you make like Bakugo a few years ago got out of a really toxic relationship and he couldn’t really trust anyone because his last girlfriend or boyfriend used him for his money and fame being the no.2 hero, until he met reader. So now he’s taking them to his old childhood hood to met his parents. Mitsuki also didn’t really trust anyone to be with his baby boy, but when she saw you walk through the door, I feel like she would make a connection and had really good vibes with reader. Thank for reading!🧡💚🖤

When someone you love treats you horribly, it's something you never forget. It scars you, and no matter how hard you try to get over it, that pain and those bad memories are always going to be there.
It takes a lot of time to heal from these kinds of things, but it's possible. For Katsuki, it took three years. His last relationship was great at first. He was happy and in love, and he thought his partner was too until they revealed their true colors.
After a year of dating they made it clear that they were only with him because of his status as a pro hero and his money. This was heart breaking of course. It hurts to find out the person you loved never loved you. Katsuki was angry and hurt, so he ended things immediately and swore to himself that he'd never date anyone again. He avoided any type of romantic relationship for the next three years while he focused on himself, until he met you.
Meeting you was unexpected, like most relationships are. He was very closed off at first and hesitant to get to know you, but you were able to crack open his shell and find him waiting on the inside.
Before you started dating, you didn't know about his past relationship but you knew something must've happened for him to be so guarded. So you made sure to let him take the lead in everything. You didn't want him to feel pressured, so you would let him make all the first moves.
When he eventually asked you to be official you were extremely happy that he trusted you enough to try dating again, since a month prior he told you about his last relationship.
Now, six months later, he wanted you to meet his parents. But they were hesitant too.
"I don't know Katsuki. Are you sure they're not like the last one?" Mitsuki asked.
Katsuki was currently at his parent's house, asking them if he could bring you over this weekend because he wanted them to meet you.
He groaned, "Yes, I'm sure. I knew them for a year before we started dating, and they're really understanding about everything that happened before."
His dad, Masaru, spoke up, "We're just worried about you son. We don't want you to get hurt like last time."
Katsuki looked down, "I know, but just trust me, okay? They're a really great person and I think you'll like them."
His parents looked at each other, then Mitsuki said "Fine. Bring them over this weekend at 5:00 pm. I'll make dinner."
Katsuki smiled.
Fast forward to the weekend, it was now the day you were meeting his parents and to say you were nervous is an understatement. Your boyfriend has mentioned before that his mom was a lot like him, so you were afraid she'd criticize you right away. He did say his dad was much calmer, but you were still afraid.
"I'm scared Katsuki. What if they don't like me?" You asked as you two parked outside of his childhood home.
He put a hand on your head, "Relax babe, I already talked to them. I know they're gonna love ya, alright? And if they don't then they can fuck off-"
"Katsuki!"
"It's true. I know they're my parents but I'm with you, and if they can't respect that then I won't talk to them."
You took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay. Can you hold my hand while we walk in?"
He nodded and did exactly as you asked as you both walked up to the large doors of the house. He knocked loudly twice before opening the door, announcing his arrival.
"Hag, I'm home!" He yelled, "Hey old man." He said to a man with glasses and brown spiky hair that was sitting at the dinner table.
The man was about to speak up but was cut off by a woman yelling, "I told you to stop calling me hag, brat!" Then, a woman that looked just like Katsuki walked out of the kitchen.
"Oh-Hello there! I'm Mistuki." She said and shook your hand.
You smiled and gave her your name, "It's so nice to meet you. You have really beautiful skin."
She laughed loudly, "That's thanks to my quirk, glycerin. Keeps my skin moisturized. Now both of you come and sit down! I made dinner for everyone."
Katsuki continued holding your hand and walked you to the dining table next to the man who you were assuming was his father.
He smiled and held out a hand, "I'm Masaru, Katsuki's father. It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope you'll excuse my wife, she can be a bit, well-I'm sure you know." He said with a small laugh. You noticed he was much more soft spoken compared to his wife and son.
You continued to talk to him and Katsuki at the table until Mitsuki came and placed the dish on the table. You were able to tell right away that she had made katsu curry.
You each served yourselves, though Katsuki kept insisting he serve you.
"Stop it. I want to do it." You said pushing him lightly.
He kissed his teeth, "Just let me do it will ya?"
"No." You then bumped him with your hip and served yourself, quickly serving him as well, making him sigh.
As you two communicated in your own way, his parents smiled at your interaction. Mitsuki was a little hesitant to, but Masaru rubbed her shoulder almost to let her know he was okay.
During dinner you all talked about everyday things, mostly surrounding you and Katsuki's relationship.
"So, how did you guys meet?" Mitsuki asked.
"We actually met at the public library." You said, "It was in the romance section, coincidentally."
"Yeah and you were picking a shitty book." Katsuki spoke up.
"Hey it wasn't my fault! I didn't even know anything about it."
As dinner went on, his parents, especially his mother, realized that you really were different than his last partner. They could see the way you cared for him just by how you spoke to him and interacted with him. Even the little touches you gave him on his shoulder or arm here and there.
At the end of the night when you said your goodbyes, his parents made sure to see you both out.
Mitsuki hugged you tightly and whispered "Thanks for taking care of my boy." Pulling away, she said "Come back anytime, all right? Don't let this brat convince you I'm crazy."
Katsuki rolled his eyes while you giggled.
Once you both drove away, Masaru asked his wife "So? What do we think?"
She nodded, "I think they're perfect."

MHA headcanons bcuz the show brings me a lot of joy
If you don't agree with them or they clash with canon that's ok just scroll on, peace and love on the planet earth and whatnot.
⭐Iida is straight but is openly into BL. He's up to date on new releases, mostly pg shoujo stuff. Except for one fantasy comic that is hella explicit at some points but he is VERY passionate about the lore and characters.
⭐Bakugo has Inosuke levels of androgyny going on. He would give Shouto a run for his money in the "class 1-A's resident prettyboy" vote that was held if he 1. wasn't too scary for people to vote for him. and 2. if he stopped scowling for like two seconds.
⭐Aoyama is some flavor of nonbinary but doesn't use any labels because he HATES them. He is an ✨experience✨, a piece of art up for interpretation.
⭐Pro hero Red Riot has a line of menstrual hygiene products with cool and manly packaging because he's very popular with transmasc people and wanted to give back something helpful and validating to them.
⭐Kirishima once called Bakugo his "brofriend" and he just about had an aneurysm.
⭐ Before they got together, Kirishima wrote half the valentine's cards Bakugou recieved anonymously because he "just had so many feelings it couldn't fit just on one card!!"
⭐Bakugou is a secret romantic. He hates talking about it because it's "bad for his image" but he has a big collection of shoujo manga and internally melts whenever Kiri does something soft for him like buying flowers or holding his hand in public.
⭐Aizawa regularly gets intrusive thoughts of becoming a househusband whenever he has a particulaly annoying time. Like after his 7th parent teacher conference of the day or after a full week of falling asleep in uncomfortable beds in seedy hostels he stares at the ceiling like "Hizashi is a celebrity. He has three jobs. What am I doing here? I love him. I can't cook but I could learn 😫"
⭐Kaminari hits on Bakugo's mom every chance he gets. Bakugo's tries to blow him up, Mitsuki thinks it's fucking hilarious.
⭐Allmight has a crush on Midoriya Inko but is scared to do anything about it because A. it might upset Izuku and B. he thinks he's too old and ugly for her.
⭐You'd think Midnight would be a bad teacher based on her general sexy nature but actually she's well loved because she's the only teacher who the kids trust with advice on relationships and intimacy, especially after the dorm system set in. She has time set aside each week where she's available for anyone to pop into her office and chat about whatever they're worried about. Aizawa is endlessly thankful for this because one time Todoroki asked him what a backshot is because he heard Sero make a joke about it and he's still healing from that conversation.
⭐Since both of their quirks are food based Sato and Momo often bake together. Sato's the master decorator, Momo buys good quality ingredients and is a beast at chiffon cakes.
⭐Denki can't swim. After The Incident in primary school where he almost electrocuted a whole swimming pool of people he's been scared to try.
⭐Kirishima has two moms. His birth mom had him at like 18 and his biological father wasn't ready for that yet. Her best friend immediately stepped up to help with the baby, and that's Kiri's mama now.
Thank you for reading!! I am incredibly late to this fandom but hey I'm having fun now so. Sick.

prompt: can we get some angst to fluff Mitsuki comforting bakugo's girlfriend as they’re waiting for his results when she’s angry/crying she wasn’t strong enough to protect him in their fight with shigaraki in season 6? or *absquatulate: to leave without saying goodbye
a/n: i love him so much pairing: bakugou katsuki x f!reader word count: 1,198
Knuckles white with worry, you felt sick to your stomach.
You’d shoved away every attempt at the nurses who professed they needed to take a look at your injuries – to make sure it wasn’t anything serious. You didn’t care about any of it. It felt as if you hadn’t been able to take a single proper breath since you’d seen him like… like that. Blood pooling around him, a gaping hole in the middle of him, skin sick with sweat as he took laboring breaths.
Being a hero, you’d seen people hurt enough to know what it looked like. It had happened to you enough to know how it felt. Burns and bruises, you have scars across your body as a constant reminder of what you’d endured and what you were working towards. Any look at any of your classmates and they all had the same.
But this was different because nothing from the beginning of this mission had gone in any way anyone had expected. Nothing had gone to plan – not only had you failed to capture Shigaraki and more than half of the League of Villains, so many people had been hurt. People… people had died… Midnight-sensei and so many innocent civilians. Children orphaned, parents who’d lost their children, a wife who’d lost her husband. You’d seen it all. Had to pull little kids out from under rumble and hold bleeding wounds from the elderly.
If that hadn’t been enough to scare you – when you’d finally found Bakugou after having been separated from him at the beginning, he was… he was everything and more.
You’re ashamed to admit that you’d lost your cool.
Tears poured from your cheeks, screams of plea leaving your lips as he laid before you, so still you didn’t know if he was okay. If he was alive. Your mind had lost itself to the fear of losing him and you’d forgotten all rational sense, Iida practically having to pry you off of Bakugou so that the nurses could pull him away.
A few hours later and you were still waiting at the hospital to hear if he was okay.
Deku and Shoto were here too, and Aizawa-sensei. All of Class 1-A and most, if not all of Class 1-B were as well. They were scattered amongst the halls, Shoto and Deku had woken up so a few of them were in their rooms visiting. You wanted to, but you felt sick at the thought of leaving your spot in case any news came of Bakugou. You… You needed to be here when it happened, when he hopefully woke up.
Mitsuki had been by your side almost the entire time, and even though you’ve only met the woman a handful of times since your relationship with Bakugou had started, you found comfort in having her close. Masaru was, of course, here as well, sitting next to his wife while the two held onto each other. Masaru looked sick, skin incredibly pale and a look on his face that was unreadable but you felt you understood it well enough. His leg was pouncing in worry, digging holes into the palms of his hands.
All while Mitsuki sat next to you, incredibly still. She refused to say anything, and she’d hardly moved since she first sat down. You could only imagine what she felt.
Until a doctor had called the both of them into his room, and you hadn’t seen them for twenty minutes since. You hadn’t realized how much their presence had helped calm you, and knowing that whatever the doctor had had to say was an update on Bakugou made you even more anxious. Was it bad? Was… was Bakugou okay? There was no way for you to know and it was eating you alive, the not knowing, the waiting.
Of course everything will be okay.
You and I, we’ll be fine like we always are.
His words repeat in your mind like a mantra. The last words he’d said to you before everything had started. Bakugou had run off so quickly that you’d barely had time to react, and then before you’d known it he was gone, chasing after Deku and growing further and further away from you.
You hadn’t gotten to say goodbye. He wouldn’t let you – positive that this would be over in no time. That everything would be alright. Like it alway was.
Only this was the furthest thing from okay.
The sound of a door clicking open pulls you from your thoughts. You’re jumping to your feet before you even realize it, body moving on it’s own as your lips part, the worry crawling up the back of your throat no words are able to leave your lips. But then you see Mitsuki’s face, and there’s a smile on her lips and this look in her eyes that washes away all the worry.
All the tension leaves your body, dissipates from your muscles and you inhale so deeply, taking what feels like your first real breath in hours.
When she beckons you forward, you don’t hesitate. Racing through the door to Bakugou’s room, you feel your eyes watering all over again at the sight of him awake. Even though you know Bakugou hates when you get all emotional, you can’t help it, his name leaving your lips in a watery sob as his eyes meet yours and you’re making your way over to the chair perched next to his seat.
You don’t notice Mitsuki and Masaru slip out of the room, giving you both a moment of privacy. Your attention is solely focused on Bakugou, gripping onto his extended hand the second you’ve sat.
“I was so worried.”
“I told you it’d be fine, didn’t I?” Bakugou huffs, trying to smirk at you only to grimace in pain when he shifts wrong. “You never believe me.”
You just shake your head. “It’s not funny, jerk,” you cry, squeezing his hand. “I really thought… There was so much blood and you were so pale and I’ve seen it all before but it’s different when it’s you. And everyone’s so hurt that I didn’t know what I’d do if I lost you too. I wouldn’t… I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself for not being there.”
“Y/N,” Bakugou calls, voice slightly raspy with lack of use. “Look at me.”
Inhaling shakily, you flicker your eyes up to meet his own.
“I’m okay.”
Nodding, you let his words soothe you, leaning towards him.
“I shouldn’t have run off by myself,” he says after a moment. “I shouldn’t have left you.”
“Never do that again,” you huff, trying to glare at him but it looks more pitiful than anything. It brings a light smile to his lips as he watches you try to calm yourself, holding onto his hand like it’s a lifeline and you’re scared to let go of it. “Never leave me like that.”
“I won’t,” he whispers, uncharacteristically soft. “I promise.”
And it’s different from him – to be so compliant. But the truth was, when he’d jumped in front of Deku, he’d been just as scared to lose you in that moment.

Anyway, going to stick my hand directly into this hornets' nest. No, Mitsuki isn't intended to be perceived as abusive.
This manga is chock full of abusive parents and parent-like figures. This is not the tone Horikoshi uses when depicting an abusive family. The tone is too comedic and Bakugou is far too comfortable sitting on the same furniture with his parents and insulting them both to their faces. It reads as a disagreeable teenager feeling comfortable being his disagreeable self in front of his embarrassing parents.
Now, it is rather tone deaf to use this kind of slapstick humor in a manga that frequently tackles domestic abuse. Like many of the jokes surrounding Bakugou's own behavior, the humor here is in bad taste.
But there are too many people who use this scene to give Bakugou a tragic backstory to justify his behavior when the direct dialogue of this chapter explains he is like this because he has affluenza.
I'm not saying Mitsuki is a good parent. She might blame everyone else for why Bakugou is like this, but she is clearly the model for his inability to regulate his anger. And even in this chapter, Mitsuki reinforces the same black and white ideas about strength that created the sludge of his superiority-inferiority complex filled psyche.
Actually, her blame deflecting is something else Bakugou picked up from his mom. Mitsuki deflects the blame for her part in Bakugou's personality defects onto others and Bakugou deflects the blame for his part in preventing Izuku from having any sense of self-worth.
But yeah, not being abusive doesn't mean she's a good parent. Someone can be a toxic parent who largely has a negative influence on their kids without any abuse. It's just a much more common and mundane form of bad parenting.

Inko & Katsuki, motherly worry, bad parents Mitsuki & Masaru
Sometimes Inko reflects on the fact that no matter how great the success or how grand the honor, Katsuki never has a familiar face in the crowd. She’s managed to make it to every ceremony of Izuku’s possible since the moment he was old enough to toddle across the stage and bow, while Mitsuki and Masaru have made it to a grand total of one. She can’t help but imagine what that would be like for Katsuki, although he always puts on a brave face and acts like he doesn’t care.
But going through some old files on the computer one night shifts Inko’s mentality on the subject. She’s got countless videos of Izuku in choir performances, award ceremonies, school festival plays. And sure, she took them for Izuku, but Katsuki’s in there as well. He’s in a lot of the pictures they’ve taken too, somehow caught in the background or in the group photo of the entire class parents could request for a couple of yen. All these years she’s mourned that nobody is there to remember Katsuki’s accomplishments the way she does Izuku’s, and yet, here are the memories--in her.
So, from them on, Inko decides to be Katsuki’s familiar face in the crowd too.

Can't get enough of Single Dad!Bakugou so i wrote something lol.
Other Imagines:
–> Childhood best friend!Bakugou
–> Bakugou with a daughter that has daddy issues
Sooo, imagine:
Single Dad!Bakugou who at first, buys every single book that contains knowledge about raising a child.
Single Dad!Bakugou who allows the bakusquad to babysit from time to time.
Single Dad!Bakugou who wakes up (bolts out of the bed in the speed of light) every time he hears his baby's cries from the baby monitor in the middle of the night.
Single Dad!Bakugou who learns how to make a baby sling so he can carry the baby around the house.
Single Dad!Bakugou who passes out from sheer stress and exhaustion while discussing a mission with Deku (who ends up taking care of the baby for the rest of the day while he rests).
Single Dad!Bakugou who tears up when the baby finally says their first word and its 'Dada'.
Single Dad!Bakugou who feels overjoyed when his kid finally manifests their quirk and it's the same as his.
Single Dad!Bakugou who trains the kid and helps out with the homework whenever he has the time.
Single Dad!Bakugou who almost beats up a parent for not stopping their kid from bullying his own.
Single Dad!Bakugou who turns into a mother-hen the second his kid gets sick or injured while playing or during a training session.
Single Dad!Bakugou who allows the kid to sleep next to him after a bad nightmare or during a stormy night.
Single Dad!Bakugou who goes berserker on a villain for threatening to hurt his kid.
Single Dad!Bakugou who pays Mitsuki everytime the kid needs babysitting cause according to her: "Nothing's free in this life, brat!"
Single Dad!Bakugou who spoils his kid rotten and makes sure they have everything they need in their life.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what are your views on inko because as much as hori tries to paint her as this overprotective mother I just never seem to get that vibe. I always get the vibe that sometimes she does more harm them good to izuku . So I would like to know how you think of her character and how you would changed her character to seem more supportive i guess?
Hi @bibibbon 👋,
Midoriya Inko is someone who I feel like loves her son but she is not someone I view as a good parent.
She reads to me as emotionally neglectful of Izuku - a key example of this is letting Izuku stay in Aldera while Bakugou was exploding him and destroying his things his whole childhood. To people who try to defend her and say 'Izuku hid his bullying from her', how well do you think a four year old can hide being exploded or having their things destroyed?
Inko also reads as someone who is overly emotionally dependant on Izuku - *insert the scenes we have of her crying and Izuku comforting her here.* Most of these scenes are because of her worrying because of bad things that have happened TO IZUKU such as news of his quirklessness or when he wakes up from a coma after the War Arc. Parents are meant to provide emotional support and be a pillar of strength to their children - with Izuku he seems to be that for his mum because his Dad is MIA. This is an unhealthy dynamic because he should not be his mum's emotional support.
How would I rewrite Inko?
I would have her be a proactive presence in her son's life like parents should be.
I would have it so as soon as Inko realises her son is being bullied by Bakugou she is shown notifying the teachers / bringing this to Aldera's attention.
I would have it so when Aldera does nothing or if they refuse to do anything she reports them and transfers Izuku into a better school (such as Iida or Todoroki's schools - because Izuku deserves either of them as a childhood friend more than a decade of being abused by Bkg.)
I would show Inko confronting Bakugou's parents about Bakugou's bullying and behavior to bring it to their attention. (None of this "Auntie Inko" nonsense from Bakugou like I see some fics use even if Mitsuki is her friend, and that's not confirmed by canon, I can't see any good mum liking her son's abuser.)
I would keep her emotional nature but have her actively try to hide her upset from Izuku on certain things. I.e the Quirklessness diagnosis, I would have her try to reassure Izuku that she loves him and believes in him quirk or no quirk yet him catch her crying at night when she thinks he's asleep. (This keeps the angst but makes Inko look like a better and more supportive mum.)
I would have her have more of a suspicion of Yagi around Izuku and have her bond with Yagi more. - We know Yagi is All Might. We, as readers, know this is an innocent and wholesome mentorship but to Inko this strange man has just popped out of nowhere and is spending all this time with Izuku. That, if Inko knew of it, should raise Alarm bells to a parent. Plus it would be good for Inko to see over time how good Yagi is for Izuku and have Yagi and Inko bond outside of Izuku.
Have Inko learn of OFA - I am forever salty that BAKUGOU learnt of OFA before anyone else, let alone Izuku's mum. And this version especially has a right to know.
Have Inko have more of a problem with UA - UA doesn't seem to keep the parents well informed plus AM and Aizawa's 'teaching' leaves a lot to be desired. Having Inko have more of a problem with it cements her as looking out for her son's best interests and being a proactive rather than a passive presence in his life.
These are seven improvements I can think of at the top of my head. Inko is a character that could use some rewriting to be a good parent but ultimately loves her son.

Trying your damndest to make sure Katsuki can’t find you before the wedding. He’s so ready to fuck you in that dress, despite how you keep telling him its bad luck to see you beforehand.
Like he’s been waiting for this day. Despite everyone whining about how its ‘too soon,’ it ain’t coming soon enough for him. He’s wanted you as his wife for so long, and now you’re almost there.
He’ll be overcome with emotion seeing you in that pretty dress, of course. But boy is it gonna drive him bananas too.
The idea of fucking his wife’s cute little brains out is just the most erotic fuckin’ thing to him
RIP your pussy on your honeymoon lmfao
It’s the fact that he doesn’t know what you’re gonna wear- he knows his mother is taking charge of designing the dress (to exactly what you want), but he has no clue what you’re picking.
Even when he comes back to his childhood home for impromptu visits, claiming it’s because he wants to see his parents but Mitsuki isn’t stupid. She immediately hides any sketches or fabrics from the dress design so her son cant “accidentally” stumble upon them— and it infuriates Bakugou. Because he’s so eager to know what you’re going to look like. He wants to get it out of his system now because he knows deep down he won’t be able to hold it together on the day otherwise.
So the moment he finally sees you when you’re walking down the aisle? He’s a mess. There’s so many different emotions surging through him all at once that he feels dizzy. He hasn’t consciously lost control of his quirk for years and suddenly his palms are sweaty.
And now he has to make it through the ceremony with a raging hard on because you look perfect.

Bakugou Katsuki Centric | Parental Hakamata Tsunagu/Best Jeanist | Bad Mom Bakugou Mitsuki | Soulmates
The One Day That Changed Bakugou Katsuki's Entire Life by decaffinatedotaku
“Katsuki.” The hero’s voice was softer this time, he placed his other hand on his opposite shoulder.
God how pathetic must I look to make him wear that expression?
The concern was still there, but the man was clearly trying to steady Katsuki. When had he started shaking? He was trembling like a leaf. What the fucking hell is wrong with me today?
They were alone in the room, just the two of them. It was silent, except for the two of them. It was like they were wrapped up in their own little world, apart from the rest of reality.
Why is he acting so nice, why the actual hell is he being so nice? Stuff like this doesn’t normally bother me.
Why now?
