Summary: Your classmates had all turned into zombies and all you wanted was your boyfriend.
A/N: Lee Suhyeok x F!Reader
Word Count: 2,139
A/N: No one sent in AOUAD requests (because I'm like four years late lmao) so I took the matter into my own hands.
I also don't expect this to get many notes but you know what, I couldn't help myself.
Tumblr media
Everyone had turn into fucking zombies.
Somehow, in a blink of an eye, you'd watched person after person succumb to a man-eating monster in the span of seconds. There was blood everywhere, with guts hanging from bodies and the sounds of screams as people were eaten alive that was slowly driving you insane.
You'd gotten separated from the rest of your friends in the midst of all the madness. After being cornered by one of the zombies, you'd been forced to run another way, to leave On-jo and I-sak.
Sweat coated your skin like a second skin, there was dried blood caked onto your skin and you were starting to strongly dislike your schools uniform as a skirt seemed really unhelpful for surviving a zombie outbreak.
Your heart, still beating madly against your chest, was starting to ache as you pressed both your feet against the door in front of you. In a last mad dash for survival, you'd locked yourself into the janitors closet, just managing to shut the door as the zombie that had been chasing you reached you.
You were positive there was at least two, maybe three zombies pressed against the door trying to break in.
Eventually, they'd stop trying to get in. Despite how quickly everything had happened, you knew that the zombies were attracted to sound and since they couldn't see you, they'd either wander off or something else would catch their attention.
That didn't erase the fact that there were a lot more zombies wandering in and outside of the school. Even if you managed to get out of the janitors closet, the chances are survival were pretty slim to none. At least not on your own. You were just one person, scared out of your mind.
As the sound of the zombies drifts off, you slowly pull your feet away from the door. Your heart is beating erratically agaisnt your chest, fear coursing through your veins and making every movement hard. But, you push yourself, shifting until you're sat more upright.
Pulling your knees to your chest, you hug yourself. It had been a long run from the cafeteria and many near death experiences, not to mention the multitude of people you'd seen eaten and turn into a zombie right in front of you. Your hands were still frantically shaking, and all you wanted was Suhyeok.
It seemed silly, but you knew his presence would make you feel better. It was one thing to be alone, but another not knowing if he was okay.
He'd left lunch early to play some basketball and with a smile, a kiss and a promise to join him later, you'd continue chatting with On-jo and I-sak after he'd left. If you'd gone with him, sure, maybe you'd be dead, but you wouldn't be alone.
And you wouldn't be sat in a janitors closet wondering if he was okay.
You could imagine your boyfriend trying to make you laugh, even in a situation like this, and even if it would be ridiculous to anyone else, he'd still make you laugh. And that? That would be enough to comfort you, even if only a little.
Least of all, you knew you'd feel ten times better as Suhyeok always made you feel safe.
You're not sure how long you sit in that closet, hugging yourself and trying to fight back tears but it's long enough for you to realize that sitting there wasn't going to do anything. Suhyeok, if he was alive, wish you had to believe he was, wouldn't have left the school without you.
And you wanted to know if your friends were okay too.
When you'd ran from the cafeteria, you'd run up the stairs to the second floor. You bet that your friends and maybe Suhyeok were on the first floor, and maybe you could even escape out that way.
Maybe.
Inhaling sharply, your mind is made up then. You needed to get out.
Your eyes flicker around the closet. The janitors closet is small and, of course, filled with cleaning supplies of a variety. Your eyes, however, instantly zone in on the mop against the far wall. It was the best you had and you knew, no matter what, you couldn't stay locked in this closet. You were scared, terrified, but you'd go crazy locked in a small closet all by yourself. You also had no food or water.
Plus, you needed to find Suhyeok.
You remember seeing a few movies where one of the characters would snap the mop or broom over their knees to make a sharper weapon. You figure that'd be better that swinging slightly damp cotton at a zombies head. So, determined, you grab the mop and brace yourself.
Your first attempt, naturally, goes terribly. All you manage to do is make a loud thud and a resounding ache travel across your leg as you bite your lips to stop yourself from crying out in pain.
Breath halting, your eyes shift to the door, as if expecting to hear the zombies back at it. After minutes pass of nothing, you let out a light breath of relief.
Well, damp cotton was just going to have to do it.
Taking another survey of the closet, you look for anything else that could be helpful. Theres a few disinfectant sprays, a bucket and some paper towel, but other than that, nothing. Letting out a sigh, you shake your head.
Looks like this was the best you were going to get.
Setting your hand on the door knob, you pause just before opening it. Beyond the rapid pounding of your heart, you try to calm yourself best you can. Nothing would make the fear go away, but you couldn't go out there with any hopes of surviving if you didn't do it logically.
So, after a minute passes, you nod to yourself, determined. You slowly open the door, cautious to be as quiet as possible, peeking your head out enough to see outside. There's a few zombies wandering around and you can only assume more outside of your peripheral. But you see the stairs and you know that's your best shot.
And you couldn't stay there any longer.
Tightening your grip on the mop, you make your way out of the closet. You're deliberate in being quiet, making every step slow, cautious and silent.
It goes good for the first five minutes. You make it out of the closet and across the hallway, getting closer and closer to the stairs, when a loud squelching sounds from below you. Body freezing, you lower your gaze, realizing you'd stepped on...
Oh God, was that guts?
You have no time to dwell on it when you hear a load croak beside you. Head snapping up, your eyes widen when you realize a zombie is heading right towards you. You freeze, body tensing, hoping the zombie will think the sound was nothing and go away.
Except, it gets close enough to smell you and suddenly, it's letting out a cry as it starts running at you.
Letting out a gasp, you take the mop and swing it right at the zombie. You put all your strength into the swing, hitting the zombie right across the side of the side of its head. It's head turns and you feel like you hear a cracking sound, but a second later, the zombie's head snaps right back to look at you.
"Fuck," you whisper, breathless. "Stupid mop."
Turning without a seconds hesitation, you break out into a run yourself, heading straight for the stairs. You know you're attracting more zombies, but your best bet is reaching those stairs.
You never do.
Just as you ran past another clossroom, you lose your footing beneath you as a body falls on top of you. Instinctively, a scream tears past your lips as you roll so your back hits the ground with a harsh thud that has your vision blurring momentarily.
The zombie snaps its jaw at you, trying to eat you, as you brace your arm against it's chest, trying to hold it back.
You realize in your fall you'd dropped the mop, cursing yourself as you try to reach around for it. You can hear more footsteps approaching and know that if you don't get this zombie off you and start running, you will be eaten alive.
"Get off!" You scream, trying to shove the zombie off of you. "Stop!"
Your head turns, cheek pressing to the ground as you just narrowly miss a bite to your face.
You feel your eyes well, certain that this would be your death, when suddenly the weight is off of you. You blink, dazed and confused, breathless on the floor as you glance up only to see a familiar face.
Suhyeok stands in front of you, staring down at you with wild concern, as your head turns, only to see the zombie that had been trying to eat you on the ground next to you. Your mop, snapped in half, was through it's neck.
You can hardly believe your eyes.
"Suhyeok..."
"Y/N..." Suhyeok breathes, shaking his head as he reaches for you, pulling you up to your feet as you latch onto him desperately.
It's so nice to see another person, alive, but even more to see Suhyeok.
Holding you in front of him, Suhyeok's eyes glance around you frantically, looking for any injuries as you stare up at him in disbelief.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Suhyeok breathes, "you haven't been bit have you?"
Panting, you shake your head. "No, no... Suhyeok--"
Whatever you're about to say is cut off as a loud screech catches your attention, both of your heads glancing back to see a handful of zombies headed right your way. Instantly, Suhyeok's grip shifts to your hand, threading his fingers through yours.
"We've gotta go. Come on!"
He pulls you with him, racing right for the stairs you'd been aiming for. Instead of going down as you'd intended to, he races up the stairs, taking two steps at a time as you desperately try to keep up.
It isn't until you reach the third floor that he turns, moving into the hall as Suhyeok continues to pull you with him. You both narrowly avoid zombies, with Suhyeok having to kick a few out of the way. Eventually, Suhyeok slips into a classroom, the both of you stumbling in breathless.
There's a zombie on the other side of the classroom, to which Suhyeok quickly lets go of your hand to race at it. Using the stable point of a desk, he kicks it across the face before grabbing one of the chairs and using it as leverage to force the zombie out the other door.
He slides the door shut instantly, using the chair to lock it shut before moving to the curtains across the far wall, shutting them all.
You watch him, breathless, wide eyed, completely useless, in disbelief that he was even in here with you.
Once Suhyeok's satisfied with the room and the both of you safe, at least temporarily, he finally turns back to you. He takes your hands in his, brushing back your hair and holding you close.
"I was so worried," he breathes. "On-jo said they lost you in the haste of everything."
You already feel like a mess but the tears that well in your eyes is inevitable. You'd been so scared, so alone, that the sight of the person you'd wanted to see the most is enough to send you into a fit of despair.
Suhyeok's eyes widen, instantly panicked.
"Y/N?" He calls, voice pitching. "Y/N? What's wrong? Are you hurt? Were you bit?"
Raising your hands to hold his own, you shake your head.
"No, no," you whisper, meeting his eyes. "I'm okay, I promise. I just... I was so scared."
Shoulders falling, Suhyeok frowns down at you.
"I won't leave you alone again, okay? I promise."
Nodding, you lean into his touch.
"The others," Suhyeok breathes, as if suddenly remembering. "They're alive... I left to look for you but they're... they're okay. We'll get back to them, yeah? I'll keep you safe."
Your relief at your friends being okay is immense, squeezing his hands as you nod. But the fact that Suhyeok had left them to find you... it's more than you can handle.
Smiling softly, Suhyeok leans forward, pressing his lips against your own in a gentle, warm but brief kiss. Your eyes flutter shut at the action, relishing in the warmth and safety of the feeling, meeting his eyes once more as Suhyeok pulls back.
"We'll get you a better weapon than a mop, too, yeah?"
For the first time since this all begin, you let out a soft laugh, shaking your head.
"Definitely."

A Death's Tale [1/?]
Summary: Thanos sees you that night, standing in front of that water, with clear intent to die, and he's reminded of himself only days before. You see Thanos that day, with the sun beaming on your backs and playing Red Light, Green Light, and realize he's not who you thought he was.
A Squid Games Rewrite Series.
Part One
Pairing: Choi Su-Bong "Thanos"/Player 230 x Fem!Reader
TW for this chapter: death, mention and intent to commit suicide
Word Count: 2025
A/N: Here it is! Finally! The first part to my Squid Games rewrite with Thanos, as per your guys' vote! Honestly, this took me so long because I intended to wait until season three and then was HEAVILY disappointed by the season it killed all my interest to write this series. But after accepting the ending isn't what I wanted, I decided to finally write this as promised.
And, yes, this rewrite will include season three. I don't want to spoil anything, but lets just say I plan to rewrite it so Thanos doesn't die at the end of season two.
If you'd like a tag list, let me know. Also, please comment or send me ask telling me what you think!
This chapter is a bit shorter than future chapters will be and doesn't actually include anything based on episodes.

Chapter 1 - A Chance Meeting
Your mother was dead.
You sat in that hospital chair until the bitter end. Months and months of fighting, months and months of hoping, praying and begging that she’d pull through. And today all of that meant nothing.
The man in front of you was saying something important. You knew he was saying something important. But you didn’t have the heart to listen. How could you bear to hear the next steps, where her body was, the money you owed, when your mother was dead?
Dead.
And the money—God, the money.
You owed so much of it. You already had. It kept piling and piling, but it had felt worth it then because you’d been sure that the hard times would be rewarded by your mother surviving. By your mother beating the cancer poisoning her body.
But she hadn’t.
And now she was dead.
So, you nod. You nod without listening. Your hands hug yourself, your shirt gripped tightly between your fingers as the tears fall freely and silently down your cheeks. Your eyes were already red and puffy, exhaustion burning through you, and all you wanted to do was sink in your bed and forget it all.
Finally, after what feels like horrors, he stops talking.
You leave without saying anything in response, body on autopilot as you turn. You feel the gaze of every person there, even the ones who never actually look at you. Their stares burn into your back, caked with pity and it makes you feel sick. You craved it so desperately to be alone, because the only person you actually wanted to be with was nothing more than a lifeless body.
Finally, you make it home.
The trip there felt like a blur. It almost felt as if you’d blinked and were suddenly there.
Your eyes itched and burned, and you’re sure there were streaks across your cheeks. You’d probably been a sight for sore eyes for everyone you’d walked past that night.
You’re not thinking about anything other than sinking into the depths of nothing.
And then you see it.
Something white in the corner of your eye. You blink, finally clearing your vision as your eyes squint, grabbing the paper taped to the front of your door. In large letters, written across the top, the cherry on top of everything feels like a slap across the face.
EVICTION NOTICE.
The paper stares back at you, almost as if in disbelief that this was happening.
Until, eventually, you let the notice fall to the floor.
Once again, although it never stopped, your body turns without thought. Numb to everything, you walk away from the place you’d been thinking about since you’d left the hospital. You walk and you walk, without a single destination in mind. You walk for a long time, an hour, if not more. One leg moves in front of the other, beyond your realm of control, without your understanding.
Until the deep expanse of water is in front of your eyes.
The soft sounds of the water moving with the wind is the only sound you hear, finally drowning out the pounding nothingness in your head that aches. Your shoes grow wet as the water hits the top of them, soaking your socks and your feet.
And you think you could just let the water swallow you whole.
The tears are gone. The ache in your heart persists.
Everything just hurts so much.
And you wonder, would it really be so bad? All you’d have to do is walk a couple of steps forward and let the water take you and it’d be all over, wouldn’t it?
You didn’t have anyone left, other than the surging amount of money you owed. You didn’t have a father or a sibling and you certainly didn’t have your mother anymore. You’d lost everyone you’d cared about when your entire life became about taking care of your mother. No one wanted a friend who couldn’t enjoy things, no one wanted to deal with the burden of a woman haunted by debt and life and death and everything in between.
Because eventually people got bored of the awkward conversations, the canceling and the crying. So, they just left. Left until you had no one but your mother, and now you didn’t even have her either.
It would be easy, just to step forward, take one step then another and then another, until the water eventually swallowed you whole and took everything with it.
It would all just disappear.
It’s that thought that consumes you. It’s that thought that makes you walk forward.
Or, at least, you would have had a voice not called out for you.
“Isn’t that water fucking cold?”
It makes you nearly jump out of your skin. Every muscle in your body tenses as your heart lurches to your throat. You spin, wild, nearly losing balance and falling flat on your butt, only to see a man with bright purple hair standing right in front of you.
He’s got a vape in his hand, taking a strong puff of it, as his intense eyes stare back at you.
“Wh-What?” You gasp, not entirely sure if you weren’t making this up in your head.
“The water,” he gestures in front of him, “it must be cold.”
Your eyes lower to your feet, staring at your soaked shoes, and numbly, your mind realizes it is cold.
“A little,” you say, unsure, “yeah.”
He blinks, brows twitching, his hand falling by his side. “What’re you doing standing in it for?”
“O-Oh, I—” trying to kill myself “—I was just… I don’t really know.”
It’s the best you can come up with, which is honestly not much. You’re not willing to tell a stranger that you’d been about to walk into the lake and drown yourself, but you couldn’t think of anything better either.
The man, still looking at you with those wild, intense eyes, lets out a low laugh, one that for some reason makes a shiver travel up your spine. He takes a step towards you, an action that has you tensing in uncertainty, but then you watch as he pulls off his jacket, before extending it towards you.
“Here,” he says, his tone considerably softer than it’s been this entire time. There’s something in his eyes that shine that, briefly and barely noticeable, but it makes your heart race because it felt like he knew. Like he knew why you were there, despite you having pointedly not saying anything. “You must be damn cold in just a shirt.”
The jacket hovers in front of you, his hands loosely holding it in your direction as he blinks down at you.
It’s incredibly kind, if not a little strange. Mainly kind though.
That’s all you can focus on.
Slowly, your fingers grab the jacket, pulling you closer to yourself. You don’t put it on, not right away, instead choosing to stare back up at this strange man. This man, with bright purple hair and eyes that could read into your soul, that stumbled across you about to kill yourself. Who had stopped you, whether intentionally or not, from killing yourself. Who seemed to understand what you’d been doing despite you saying nothing. Who said nothing about it regardless.
This man who’d offered you his jacket because he thought you must be cold.
“Also, here,” he shifts, suddenly crouching in front of you before standing back up straight in mere seconds. You stare back at him, still blank faced, still confused, until he’s extending his hand out back towards you and you see the small card in his hands.
A flash of that night, with that mysterious man in the black suit who’d offered you the solution to all of your problems, where your cheek had stung and your body had trembled with the uncertainty of his promise of more.
Taking the card from his hands, you stare at the square, triangle and circle on the front of it.
You’d forgotten you’d even had that card.
The purple-haired man’s eyes hover on the card too, but he doesn’t say anything. The second you take it, he’s stepping back, turning and walking off without a single word.
You watch him, watching as he grows further and further away, until finally he disappears from your sight completely.
You realize then you’d never asked his name.
Feeling the weight of that tiny card in your hand, you shift, wrapping the jacket the man had given you around your shoulders, pushing your arms through the sleeves and hugging it close. The second it’s warmth surrounds you, you pull the card in front of your face, taking in the corner of it that had grown wet from the lake, staring at those shapes once more.
You turn it, staring at the numbers.
You’d gotten this card from that man in the suit a day before your mother had died. When you’d taken it from him, you’d flipped back and forth on whether you were going to call the number or not. The man in the suit had promised you it would solve all your problems, mainly because all of your problems revolved around money. Or, at least, you thought they had. You’d thought that no matter what, if you had the money, your mother would be okay.
But then she had died, so any thought of the card had drifted from your mind.
You were going to kill yourself. A second more and you would’ve walked into that water and never looked back. But then that man came, insisting the water must be cold. It was such a strange and unexpected thing to hear seconds away from committing suicide that the whole interaction had stunned you completely.
But, most importantly, beyond any of that, that man had shown you such kindness.
A man who didn’t know you.
And it made it all go away.
Not your mother being dead, or the debt, or the eviction notice, or the loss. But that silent pounding in your head that had made your heart ache so painfully to the point that death felt like the only escape — he’d made that go away.
That man had barely said anything, but his actions reminded you of your mothers kindness. Of the way she’d spent her life trying to make you the happiest she could. You’d never grown up wealthy or even well off, but your mother had always made the most of it.
Even when your father had left her when you were only two, your mother always made sure you were happy and healthy. Days spent in her arms as she sang you lullabies and made you smile. Your mother was your entire life, always, the one who’d been there for you always.
Her dying had made it felt like that sort of kindness would never exist again.
And then that man, in his own strange and unexpected way, made you feel it all over again.
Closing your eyes, you inhale sharply.
“Live your life.”
With a shudder and a cry, those words echo in your mind. With a dying breath and weakening body, your mother had used the last of her strength to tell you that.
And you’d been about to kill yourself.
The tears well in your eyes, tears you hadn’t known you had strength left to cry, a different ache from the one before welling in your chest as you let out a sob. It isn’t silent tears, it’s you crying out all the anguish you desperately needed to.
And so you let it all out.
Every bit of hurt, every bit of fear, everything you’ve felt today and every day for the past few months since your mother was diagnosed with cancer. You just let it out all out, in the middle of nowhere, where anyone could hear you, crying and sobbing into your hands as you hug the jacket of a man you didn’t know the name of.
And then, when you’ve cried everything you can, you’re typing the numbers on the back of that card into your phone and calling it.
“Hello. Who’s calling?”

Can we sit down and talk about how out of character Dae-Ho was this season? It made absolutely no sense how he acted, attacking gi-hun, snapping at random times and it’s now coming out he wasn’t actually in the marines?
It makes zero sense.
How could someone who supposedly didn’t go into the marines have clear PTSD
It seems that they tried to villainize him to justify killing him off in only the second episode, while giving him no screen time.

I'm actually gonna jump of a bridge I cannot handle it anymore GEGE PLS STOP
Tumblr media
"I've gotta call my mom."
There's a beat--one, two--before a loud cackle fills the otherwise silent classroom. Your eyes shift from Geto's pretty face to see Gojo bent over, hysteric, a hand against his stomach and tears building in the corner of his eyes.
"Does your mom still check up on you, then, Suguru?"
Your eyes narrow, but when you turn back to Geto, concerned he'd be embarrased, he's smirking at Gojo.
Shoko, ignoring them both as usual, lazily braids your hair.
"You're just jealous," Geto says, the tease in his tone never faltering as Gojo's laugh fades and he turns to stare at Geto, lips parted. "Poor Satoru doesn't get calls from his mom."
It's moments like these you're reminded of how stupid boys can be.
Teasing each other over calls from their moms.
"Psh!" Gojo brushes off, catching himself and wiping the shock off his face as he leans into the chair he's sitting in backwards and smirks at Geto. "You wish. At least I'm not babied."
"It's okay, Satoru," and Gojo's name comes out like a song as Geto says it. "Maybe one day your mom will care."
And honestly, you're sure, if anyone else had made that comment, they wouldn't ever make it again. But this is how Geto and Gojo are. They tease and borderline bully one another, but there's still smiles on their faces and probably later tonight they'll working together to tease Nanami as if they weren't throwing insults at one another just a few hours earlier.
It brings a smile to your lips.
Gojo sticks his tongue out at Geto as he stands, to which Geto flips him off, but before he turns the door Gojo tells him he'll meet him later.
Geto nods with a smile.
Smile stretching to a grin, you follow after Geto, flicking Gojo's forehead on your way to which he swats your hand away but laughs nonetheless. You wave to Shoko who nods, cigarette in her mouth, and when you reach the door, Geto's already waiting for you.
He shuts the door behind you, meeting your waiting gaze.
"I was serious about calling my mom, you know," he grins.
You shrug, clutching your hands behind your back as you follow his step, swaying side to side beside him. "I know," you assure, "but I like sitting in your room when you do."
Geto lets out a light laugh; "doesn't it get boring?"
You both make your way out of the building, starting the trek across the field towards the doors. "Nope," you grin, turning your head to the side to look at him properly. "I like listening to you talk. Especially to your mom. You sound so happy."
His cheeks warm, faintly, embarrassed at having been caught.
You just reach for his hand, threading your fingers through his. Geto returns the hold instantly, squeezing your hand.
"Hey, Suguru," you call, voice a light hum. Geto tilts his head, silently inviting you to continue. "You think I can meet your mom one day?"
Meeting your eyes, his own widen.
"You'd want to?"
"Of course," you nod without hesitation. "Do you think she'd want to meet me?"
Geto scoffs, as if the question itself was ridiculous. "Of course she would," he laughs, shaking his head. "Ever since I first told her I had a girlfriend, she's been harrassing me to bring you over so she can meet you."
Eyes sparkling, you giggle; "really?"
He nods, opening the door to the dorms, without ever letting go of your hand.
"Definitely. I can talk to her today about arranging a visit."
Beaming up at Geto, you let out a little jump of excitement. The sight pulls a smile to his lips and Geto lets out a light laugh.
"And Suguru?"
Raising a brow, Suguru prompts you; "yes?"
"Don't listen to Satoru," you grin, "I love that you're a mama's boy."

In Your Embrace.
Summary: Luffy has the great idea for some team bonding and Zoro makes the most of it.
Pairing: OPLA!Zoro Roronoa x F!Reader
Word Count: 1,509
A/N: I couldn't not write a OPLA!Zoro piece for my series after the little teaser that came out today. Strawhat slumber party??????? I LOVE
You don't have to read the series, but if you'd like to, you can find it here!
Tumblr media
"You realize Luffy's been here the whole time, right?"
Looking up from the book she'd been previously peacefully sleeping, Nami quirks a brow at you.
"Surely, I would've heard him--"
As if she speaks it into existence, in the very next second, a loud snore carries across the room. Stifling the laugh that threatens to bubble out of your lips, you watch as Nami moves to the end of her bed, finally noticing Luffy who'd placed himself there a while ago.
You'd seen him when you'd come into your room, with the intention of following Nami's lead and taking advantage of some quiet reading time. You'd paused at the sight of him, brows raised, but when you noticed how peaceful he looked and how Nami, at the time, hadn't seemed bothered, you'd shrugged it off.
It didn't occur to you until twenty minutes later that Nami just might've, somehow, not known he was there.
"Luffy."
Pushing yourself to your feet just as Nami calls out to your Captain, a giggle escapes your lips when he continues to simply snore, prompting your navigator to deliver a rather sharp smack over the top of his head. Luffy jumps immediately at the touch, catching his strawhat from falling just in the nick of time as he blinks owlishly at you.
"Luffy," Nami calls again, "what are you doing here?"
"Is your room not good enough to nap in?" You tease, tilting your head at Luffy as you crouch in front of him.
Unphased, as always, Luffy beams at the both of you.
"Nami! Y/N!" He greets, "I had an idea. I realized every great pirate crew needs some good, quality bonding time!"
Meeting your eyes, Nami frowns.
Throwing his hands up in the air, Luffy is oblivious to Nami's hesitance. "So we're having a slumber party!"
"No, no," Nami argues instantly, "we're not having a slumber party."
Just as she finishes her words, the door to your shared room opens and in comes Sanji with two trays. "I made snacks!" He grins, "truffle popcorn for the group!" As he shuffles in, Usopp comes bounding in behind him with the projector snail and a grin, waving at you as you stand, moving out of Sanji's way.
"For the group, Luffy," Sanji mumbles as Luffy tries to snatch the popcorn for him.
"And I fixed the snail projector," Usopp says, face falling as he pauses in recollection. "Which... it's kind of a disturbing process."
Hands on your hips, you grin at Nami; "looks like our rooms been hijacked."
She huffs, rolling her eyes but the fond smile that curls on her lips as Sanji takes a seat next to her is undeniable.
Just then, the door opens again. Your face instantly brightens at the sight of Zoro.
"Zoro!" Luffy calls, "you made it!"
Surveying the room, Zoro meets your eyes, gaze softening, before turning to Luffy and shrugging. "You said there'd be booze."
With that, he turns to grab a chair and decision made, you move over to Sanji, who's already holding the bottle of sake he'd grabbed out towards you. He sends you a wink as you grab at, smiling shyly at him before moving your way around the bed.
"So, question," Sanji turns to Zoro, "do you sleep with those swords?"
Pausing just as you hand the sake to him, Zoro's face is blunt as he says; "maybe."
You let out a soft giggle at that, Zoro watching you for a moment before stepping behind you to grab a spare chair.
"Okay," Nami sighs, "I guess we are having a slumber party."
"It's showtime!" Sanji grins at her.
Usopp finishes setting up the white sheet that will act as your mock projector screen, letting out giggles of excitement as he sits down with a blanket. Realizing the movie is about the start, you turn to ask Nami to make some room for you when a hand falls on your hip, pulling you back.
The lights click off, shrouding you in darkness as your back falls into a familiar chest. You turn, catching Zoro's gaze in the lowlight as he smirks at you, settling you on his lap.
"Won't you get uncomfortable?" You whisper to him, not wanting to disturb the others as the movie starts.
Zoro quirks a brow at you, as if asking if you're really asking that, before proceeding to slip his arm around your waist and pull you flush against him. A flush coats your cheeks as he does, but you let yourself lean into his embrace, watching as he tilts his head back to take a spit of the sake before turning to focus on the movie.
-
An hour into the movie and you and Zoro are the only ones still awake.
Usopp, despite his initial excitement, had been the first to fall asleep. You'd caught the end of his head tipping before he righted himself, only to proceed to do the same thing for the next five minutes. Luffy's snores filtered the room shortly after and then, when you'd turn to say something to Nami, you'd noticed her and Sanji resting peacefully on her swinging bed.
Honestly, you'd expected Zoro to be the first to fall asleep, since he regularly napped. So you were pleasantly surprised when you felt his fingers brush against the hem of his shirt and his eyes on you.
"They're the ones who wanted to do this and they're the first to fall asleep," he snorts, voice low as he glances down at Luffy and Usopp.
You giggle, "I mean, part of a slumber party is to... slumber, right?"
Raising a brow, Zoro just chuckles, shrugging as he takes another sip of his sake.
Realizing there wasn't much point to watching movie any longer, especially now that you were hyperaware of the fact that it was just you and Zoro awake, and the fact that you'd honestly struggled to pay attention the whole time... you shift on Zoro's lap. You tilt so you're turned towards him, and reach your hand out.
He eyes your hand, blinking, before handing you the sake.
"Thought you didn't like drinking."
Shrugging, you smile as you take a sip. It burns down the back of your throat and a series of coughs leaves your lips as you swallow, prompting Zoro to laugh, as he takes the sake back.
"Wanted to know why you're always drinking it," you mumble, still catching your breath. "That's awful."
"You get used to it," Zoro explains. Then, wiping at your mouth, Zoro raises a brow; "you've really never had any sake before?"
You shake your head, "no. And I probably won't again."
"I'll get you to like it," Zoro says, causing you to blink up at him.
Smiling, you bite your lip; "yeah?"
"Yeah," he nods. "After all, my girl's gotta be able to handle her liquor."
Something flutters in your stomach at his words, a shiver crawling up the back of your spine as you meet Zoro's gaze in the low moonlight, eyes twinkling.
"Your girl?"
Smirking, Zoro shrugs; "do you not like it?"
"No," you mumble, fiddling with your fingers. "I definitely like it."
He snorts, again, this time laced with affection and feeling a surge of confidence, you lean forward, pressing a kiss to the edge of his lips. The action surprises Zoro, you can tell by the way his body freezes at the touch, and you smile to yourself, proud to have caught him off guard and move to lean back.
The bottle of sake clatters to the ground with a loud thump, but before you can even tell him off for being loud, his hand is on the back of your head and he's pulling you forward to press his lips against yours.
You gasp into his mouth and Zoro takes full advantage of it, slipping his other arm around your waist to pull you closer.
Then, the lights flicker on.
You pull away, jumping as your eyes squint at the sudden light. It takes you a second, but you see Nami standing by the light switch, hands on her hips.
"Get a room, you two."
Cheeks burning, you hide your face in your hands. Zoro, unbothered, simply shrugs, moving to lean forward, you still in his arms and shifting with him, and grabs his rogue bottle of sake off the ground.
"Ugh," Usopp calls from his spot, "who turned on the lights?"
He's followed by a loud snore from Luffy.
Sanji raises his head; "Nami, did something happen?"
Meeting your eyes, Nami smirks at you; "we didn't finish the movie."
Relieved she didn't say more, your shoulders ease as Zoro chuckles behind you.
"Ah!" Usopp calls, loud enough it stirs Luffy awake. "I don't even remember when I fell asleep."
"Is there any popcorn left?" Luffy groans, rubbing at his eyes.
As the chatter continues, you turn to Zoro, lips still tingling from the way he'd kissed. He meets your gaze, smirking, and something twinkles in his gaze.
A promise for later.
You flush even more.

Can't Deny You.
Summary: Zoro has always hid his pain from everyone, but you refuse to let him hide it from you.
Pairing: Zoro Roronoa x F!Reader
A/N: Some fluff after the trauma I experienced in Sabaody :(
Word Count: 1,315
If you see spelling mistakes, no you did not :)
Tumblr media
You could tell something was wrong.
You meant that beyond the obvious - Zoro had gotten hurt. You knew it had something to do with his battle with Kuma, but it was worse than what you had seen before your memory went blank.
It was way worse.
When Sanji had come running back with a severely injured and bloody Zoro, your heart had dropped to the pit of your stomach. Although you knew Chopper was an extremely skilled doctor, you hadn't been able to leave his side despite all the festivities. You sat beside him, clutching his hand and watched with a fond, but small worried smile as your crew celebrated another win.
Zoro, resting, hadn't moved that entire night.
Now, a few days later, back on the Sunny and heading to the next island, Zoro was back to normal. Despite his injuries, he was still training. He still napped for most of the day. He still kept to himself and went on with his normal day-to-day routine.
Everything was back to normal. But you knew.
He was hurt more than he was letting on. He thought no one noticed it, noticed the way his face would pinch briefly when he moved wrong when trianing. Or when he'd sit, and you'd seen the muscles in his neck tense with the movement. When his hands would clench around his swords.
You noticed.
You had no doubt there was others on the crew who knew what had happened. There was a delicacy Brook considered Zoro with which was different than the rest of the crew as he adjusted. There was a deliberate intent in the way Robin would check in on him.
And Sanji, who suprised you most of all. Sanji who outwardly acted the same, still getting into the same silly arguments with Zoro, still threw insults his way when there was no cause for it, but you saw the way his eyes would linger on the swordsman. It was like he was waiting for Zoro to collapse and was terrified of it happening at any moment.
You knew they knew, but you didn't want the answer from them. You're not even sure they'd tell you. It was clear whatever had happened, Zoro didn't want anyone to know - especially Luffy. That was fine.
But you weren't anyone.
So, on the third day of watching Zoro silently struggle, you'd had enough.
He's in the training room Franky had made for him when you approach him.
There's a line of sweat beading across his forehead, shirtless with the bandages Chopper had put on him on full display. The sight brings an instant frown to your face, fists clenching just as Zoro notices your presence, turning to face you.
"Oh, hey," he calls, voice light but face tinged with an expression of confusion on why you were here. It wasn't often you bothered him while training, and if you did, you normally followed him when he first left and would watch him.
"What's up?"
Stepping further into the room, you let the door fall shut behind you. There's a beat of silence that follows as you try to collect your thoughts where Zoro realizes there's something up.
Setting down his swords, Zoro meets your awaiting gaze.
"What happened?"
It's clear Zoro tries to mask the reaction, but you see it. See the way his eyes briefly widen and a look of discomfort crosses his face as you stare back at him in concern.
"Nothing happened," he replies, fully aware of just what you were asking about. He wasn't going to pretend like he didn't know, that was a waste of time, but that didn't mean he was going to tell you either.
Sighing, you step towards him, crossing the distance until you're directly in front of him. "I'm not an idiot, Zoro."
He shakes his head, "I never said you were."
"You're treating me like I am," you huff. "Do you really think I can't tell you're hurt? More than you're letting on?"
Zoro visibly swallows, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's nothing."
Frustrated and at your final wits, you reach forward before Zoro can react, grabbing his arm and pulling so they fall by his sides. If you were anyone else, Zoro would've stopped you, but he won't when it's you. You use that to your full advantage.
Arms out of the way, you use a single finger to press directly into his chest, hard enough that if it was anyone else, their balance would've been shifted. Zoro doesn't move, but the reaction you wanted, you get.
Instantly, his face pinches in that way you've seen over the past few days. His eyes narrow and his lips thin as his jaw clenches, before he fixes it; but both of you know the gig is up.
Slowly, you inhale, before meeting his eyes. "Before Kuma sent that shock wave across the island, you were fighting him. I watched it happen. I know that wasn't enough to hurt you like this. Something happened afterwards."
Lips still stretched thin, Zoro sighs; "something did. But it's fine."
"Zoro," you call, voice sharp in a way it's never been before. It causes his eyes to widen, shocked by the anger in your tone. Something changes in his expression then, a look of defeat and you let out a sigh, shoulders falling as your tone softens. "What happened?"
And so he tells you.
He tells you about what happened with Kuma. About how his sacrifice. About what he had to endure. And then he finishes by making you promise you won't tell Luffy or anyone else.
Biting your lip, your eyes graze the bandages across his chest as he finishes, your chest twisting. You known it was something awful and you'd wanted to know, but hearing it out loud was something different. To know Zoro had been alone when all of that had happened...
Taking a small step forward, you reach out for Zoro. He lets you, arms still hanging by his sides as you set your hands on his chest, brushing across the white bandages with a gentle, soothing touch.
Zoro sees the words on your lips before you even say them.
"Don't apologize."
Blinking, you glance up at him, surprise evident on your face.
Zoro just shakes his head. "I don't regret it and I'd do it again. For Luffy, for the crew and for you."
Swallowing thickly, you raise your hands, squeezing his shoulders.
Slowly and carefully, Zoro's hands fall on your hips in response.
You shake your head; "I can't believe you went through that alone."
Zoro just sighs, raising one of his hands to cup the back of your head as he pulls you into an embrace. You lean into the touch, letting your head fall against his chest as you carefully wrap your arms around his waist, not wanting to hurt him more.
"It's fine."
"It's not," you dismiss, pulling back to meet his eyes. When he doesn't respond, you continue. "Let me take care of you."
Brows furrowing, Zoro's lips part.
"You shouldn't be training when you're so hurt," you say, pulling back from his touch to slip your hand into his. Zoro's lets out a noise at that, and you gently tug him with you. "You should be resting. And I'll take care of you while you are."
"Y/N," Zoro starts, "I'm fine--"
"I don't want to hear it," you cut him off, pointing your finger at him. You once again take advantage of the fact that Zoro is a huge softy when it comes to you, and has never been able to argue to your wishes. "You're resting and that's the end of it."
Huffing, Zoro lets you pull him. "I'll rest for today." He comprises.
You shrug and the both of you know he'll be resting for a lot more than just today.
