DISCLAIMER:this all are a fiction works and not any of em based on real deals,i use other pop cultures fictional medias as references so...maybe a little bit talk about this kinda...random au that i made yeah all of em are connected each others and also an expansion lore of my other LT AU:divided horizon and yes the main characters are....different in each of em,and also they kinda...have different stuffs to dealt with and to solve,and each shits that happened onto them was caused by different factors like bugs's problems was caused by his encounter with cecil which made him become aliven't,ace dealt with losing both of his parents,and other shits,yakko and his insecurities beneath his fun and easy going attitude and buster with...a lot of terrifying shits happened to him which i refuse to elaborate more because...graphics so yeah ....angst here n there lmao but yeah don't worry,every stage of grieves has redemption arcs and solving problem times and they eventually would got it somewhere in the middle of their stories

Don't think about bugs always having a mandatory love interest and how that affects daffy. Don't think about it. Don't think about how one second daffy is spending the night bantering and joking with bugs, eating the dinner he knows is made for him and him only. Reveling in the fact that bugs was expecting, anticipating, if not, then maybe even hoping that daffy will show up and bugs *prepared* a dinner for him. And then the other second having to look at every single piece of merchandise and media pushing this picture perfect relationship of Bugs and Lola. Don't think about how Daffy had to sit through each and every love interest that bugs had. Whether that's honey bunny or Penelope or currently, Lola. How he watched as bugs allegedly, "fell in love" with them, as far as the audience knows. And don't think about how, maybe somewhere in the haze, he started to doubt bugs himself. What if he *did* fall in love and everything daffy sees is just a delusion? What if all they've been through is just that. A circumstance. What if the mandatory love interest is more? More than they ever were?

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Daffy isn't ever going to be some one who bugs is in love with. And that has nothing to do with bugs' feelings, no, it's just how the universe works. They weren't meant to be, not in the official sense.

The thread commentary where I go insane over Issue 12 of the Looney Tunes comics

(Adding the read more tag here because this post is hefty. All the text proceeding this is my live commentary from back then)

Running into Bugs’ arms for safety as usual, I see

In the roaring twenties, Bugs was still considered entertaining. But for stand up comedy. Which sorta makes sense since he does say funny remarks.

Just Daffy ref— I love how the line art gives the illusion of eyelashes

This song Bugs is singing is from the movie “The Cotton club” — so this story thing could be a parody? Maybe? Also here’s the song if y’wanna hear it. Really nice sounding.

Ok bruh if you didn’t distract Daffy with a kiss, he would’ve had more time before he’d get caught

Anyways, take two. Daffy goes back disguised as a more believable identity. Bugs still kinda playing along with a teasing “Who? Little ol me?”

Also that last panel… Bugs kinda does have that condition in a meta sense as do most franchise characters

Present day thoughts: Aside from the comic cover being a hilarious thumbnail that incidentally smokes out the Baffy shippers (me), I found this story to be pretty standard for a Bugs and Daffy involved plot. See, if Bugs doesn't contribute much to the story and gets disproportionate applause for doing the bare minimum, I tend to be less engaged with the story. Like, unless he actually earned the applause, then I'll bite. His popularity plays a decent role in this one, so yeah, I'm not attached beyond the kiss. Also our server made that kiss panel a sticker and called it "oedipus complex, bugs?" and I feel like that deserves to be mentioned at least once.

Hey!! First of all I just want to tell you I love your content so much, your looney toons and hey Arnold content bring me so much nostalgia and the las comics have given me emotionally damage (in the best way I promise)

Also I know this may be out of topic but about your opinion on LT back in action?? I'm so hype about it not only is one of my favorites movies but the reason I know there's more about this characters that it lead on

I tell ya every time I see the campfire scene with bugs and daffy I tear up a little, you can see the weight of resignation and tiered in him when they talk and even bugs; who's been trying the whole time to get him back on the show and miss him, doesn't contradicts him or even spoke about it and just fade like that.

I know the ending is supposed to be a meta ending (a movie inside a movie) but there's something raw and tender about this part that doesn't fit 100 in it but at the same it does

I believe this scenario wasn't really scripted (in the movie universe) that way that it's not supposed to be taken seriously or being deep but it did and it was, that something real happened and they let it on to us see a fraction about it.

I could ramble on and on about this and analyze the whole movie but Im sorry for the full on paragraphs and Im not sure it it was ok to message so Im dumping all of this in here

I love coming back to read this cause AGH I LOVE IT- IT'S SO TRUE! Like I felt that if you shifted your perspective before watching ltbia you could see all the baffy crumbs like all the tension and the date and the looks and ALL AJAGSJF BUT HONESTLY IT IS AN SCENE THAT FEELS OFF. LIKE- why is it there? what does it bring? What does it imply? the way Bugs didn't even reply? He didn't joke about it or attemped to comfort him as if to teach kids how to be a good friend (like with the excuse to teach something) And at the end, even though Daffy saved Bugs it's not like he got recognized by the rest of the characters and barely by Bugs cause he didn't get what he wanted which was to be called a Hero by him??? LIKE THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT? IT'S AGH IT FEELS LIKE THERE'S MORE TO THAT SCENE!!!!

Well like almost any LT fan, I remember growing up with looney tunes. I can't quite pin what specifically introduced me to LT. maybe seeing them on boomerang, maybe my parents renting back in action for me, either or, I don't remember. I do remember seeing space jam a lot later though.

I enjoy learning abt the characterizations too!! TLTS got too much hate for being different imo. I'm glad ppl are coming around to it now but I feel a tad smidge bitter for the internet reaction when it came out. Baby me felt alone bein a closeted tlts/ baffy fan LMAO

Alright. Let's do Bugs x Daffy.

1. Who makes the first move and how?

Bugs technically has been for the longest time by flirting with and teasing the duck. It doesn't seem like Daffy is catching on to this behavior at first or returns the feelings until the last answer below happens.

3. Who is the most romantic?

Bugs of course. He is the flirty type and has canonically been the one to have a better grasp on romantic affection/show romantic advances towards others.

5. Who says ‘I love you’ first?

Believe it or not Daffy does. Thinking back to the campfire scene in Back In Action where he says 'all you have to do is munch on a carrot and people love you' sadly a part of me thinks he is also speaking in denial of his own feelings for Bugs. I'd like to think he would accidentally blurt out to the rabbit about how much he truly does love him during a vent/rant in frustration or defeatedness before realizing immediately that he let the truth out of his mouth without meaning to.

Present day thoughts:

See, I like that they can have these moments where they just banter. It adds some background on what they get up to beyond their competitive rivalry/antagonism in their classic shorts.

Also Bugs can actually be quite open about casual things when conversing with Daffy. "How would you liked to be remembered?" and he gives a genuine response. He's willing to be sincere with Daffy, and this is a consistent aspect to his character whether or not it's Daffy. He's sometimes very blunt and childishly naive, other times he's deceptive and feigning innocence.

Even though in some portrayals he can be deliberately obtuse that it feels like he has some vendetta against Daffy, this other casually open and frank side of him is not gatekept from Daffy. So you can see why Daffy sometimes lets himself be vulnerable around Bugs. Sometimes Bugs can be a simple sweetheart, which makes it all the more devious when he uses that disposition while tricking his adversaries.
