PAUL GEORGE INSPIRED SCORING WORKOUT FOR GUARDS & WINGS | MIDRANGE, FINISHING MASTERY
Scoring today isn’t just about shooting from deep. It’s about a balanced skill set: the ability to attack the basket, hit midrange shots, and read defenders in real-time. Guards and wings especially need a well-rounded arsenal to stay unpredictable and efficient. Key elements include:
Footwork: Proper foot placement creates separation and balance.
Shot Creation: Using dribble moves, shot fakes, and body control.
Finishing Variety: Layups, floaters, euro steps, and float dribbles.
Mental Toughness: Confidence and decision-making under pressure.
Paul George’s style embodies all these elements — that’s why his scoring workout emphasizes developing each skill with intention.
Training like Paul George means focusing not just on raw shooting but also mastering footwork, ball handling, and finishing moves that help you create space and beat defenders at all levels. Whether you’re trying to improve your midrange pull-ups, perfect that fadeaway, or finish strong at the rim, this workout blueprint will give you the foundation to score like a pro.

liberty’s defense on her was basically forcing her to go right and she bricked all those shots. atlanta did the same, liberty was just better at it. might be in a slump but she hasn’t improved that about her since college. no handles. no bag. foul baits, sinful hoops. defense isn’t pretty. gets frustrated too easily. its all mental with her. her team needs her to be good off ball. fever team don’t look like *her* team at all. on ball, a turnover machine. stop screaming at the refs and maybe they’ll give her a whistle. got locked up by tash, allisha, rhyne, etc. good luck tho, maybe that chip and mvp will come some day. tell me i am wrong
liberty’s defense was on her forcing her to go right - yep defense dictated which side of the court caitlin should be on and they just bent over and let themselves get fucked. but don’t get it twisted idk where this myth came from that she can’t hit shots going right, she can do that just fine 😭 it’s her left hand layup bag that’s nonexistent
no handles, no bag - now this just isn’t true... like at all. there are no kyrie-level aesthetically pretty ballhandlers in the league rn but caitlin’s handles are tight. literally one of the best and honestly it’s more of an indictment towards the league rather than caitlin. give me 5 players who have better handles than caitlin rn. having no bag is also a crazy accusation anon i’d clip up everything from her 2025 games if i had the time you gotta be shitting me ngl
foul baits - my brother or sister in christ caitlin can’t foul bait to save her life. SHE GETS NO CALLS. and she can’t bait fouls she looks ridiculous doing it 😭 which player are you watching that’s not 22 in indiana 😭
look at the drives per game in this chart 😭 sykes gets 13 free throws a game and averages 1 more drive per game than caitlin. and she goes to the line SEVEN TIMES more than caitlin 😭 the fever are top 2 in pace and washington is dead last and you’re telling me this is normal? 😭😭

defense isn’t pretty - ong show me someone stuck with her in an island and cooked her. show me right now
turnover machine - funny you say that. i have a video on that coming up. have you seen her slice up ny’s defense? 6 assists in one quarter bro gtfo my face 😭 caitlin’s TO rate is high but as a result the entire team’s TO rate decreases. she absorbs all that bc she makes all the decisions and she makes damn good ones. it’s not like her TOs are her being pickpocketed regularly by the defense
“locked up by rhyne, tash, allisha” mind you caitlin scored 27 on gray so now what 😭 brah “good luck tho” this fake ass objective gimmick 😭 if getting constantly held and handchecked is locking up then ok have fun watching prison ball hoops 😭
tell me i am wrong - nah you got it 😭👌
also the bit abt this not being “her team”. in the 37:52 minutes that Caitlin played, the fever were a +6 with a +6.2 NETRTG. in the 2:08 were she sat the Fever were a -8 with a -125.0 NETRTG. you telling me this aint her team when they die without her gtfo my face fr 😭😭😭😭
her team needs her to be good offball - her team needs to learn how to swing the rock dawg 😭
youre just repeating thinkpieces u hear from wnba twitter and tiktok 😭😭😭😭

cannot stop thinking about the trae to the timberwolves pitch, its so deranged
My ideal trae destination is somewhere he could have a slightly lower usage rate (and ideally great defenders around him but lets ignore that for now) and my ideal ant additional piece is someone who lets him have a bit less ballhandling/playmaking responsibility. What if we took both of those ideas to the most extreme version of themselves.
It doesn't make any sense from a fit perspective, it feels like it would backfire immediately, i'm obsessed with it
#excess nba rambles#trade speculation#this is a car crash in my brain that i cant look away from#like if the piece you start with is “getting a better second guard for ant”#then you go through the list of guards who could be on the move#those two statements are both technically true about trae#(probably a better guard than conley + could be on the move)#but it truly makes no sense otherwise#i need alternate reality vision so I can see what the consequences of this would be

I went and kind of skimmed it or whatever and I don’t know because he he said that when they get into these higher rated games that Paige has to be better with her off ball movement, but I just feel like we’ve seen in these high rated games where her playing off ball is not the formula to success and that she needs to be on the ball making the decisions
because I’m sorry, poor kaitlyn I just think that some of these games are too bright for her especially when she’s the main ballhandler her decision-making is kind of questionable at times and KK is a one speed show and she still very inexperienced so her decision-making also is not there
Because like yes KK had some of the ball handling responsibilities last year, but Nika was their primary point guard so it’s like she’s still very inexperienced when it comes to being a ball handler on the collegiate level
