The thing about tumblr's death knells is... it's news, but it's also not. We've been watching company after company try to make tumblr profitable and fail for like a decade now. We've had sign after sign that this site isn't sustainable. We had the NSFW ban. We've had any number of changes hostile to the userbase in the name of making tumblr more like this or that platform and trying and failing to appeal to new users. That tumblr's staff is being reduced to a skeleton crew is unfortunate but it's in no way surprising. Automattic was never going to make tumblr profitable in the way that a company wants a platform to be profitable and frankly, I'm surprised it took them this long to realize that. Because, and this is also a discussion that has been going on for years, fandom is not profitable.
I left here and came back once already, so my personal response to all of this is a big shrug. It's a bummer, but we don't have a lot of places to go. I like dreamwidth but it's not a viable tumblr replacement and without major changes it's never going to be, though I do encourage people who are interested in a mainly text-based platform and don't mind an LJ-style interface to give it a shot. Back up your stuff, get in the habit of crossposting, and make arrangements so that you can keep in touch with friends across multiple platforms. And at the end of the day, recognize that any corporate-owned social media platform will ultimately be hostile to fandom, and approach them accordingly.

a few thoughts about the us tiktok and the rednote thing
and a link to an article from npr detailing it
bytedance's first app was a comedy meme platform that was forced to shut down by the chinese government. bytedance is not some arm of the chinese government that's happily giving away foreign data. they're a company whose first attempt at a social media platform was banned in their home country for being subversive. they are not purposefully giving away foreign data.
on top of that evidence, the company has tons of foreign investors and the interfaces for tiktok and its chinese counterpart are both housed in their respective companies, making it much harder for them to even procure the data if the chinese government somehow tried to force them to give it up.
the chinese internet IS highly censored and the government IS authoritarian. however, the us government won't give any information about why they think this is happening, why it would be dangerous, or what else they would DO about it, which leads most of us to believe that it's a red-scare propaganda attempt as well as an act of corporate greed. if the company sells an american company then one of OUR oligarchs gets to take hold of a great interface, steal the interface for their own financial gain, and make changes that make it harder to be "unamerican" on the platform.
us tiktok users are understandably upset about this. as a matter of spite, lots of them are moving to a different chinese social media app: rednote.
rednote
i made an account there and have been having fun with it. i don't plan on making it like, my main social media presence, but i LOVE exploring. i'm gonna hang out for some memes, cat pics, work on my mandarin and help some nice people with their english homework.
before i get too starry eyed about it... the people ARE very nice. it IS cool to get to talk to people that live somewhere else and this CAN facilitate that. there are definitely some real conversations happening here and it's letting people make good, difficult connections. however... rednote is the Squeaky Clean Perfect Version of the people on it. they have to do their best salesperson for china act to maintain access to this platform.
any legitimate complaints that they would like to make about their OWN government CAN'T be made in a forum like this because of the censorship from the chinese government. OVERT censorship vs the more covert version americans are used to. https://chinadigitaltimes.net/2022/07/how-xiaohongshu-censors-sudden-incidents/
i one hundred percent understand the urge to "enemy of my enemy is my friend" something, but... more than one government is capable of Doing Propaganda at the same time. if you go on rednote and go "everything is actually so nice and wonderful and perfect in china all the time!!!! they have everything right!!!" then... you probably shouldn't be on rednote. or have a chat with the nice mormon missionaries that rang your doorbell.
a quick reminder about the treatment of uyghur muslims under the chinese government
okay now i'm done

Do you think with twitter going down the drain you might make a bsky account? I know it's probably tiring for artists to get asked that all the time but Im going around trying to figure out who I can follow now that I'm migrating too ^^''
I don’t mind the inquiry!! I do have a bluesky already under the same URL, but for now, I don’t plan to use it actively, for a few reasons:
The accounts you block are publicly accessible
You can’t make private lists to organise people you follow or want to keep up with
The community guidelines explicitly ban much of the content I draw/write, such as gore and sexual violence
The community guidelines also equate art/writing depicting underage characters to the proliferation of real life CSEM, which doesn’t sit well with me as a CSA survivor TT Further, I’ve seen people get banned for simply drawing youthful characters in completely SFW situations, or VTubers having SFW loli/shota-esque designs
AI scraping, bots, and harassment are still issues on bluesky; I’m particularly wary of the anti-ship, pro-censorship presence on the site, since I enjoy and create landmine/dead dove content
Aside from that, I have nitpicks about the UI and its lack of function compared to twitter, but I’ve been keeping an eye on bluesky’s interface updates so my tune might change down the line.
Unless twitter bans private accounts (my hard limit), I’ll stick with the site, since I’ve found a system that works for me regarding content curation :’) That said, tumblr will probably be where I’m most active henceforth.

Without making mods, but with adhd, I find myself in a fascinating space of seeking mods that provide an improved or at worst neutral experience, and my opinions about the game and its strengths and flaws consciously or subconsciously guide me as I try to make an 'optimal' experience. Let's talk about R.E.P.O.
Since about 5 pm yesterday, I started looking into modding the game since the developer had mentioned how strong the modding scene was in a recent Q&A.
Step 1 is finding the mod community, which I found while looking up a picture of a vase from the game to make a joke for my other players since we had a lot of accidents trying to move them. The wiki (one of like 5 wikis for the game) was the only one that had a photo of the vase, so I used that as a leap of faith to go to the mod website. I was a bit wary since searching 'repo mods' gave me the usual big mod sites (nexus mods, game banana), but on clicking through I was greeted by mods separated by category.
I was most interested in custom maps, but in my experience, the state of cosmetic mods is usually a good canary in the coal mine to know how far along the mod community is. Custom textures is usually a given, custom models are the next step up, then animations and effects usually come when things are cracked wide open.
Despite the game only being out for a few months, we are already at that final point. Not only are we there, we have an interface to customize your character's head, neck, torso, back, pants, shoes, and world items in game. I do think it could use more UI work, but it's still easily the best visual mod interface for cosmetics I've ever seen.
HOWEVER.
As the mods are unfiltered and regulated (which is a good thing!), there is little in the way of quality control. So my goal of vaguely generally making the game better is forced to solidify into rules for cosmetics. I first downloaded the thousands of cosmetics available and loaded them up to see them. After a few tests, they started functioning, and I decided to start with looking at just the head parts. Even this was hundreds of parts, with many duplicates, and I knew I would need to narrow down the selection significantly. So, my vague rules had to become actual rules.
They are currently:
1: cosmetics must not fundamentally change the overall silhouette of the Semibots (unless it's funny)
1a: cosmetics should be small enough to prevent excessive clipping through environments (including super tall stuff that clips through tables and beds you hide under and obstruct the views of other players)
2: cosmetics should not hide or obstruct the eyes since so much of the personality of the semibots shines through them
2a: glasses or goggles with transparency are allowed
3: hair and wigs are banned
3a: ponytails are other standalone parts of hair are allowed, so long as it looks like someone glued it on the semibots' bald head
And so, I started sifting through. As of today, I'm almost done listing the head parts I want to remove. I assume head is the most used part, and once I'm done with listing all the parts to remove, I have to manually go through each mod folder and delete the ones I listed previously. Luckily, the in game ui tells you which mod the cosmetics are from. This doesn't help with finding out the origins of the duplicates, but I'm hoping that the mod files will show when they were made so I can properly credit the original creator.
I'll also work to rename files, and if possible make subcategories for specific parts (horns, eyebrows, hats, teeth, noses, etc) to make it simpler to find all pieces in a category.
It's a bit of a thankless job doing all of this work for the sake of sending it to people who will never understand the effort it takes to curate an experience like this, but it is worth it for the headaches everyone avoids because the broken options are unavailable. It's invisible work, but it makes me happy (:
Once I'm done with cosmetics, I'll be looking at gameplay changes as I continue on my adventure to make an optimal molded R.E.P.O.

I like the blogging site Pillowfort. It has a kind of interesting interface that is similar to tumblr but fixes some problems. The TOS has very good rules against harassment and stalking. NSFW content is allowed and has a simple toggle switch for whether or not you want to see it. User bio and page are nicely customizable. And there are communities for shared interests.
Unfortunately
They really betrayed the trust when they suddenly and retroactively ruled there could be no mature art of minors. And that's a fine boundary to set. However, everyone's problem is they didn't say it from the start. Users assumed it was okay to upload. But the site randomly banned them and THEN changed the content TOS to say no explicit minor art. How can anyone ever feel confident on the platform again? Users can be completely rule-abiding and get banned without warning for an arbitrary change. Exhausting.
Ugh yeah that’s shitty

What Are Some of the Major Challenges That Uber Faces Today?
Tumblr media
There are many challenges facing Uber today, some ranging from safety to legal problems. Now, let's see some of the major challenges in the path ahead of Uber.
Safety Concerns for Riders and Drivers
Safety is a big concern. Both riders and drivers worry about getting safe. Cases of crimes in Uber cars have come. Drivers are attacked by passengers. Riders, on the other hand, are harassed. But Uber worked with these problems. They now have an emergency button inside the app. Drivers undergo safety training and background checks. However, accidents still happen. How to improve safety remains a challenge for Uber.
Legal and Regulatory Issues
They've fought legal battles throughout their entire time. Cities have attempted to regulate its business time and time again. Some have even banned Uber over safety concerns. Other cities believe that drivers should be classified as employees rather than contractors. This changes Uber's way of working and increases the cost. Also, legal problems have been held against Uber's reputation. Very recently, for example, it lost a court case over driver pay. These legal problems cost Uber both time and money.
Competition and Market Saturation
There is a lot of competition in the ride-sharing business. In fact, other companies, such as Lyft and smaller local startups, are currently rising to challenge Uber. Some come with more competitive perks than others; hence, many riders opt to use those services. Another obstacle is market saturation. In some markets, there are too many drivers and not enough rides, which means lower earnings for driver partners and makes differentiation harder for Uber. If Uber wants to stay ahead, it has to change the business of thinking. They are now entering new businesses: food delivery and self-driving cars. But competition will continue to keep them on their toes.
These challenges make Uber's future tough. There are big hurdles in safety, legal issues, and competition. How it addresses them will determine the future for Uber.

The argument that twitch vs kick Both are bad wha wha okay… so he went from one arguably shifty company that’s a subsidiary of a big company that’s pretty bad to a company that’s REMIND YOU still PAYING to use twitches servers to stream and comes with its own group of LITERAL NAZIS so… he’s left twitch oh wait nvm he didn’t leave twitch he’s still on what people are calling morally corrupt site #1 while also being on horrendous cesspool site #2 so like even in the they are both bad lesser of two evils HE STILL PICKED BOTH EVILS 😭😭 like cmon!!!! Twitch sucks and used to be way worse there were awful people on there still are but there is still a line there are still TOS there is still only so far someone can go. Kick will always be infinitely worse in a general user sense I mean 1) it’s got the same shitty interface as twitch that doesn’t work half the time so no improvement there 2) less or little to no TOS so now improvement there 3) you’re giving attention and validation to a site that allows nazis on it that ENCOURAGES nazis some that are known by name to the wider internet bc they are banned from every site imaginable. Like guys we all love Sapnap but let’s stop being stupid and you all know it’s dumb bc at the end of every little think piece is “but I’m not downloading that app so idk” so like you don’t even believe it
you hit the nail right on the head people who stream on kick are still giving twitch money because kick pays to use their servers Amazon is still benefiting but on top of that sapnap will still be on twitch.
it’s so so so clear that every creator who goes to kick does it for the bag or to avoid censorship.
if they wanted a competitor so bad go to fucking YouTube but no because the 70% cut just isn’t enough for them
Also every person who is saying they think sapnap actually wants to make a change is lying to themselves

I made a video on how to fix TF2's current issue with bots running around and disrupting the game on official Valve servers. In summary we know that valve won't keep VAC up to date, as they don't like treadmill work, so anyone using botting programs won't actually get banned by it. We also know that valve doesn't want to port over the work they did on CS:GO and now on CS2, if it was an easy task they would've done so already. Also it wouldn't work, since it could likely be abused and it won't do anything about idle bots, since it's only designed to catch aimbots.
The solution is to leave it to the community. The reason being that community servers actually have the ability to be moderated.
You can actually have a server administrator that can ban known bot accounts, the servers can also have vote ban enabled making it quick and easy to ban new bots and cheaters.
The easiest way to implement that would be to make matchmaking function like the old quickplay system. What this does is that it directs players to any public server that fulfill the requirements of what could be considered a "vanilla" TF2 experience.
Alongside this change Valve just needs to contact big server hosters such as skial, Uncle Dane etc. to coordinate with them so they can set up servers that meet these requirements.
There are also other benefits of returning to the quickplay system such as:
Being able to vote for any map in the map rotation rather than just the same map or two randomly choices from the map rotation.
Being able to switch teams whenever there's an open slot
Being able to join servers ad-hoc from the server browser or your friends in the steam interface if they re enable that
Being able to spectate other players
Joining a friend's servers through the party feature could also be made a lot smoother by just letting you join as soon as slot is open.
All in all it's not that much work on Valve's part and would make the game perfectly playable and also better than it is today.

99 Cent Sale
You all have been so gracious, kind, and supportive with the GoFundMe, and I am grateful to all of you. So, I’ve put all twenty of my books published via Manhattan On Mars on sale for 99 cents on Kindle, Nook, and Kobo. (The only place they’re not on sale for this price is iBooks, because Apple’s interface was designed by a pack of howler monkeys on Xanax and it is an exercise in frustration and futility to change the prices via their system). I wish I could do this with the rest of my books, as well, but these are the only ones I control the price to at the moment. Regardless, i’m sure there’s some stuff here you haven’t yet read..
The sale will last a full month — November 26th to December 26th. (Please let me know if you see one that is not 99 cents).
Here is a complete list with direct links:
FICTION
The Seven: The Labyrinth, Book 1: Kindle - Nook - Kobo

Maybe if kpop tumblr wasn't so bent on to shit on everything that is related to bts..there be more bts posts? Idk 😭👍
TBH i dont rly think so bcs ppl who dont like bts are easier to block and avoid on here than on twt (a platform that encourages pointless outrage and provokation). i think it likely has more to do with the slow decline of active tumblr users esp post-porn ban + the more incentive for engagement on twt + the deterioration of tumblr as a platform specifically of their interface changes' impact on creators + ppl acting like theyre allergic to the reblog button. also its probably a good thing that you can be more exposed to ppl who don't agree with you/have different tastes than you in a non-aggressive/joking environment on tumblr vs the foam-mouthed angry echochamber that is kpop twt. but idk thats just me.

How to archive a Discord channel
I'm going to say this way ahead of time: this is going to be waaaaaaay more of an annoying process than it should be. Discord should allow exporting the channel history to server owners, without the need of doing all this. I won't blame you if you give up.
Get the DiscordChatExporter application to download the chat history
This program has two versions
one that has a graphical interface, but works on Windows only
one that has a command line interface, but works on Windows, Linux and macOS
This guide covers the first. The second one maybe next time, in another post. The second version also makes it easier to download every channel on the server.
Step 1: Go to here, and download the latest version in the zip file named DiscordChatExporter.zip
Tumblr media
Step 2: Unpack the zip file
Tumblr media
Step 3: Run DiscordChatExporter.exe
Tumblr media
Step 4: Dismiss the scary looking warning as this will show up for any program that which developer can't afford paying $629 a year.
Tumblr media
Step 5: Close the welcoming message and you'll see the application interface:
Tumblr media
Prepare an access token. Do not share it to anyone else - treat it the same way as you treat your password.
There are two ways to do it:
Approach 1: use your own access token, will work with any channel you're able to access, including Direct Messages, but it is a violation of Discord Terms of Service, and therefore your Discord account could get banned for it. Use at your own risk.
Follow the instructions here, which are fairly detailed step-by-step instructions for Chrome, Firefox, and also the desktop app. I'm gonna expand more on approach 2 as I had to figure it out myself, and the current instructions for approach 2 are not really adequate enough. If you go with approach 1, skip down the entire section below, until the "Paste the token in the Token textbox and click the arrow button" section.
Approach 2: create a bot account, invite it to your server, and use its access token. This process assumes you have enough privileges to invite bots to the server ("Manage Server" permission), and therefore, but is also 100% okay as far as Discord's Terms of Service are concerned. It is also generally safer, as accidental leaking of the token will not risk you losing your user account.
Step 1: Go to the Discord developer portal.
Step 2: Create a new application by clicking the "New Application" button
Tumblr media
Step 3: Name it however you want, I personally named it "mlemgrab". Agree to the scary sounding long ass terms of service.
Tumblr media
Step 4: Go to the Bot section, scroll down to the "Privileged Gateway Intents"
Tumblr media
Step 5: Enable the "Message Content Intent". We don't have to worry about the "if your bot is in more than 100 servers" part because our bot will never be in this many servers.
Step 6: Save changes by pressing the green button "Save Changes"
Tumblr media
Step 7: Go to "OAuth2" followed by "URL Generator"
Tumblr media
Step 8: Select the "bot" scope and then "Read Messages/View Channels" and "Read Message History" permissions
Tumblr media
Step 9: Copy the link at the bottom and visit it:
Tumblr media
Step 10: Press "Continue", and approve the required permissions by clicking Authorize. Once you do it, the bot account is on the server.
Tumblr media
Step 11: Go to "Bot" and click the "Reset Token" button to get the token that will allow you to act (in our case, getting all the messages) using the bot user. If you lose that token, you can click reset again to get a new one.
Tumblr media
Paste the token in the Token textbox and click the arrow button
Tumblr media
Select the server, and then the channel you want to archive
Tumblr media
Click the download button on the bottom right
Tumblr media
Select where you want to save it, and the format. HTML is good for easy browsing and preview in a web browser, JSON is good for further processing (let's say someone else later writes a program for importing the conversation elsewhere).
For archivization purposes I recommend saving in both HTML and JSON.
Click "More" for more options.
Tumblr media
By default the program will not download any message attachments nor avatars or emotes. If you want that, select "Download assets" option. Preferably while also selecting the "Reuse assets" option and selecting a single directory for assets if you want to archive multiple channels.
You can also select the specific time range and using the partition limit - split the archive into several files each containing N messages.
Press Export. Wait. The progress bar will move very slowly.
Tumblr media
Once it is done, you should be able to open the HTML file with your web browser.
Treat anything on Discord as media that will be lost
Do not use Discord to host your files. Do not rely on Discord to preserve your text. DO NOT RELY ON DISCORD FOR ANY KIND OF PRESERVATION OR HOSTING!!
It CAN be lost, it WILL be lost! You must consider Discord as a part of the Core Internet, controlled by one company that hosts the servers.
I thought it was impressive at first that it replaced IRC, but now I am horrified. If the company behind Discord went under today, how many friends would you lose?
How many relationships? How much writing?
You may think this won't happen, but I remember when AIM went down and along with it, entire novels worth of interaction with my oldest friend.
IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. NO COMPANY IS INFALLIBLE.
Back up your files! Download anything you've saved to Discord NOW, before the API changes go into effect! And DO NOT RELY ON THEM FOR HOLDING IMPORTANT FILES!

Precision and Productivity: A Deep Dive into Bag Making Machines
Bag making machines play a pivotal role in the global packaging industry, transforming flat materials into functional containers used in countless sectors—from retail and food services to industrial shipping. As consumer demand for convenience and sustainability grows, the bag making machine industry has responded with more versatile, efficient, and environmentally friendly technologies.Get more news about paper bag making machine, you can vist our website!
What is a Bag Making Machine? A bag making machine is a highly specialized piece of equipment that automates the production of various types of bags, including plastic bags, paper bags, woven sacks, and biodegradable alternatives. These machines typically handle processes such as feeding raw material, folding, sealing, cutting, and sometimes even printing or punching. The automation not only accelerates production but also ensures consistency and precision, which is crucial in large-scale manufacturing.
Types and Applications There are numerous types of bag making machines, each suited for a specific application:
Plastic Bag Making Machines: These can produce T-shirt bags, garbage bags, zip-lock bags, and more. Some machines are engineered to handle biodegradable plastics in response to environmental regulations.
Paper Bag Making Machines: As many companies shift toward paper to reduce plastic waste, these machines are gaining popularity in retail and food packaging.
Non-woven Bag Making Machines: Ideal for reusable shopping bags, these have seen a surge in demand due to bans on single-use plastics in many regions.
Each category has subtypes equipped with options for side sealing, bottom sealing, or center sealing, depending on the design and purpose of the bag.
Key Features Driving Innovation Modern bag making machines are equipped with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), touch screen interfaces, and servo motors for greater accuracy and user-friendly operation. Some high-end models come with online printing and lamination systems, integrating multiple processes into a single production line. Energy efficiency and material flexibility are also top priorities in today's designs, enabling manufacturers to work with different substrates like PE, PP, kraft paper, and recycled materials.
Sustainability and Market Trends One of the most significant developments in the bag making machine industry is the pivot toward eco-friendly materials and processes. Governments across the globe are regulating plastic usage, which has led to a sharp increase in demand for machines that handle recyclable or compostable materials. As a result, manufacturers are redesigning equipment to accommodate thinner films and recyclable blends without compromising on strength or seal quality.
China, India, and Southeast Asia remain key manufacturing hubs due to lower labor costs and expanding domestic demand. However, Western markets are increasingly investing in automation to reduce dependency on imports and meet stricter environmental standards.
Conclusion Bag making machines may not often be in the spotlight, but they are indispensable in our everyday lives. From the paper sack at the bakery to the heavy-duty bags used in construction, these machines quietly power the global flow of goods. As technology advances and sustainability becomes non-negotiable, bag making machines will continue to evolve—offering smarter, cleaner, and more efficient solutions to meet the demands of a changing world.

the people who run this site don’t give a fuck anymore. This is all part of their sick twitter obsession. A change might be coming so drastic that it will force it’s current userbase to twitterize and for the twitter twats to take over our site. Tumblr is deader then dead. They killed it when they fucked up and didn’t do their jobs in 2019. And what got them in trouble in the first place still exists in the dark corners of this site. Without a real or good solution, they punished our dumb-ass back then by banning porn and nudity in all aspects forced behind a flawed, wack-ass rookie filter which destroyed posts that were fine and pissed enough bloggers off to leave. Blogs who didn’t play along to their new game were deleted or hid from the public view by being labeled ‘explicit’. Which is about the dumbest thing in the world. They can still post and reblog what goes against their community guidelines but they can do so hidden. Huh? It’s just that they can’t have a site or be found. Yeah, that makes a looooooooooooot of sense. Which today those blogs still exist. Even tho those blogs are not ‘explicit’. Even tho they never were and never will be. Punished for all eternity is tumblr hell. Way to go, tumblr for fucking it up again. And destroying the integrity of this site. First the yahoo bullshit with ads. Then you changed the goddamn beloved blue colour to this putrid navy blue. Then the fucking nudity ban. Now the fucking twitter interface. You fucking assholes. God damn inept fucking nerds. If I had a life I would up and leave this bullshit. Fuck you. Further proof of elon musk fucking up the world world with his bullshit. Fuck X too, you tesla creating bastard.
tumblr staff adjusting a dial to fine-tune exactly how much they're imitating twitter while occasionally looking back at their userbase for approval except the userbase is just booing the entire time "we hate twitter" "why do you even have that dial"

How EV Technology Is Reshaping the Auto Industry
Introduction
Tumblr media
The Big Picture: More Than Just Batteries
Tumblr media
When people think EVs, they often zero in on the batteries, and sure, the lithium-ion packs under the floor are a big part of the story. But the real transformation is much broader. EV technology is pushing automakers to rethink the entire car, from chassis engineering to user experience. Traditional combustion engines shaped cars for over a century. Now, freed from those constraints, designers are experimenting with flat floors, roomier cabins, and even yoke-style steering wheels.
Think about it: no bulky engine up front, no transmission tunnel running down the middle. That’s why EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 or the Tesla Model Y feel so spacious inside, even though they don’t look massive from the outside. It’s design freedom we’ve never had before. (Source)
Software Is the New Horsepower
Tumblr media
If you haven’t noticed, cars are becoming more like smartphones on wheels — and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Over-the-air (OTA) updates mean your car can now evolve over time. Features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, or even better battery performance can be downloaded overnight.
This shift toward software-defined vehicles changes everything. Automakers no longer stop innovating once the car leaves the lot. It’s like buying a car that keeps getting smarter, month after month. Tesla pioneered it, sure — but now Ford, BMW, and even Kia are catching up.
It also means the real competition isn’t just about torque or range anymore. It’s about UX design, interface responsiveness, app integration, and cloud connectivity. Suddenly, your next car-buying decision might hinge on how intuitive the touchscreen is or whether your Spotify playlists sync seamlessly.
Sustainability Is Driving Demand (and Innovation)
Tumblr media
We can’t talk about EVs reshaping the industry without touching on climate. Environmental regulations are tighter than ever, and cities across the globe are planning bans on internal combustion engine vehicles. Automakers don’t have a choice — they either adapt or get left behind.
But the cool thing is, this pressure has bred innovation. Solid-state batteries, regenerative braking that adds real mileage, materials made from recycled plastics, vegan leather — it’s all part of a growing trend that merges sustainability with style and performance.
And let’s not forget the growing EV infrastructure. Charging networks are expanding fast, especially in North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. What used to be “range anxiety” is quickly becoming “where should I stop for a coffee while my car tops up?”
What This Means for You and Me
For car lovers like us, this era is wild. I used to scoff at the idea of electric cars — no engine roar, no manual gearbox, where’s the fun in that? But now? I’m having more fun than ever. Instant torque, lower running costs, and the quiet satisfaction of gliding past a fuel station? That’s a win in my book.
Sure, the industry’s not perfect. EVs are still pricey, and there’s a long way to go in terms of battery recycling and raw material sourcing. But even with all that, the momentum is undeniable.
EV technology isn’t just tweaking the edges — it’s redefining the game. Whether you’re a diehard petrolhead or just want something efficient for the daily grind, this shift is something you can’t ignore. And honestly? I’m here for it.
