দুইজন মানুষ, সম্পূর্ণ চুপ, হয়ত এক রাশ অভিমান, হয়ত চাপা কষ্ট। কিন্তু দিন শেষে ওই একই শব্দে মিলিত হয় ভালোবাসা।

আমরা অভিমান শুধু ভালোবাসার মানুষের সাথেই করি। আর চাপা কষ্ট গুলো ও তাদের জন্যই।

আমাদের জীবনে কখনো কখনো এমন জোড়ে আপন করে নেওয়ার মত, সব দুঃখ কষ্ট দূর করে ফেলার মতো কারোর hug এর প্রয়োজন। আর ভালোবাসার মানুষটার ওই hug টাই যেনো আমরা প্রতিনিয়ত খুঁজে বেড়াই।

ভালোবাসার মানুষটার ওই চাহনি যেটা দিয়ে মনের সব দুঃখের কথা বলতে পারবো, বলার সাহস পাবো। যেই কথা গুলো অন্য কাওকে বলতে আমাদের অসুবিধা হয় সবকিছু। সবকিছুই তো ওই ভালোবাসার মানুষটাকে ঘিরেই হয়।

প্রায় চার ঘন্টার ছবিতে কিনবদন্তি সত্যজিৎ রায় এর চারটি লেখার ওপর ভিত্তি করে গড়ে ওঠা চারটি গল্প রয়েছে। চারটি গল্পই অসাধারণ কিন্তু যারা আসল গল্প গুলো পড়বার পর সিনেমাটি দেখবেন তারা, সম্ভবতঃ মূল গল্পের সঙ্গে সিনেমার গল্পের তুলনা করা থেকে নিজেদের আটকাতে পারবেন না, আর সেই তুলনায় ফল অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই হতাশাপ্রদও হতে পারে। কিন্তু যারা সত্যজিৎ রায় এর মূল গল্প গুলো পড়েননি তাদের মন্তব্য এই ছবির সম্পর্কে একদমই অন্যরকম (সম্ভবতঃপজিটিভ) হবে তাতে প্রায় কোনো সন্দেহ নেই।

গল্প ১: সাফল্যের চূড়ায় পৌঁছেও কিভাবে চরম আত্মবিশ্বাসী ঈপ্সিত (আলী ফজল) এর জীবন তছনছ হয়ে যায় তারই আখ্যান প্রথম গল্প।

গল্প ২: মেক আপ আর্টিস্ট ইন্দ্রাশীষ (কে. কে . মেনন) তার সারল্য ও সততা নিয়ে জীবনের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে সমাজের কাছে লাঞ্ছনা , অবজ্ঞার শিকার। হঠাৎ একদিন সে উত্তরাধিকার সূত্রে তার ঠাকুমার সম্পত্তির মালিক হয়ে বসে আর তার পরই ইন্দ্রাশীষ এর মনে জেগে ওঠে প্রতিশোধ স্পৃহা। কি হয় এর পরিণতি ?

গল্প ৩: ট্রেন সফরে দুই যাত্রী মুসাফির আলী ওরফে রাজু (মনোজ) এবং আসলাম বেগ ওরফে জেঙ্গা পহেলওয়ান একে অপরের মুখোমুখি হন। দুজনেরই পরস্পরকে খুব চেনা চেনা মনে হলেও কিভাবে তা তারা কিছুতেই মনে করতে পারেন না। স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই তাদের দুজনের আলাপ চারিতা শুরু হয় কিন্তু সময়ের সাথে সাথে ঘটনার এমন পরত খুলতে থাকে যে অবশেষে গল্প এক অবিশ্বাস্য কৌতুকপূর্ণ মোড়ে এসে থামে। পুরো সিনেমায়, সম্ভত এটি ই সবচেয়ে ভিন্নধর্মি ও কৌতুকময় সাসপেন্স !

গল্প ৪: ফিল্মস্টার ভিক এর ডিভাইন লুকে দুনিয়া পাগল। কিন্তু হঠাৎই ভিকের মনে হতে থাকে তার সেই দিব্যদৃষ্টি যেন সহসা আগত সাধিকা, 'দিদি' তার থেকে ছিনিয়ে নিয়েছে। দিদির আগমনের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সম্পূর্ণ স্পটলাইট তার ওপর থেকে সরে সোজা দিদির ওপর চলে যাওয়াটা সে কিছুতেই মেনে নিতে পারে না। কে এই দিদি ? সত্যিই কি ডিভাইন লুক বলে কিছু আছে যা ভিক এর কাছ থেকে স্নান্তরিত হয়ে দিদির কাছে চলে গেছে?

ওপরের সব উত্তর পাওয়া যাবে নেটফ্লিক্সের RAY তে। যদিও সিনেমা/সিরিজ টিতে কিছু কিছু চরিত্র, ঘটনা ও দৃশ্য কখনো কখনো যেন যোর করেই ঢুকিয়ে দেওয়া বলে মনে হয়েছে কিন্তু গল্পগুলোর বৈচিত্র্য এসব কিছুকে ছাপিয়ে যায়! সঙ্গে থেকে যায় এই প্রশ্ন যে আদৌ এর আরো একটা সিজন আসছে কি? যদি আসে তবে আগামী সিজন এর গল্পগুলো কতটা বিচিত্র হবে ? সে প্রশ্নের উত্তর এখনই পাওয়া না গেলেও এটুকু বলা যায় যে, আর যাই হোক ছবিতে নতুনত্বের স্বাদ অবশ্যই পাওয়া যাবে! তাই স্বাদ বদলের জন্য, দেখে নেওয়া যেতেই পারে "রে" !
