Something I read a bit ago on the Oitnb wiki page still bothers me and I wanted to get your take on it, since it appears you are go-to question gal, lol. Under Alex's info page in the s3 summary it states that "...Alex is no longer able to hurt Piper during sex, which makes Piper less interested in being intimate with her." I disagree with that as the reason why they start to drift away. No support for that idea, for one thing. Your take?

I agree with the Wiki statement BUT I had no clue re: s3 Piper’s behaviour until I read some excellent posts by a few fans here on tumblr, specifically:

To anyone who is still scratching their heads about s3 Piper, I cannot recommend those 3 posts highly enough--they offer excellent insight into her actions.

Ok, so to answer your specific ‘ask’ about the Vauseman hate-sex in s3, I’ll quote two bits from the last link above:"Alex stops wanting to hurt her but piper still desperately believes she deserves to be hurt."(@thefundamental) and "Piper’s fine with it up until that point. It feels good to have intimacy that hurts in a justified way. It feels deserved. But then when Alex really truly forgives her, just completely surrenders and offers Piper unconditional love and support, Piper doesn’t actually want it. It makes her feel worse because she doesn’t deserve it.“ (@baroquemirrors). The whole post is excellent and I’m glad I reblogged it because the original posts are gone :/

3 things you hope to see in the next season of oitnb? Or 3 predictions?

Oh dear… I’ve been trying to repress all my OITNB feels deep, deep down because I feel like the season premiere is still way too far from now, so I haven’t been able to properly manage my expectations just yet. I wanna be lowkey about everything too because I also want to minimize the possible disappointment (if any). I’m really looking forward to the storytelling they’re going to do, though. Like. How can they stretch 3 days worth of events??? throughout an entire season???? and make sure it stays interesting???

But yeah, to answer your question: (1) I’m really excited to see everyone’s character development in that short period of time, (2) I hope Piper and Alex both stay alive and stay faaaar away from trouble and further away from the possibility of an encounter with Stella Snow, the woman who knows nothing, because oh my god seriously no one wants to see her face again it’s a waste of screen time and like why is she still a thing, and (3) at the top of my head, Idk why but I just really want to see Lolly again.

When we get closer to the premiere, I /might/ breeze through S4 and come up with better answers to this question next time haha!

Bloom Town - n0t_my_name: (incompete) Wild West AU where Dani gets kidnapped. Extremely good world building with an undercurrent of mystery that has me totally hooked.

Little White Dove - UnintentionallySketchy: (incomplete) Hitman!Jamie and Dani on the run. So well written and the tension my god.

We Were Emergencies - meanstoflourish: (incomplete) High School AU where Jamie has a rough past and Dani is the ball of sunshine that refuses to give up on her. I’m not usually big into High School AU’s but this one absolutely has my heart.

(my love can be) the killing kind - novel_concept26: Hitman!jamie and bodyguard!dani on the opposite sides of a job. y’all know novel always writes some of the best and this is no exception.

you wouldn’t like me (if you met me) -  baroquemirrors: (incomplete) High School AU field hockey gays with a rivalry. Another High School AU that got me w a well written premise.
