I’m going to get on my soap box a minute. I’ve received a number of asks/requests that seem more like demands. No greeting, no cute little “hi I love your work” just “write this”.
Have to tell you, I don’t like it. I don’t appreciate it. I am not a machine, I am not just some computer program ready to churn out hours of entertainment for you at will.
There has long been this sense of complete lack of respect or appreciation for those that dedicate HOURS and DAYS to providing you with free entertainment. Writers, artists, gif makers, all take their personal time to create something. Often with very little true feedback. Or even a reblog.
If you cannot even try to observe the basic niceties of communication, why should I spend my time creating something you want? Granted, these aren’t hostile, but they are rude. Please have respect for creators and treat them as more than machines.
Any and all messages that are just basic demands for my time and energy will be deleted.
Hello there ! I love watching your videos & they always bring a smile to my face ! I moved to Tumblr for this quality content ! You are one of my favourite youtubers!
Here is my question for you :
Are there any Tumblr etiquettes? If so , then what are those ?

Hmm, not sure if there are many unspoken etiquette rules that are specific to Tumblr. :P I feel like general basic etiquette applies.
When you tag someone else's blog (@ blogname), you're basically calling for that person's attention, or publically putting a spotlight on them, so make sure you have a good reason for it. Maybe you're giving credit to an artist who inspired you, and you made fanart with their characters, or in their style, or maybe you collabed with them. That's cool. :)
What's less cool is tagging that blog and saying mean / rude things about them, lying about them and ruining their reputation, or directing others to go to that blog and send them hate. Whether or not you think the hate is deserved, you shouldn't spread it around like that. :(
there's been an influx of people messaging me recently, so here's another little reminder that i won't respond to messages. it's literally in my pinned post. basic rules of interacting with me. messages will be deleted. you might be blocked.
there is an askbox if you want to talk to me. you can use the anon feature if you don't want it publicly attached to you.
messages are open to mutuals and because i will be offering paid content/paid custom audios. but not right now. so don't bother otherwise, you're just wasting your time.
I've just seen someone reblogging the same post four times, likely as a sort of emphatic agreement to the point being made. I can imagine it strikes the OP as a form of emphasis through dissemination, but all this really does is clog up three screen lengths with the same reblog.
That isn't how you use Tumblr. It's just not polite towards other users. Your posts already have the screen real-estate they'd normally take - they seriously don't need more than this to gain traction. Let the community do its thing, trust me.
If you agree with anything I post, one Like and one Reblog is the absolute maximum you could give me, and the absolute maxium I'd expect.
Apparently much-needed reminder that reposting artists' art (by saving the images or screenshotting them and reuploading them yourself) on other platforms without the artists' expressed permission and without credit is theft and an insult to their passion and craft. You are profiting (in views, in attention, in feedback) from someone else's work and ideas, who do not get that feedback for sharing their creation.
If you are an art reposter, you are a thief and I have no respect for you.
skk started calling each other babygirl as a joke… turns out somewhere along the way it stopped being a joke and became an endearment that follows their insults
i am not interested in seeing your dick unsolicited. i am not interested in seeing your tits or your pussy unsolicited. i am not interested in seeing any part of you unsolicited. i am not interested in people sending me things i never asked for or negotiated.
if i am looking at someone, it is because i followed their blog with the express purpose of consenting to seeing what they post. i did not fucking consent to strangers sending me photos without me asking. i am tired of this.
I can't understand people who love this show or books but hate any of the "main characters" (mostly anyone from the shows main 4 characters, Louis, lestat, Armand and Daniel)
like yeah all of the have flaws, but they also have qualities for redemption
honestly I think watching the show or reading the books with that hatred for any of the characters or the ships must be miserable and sad
seeing the constant discourse (mainly on Twitter) of whose better or worse according to arguments without any kind of nuance make me mad
like why don't you focus on what you like instead of what you don't
I also hate the mischaracterization of some of the characters in this fandom, especially the one on complex characters like Armand or Lestat
And especially why do you talk shit about the actors who have done nothing but give their whole souls and energy to this project, who really don't deserve your negativity and hate
bsd fandom has always mischaracterised kunikida to hell and back but the fact that i am seeing SO MUCH hate for his character right after his 'death' is insane
