Headcanon dump:
I have new followers so I figured I'd do a headcanon dump. Just some random facts about Eddie as I write him.
He's gonna be a tattoo artist when he grows up. He loves to draw and doodle (especially in class) so it feels like a natural progression.
I also will write him a rockstar verse where Corroded Coffin makes it.
In some verses, upon request, he is a single dad. His daughter's name is Halen. Halen Munson. His reasoning? When someone talks about them it's "Eddie and Valen" and he finds that amusing.
He will get more tattoos. I love the idea of him having a spider web tattoo on his neck.
In the rockstar verse, he def has his peepe pierced. In other verses, we'll see.
He's straight. Mostly. I've always wanted to experiment writing him liking boys but it's never happened. He's apparently very straight. Or, we haven't come across the right muse/chemistry to make him sway.
He is super respectful of women and tries his very hardest to not be scary when approaching women. A bit of mommy issues here but not in a bad way. Sidenote: don't ever speak ill of his mama.
He has a thing for cheerleaders. He can't explain it and neither can I.
He is not a virgin. Eddie, the freak, has had a surprisingly amount of action. He's got the bad boy thing going for him. However, he is every girl's "dirty little secret" because who wants the world to know they fooled around with the freak from the trailer park? He respects it and isn't one to kiss and tell anyway.
Guitar is his instrument of choice but Eddie has an ear for music and can pick up an instrument very quickly. He thinks the drums are very fun.
Eddie sings! But he's shy about it. Metal is fine because there's a lot of shouting involved but when he plays the acoustic and sings he wants to die of embarrassment. He has a good voice though. He's just a dumbass.
He's not dumb. I don't want to diagnose him (and I don't think that was common in the 1980s) but he definitely has something. Eddie just can't focus on things that don't interest him. He can be very good as physics, for example, because velocity and speed and he can see it in his head but give him algebra or calculus and he is extra fucked. His favorite subject in school is History. It's storytelling and he's a fan. His favorite time periods are Medieval and Renaiassance and shit like that.
Eddie was the kind of kid growing up that loved dinosaurs. Makes sense because dragons are like a natural progresion.
He can cook. Not saying he's a chef by any means but he has a handful of recipes down to an art. He taught himself as a kid when he got tired of eating canned soup and box mac and cheese when Uncle Wayne was working. He can't bake for shit though (and he would love to learn to bake cinnamon rolls and special brownies).
He doesn't usually do hard drugs anymore. He has to be in a dark dark place to go down that road. He had bad experiences. He also won't sell hard drugs to someone that is inexperienced.
He started smokig cigarettes at a scarily young age. I'm thinking around 12 when he started to steal them from his uncle Wayne. He used to smoke whatever but now he prefers menthols.
He feeds the strays that stroll into the trailer park. Cats, dogs, but his favorites are the raccoons that basically live in the dumpster.
He doesn't have any pets. Not because he doesn't want one but because he's scared he won't be a good pet-dad.
Speaking of dads, he has daddy issues. Daddy trauma really. The idea of being a dad terrifies him because he's scared he will turn out like his.
Eddie doesn't usually start fights. He will stand up for people but he will never start shit with someone else. That said, you say anything about his uncle and you're getting punched - even if you're bigger than him, even if he's outnumbered. He might not be the best son/nephew but he worships that man and is so damn grateful for him. He won't stand for Uncle Wayne slander.
Given the way he looks and his interests you would think his type is a rocker chick or a goth girl. You're wrong. Eddie loves femine girls or casual girls. A girl in a dress or a girl in a messy bun and a big tshirt. That sorta thing.
Eddie has always loved to read, ever since he was a kid. Because of this he's full of useless information.
He loved cryptids. He doesn't fuck with fairies though - they scare him.
He has a stuffed dragon that's missing an eye and lives under his bed. He got it from his mom when he was little and he's kept it since. It lives under his bed because Eddie logic says it's dark like a cave. It's named Draco after the constellation because when Eddie was a baby and couldn't sleep his mom would take him outside and they'd stargaze. One of the few memories he has of his mom.
Eddie logic is something that will come in threads. It's the way Eddie thinks. His brain just doesn't process things like a normal person but it makes sense to him and it's the hill he'll die on.
He's not a sports guy. Not because it doesn't fit the persona but because he's always sucked at them. Uncle Wayne would try to play catch with him as a kid and he would either miss or duck. He can run though and he likes to pretend he knows parkour. Doofus.
His favorite color is gray. Eddie logic says black is too basic. Again, doofus.
He doesn't have a favorite food but he's a sucker for anything homecooked. Uncle Wayne worked a lot growing up so anything that feels homecooked feels special to him.
Big cuddler. If you sleep with him, and it's more than just sex, expect aftercare.
He's not opposed to doing "girly" things. If you're a girl and his friend, besties level, he will totally be down for sleepovers that include face masks and manicures and all that. No fragile masculinity here. Just don't tell anyone.
Should be obvious but he loves horror movies. He's not big on gore though. He'll watch them but he's more into spooky shit like monsters, ghosts, demon possession and stuff like that. He does enjoy Children of the Corn, he finds creepy children amusing and terrifying.
He can fix pretty much anything. Both his dad and Uncle Wayne are handy with tools and Eddie learned from watching. He fixes his own van and basically built it from the ground up.
That's all I got right now. Feel free to ask questions.

Bizarre V3 AU Explanations and More!
I wanted to explain a bit more about the ongoings of my Bizarre V3 AU a bit more and explain some behind-the-scenes stuff, so let's-a-go!
All of the main 16 characters have or will have superpowers! This was foreshadowed in Miu's, Maki's, Ryoma's, Kokichi's, Gonta's, Kirumi's, and Tenko's character descriptions. I don't know what everyone's will be, but a basic description of the power system is that they have the rareness and luck factor of Stands from Jojo but resemble the Devil Fruit users in One Piece more in that the abilities are physical and can be seen by anyone. Unlike Devil Fruits, abilities can be stacked and there can be multiples of the same ability, so two people could be elastic, but one can drain stamina and convert it into light while another can generate electricity and make metal and plastic float around.
There's also a second power system that's essentially Haki from One Piece. Willpower shaped into three different forms.
The Seven Holy Essences are one of the main things Bizarre V3 will be about aside from the characters themselves. Their inspirations are the infinity stones, the chaos emeralds, antiquated western and Japanese astronomy/mythology, and the general concept that plot coupons could be anything, really.
The "smaller, lesser essences" are based on the fixed stars and are a pretty important part in the overall backstory.
I don't have too much of a plot laid out so far, but I want it to be five "seasons" of sort. All I have is season 1 (basically what the character introductions set up,) season 2 (Idabashi lore, maybe take inspiration from Sonic Adventure 2? Add in the Purple People Eater somewhere, first final boss fight, etc.) and season 3 (version 3 of Star-Hunter Squadron: Elite Rangers!)
Characters do wear alternate outfits, including day-by-day clothes (well, most of them have day-by-day clothes.) Shuichi has clothes on and off the job, Kaede has a variety of sweater vest-related combos, Miu wears various outfits that are not lab-safe, etc.
Ships I'll feature are as follows: Saimatsu, Harukaito, Tenmiko and maybe even polyamory with Angie, Irumatsu (in the form of awkward and bitter exes,) ambiguous and possibly one-sided Saioma, Omota, and Omeno, Kokichi x some original character that appears in season 2 and is supposed to have a ludicrous amount of chemistry with him, and Kirumiu (is that the name for Kirumi x Miu? Miurumi?), mostly because I like it and my idea for it is that two women trying to get information out of eachother end up bonding over a lot of similarities between the two.
Writing-wise, the hardest part for me is trying to fit the Himiko plots into everything else. Himiko's busy with her overprotective girlfriend, joining what may be a cult, and serial killers while the other three-fourths of the cast is trying to figure out what the hell is going on with displacements and blue glows. Maybe Gonta gets depressed and exhausted from finding no results and goes to see one of Himiko's shows or even invites Himiko and her lovely assistant over, but Tenko gets involved in said displacements and blue glows.
To explain what I mean by "disappearances, reappearances, and displacements," here's some of the mysteries described: "Help! I can't find my husband" solved as "Oh! There's my husband! At a restaurant we went to once and hated? And he doesn't know how he got there?", "I couldn't find my keys, but they were in the attic. I wasn't in the attic since five years ago.", and "What the heck is the TV remote doing in my neighbor's front lawn?"
Danganronpa will appear as an in-universe franchise, but non-V3 characters will appear. It'll make sense when it comes up. Also fake memories implanted into vessels may show up.
There will be a fight scene between Maki and Kirumi in season 1 where they both use their powers because 1. They are on opposing sides and 2. Cool strong women fighting.
My idea of "Ryoma heavily interacting with DICE" partly came due to my desire to do something unique with Ryoma. I'm honestly getting tired of him being paired up with Kirumi and Gonta. I think there'll be a scene between Ryoma and Kirumi in season 2 and possibly onward, but in general I want Kokichi and Kirumi to interact, maybe a few Kokichi-Gonta interactions too, but little-to-no Ryoma-Gonta interactions. Also it makes sense to pair up the criminals and the gentleman and maid together.
The Gokuhara manor's description of vegetation growing in and around it is supposed to be similar to how there was vegetation growing in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles.
Rantaro has to be the green ranger because his western VA played The green ranger. I had a power rangers hyperfixation when I was 10.

I AM BANGING MY HEAD AGAINST THE FUCKING WALL AND ABOUT TO CRY I'M SO FUCKING MAD I HATE ZKS I HATE ZKS I HATE ZKS
okay, now that THAT is out of the way. I hate how zutarians treat Jet. I get aang, as he is katara's canon love interest and the one she ultimately ends up with. Naturally, this would screw with zks' delusions so, yeah, I can see where the hate is coming from, I understand (though by no means do I endorse it)
BUT JET??? WTF DID HE DO?? He was never a "threat" to zk, because katara ditched the barely a day long crush on him the second she learned about his plan. Was it the fact that he (rightfully!!!) calls out iroh and zuko and is antagonistic of them for not just being fn, but for straight up being fucking ROYALS, WHOSE DIRECT ANCESTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WAR IN THE FIRST PLACE??
It doesn't matter to zks that jetara was obviously never going to be canon. It doesn't matter to zks that jet's anger is justified. It doesn't matter that jet is probably one of the most tragic characters in the whole fucking franchise, who suffers greatly from war, becomes severely traumatized, loses pretty much everything and on top of that has an "honour" to be one of the few characters who DIES ON SCREEN. It doesn't matter to zks that he's just like katara, sokka and aang - a child permanently scarred by the war.
None of this matters!! He's now a sexist (wut) prick who downplays katara's achievements, toxic, cheats on her (wut) and in some cases just straight up abusive. Basically completely takes over what is usually aang's ""role"" in zks' fewer dreams as katara's abusive ex whom zuko saves her from.
WITH MY WHOLE FUCKING HEART - FUCK ZKS. It's one thing if it's projection and something like that for the sake of smut or whatever. I'm proship, I don't give a flying fuck about 99% of the stuff I see. But this is just a disrespect to Jet's whole character. Why can't they just make up a whole new faceless dude for the role of an abusive ex? Why does it have to be one of the characters, especially ones who were never interested in katara to begin with?!?!
1 - Jet has a lot in common with Zuko, but he is still obviously not the same as Zuko - yet Katara had feelings for him, and not for the fandom's favorite moody boy (and she had WAAAAAY better chemistry with Jet than she ever did with Zuko). Can't have that.
2 - Jet HATES the Fire Nation, which is completely fair (even if his actions in his introduction episode were attrocious). And this fandom, for whatever reason, LOVES to pretend "The Fire Nation totally had a bit of a point" and "Sozin was not an evil man, he just wanted to help people, please forget that he chose to use the comet to wipe out an entire race from the face of the Earth." Jet was always going to be controversial because the fandom would take his (incorrect) way of dealing with his trauma as proof he was 100% pure, while excuse Fire Nation characters that did bad things but had a heart/tragic backstory. Double-standards at it's finest.
3 - He antagonized Iroh and Zuko, two fan favorites. This is, apparently, the worst crime one can commit. As an Azula fan, I should know.
4 - The show was not always fair to Jet either. While they redeemed and KILLED him and the Gaang was clearly upset, the only time he is ever brought up again (without it being a joke) was in the Southern Raiders, and it only mentions the awful behavior he came to regret - not his change of heart. Sure, it was not an innacurate comparison at the moment, but it's unfair that the dude DIED to prove he had changed but is never remembered for anything other than his worst action.
5 - Bryke, unfairly, said anyone who ships Zutara is doomed to have awful, failed relationships for liking such a "dark" ship. They did not like that, and thus double-down on making anyone that had any involvement with Katara be the literal devil in their fics. Unlike Aang, Jet actually DID manipulate Katara once and showed he could get violent towards people with no provocation, so they latch onto that to go "See? OUR ship is not the bad one, THIS is!" completely ignoring Jet's regret, growth, and redemption, as well as Katara's forgivenes.
Anyways, Jet isn't even among my favorite Avatar characters, but Jesus, does the fandom love to crucify that boy for things they'd absolutely forgive characters like Zuko and Iroh for.

Help me Obi Peach Kenobi, I need your opinion on a veeeeeeeeery unimportant topic.
In my last Ask you talked about Jikook's chemistry
And also how a lot of people don't see it. And on Tumblr I've seen:
people that blatantly ignore it (which is so grotesque to me, I don't have further think on that)
and people who say "Jikook were very close till 2019, but not since then. Their moments just don't do it for me anymore"
So I've just wanted to hear your thoughts on the "Jikook aren't as close anymore (aka since 2019)" narrative?
Why I am asking for your opinion on this:
I value your opinion. You are someone where I think, the balance of the force is with you
you've been a BTS for quite a long time, much longer than me. 2021 has been the first time I've experienced BTS and Jikook content live and not just from watching past content. So I fear maybe that plays into my perception
while you enjoy Jikooks relationship, it's not a big focus for you. So there's less confirmation bias involved
Ask 2: Do you think the way ppl see jikook changed cos of the pandemic? Jikook used to be like sirens blasting
LOOK AT ME I'M FRUITY
NO MANGO.
Now they're very calm I almost don't notice them.
Ask 3: The way the fandom ignores jikook irritates the hell out of me. Some Armys are like sheep that do whatever big accounts tell them even if it means not seeing jikook giving hickeys. I'm not a shipper but I almost want to become one to negate the effect of Army always pretending jikook doesn't exist.

(...No mango? Really?)
Hi @guacamoli-avocadorado 💜 and Anon(s)!
I decided to group these very differently written asks together because I think they all pose similar questions. I’ll try not to ramble.
A couple years ago, I used to have this same debate with a joker friend on Twitter. In fact she’s the person that convinced me to join Tumblr where she said a bigger jikooker community was. Let’s call her A. I remember she had a theory that the way the fandom relates to jikook has changed dramatically since 2017, and she explained there are three or four groups of people in the fandom who react to jikook in particular ways.
1. The homophobic subset of the fandom. There’s no getting around it - many people are homophobic, either due to cultural upbringing such as the traditionally religious, or some other prejudice, and in a fandom as big as ARMY many of which are from conservative Asian cultures, there’s bound to be thousands like this.
2. The non-homophobic subset of the fandom that notices or suspects jikook but says nothing either out of respect or out of an inclination to protect them. (As a non-shipping rapline bias who had just started asking explicit questions at the time, she placed me in this group). Jikook can be as affectionate as they want with each other and it can be explained away as skinship or something permissible for idols to do - I’ve seen some jikookers refer to this as a glass closet. Some non-shipping people in the fandom see this, occasionally joke about jikook in this way, but try not to excessively draw attention to jikook given LGBT+ rights are frankly non-existent in Korea.
3. The rival shippers. Throw in the y/ns who sometimes overlap with the homophobes, the taekookers, yoonminers, etc. These are basically other shippers who may or may not see jikook, but clearly have an interest in dismissing anything jikook do.
4. The people who just don’t care. For them, out of sight is out of mind, and even when in sight, the interpersonal dynamics between the members is just not something they care about. One of my closest ARMY friends (Minimoni bias) is exactly like this. I could gush from now till tomorrow about jikook and the most she’ll do is have a slightly amused look on her face. It’s not that she hates jikook or hates shipping, she’s simply not interested in it.
**
At the time, I argued with A that there are more sub-groups (in group 4 for example there are anti-shippers who actively squash down any mention of interpersonal chemistry because they think it distracts people from the music and cheapens it. They’re like music purists or something lol, but some of them also overlap with group 1 and so they have an added interest in dismissing any chemistry at all). But looking at all your asks, I’d say these four groups broadly explain the reasons the fandom reacts to jikook the way they do.
@guacamoli-avocadorado , I think in addition to all these, the sorts of people to say they no longer see jikook since like 2019, are a particular type of shipper. These are people who I think need constant stimulation, they ship actively (and I’d argue in borderline unhealthy ways) and need a constant drip feed of content. The reason I say it’s borderline unhealthy, is because I think these are people who run the risk of seeing BTS more as objects than as real people with real lives which include other people besides Jimin and Jungkook.
Because a lot did change for BTS and jikook in 2020. Many pairing moments usually come from on stage interactions on tour and the Vlives that would happen right after, Run BTS moments, off the clock sightings in tour locations, and so on. Since 2020, first with the pandemic and then their hiatus, nearly all of these opportunities have whittled down in frequency, and in some ways have almost dried up. So people who forget that after the cameras turn off, BTS still exist in each other’s lives, and that even with reduced on camera instances jikook still maintain a consistency their fondness for each other, those people then come online to complain about jikook either not being as close or jikook not even being close at all anymore.
It’s basically bias - a form of binary confirmation bias where the absence of constant evidence negates every possibility. The annoying thing is that, it’s actually true that jikook’s relationship has changed, but it’s also true that it hasn’t really changed all that much either. Jimin and Jungkook are two individuals, adult men with different friend groups and different personal and career goals. As they mature, so will their relationship. As time passes we get glimpses into what that looks like, but based on what I’ve seen, the chemistry, fondness, and deference between them hasn’t worsened at all. It’s taken on a slightly different shade, but the Busan Bros have not slowed down their shenanigans.
I remember in 2020 when people were saying they had broken up (I’m not certain they’re dating, but I do remember seeing this theory all over based on an ‘out of sight out of mind’ rationale), and we later learned Jungkook had been getting drunk with him privately and spinning a grown man around bridal style.
I don’t know when people will learn to live and let live with jikook. They haven’t slowed down in 10 years, with the cameras rolling and the cameras off. Their relationship might have indeed changed since 2019, but not in any meaningful way that negates their love and respect for each other.
Whether or not some people see it has more to do with them and their bias, than anything jikook may or may not be doing in their personal lives.

What are your thoughts on Titanic? Especially as a romance? Do you think Rose and Jack would’ve had a HEA if he’d survived (I suppose romance convention dictates yes)?
I saw it again this weekend in the theater and was reminded how much I love it. It’s such an impressive spectacle and Leo and Kate really do have iconic chemistry and give great performances.
`
Oh, I adore Titanic. I think it's James Cameron's masterpiece (no I am not willing to hear arguments for anything. else.) and the type of movie I wish was made more these days. I've seen it in theaters during one of its previous re-releases. I somewhat purposefully indoctrinated my younger sibling into loving it by playing it all the time when I was watching them in their infancy (one of their first "sentences" was "I'm flying, Jack", a crowning achievement for 13 year old me). The special effects hold up; the script stands up pretty fucking well; the performances are great; it's the kind of un-self-conscious, wholehearted, bombastic movie that isn't made much today. I am, it must be said, a maximalist personality.
As a romance--Titanic, needles to say, isn't a genre romance due to the unhappy ending for Jack and Rose (sort of) but it is an excellent romantic drama. To me, it does an amazing job with getting you invested in a love story between two people who didn't know each other that long but just... clicked. Part of this is due to the script, but I think that basically any successful movie, but especially romantic movies, are successful because of a combination of a good script and good casting. With romance and erotic movies especially, I think that a movie can have a subpar script but make it work as a fun, enjoyable experience if the chemistry is there. Titanic has a good, if unabashedly sentimental script--it's taken over the top by very strong performances from Leo (who.... listen.... morally he is...... going off the deep end and that's all I'll say on that, but he remains one of the most talented actors of his generation) and Kate (who I also find morally kinda bankrupt, but obviously is a great actress--and this was pre "I will do anything for an Oscar" era Kate).
They also had... incredible chemistry. Do people even test for chemistry before casting leads today? Very few people today, I think, even understand what good chemistry is. I keep seeing those Set It Up people (who I like separately as actors, for the record) upheld as peak chemistry. Jesus. Even people who I would say have good chemistry today... often don't have the type of chemistry Leo and Kate have in Titanic and for that matter in Revolutionary Road. You feel the affection, you feel the fondness, you feel a carnality that nevertheless doesn't betray the innocence of the characters (I'm a "Jack was a virgin" truther, and Rose was not but I doubt she'd slept with more than one other person). I'm not ashamed to say that though I have seen this movie more times than I can count--put a few drinks in me and I'll cry at the end. Again. Because you just get so invested in the romance. And of course, also because the movie has like. Popsicle babies. I mean, Titanic was a true tragedy for all involved, and I actually think the movie portrays that pretty well.
But I mean... Yeah, I think those two would've had to get to know each other better, but they would've had an HEA had he lived. I think they clicked very well personalitywise. They loved each other. They had the determination to make it work. The trauma bond alone would've been intense, lol. I also am of the mind that she dies in the end and the final scene is the afterlife, and like.... I'm not saying she didn't love the father of her children... But did she love him AS MUCH? I don't know. Sorry to that man.
But yeah, I agree with you. Sometimes watching it makes me feel sad in a different way, because I feel like the time for movies like that... Truly epic movies where everything looks so tangible and there isn't a ridiculous IP attached and the story is intense and emotionally authentic and makes you feel bad (in a good way) sometimes... It's probably not over forever, but it definitely ain't happening at the moment and I don't see it coming back super soon.
Also, movies where the leads smashing faces actually sell me on their characters wanting to smash faces. Look at this deleted scene (which, yes it was deleted, but I firmly believe that was less because of the intensity and more because Jack was.... not supposed to be that good at kissing, hashtag Jack was a virgin, hashtag this is my door debate). Jesus. When was the last time we saw kissing like that in a movie that wasn't explicitly meant to be erotic~? People didn't give a shit about their teenagers watching Rose strip naked in the movie theater. (Fun fact: pretty sure Titanic is the first movie I saw with nudity? I was six, my parents were watching it at home, my dad was like "Maybe we shouldn't let her see this part" and my mom went "They're just breasts, she'll have the one day" and by God she was correct.)

Hiiii I'm really sorry to bother you but I noticed on your old blog you used to have a rule that said not to treat your character like Jesse Pinkman. I think I get why its a concern but I'm wondering why it doesn't say that anymore and also I'm curious to know about what you think the differences between Caleb and Jesse are
omg ok first of all bb, you are certainly not bothering me by asking questions. i appreciate being asked thank you 🥰
secondly uh, i removed that disclaimer from my rules bc i felt like i didn't really need it anymore. it does still apply but i really only had it up bc when i was still fairly new to writing caleb i would get a lot of anons making br.ba jokes. so naturally there would be a lot of people pretending to be fuckin walter white in my inbox trying to tell caleb "let's cook" and like "jesse stop screwing around with robots and get back to work" and shit and like. yeah it's a fun little joke. ONCE. 😬
when you're seeing it multiple times a day/week it loses charm real quick. so i decided to be kinda petty about it and be like 'y'all know that caleb is NOT jesse right?' and i did two things. i flat out stopped responding to br.ba anons and i added that warning to my rules. and it seemed like it worked! i stopped getting flooded and my inbox was allowed to know peace again. but like i said, i don't think i really need it anymore because it should just be kind of a given, right? i mean i'm sure this has happened to other people before and will continue to happen bc that's the internet and unfortunately some people have no concept of boundaries and others just struggle with understanding that they might be making someone uncomfortable without intending to.
but like. to think of a popular example which i'm sure has happened before and will surely happen in the future i just think of a mun who writes joel from the last of us and maybe they like using pedro pascal's portrayal and they enjoy using him as an fc. now imagine that rper getting an inbox filled with anon messages treating joel as totally indistinguishable from the mandalorian. telling him he's gotta go find grogu or asking him why he abandoned his son for ellie or something along those lines. there are some GLARING differences between joel miller and din djarin. they're clearly not the same character.
so it might be funny to the person sending the messages and they're probably just having fun like. i'm sure they don't mean anything bad by it. but lemme tell ya, it's not as much fun to the mun on the receiving end. and in my case it sent me into a lil bit of a writer crisis like 'oh fuck is caleb nichols just a carbon copy of jesse pinkman is that how other people i write with see him?? what can i do to make him stand apart and be different without pulling him away from westworld canon too much??'
so anyway that's the rant over with. to answer the second half of this, caleb and jesse are different people. they just are. they do have a lot in common ranging from appearance to basic personality traits to the way they use body language, but they aren't completely the same. they come from different backgrounds which were influenced by various different factors.
jesse is more creative, he's an artist at heart and he has an artist's mindset and that's a kind of freedom to him. he expresses himself mainly through aesthetics. he draws, he wears a colorful wardrobe that really makes him stand out, the first time walter tells him that cooking crystal is chemistry jesse argues back that it is art and he has his signature style and he resents that walt forces him to change it. the reason jesse got involved in the drug trade is predominantly because it's the one place he is allowed and encouraged to express himself freely through art.
caleb on the other hand, is a soldier and he has a soldier's mindset toward most things. he is/was for the most part content with being told what to do next, following orders, sticking to a game plan. he expresses himself mainly through acts of service in canon, particularly to family as we see with his mom in the hospital and when he leaves his wife and daughter behind to go try and put a stop to the war that's coming. he wants to help, he wants to keep everyone safe and the only way he really knows how to do that is to fight.
i'd also say that while jesse and caleb are both highly empathetic and sensitive to the feelings of others, caleb is more stoic about it. i'm not totally sure if that's just how he is naturally or if he's so wracked and troubled by traumatic experiences and was trained to swallow those emotions in the military or otherwise learned to shut down but like. where jesse is always emoting something and never just sitting completely still and blank, caleb seems more comfortable with staying quiet and not always necessarily showing what's on his mind at a given moment.
and there are or course many more things i can say about specific differences but i feel like i've made this post long enough and gone on a scattered tangent so like. i might explore it way more in depth at a later date. ❤️

~House Rules, Babydoll~
Absolutely no minors allowed. Valentino is definitely one of my most fucked up muses. There will be mentions of sexual assault, drug use, abuse of all kinds and lots of violence. I will try to tag some of the heavier stuff or put keep it hidden if possible. That being said, you must be 18 at least to interact with Val or any of my other blogs.
This kinda plays into the first rule but fuck it. Valentino is a villain and he's going to act like one. If that's not something you can handle, don't bother.
Don't bother me about responses. If it's been at least a week, send it to me or tag me in your response so I know.
Do not reblog anything that you're not involved with.
Give me something to work with. Full stop. If I can't do anything with that meme or that starter you sent me and you refuse to provide context, I'm going to ignore you and if you keep doing it, we won't be writing together anymore.
Have basic RP knowledge, please! Including RPC manners. Such as don't metagame, godmod or anything else of that nature
READ MY FUCKING RULES! I DON'T PUT THESE HERE TO BE IGNORED
Don't just like my starters. Respond. It's really annoying when I post a starter that gets a bunch of likes but no replies. You don't have to ask me if you can reply. As long as you're a moot, I don't care. Don't steal my starters either. I have had it happen and it's extremely rude.
Mutuals Only. If we're not mutuals, we're not interacting. It's an easy fix too.
Non RP blogs (unless it's a main blog), blank blogs or porn blogs will not be tolerated and will be blocked on sight.
Val is pan and poly. That being said, his ships are wide open. Though shipping him with any of the Hotel peeps aside from Angel seems a little weird to me. Don't force anything. I ship based on Canon and chemistry. I am not your personal fanfic writer. If a ship doesn't work, it doesn't work.
If I forgot any rules, just go look at one of my other blogs. They still apply.
Don't get me involved in drama, please. It's different if we're friends but I don't want to be a part of anything like that. I'm here to play and meet some new peeps, not listen to bullshit drama. If someone is an actual threat, go ahead and let me know but don't tell me who I can and can't interact with. This is my blog.
I put a rule about Val before but just in case. HE IS AN ABUSIVE PIECE OF SHIT SO THERE WILL BE HEAVY CONTENT!! I will try to tag the worst of it but if I miss something, let me know. Please understand that mun does not equal muse. I would never condone anything that Valentino does or says. I am an abuse victim myself and I would never do or say anything that he does. He is a villain and a canon abuser. I will write him as such. If that's not ok with you, you're free to block, unfollow or just not read my threads.

Weekly Reading Update Catch-Up (04/29/24-05/20/24)
The Sunshine Court by Nora Sakavic (8/10)
As I've made very clear, I have a complicated relationship with the All for the Game series. Part of that has to do with the fact that the original trilogy, while incredibly entertaining and with some super interesting characters, is not very well-written. However, reading The Sunshine Court, I can see how much Sakavic's writing has improved. While this book is on the slower side, the pacing is much better, there's less awkward wording, and the way she addresses trauma and mental health is astronomically better. There's a great build-up with Jean's character, Sakavic has maintained her strongest suit (groups of characters that are close friends with good chemistry), and it's great to see some diversity in her LGBTQ+ rep (this book introduces our first sapphic relationship and trans character). Like I said, it's on the slower side, and I wish we'd gotten a bit more about Jeremy--I kept forgetting he has a past since it was only hinted at a couple of times. This was a great continuation to the series that improved a ton without losing its unique charm.
More reviews under the cut
The Sacrifice by Emily Shore (18+, 4/10)
This started off fun, the sort of thing I enjoy in a fantasy romance, but it quickly devolved. A lot of books pitched as 'smutty' are usually highly exaggerated with a couple of scenes, but not this one. In fact, I don't think there's a single stint of twenty pages that doesn't have a sex scene. It got to the point of ridiculousness, especially since this book was still trying to execute a semblance of a plot. Surely this can wait until after the looming threat is dealt with? Also, a lot of this smut involves things I'm not personally into, so I ended up skimming a lot of the scenes (~70% of the book). There was some interesting stuff going on with the main character and her shadow, but very little of it is explored in favor of making the characters bang...again.
The 100 by Kass Morgan (8/10)
This is a reread, and to be completely honest, I don't actually think this book is a full four stars in terms of quality. However, I have so much fun reading this book, and I am so insanely attached to Clarke and Bellamy that it boosts the rating a bit. This is a pretty typical YA dystopia, and it really scratches that itch for stories of teenage survival. It is very different from the show, so don't go into this expecting that. The main cast is different, those who are the same have slightly altered personalities, and only the most basic premise is shared in terms of plot. I always enjoy this read, but I must admit that way too much time is spent in flashbacks when things like power dynamics, side characters, and general detail shmould be getting way more attention.
Alpha Inmate by Liliana Carlisle (18+, 6/10)
This was a very quick read in my Unhinged Romance Marathon, and it honestly wasn't that bad. There's a lot of consensual non-consent vibes, but that's mostly in the dirty talk. While the main character, Ellie, is constantly talking about how she shouldn't be doing this, how bad it is, it's made very clear that she does want this. It's built to be a darker story with a serial killer love interest, a physical power imbalance, and Alpha Influence, this thing where alphas can just make their mate do...whatever they want. But when it actually comes down to it, the male lead is very insistent that he needs the main character's consent before doing anything. The Influence thing is used to make her open up about her trauma and nothing else. I feel like this reflects a lot of the psychology around sexual assault fantasies with women feeling they must be pure but still craving sex so they construct a fantasy where they are 'forced' to do something. It's really not that dark. The couple is very insta-love, or just insta-attraction, but this book is only 174 pages long. Overall, a vaguely entertaining read and pretty much just smut.
Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark (18+, 8/10)
This was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be! A lot of contemporary romances are pitched as enemies to lovers when they would be better suited to the rivals or just annoyance label, but these were true enemies. After all, they attempt to kill each other on their wedding night. The banter was a lot of fun, and I really liked how Aida and Callum played off each other. There are three major things stopping this from being a 9 or 10 for me. First, it kind of loses momentum two-thirds of the way through, moving through the "to lovers" part a little too quickly for me. Second, despite the title being Brutal Prince, Callum honestly isn't that brutal. If anything, Aida is far more prone to violence. Third, this book comes with illustrations and they are god awful. I'm sorry to the illustrator, but the art was so weird, like caricatures of what "sexy" people should be, and I had to ignore it to get through the book. Still, this book honestly made me laugh at some points, and there's sizzling chemistry, so it stays up there for me.
Empire of Storms/Tower of Dawn Tandem Read by Sarah J. Maas (8/10, 6/10)
This took a lot of work to get through, partially because of the sheer length (~1300 pages) and partially because of the Tower of Dawn parts. Starting with EoS, it had a lot more action than I typically see from SJM novels. I also really enjoyed a lot of the romance, mainly between Aelin and Rowan, who are probably the characters I care the most about. I liked how much plot development there was, and it finally felt like there were actual consequences toward the end. However, there were a few plot threads that felt like padding instead of necessary information, often ending in last-minute deus ex machinas. Also, SJM has chronic pair-everyone-up-itis, regardless of whether that romance has any merit or chemistry (looking at you, Aedion and Lysandra).
In comparison to EoS, ToD is astonishingly boring. Half the book is Chaol walking around, moping about his oh-so-terrible conditions (which I have no sympathy for considering I was seeing this right after reading about Aelin and the others fighting for their lives). Most of the time I forgot about the main mystery at hand, because very little happened with it overall, and I was practically skimming toward the end. This book still gets a decent score on three accounts. One, I like Yrene. Two, I'm so glad Nesryn gets to be with her hot prince and not boring Chaol. Three, there is a reveal in this book that actually shocked me, so points for that.
The Sea Witch by Rebecca F. Kenney (4/10)
This one is just way too drawn out and contrived. While not exactly instalove, there is instant attraction, and everything past around the midpoint feels like desperate attempts to prolong the plot and keep the main characters from getting together. For example, the Sea Witch's motivations for leaving Averil a human forever are so stupid. Oh, it's part of his revenge--surely taking over the kingdom is plenty revenge. Also, it was so predictable that the prince would end up being an asshole. It would have introduced so much more emotional conflict if he had been just a regular person but Averil ends up falling in love with someone else. Or, to adhere to the original tale, it would have been a moment of heartbreak for her to realize he was in love with someone else, rather than the anger and revenge it's played for. There are just a lot of lost opportunities in this book, playing into overdone tropes instead of creating something new.
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas (6/10)
It's a bit unfortunate that a story with such a long build-up would end as disappointingly as it does. First of all, as is standard with SJM books, this could easily have been 200 pages shorter. The constant back-and-forth, particularly in Aedion and Lysandra's perspectives, of preparing for death, then it's prolonged for an extra day, but it's not quite enough, was exhausting. Dorian's whole interlude with Maeve was so weird, making no sense character-wise for Maeve, who has been utterly ruthless up until this point, and most of the relationships read as rushed and forced, particularly Aedion/Lysandra and Lorcan/Elide, which have pretty much the exact same story going on. I enjoyed Aelin's escape and her healing process, and her and Rowan's relationship is always entertaining to read. However, my biggest critique is a major one. MAJOR SPOILER If you're going to introduce magical items that the characters spend no less than four books hunting down and collecting that are supposed to be a solution to their problems and then have them finally use them only for it to result in the main character losing her magical abilities and it not even doing the one thing it was supposed to do? That's bad writing, and incredibly unsatisfying for your audience. MAJOR SPOILER END Overall, I didn't get the sense of closure that I wanted from this book, and the series as a whole was mediocre, with my average rating across all the books being a 6.5 or 3.25 stars.
Kingdoms of Shadow and Ash by H. R. Moore (DNF @ 11%)
I DNF'd this so astonishingly quick because of one major issue, and that is the main character. Something that is a plague upon particularly fantasy romances are characters with shockingly modern sensibilities--despite no backstory or explanation as to why their outlook would be so different from everyone else. This book opens on a queen who has just finished conquering five kingdoms, and she promptly begins ordering people to hire women, pay income-adjusted taxes, and all sorts of progressive reform. Lovely sentiment, but why does the medieval-land queen have these sorts of ideals? And then there's the issue that these orders lose some of their appeal when you realize that as morally correct as they are, they are still issued by an absolute monarch who just finished a bloody military campaign to secure power for herself. Sometimes you can just let your main character be shitty.
Island of Graves by Lisa McMann (DNF @ 34%)
I've been working through The Unwanteds, and I must unfortunately say that I've lot interest in this series. I love a good middle grade series, and I understand that they are, of course, a bit more simple. However, I still expect a modicum of character development over the course of four books. Alex and his friends have stagnated for multiple books with any potential moral dilemmas (the seaweed, redeeming Aaron, or even just the trolley problem in a different format) either skirted around or just never presented to them. I feel like I've been reading the same story for at least four books, and Alex has become less of an awkward teenager trying to carry a community on his back and more of a flawless leader who seems to only have superficial problems. The morals are all out of whack (it's okay to kill someone in an ambush but not when they're unconscious, even if the person in question in canonically killing multiple people a day), and I just have no more motivation to work through these books anymore.
Captivate by E. J. Lawson (CR, 53%)
This isn't even a part of my romance marathon, it's just something I picked up on a whim, and it's sort of boring. There's obviously good chemistry between all the main characters, they've even had sex, and yet the most inane, stupid reason is given to keep them from getting together. I can see how this particular issue (a fatal, uncurable disease) might affect their choices, but that's not even the problem! The problem is that the female lead is refusing to tell anyone about it, despite having basically no reason to keep it from them. Utter nonsense.
365 Days by Blanka Lipinska (18+, CR, 14%)
Rest assured, I am not reading this book of my own free will and will likely be DNFing at my self-imposed 20% threshold. I cannot imagine someone writing this and thinking that this was how real life people behaved. 40 pages in and the main character is already intensely unlikable with seemingly no personality outside her permanent makeup and bold fashion choices (which far too much description is given to), and the love interest has some sort of stupid mystical connection to her, which he deals with by fucking other women in highly coercive situations.

Your post about popularity on social media not transferring into the real world success kind of reminded me of OhmFluke vs BounPrem. On social media BounPrem is very popular and I'm almost certain they were the start of a lot of people's secondary couple syndrome. Their success as their characters in UWMA has even led to a series starring them being produced. Now, while they are successful and very popular, the amount of work they've gotten since UWMA pales in comparison to what OhmFluke has gotten. BounPrem have made some guests appearances and I think they just released a mini series that I see no one talking about, but that's really it, while OhmFluke have been booked and busy, with 3 series just in a year span.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that it is very true that popularity is not enough for your favorites to be cast as leads in series because while fans/stans are willing to forgive bad acting, poor chemistry, and awkward interactions involving their favorite actors/couples, casual viewers/general public are not and they tend to make up majority of the viewers. Once people see something they don't like, they're done, so the safer bet for series creators is still to pick the people who are best for the job and not fan favorites.
Tumblr media
Anon, you said it far better than I could. The casual viewer will simply tune out. They won't do all of this hemming, hawing, and wishing for the show to get better. They simply stop watching the show and then the ratings tank. Casual viewers don't 'hate watch' shows, generally speaking. That's purely a weird fandom thing.
I've been alluding to that for weeks, maybe even months. I just never came out and said it because things in the fandom were more ... calm. Now that the fandom is in chaos, I think the truth is finally coming out. Some fans believe the fandom outnumber casual viewers and that's never been true. It's never been true. It doesn't matter how much technology has grown and cultivated the fandom experience; the fandom does not outnumber casual viewers. Which is why I said 'popularity' can't necessarily be quantified because the majority of people who watch these shows don't even have a fandom presence. The majority of these viewers don't participate in anything fandom-adjacent, so that's a huge chunk of your viewership where you have no idea what they think and what they feel. You just know what the fandom on the internet feels; even then, you can't really know because there are tons of people who are in other fandoms who may watch certain shows but they don't engage in the fandoms for those shows. Essentially, you can be in the fandom for Show A but simply be apart of the casual viewer group for Show B.
It all boils down to whether or not something tangible is coming from all of this so-called 'popularity.' It doesn't matter if your ship is pulling in 450k tweets every week; is that translating to something real? Is it translating to some sort of longevity for their acting careers? If not, then who gives a fuck? Also, casual viewers don't actually 'ship' anything so they're not going to ignore bad acting and weak/lackluster chemistry just because they 'ship' this pairing. That's not how they operate.

Hey TAJ :)
I've been reading your blog for a bit now and I realy like how well-thought out your answers are. I've had a moral dilemma I'd like your opinion on. Ever since joining this fandom I told myself that I wouldn't get involved in the shipping side of ARMY, because BTS are, you know, real people. But seeing the chemistry and dare I say, tension? between Jungkook and Jimin I couldn't help but get curious and started watching some of their compliation videos and even read some fanfiction about them. They're just very adorable together.
I'm personaly still kind of torn about RPS though.
Some of the stories I've read and drawings I've seen can only be described as beautiful art and since writers and painters have had muses for centuries maybe getting creative inspiration from Jikook is not soo bad?
I still feel like creating overly fetishized work about them (basically porn) or posting shipping content on platforms we know they frequent is too much though and crosses an, admittedly very blurry, line.
They themselves haven't said anything regarding shipping, but for me that doesn't give everyone a free pass to post whatever like they're fictonial characters. Where do you draw the line about fanwork, if at all? Do you think I'm being too prudish about this?
Sorry for the long ask, if you read it :)
Hi, anon! Thank you so much for the kind words. 💜
What an intriguing ask. I’ll do my best to offer you my two cents, but please know that you should always do what’s comfortable for you!
So while I’ve never judged anyone who engaged in RPS, I’ve personally never liked it and never planned on participating in it myself at any point, so you can imagine my surprise that I’m now in the position I’m in.
Tumblr media
I’ve read fic in the past, but it’s not something I do anymore (I have shared 3 fics here that I still re-read from time to time because they’re just that good). I still indulge in the occasional art if I see it on my timeline, but I avoid anything explicit.
There’s nothing wrong with artists/writers who choose to create more mature content, but it’s very much not for me. In the back of my mind, there are boundaries that I need to honor for myself with regards to RPS, and that means no mature content based off the boys.
I wouldn’t say you’re prudish, but the creators themselves aren’t criminal for drawing/writing what they like. I do, however, disagree with mature content being shared directly to the boys (some people have apparently done it), but if they’re keeping those in their own accounts and not directing those types of art to them, the practice is harmless.
I wouldn’t push yourself into exploring that side of fandom if you’re truly uncomfortable with it, but I do know some people whose barriers came down eventually and found it wasn’t so bad after they properly figured how to compartmentalize reality from fiction in the context of RPS.
So basically, RPS work of all forms and ratings are fine by me as long as the creators respect the fact that there are things that shouldn’t be shared to the boys, but I personally avoid fan work except for the occasional cool art or something (and even then I don’t intentionally seek it out).
Hope that somewhat helps with your dilemma, but I suggest not worrying and overthinking about it. Do (or don’t do) whatever it is that allows you to have fun in this fandom! 💜

Ready for the endgame route split in my second playthrough, so let's talk Chapters 11-16 in this run.
The story so far: Expelling the Roselle in Chapters 11-12 is more repetitive than protecting them, because you have to fight them in their village first and then fight Silvio and Rufus in their village, in the rain. The other path doesn't have a battle at all in Chapter 12, but it looks like Silvio dies here either way. (Also, if you've seen the map of the story structure that's been linked on Reddit and elsewhere, there's a minor error here - there's no vote in Chapter 12 regardless of which you chose in 11.) I did the Utility votes in 13 and 15, leading to a semi-stealth map at the Telliore villa - and worldbuilding for their seemingly anachronistic streetlamps, imagine that - followed by a different version of killing Thalas and Erika on the Whiteholm bridge. Cordelia takes an arrow protecting Roland here, so I suppose she's always going to get injured in this sequence. The Utility vote for 15 involves staying in the capital with Roland to deal with Patriatte's royalists, and got me Cordelia as a healer of only a slightly different flavor from Geela. Roland continues to give off Dimitri vibes when a girl tries to stab him over the death of a family member (here killed by Patriatte's troops in the name of suppressing an insurrection), but unlike Dimitri the story just keeps wearing poor Roland down by completely stacking the deck against him and making it impossible for him to be a competent ruler. It's little wonder he wants to surrender his crown and let Hyzante deal with it in his route...which I'm going to be seeing in full shortly. Worth noting - you do still get the reveal that Serenoa is Regna's bastard, clearly in order to set up the possibility of Benedict's route.
On characters: At this point I'm fairly sure I've gotten most of the character stories barring those for people I've only just recruited (Giovanna, Maxwell, and Cordelia) or that I don't have yet because they're on different story splits (Travis, Trish, and Avlora). The more of these I see the more I get oddly nostalgic for FE's lowkey horny writing, because the writing of TS is remarkably stripped down when it comes to anything approaching romance, much less dirty innuendos or fanservice-y bits. Outside of the half-naked dancer Milo openly propositioning Serenoa if he chooses to go visit his father in 15 plus a single scene of Thalas very obviously having sex with a generic NPC offscreen, there's basically nothing dirty to enjoy here. Additionally, except for Serenoa/Frederica (which itself isn't exactly bursting with chemistry as a pairing, likely to make it easier for there to be one ending where they split up and one ending where their marriage appears to remain strictly political) and little stray hints that Hughette might have a thing for Roland, there's nothing in the way of romance either. That's not TS's focus, of course, and I can appreciate that, but as I said it does make me miss FE's ridiculous fanservice and subtext.
Gameplay: The Utility version of Chapter 13 is the standout here for its stealth elements. Serenoa just hit the level cap of 50 and the rest of my characters are 45+, so unit progression is about to plateau. I still have plenty of weapon upgrades to get though as well as promoting around half the cast, so I'll have goals to work towards in later playthroughs regardless. I'm just hoping that subsequent runs don't feel too repetitive, as the Roselle arc demonstrates that TS does sometimes skimp on map variety.

Hi Lia! Hope you are doing well. I don't know if you are taking requests at the moment, but before I blabber out anything let me just tell you that your blog is one of my comfort blogs, like whenever I feel dejected (which is often), I just come to your Kuroo writings and get a fresh dose of serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine, no matter how many times I re-read them.
Okay so here's the thing! It's kind of comfort/self-indulgent of sorts. So, like the scenario is that the reader is insecure that maybe they are too smart, studious/nerdy and independent for Kuroo. Like normally they are indifferent and doesn't even bother what is happening around, but at times they feel slightly sad when all the girls flock around Kuroo, to help them with studies or any other tasks. They know very well that some of them purposely come to him to see him and to spend time with him (Like he is so charismatic!!). But Kuroo being a sweet and helpful senior can never deny them. So reader has thoughts like "I wish I were dumb and stupid", which of course somehow Kuroo gets to know and consoles them. Like you know saying stuff like "I love your beautiful mind", "only you can find the stupid faults in my pickup lines", "genuinely laugh at my chemistry jokes", "you are my partner-in-crime" etc etc.
Feel free to shorten this request and add more characters if you feel like, as per your convenience but I am not over with my rant yet. I hope you won't mind, I just needed to vent out.
So basically the thing is I am a NERD and there are many reasons on why I love Kuroo but most importantly I feel like I could have mentally stimulating conversations with him since he is an officially recognized chem dork by the fandom. And um since I am passionate about chemistry along with every other subject under the sky (Nerd things, yeah!), so you know. But usually in most of the fics it is shown that the reader is not good at studies, and asks him for help and him being cheeky, and helping the reader out by tutoring them, like nothing wrong in that but at times I feel left out because I honestly don't need any help with my homework or any tutoring in study dates. I am at top of my work even though I procrastinate a lot. How about discussing cool stuff about the subjects that we study over such sessions? Another pathetic thing that I have observed is this disastrous pick up line used in Kuroo fics (I am sorry if you have ever mentioned it or liked it. I don't mean to hurt you) is that - "Are you a compound made up of Beryllium and Barium because you are a total BaBe"..... Like ughhhh give me a break! Beryllium and Barium have the same oxidation state of +2 , so they can't really combine to form a compound duhhh!!! Or maybe I don't know, probably Kuroo won't like a smart or studious s/o?
Anyways, I am sorry if I wasted your time and thank you if you read all of it. Sending you loads of love and take no stress. You have the complete liberty to not write this request and if you choose to write this then thank you so much <3 <3
omg hi there! i get where you're coming from!! and to answer your question, he'd most definitely love having a nerdy s/o who'll geek out over things that stimulates his brain! to be able to have complex talks and arguments with you is one of his favorite past times :) he'll talk about the things that he wonders about to you and whenever he comes across a trick question/puzzle, he'll go to you like "can you figure this out? i've been stuck on it for ages!"
and if you figure it out easily, he'll be dumbfounded ahahha
i'm very very glad that this is a comfort blog for you :' in all honesty, it's a comfort blog for me too. it feels wonderful to be able to have a platform where i can share my thoughts and interact with others who have the same ideas
about the scenario, i'd be happy to write it! but firstly, do not ever wish you're dumb and dependent >:( whaaa the things i'd trade for your brain???
- your independence and intelligence are traits that kuroo looks up to. although you're already his s/o, your independence gives him chances to seek your attention and love, all while having the reassurance that you love him already. he can have fun teasing you and chasing after you for affection, all while knowing he'll get the love back!
i don't know if this is making sense lol but kuroo wouldn't fall behind or cling onto you, instead find his own ways to turn your independence into something he finds a lot of joy in. and also because he's quite independent and busy himself, he totally understands you!
and yes, there will most likely be a flock of girls (and guys 👀) lined up outside his door to spend time with him (kuroo and his charismatic charms that are too good for their own sake) he makes it quite clear that's he's already taken and has zero interest in them besides helping out! but also, getting other peoples' attention does feel good, so his schedule involves a lot of tutoring and helping others.
except it's not a pretty sight when you walk into the library where you're supposed to meet him, and see the close proximity between him and the girl he's "tutoring"
who said that he doesn't need your help?? help goes both ways!! kuroo would go to you and seek your help and attention :) and also because he likes to have an excuse to spend time with you, all while understanding the concepts he's been struggling with!
if you ever have those "i wish i was dumb and stupid" thoughts, (which 1. you should literally NEVER BE HAVING) then kuroo would likely notice *somehow*
idk it's like his 6th sense...to connect actions and facial expressions with thoughts. he'll teasingly tell you "if you didn't have that brain and personality of yours, who'll i go to for help? you're supposed to be my plan A here"
no but seriously, what'll he ever do without you? you're making him feel *negative feelings* when you have those thoughts!
and so the conversation will turn into him covering your face in small kisses. he'll hold the sides of your face and stare at the top of your head, saying something ridiculous like "i'd kiss your brain too if i could"
and of course, you'll nudge him and he'll laugh.
you're genuinely the only one he loves giving those pick-up lines and complex jokes, mostly because 1. he loves your laugh 2. you're the only one who understands! you two will have many, many inside jokes that no one else knows about, and he thinks that's special
also, less and less girls will start going to him for help after he keeps dropping those "yeah no problem...review on monday? sorry 'bout that, i'm hanging out with my s/o that day"
or "oh, it's okay to not understand this. i didn't know what was going on until my s/o taught it to me"
~~~
YES having mentally stimulating conversations with him!!!! deep talks!! not only would you be able to have deep and complex convos with him, but also light hearted ones about movie characters, songs...he's a very open-minded person and that's what i love about him :'
how. are. you. so. smart. and. on. top. of. things. gimme ur skills and motivations D:
although you don't need tutoring on study dates, kuroo would search up difficult problems that requires a lot of critical thinking and *poof* hopefully, you'll be stuck and he'll feel all proud for knowing something you don't (bonk him on the head for me)
but if you do figure it out, he'll be like o_o the whole rest of the study date
RIGHT !! BaBe does not work together lollll (omg i've never thought about their oxidation states :0) but it's still a cute joke in a way :)
but yeah, i don't like those scientific jokes very much either. they get old after a while D:
if kuroo ever drops that joke on you, tell him to do better and he'll laugh and walk away, later trying to think of a better and accurate one
wdym kuroo won't like a studious s/o ?!!!! OF COURSE HE WOULD
~~~

Dont sell yourself short! Having read your analyses you definetly dont suck at writting!
Anway i realy love your oc. I havent seen anything like it. Can you describe her relationship whith Kokichi? How they get along, there chemistry, etc?
This got long as shit lol
OC -> Kokichi
Basically my OC really respects him and wants to be friends. She really needs his help as well, because she knows that she can't fix this problem on her own and she needs someone a bit smarter to help her out.
She figured out that he was going to be the antihero antagonist type and tries to mitigate the harm that comes his way or at least be there with him to make sure he doesn't die. She tries to do little things for him since can't do a whole lot without compromising her already vulnerable position since the workout squad wouldn't like it if she directly defended him. She feels a bit guilty for not doing more, but tries to focus on what she can do.
She stays behind after the Insect Meet and Greet, yells at Maki in Chapter 2 when she chokes him and goes to check up on him afterwards, after he hits his head in Chapter 3 she makes sure he's alive and then makes a little med kit for him from Tsumugi's sewing supplies and places it somewhere he can easily find it, and she calls out Shuichi and Kaito's bullshit during the 4th trial (under the guise of a friend being disappointed in their fight and their actions) and proves Kokichi's innocence (which is exactly what he didn't want but she didn't know RIP.)
The biggest thing she did for him was in Chapter 5 where she disavowed the workout squad because they were being jerks to him despite that putting her life in danger (because her survival hinges on how close she is to the protagonist,) tries to check up on him because she's really worried about Kokichi possibly attempting suicide after what he said before Gonta's execution and the fact that he isolated himself immediately afterwards, and saves his life in the hanger despite both Kokichi wanting to die and the fact that Monokuma could use Kokichi's plan to get her executed if she doesn't play her cards right. She essentially steps out of the safety and security of being a barely-involved side character to make sure he lives on.
Kokichi -> OC
Very confused about why she's trying to stick with him but he's not upset by it. The only problem is that she seems to know things the rest of the cast doesn't and she's been acting strangely since she took her tumble, which makes him initially suspect that she's either the mastermind herself or a spy/mole for the mastermind.
He initially hangs out with her to keep an eye on her, but then he finds that he actually enjoys her company and is really conflicted about it. He eventually confronts her about what she knows in Chapter 3, but she can't answer him. This frustrates him because he actually wants to believe in her but she's making it hard for him.
After that he distances himself from her, to her dismay, but misses her a bit. He doesn't trust her enough to help him pull of his plan in Chapter 4 so she's not involved and is clueless as to what's going on. He gets very frustrated that she's ruining his plans by proving his innocence and starts trying to hurt her to make her stop (and kinda take out his frustration,) which he succeeds in, but she still respects him so much that she keeps trying to help which makes him second guess himself.
Why is he so mad at her for lying and not telling him important things when he does the same thing? That's not exactly fair, especially when she's tried so hard to be a good friend to him this whole time except for that one thing. And why exactly is he mad that she won't open up to him anyway...? Because he likes her lol. He eventually comes the to conclusion that she's not the mastermind and is either being blackmailed or otherwise silenced by the mastermind, believing in her actions up until that point and having faith that she's not just pretending to be his friend.
Despite this, he still distances himself from her to keep with his "I'm the mastermind" plan and since he feels like he's already hurt her enough anyway. Ending on bad terms and having her get hurt by that is preferable to watching her die after getting involved in his riskiest plan to date, especially since Gonta just died. He's not someone who can properly get along with people anyway, she's better off not getting closer to him than she already has... is what he keeps telling himself, but he can't bring himself to actually want to cut her off despite going through with it.
In Chapter 5 when she begs to be let into the hanger or else "they" will kill her, he lets her in under the assumption (and guilt) that his actions led the mastermind to target her as well. It's a lie, but she actually manages to pull one over on him this time since she knows more about what's happening and he knows that she knows more than he does, so he trusts in what she's saying about how she's being targeted. She's not 100% lying, she really has been targeted since the beginning, but she's not telling him everything and the reason she started banging on the hanger door in the first place wasn't because she was scared and needed his immediate help, but rather because she was scared for his sake and decided to put him on suicide watch.
Being in the hanger and coincidentally having been the one who swapped the poisons and antidotes in Shuichi's lab is how she saves his life, but it's still kind of a betrayal since she's wrecking his self sacrificing plan that he thinks will save everyone (she knows better though, which is why she stops the plan. If the plan would've actually worked she would have let him die, albeit while feeling very guilty.)
Their relationship is rocky in Chapter 6, with both sides wanting to reconnect despite both having done wrong by the other even if they were doing so for the right reasons. Neither really knows where they stand with each other and they're really awkward despite working together to investigate the mastermind (aka her leading him step by step because she already knows who it is, they were friends last season afterall.)
Once they get out of the game their relationship finally has time to heal since neither of them have to juggle their killing game personas and their friendship at the same time and they inevitably get together.
She helps Kokichi through therapy and he helps her reconcile with everything she's done to get to this point. Many tears later their relationship is really strong and they're practically inseparable.
The end :D

Tumblr media
I'm going to answer it this way, because I'm actually not a fan of some of those, and I've heard this is the way to do it if you don't want it ending up in the tag or the search I think? If i censor any of the ship names it's not out of malice! I simply don't want any of this to end up in front of eyes that just want to enjoy their ships 💖💖💖 if there is anyone who doesn't want to see opinions against t*d*d*ku, k*r*b*ku, or even iz**ch*ka, please don't read any further! Oh my goodness i hope this is all legible...
Anyways, hello!! Thank you so much for the ask!! I love talking about my opinion avkvmsocnaocjsoxks it also makes me really happy you like my blog 🥺🥺🥺 (I hope this answer doesn't ruin that avskvneognsocjs)
I'll start out by confirming that I'm not a multishipper. It makes me excited to see how the act of shipping itself can make others happy, but it's just not that way for me. I actually never read fanfic until I got into bnha (bkdk is just that powerful 😁😁) I'm actually...a little serious when i ship, or when i enjoy media, i analyze pretty heavily, so also, if that doesn't sound like anyone's cup of tea, i would once again recommend to stop reading and enjoy your day please!
I love analyzing characters and storylines and dynamics, but i will admit, I'm not a fan of most of the ships - not romantically. I think all the characters have interesting relationships to each other, all of the kids are great friends, and I love bonds and friendships so much 🥺🥺🥺
Those first two are perhaps the biggest, at least they definitely were the biggest when I first entered. Once i caught up, I didn't really understand the enthusiasm, but people have fun shipping, so that's nice! I think of those two as easy ships, if that makes sense? They're pretty simple, and easy to digest.
I personally am not a fan of romantic t*d*d*ku for a very specific reason; it feels weird to me for Todo to immediately fall in love with the first person who's ever shown him kindness (since his mother of course). Todo had never had any friends, nor any want for friends, obviously because of the abuse he faced as a child. Mido was his first exploration at a life outside of his father, a life he got to make for himself, it just doesn't feel right to me that he should immediately think "oh, is this romantic love? Is this the one and only for me?" Well, perhaps a teenager might think that way, but i don't think that's actually how he feels deep down, and I'm sure that's something a lot of us have to learn as we grow (I've definitely struggled with my own understanding of romance for the past 8 years). I think he still is trying to learn how to socialize and to make friends and to be a friend (and he's doing SUCH a good job!) But to immediately plunge into romance, which can be complicated, i don't think that would be right for him. I hope that makes sense! I know they're a very cute ship, which makes for fun! But again, I can be a little serious when i ship...
K*r*b*ku kind of falls into similar territory for me? Baku definitely had friends growing up, but he's seemed to always have trouble understanding his feelings and where he stands with others, causing trust issues. Kiri is really the first person he knew where he stood with, a person for him to be comfortable with and feel on equal ground, which i think is such a huge and positive role in his life, and i don't necessarily think that it needs to be romantic - for both of these, i think these relationships are incredibly important, to everyone involved, and making them romantic doesn't make them any more important!! In fact, i feel like them as friends actually can offer a more complex, interesting, and human dynamic between these characters, as sometimes people simply default to romance and then end up pushing for the same old tropes and ignore all the intricacies Horikoshi includes in his writing.
Again, I love Mido's friendship with Todo, and I love Baku's friendship with Kiri. I think these relationships are incredibly important, and friends are incredibly important. People who ship them are having fun, which is so lovely, and i hope they continue to have fun! I hope you personally find more fics about them that make you smile and brighten your day 💖💖💖
Iz**ch*ka is a little difficult, because they certainly are cute, separately and together. I thought they were cutest before Ura was told about her potential crush on Mido, when she was simply a source of bubbly energy and positivity that helped Mido open up and feel comfortable around other people. I feel though that, romantically, it's extraordinarily one-sided, and at this point, i have to wonder if they really are "end goal." End goal for shounen, of course, is hardly ever explicit ahzovndlfjsoxo but i feel like a better storyline for Horikoshi to take would be for Ura to realize that she's been confused, and these feelings haven't really been a positive experience for her. I've definitely gone through things like that as a teenager. Now, the ship can be very cute! They're basically the same person, and they're cute and bubbly! But again, it simply isn't for me.
I think Momjirou is very cute!! Of course, as a lesbian, i sense strong lesbian vibes from Momo, and strong bi vibes from Jirou, and I also saw the ship potential ever since the USJ attack - which i think, so did everyone else ahaovndofjsojfsk they're best friends without a doubt, though i have to say, i really like Kamijirou. She just makes him so soft, and he's so in awe of her, and she thinks he's so funny, I love how supportive he is of her, especially since she can be really insecure 🥺🥺🥺
I also think Ura and Tsu are very cute but another easy ship, and i kind of really like Ochamina 🥺 they're both pink and space themed, they're bubbly and energetic and kick ass, and i think they'd be super cute...
I saved todobaku for last, because, you know what they say, best for last! 😇😇😇
I've said it before, but if there was no Mido (impossible obviously, and i would never want that) then todobaku is where my heart would lie. Baku has never really been shown chasing after anyone except for Mido...and Todo, which really gets at my heart. There's a grudging respect there - very, very grudging ahakckdkfjskdk which i find very appealing! Todo is very important to Baku and he has also been able to show Baku some things about himself that he needed to question and reevaluate. Meanwhile, Todo puts up with exactly 0% of Baku's shit, which i find absolutely hilarious. It's funny to me how Baku wishes to intimidate Todo as he does everyone else, and Todo simply does not care. And Baku wants to be mad, and ends up mad that he can't be mad since Todo is a strong and worthy opponent. They just have such an interesting chemistry, there's so much friction, so much tension, and I enjoy it, particularly since they clearly should be friends, would be great friends, want to be friends, but Baku simply won't get over it 😂😂 I do prefer them as friends, but friends that are incredibly close, two people that understand each other on almost a telepathic level, two people that give each other shit while also refusing to take the other's shit.
I do agree that many people in this fandom seem to think their ship stands on some moral high ground? It could be a disconnect from the previous generations of fandom, or it could also be the growing mentality on this site that everything needs to be a battle of moral superiority, and also that what you like is part of your personality, and if someone doesn't like what you like, then they don't like you or that they think you're factually incorrect. I personally have stopped going into the bn/ha tag simply because I don't enjoy, well, many things i find there, and I'm happy with those that i follow. I've definitely seen hatred and invalidation for both LGBT ships and m|w ships, neither of which I'm comfortable with. I definitely don't go off tumblr for fandom stuff because there's practically no acceptance for any same gender ships, or any queer headcanoning, which, I'll be honest, makes me scared, as i am a very anxious person avdkvndkfje i do think it should be noted that we should be as accepting of cishet ships as we are of queer ships - no debate on this one - but again, you are right when you say that many cishet headcanons have been used to invalidate LGBT voices, and any and all allies must always be aware of this! It is much more often that queer voices are silenced, that queer ships are ridiculed, that queer shippers aren't allowed to enjoy or see themselves. And to anybody that doesn't want to be an ally... Whelp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what are you doing here ajxkvmdogjdicjsicjsodj I'm gay
I haven't really read much of anything recently, let alone other ships, platonic or otherwise, because energy has been low for me for a long time. I wish i could participate more and support all my friends and other fans, but it's been a bit of a struggle 😣😣😣 I'm so sorry! Something that I can do is make posts and analyses and metas, as those are quick and make me excited, so I'm always happy to respond to asks like these! (I say as i take two hours to write this response...)
I hope people have been taking care of themselves and remember that tumblr is really good at letting you cater to your own interests! I hope if you've made it to the end of this response that you enjoyed it, and you're not mad at me ahsovjekgjsocjwodkso if you are, that's fine, I'm sorry, I probably am really bad at social/internet etiquette and such that help you filter 😣😣
To any who are curious, you cannot change my mind ahdogmdocjdidk thank you to whoever sent this ask!!! A lot of this is a bunch of rambling I've always wanted to talk about but was frankly too scared to post! I hope I made sense and answered everything you were asking!! Please have a good day/night/life!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

parker and amy
Who said “I love you” first
Amy did but it wasn't in a happy moment. It was her trying to end things with him because she realized that she was in too deep. That she was going to want something with him that she could never have. A future. Of course Parker would never let her go easily so she said the one truth that she knew would scare him enough. That she loved him, fully believing he was never going to back.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
Neither would have it as a background. Parker has this one photo of them in bed together that Amy threatened him to delete. He pretended to but never did. It's the only picture of him and a girl that he keeps just to look at and is a comfort to him.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
She wouldn't leave a note on the mirror or anywhere that someone else could come across but she would leave little notes where he would only find them. She is a little nervous that he will think it's stupid or cheesy but he catches her later that day and kisses her for it so she makes a habit of it.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
When it comes to the cheesy things Amy is the guilty one. Sometimes she forgets how he didn't have the normal childhood so she'll bring in little treats she had as a kid that they had a conversation about. He doesn't think they are very good most of the time and she just says he is a snob. Parker will sometimes buy something expensive for her and they get in arguments because she will in no way accept them.
Who initiated the first kiss
Parker did or nothing would have ever happened. He wanted to kiss her basically since she started working for the family but he waited until he was sure that she absolutely felt the attraction too and it was obvious when he had her behind the shed outside that neither could deny the chemistry between them.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
Amy learned the hard way not to surprise Parker in the morning. When she went to do just that she found another girl in his bed. It upset her more than she wanted to admit as she has never done the casual thing and Parker has a way of making her forget that it isn't just them when she is wrapped up in him.
Who starts tickle fights
It's Parker because he knows how easily it can make her laugh and go crazy. She tells him that he has to stop because someone will hear her and he gets all smug saying that she didn't seem to care about being heard earlier which results in a smack.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
No one asks as much as Parker pulls her in. She scolds him because she still has her uniform on but she doesn't leave. Instead letting him have his way. It's filled with laughter and kisses and he's not used to that. Having sex be fun in a sweet way.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Considering she works at his house, he tries to get her to take her lunch break with him. Tends to work most of the time as she is terrible at saying no to him.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
Amy was nervous for a lot of reasons. The fact that she could get in trouble if his parents found out and get fired. Nervous because Parker is just completely the opposite of anyone that she would get involved with. And because the only other person she has ever gone on a date with is her late husband. But after the first half of the date that feeling leaves and it just feels good to be out with him like any normal couple gets to be.
Who kills/takes out the spiders
Since she has to clean the whole estate I can imagine she is the one that always comes across them so it isn't even anything he deals with.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
Not sure that love would ever be used but if they are on a break I see him getting drunk or high and going to her place in the middle of the night and causing a scene because he doesn't want them to be over. Amy can't take anything he says seriously but lets him stay the night because she doesn't want him out when like this. She only has him sleep in her room so that her daughter doesn't wake up to find him, but that results in a much softer moment in him confessing there is more for him too and it kills her because they really still can't have a future.
