📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend? Aaaargh, you know that I forget any opinion I've ever held the second anyone asks me for one! There's so many incredibly talented ppl in this fandom, and so many fantastic fics, how am I to choose one??? Here's some I've read and loved recently:

hunter's moon by mourningshowers: a very intriguing werewolf AU with a cool, unique spin on pack dynamics, and stunning prose - the descriptions of ppl's scents in particular stuck with me, they're so vivid and evocative! butter, sugar, and northern mockingbirds by @thefreakandthehair: the most perfectest, soft, mushy, sweet bakery AU. If you're in need of a fic that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy and happy inside, this is a definite rec! Never coming down (with your hand in mine) by @eyesofshinigami: the latest instalment in their omega!Eddie series, which I adore. If you're into a/b/o and omega Eddie, give this one a read!

🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?

Some things that work for me, personally:

Just write! I sit myself down, set a word count (100 words, 200 words, doesn't matter, it's about getting started) and don't get up or hop on socials before I have written that word count down. Maybe I'll find my flow and keep going, maybe I'll think it's garbage and leave it for the day. I never delete what I wrote, even if I hate it. Instead, I come back a day or two later and look it over with a fresh pair of eyes. Most of the time, I'll realize that it doesn't suck as bad as I thought it did.

Write something small! If my large WIPs seem too daunting atm, I'll try a microfic or drabble - something small and relatively low effort. Those also have the added bonus that I can yeet them out immediately after they're done, and the reactions I get usually give me the serotonin boost I need and motivate me to write more. (Bc I'm an attention whore like that! XD)

Let the brain run idle! I take a walk. I craft or doodle something. I play with my kid. I watch a movie or go out with friends. The main thing is, I don't write. I try to not even think of writing. That's often when my best ideas hit me out of nowhere.

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

I am blessed enough to have a bunch of incredibly talented mutuals who have made so much wonderful, gorgeous, incredible art of my work. I look at it daily, it makes me feel so incredibly loved and cherished. I couldn't wish for more! That being said, if someone asked me, I'd probably pick for a scene from Someone who cares because that's my oldest fic (my baby, my firstborn, etc.) and it doesn't have any art yet.

Also its very clear how much he’s changed like of all the characters in the show i would argue his redemption arc was the most effective. He was shown to be golden boy, super respectful of chain of command and a stickler for rules. So for him to go out of his way to disobey direct orders, break the rules, and not only put his life on the line but the lives of 3 others and possibly more to sneak Hunk to see his family, is actually like insane. Even if you disregard my jaith headcanons, the fact he would do that for hunk (and by extension, keith) is more than enough of a redemption arc imo.

I am so glad that I’m not the only one who is pissed off with the Carlos fans. I literally have been so afraid to speak out about it because they are literally crazy. I’m sorry but that pap walk was ridiculous. I’ve been sick so I’m not firing on all cylinders but when those pics dropped I was SO confused. The body angles, the smiles, the matching shoes. It felt like a fever dream and could have been bc I had a fever. And then thankfully you posted all of the articles about it being a sponsored pap walk and I’m like…oh! That’s why this one was extra weird.

I’m in the industry and get how these things work, but could either of them act like they didn’t know where the camera was? Even ppl outside the fandom thought it looked staged and cheesy. I’m sorry but Kaia never doesn’t cheapen Austin’s brand.

PS- Just scrolled through Reddit’s pop culture sub and someone well intending posted 20 pics of Kaia’s modeling career and 85%+ of the comments are saying she’s pretty but not a good model and how boring she is. Yeah girl those photos are the most staged pictures i've ever seen. Not only was that for sure paid for by Birkenstock, and not only was it to show off to the public that they're seemingly fine and dandy right after the news of Vanessa's wedding dropped, but the restaurant they were leaving for lunch was one of Rande Gerber's. The PR machine runs yet again.

I thought the same, that the angles of those photos was just too fucking much. It was as if the photographer was kneeling on the ground and he shot the lens upwards. Like...what is this, a photoshoot for a magazine spread in Vogue or what? lol. Poor Austin's plastered on fake smile was cringe, and her smug ass face was really the cherry on top of the PR Pie. What's very interesting is a lot of people who i think normally are shippers could see that those pictures were staged. You'd have to have the brain of a goldfish to not see that.

Thank you as well for the validation! I think a lot of us can see that she is just not a good model. There are so many in the industry who are more talented than her at walking, or posing, but yet just because she came out of Cindy Crawford's womb that entitles her to getting everything handed to her and her not putting in any effort at all. WOAH. this takes me way back

I just want to preface this that I was 12-13 in this era. Like I really was just a really lonely stupid kid, and I was struggling with coming out in middle school and feeling isolated and lonely. so I saw a gif of an asshole with a bad haircut and I was like he’s mine now. I really loved him for many years. I can’t explain it.

I shaved half my head at 13. yeah. I also have one of the most comprehensive tags of his band days from 2004-2007 and half the time idk what to do with all those images bc someone might want them one day? again idek

aside from that the “edm” fandom was awful. Real people shipping and fights over it. Rampant misogyny. People actually hated Ellie Goulding for simply dating a few of the guys. At age 13 I snarkily posted that there seemed to only be white men that ppl obsessed over and I got accused of racefaking.

the whole thing came to a head when skrillex teamed up with diplo. I always got really bad vibes off that fucker, and then suddenly they’re releasing bad pop music with Justin Bieber and objectifying women. I got into several fights, bc no one wanted to admit that diplo was actively not a good role model to a bunch of fucking tweens. I feel so bad for all of us, bc we were just dumb kids. So one day I changed my URL and settings to make it hard to find my blog and never looked back. Since then I was a Star Wars blog, a marvel blog, x men blog, batfam blog then braime and finally the sexy talented vertigo girly you all know! (I’ve had many cringe phases)

I actually fully stopped listening to skrillex cold turkey in 2021 bc I no longer recognized him. He had gotten much older, grosser, started hanging around Jordan Peterson and was starting to be weird about women. so I don’t miss that part of my life. I take a lot of power in the women I look up to now.

goddd this is such a difficult question bc i love a lot of different plots, and sometimes i even end up enjoying things i usually don't like??

i'm always down for anything horror!! or with ghosts!! i'm the biggest fan of ghosts.. i also love romcoms in general but i'm especially fond of?? dark-ish romcoms?? as in . when they're surprisingly angsty and the conflict is more complicated and/or fucked up than usual

as for who would write it best.. any of my lovely mutuals would do an amazing job <3 i'm vvvvv obsessed with dil's writing so they'd be my first option i think, but i always trust mil when it comes to romcoms and you when it comes to making said romcoms angstier!!

also shan would be perfect for a gorey, scary fic + i eat up absolutely everything ino and lune come up with, even when it's the nichest topics i've never heard about

but i could go on and on, really. bc i fucking adore jen and kara and lane's writing too.. etc etc. what can i say im mutuals with such talented ppl <3

i don't know how unpopular these are tbh but hmm let's see. remus and regulus would never get along, and the marauder reg would like the most is probs peter. remus is plain + weird-looking. pandora's personality is NOT the same as luna's (c'mon that mf blew herself up she was unhinged). regulus isn't as good as most ppl make him out to be, just like he isn't as bad as other ppl make him out to be (i see him as someone who was very ambivalent about blood purity and it's one of the main things that make him interesting . to me). i don't tend to include dorcas as part of the slytherins simply bc my dorcas wouldn't get along with barty + evan (mostly in a canon context) but i do think she'd be friends with reg and hang out with him and his friends occasionally. none of them would listen to taylor swift
