And the mini version of the bracelet I shared a week or so ago! This is one of my favorite patterns that I've written and I usually make it with 8mm Rounds, which is always exciting because I so rarely get to use beads that big. But this version uses 6mm Rounds and if you change the 4mm Fire-Polished beads to 3mm and the 11/0 Miyuki seed beads to 15/0's, you can get a mini version using the exact same steps! I do find it a bit more fiddly and you have to make more sections to get the same length, but it is a much lighter bracelet with the smaller stones. I really wanted to make both versions in as close to the same colors as I could so I could make a direct size comparison and add it to the pattern listing so people could see the scale. But... it does mean that I now have almost two identical bracelets in my shop, haha. Oops. All jewelry is 20% until the 5th and patterns are 25% off if you want to make your own! If I do say so myself, I think my patterns are pretty well written and easy to understand. :)

I actually had a great fucking evening, surprisingly
My sister took me to a trail by surprise and I didn't dare to hope preemptively, but my body still works! I knew it wasn't just being fat--I knew something massive changed after having covid. This proves it to me. Like my sister said, I struggled out on the ice cave path (which was a few thousand feet even higher than I've been living). But this walk, I was finally able to walk at my own pace without worrying about the pain of breathing (until it got really really cold; I didn't expect my respiratory 'allergy' to cold to go away).
Then I proceeded to get a sporadic lecture about my horrifically poor relationship to food. I kinda deserve it; I'm the one who minded her relationship with food from afar for years, but I made no moves to improve my own. It's hard when food hurts more than it helps. Sometimes it's just easier to go hungry.
Anyway, even bigger than that, I figured my cats might have some pent up energy from being trapped in the bedroom for two weeks now, so I borrowed one of the lesser used toys from my sister's cats and my girl decided that it was hiss and growl at a fucking toy time. I hissed back at her and she stopped hissing, but she kept growling. She hasn't growled during playing with me since she was an older kitten; I'm less worried since she was her regular angelic self afterwards. Besides, she's warming right up to my sister (traitor lol), which is rather promising.
We're most likely going to at least get the shit out of the truck I think this weekend fucking finally. We're also going to have to figure out how to move her stuff. It would make the most sense just to use the truck; empty my stuff out. It'll be easier now that my respiratory system works and we aren't hauling shit up and down three floors. We did that in about a day. Do that Saturday, load her stuff Sunday. Just dump all of it more or less in whatever room is at the back of the house and figure it out from there.
I spent so much time living in such a dangerous city, I keep imagining that someone with ill intent is going to come upon the truck and just take what they want. And after how rainy it's been, I'm also concerned about water damage. We went to this gas station to see if I could use the ATM (I maxed out my withdrawal limit oops), and my sister was sketched out about it and I was like, this gas station ain't shit.
I am quite sad that I didn't get any beading done, and I wish my current work space had enough space to bead in while I'm at work. I could make insane progress on this piece. Next paycheck, I really need to get a chair. Like I left myself no choice. I think I'll start by getting the gaming chair; then I'll get the kneeling chair later. Thank gawd I threw out that old chair. It really did have to go.
I also can't wait to be in a space where my sister's cats can be disallowed and I can worm on my work. I've got like five thousand ideas for these seed bead plushies. After Eeyore, I want to make a Catbus, Jiji, and Luna and Artemis, and hey, since I'm collecting animated cats, let's get the Cheshire Cat from the Disney animation. I'm going to make my own Kanga and Roo patterns; Stitch and Scrump, and Cheshire Cat. I also want to make a seed bead BJD a la oksana_somati. So. Let's see how far I get on this before something else takes my attention (probably my depression, like I've conjectured before).
This beadweaving thing is something from my childhood fantasies. I always wanted to figure out how to make cool things with seed beads. I've wanted to make my own plushies for the longest time as well.
I need to acquire a decent tool that emits heat. I'm going to shrink wrap my sculptures and cut the wrap off to get the shapes for the plushies I'm going to design.

The Science Behind Superduo Beads: Understanding Symmetry and Structural Stability
Superduo beads have taken the world of beadwork by storm with their distinctive shape and versatility, providing endless design possibilities and adding an extra dimension to jewelry and accessory creations. While Superduo may appear simple at first glance, there's actually an intricacy of science behind their symmetrical structure and structural stability - we will explore that aspect here as we uncover their remarkable characteristics!
Source: https://www.finestbeads.com/product/2978.html
1) Symmetry in Superduo Beads:
One of the defining characteristics of superduo beads is their symmetrical shapes. Every bead is precisely manufactured to achieve perfect symmetry, which enables balanced and uniform designs - ideal for intricate beadwork patterns and geometric arrangements. Superduo beads offer consistent sizes, hole placement, and overall appearance for precise beadwork designs that call for consistency between size, hole placement, and overall appearance - perfect for creating intricate beadwork patterns and designs that require consistency throughout.
2) Structural Stability:
Superduo beads are designed with structural stability in mind. Their slightly curved profiles add strength and stability to their structures while interlocking mechanisms help the beads interlock when strung together to form secure beadwork structures. Furthermore, their symmetrical shapes and interlocking mechanisms prevent any shifting or rotating that might compromise finished pieces, thus guaranteeing their integrity and longevity.
3) Uniformity and Consistency:
Superduo beads' science extends to their uniformity and consistency. Manufacturing processes ensure each bead is produced to exacting standards, leading to beads that are uniform in terms of size, shape, and hole placement - an invaluable feature when it comes to beadwork projects with professional finishes. Beaders can rely on superduo beads' uniformity for precise bead alignment with consistent tension throughout their designs.
4) Beadweaving Techniques:
Superduo beads' symmetrical structure and structural stability make them highly compatible with various bead-weaving techniques, particularly two-hole designs, which enable more complex patterns and increase design flexibility. Peyote stitch, right-angle weave, and herringbone stitch bead-weaving stitches can easily incorporate superduo beads. Their precise symmetry and stability help thread paths move smoothly to produce neat beadwork that looks visually pleasing.
5) Complementary Bead Shapes:
Superduo beads display an exceptional level of compatibility with other bead shapes. Their symmetrical form and even hole placement make them great companions for other two-hole beads enabling intricate patterns, textures, and structural designs. Furthermore, this compatibility expands the possibilities for beadwork projects, further allowing creative expression through artistic endeavors.
Conclusion
Superduo beads have long been studied for their symmetrical structure, structural stability, and compatibility with various bead weaving techniques. Understanding the intricacies of these beads allows jewelry makers and beaders to fully take advantage of them and incorporate them seamlessly into their designs. Their symmetrical shape and precise manufacturing ensure consistent sizes, hole placements, and overall appearances of Superduo beads - an asset for jewelry-makers and beaders. Superduo beads provide an impressive foundation for intricate beadwork projects thanks to their structural stability and interlocking mechanism. By taking advantage of this science-backed product, you can explore all sorts of design possibilities to craft stunning, symmetrical pieces sure to leave a lasting impression.

Much better 😁 Do we think this pattern is worth a full bracelet length? Based on this week’s palette challenge, lotus flowers and foliage, but I have to say that it keeps reminding me of apples 😁 #nuttybeads #peyotestitch #beadweaving #beading #nuttypalette (at Adelaide, South Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Co03dv2vpTp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Finally back to listing jewelry after I lost some steam again, haha. I have so many finished pieces laying around, but man, I really hate writing Etsy listings more than anything.
This bracelet was hand-stitched using one of my original beadweaving patterns, the Demoiselle bracelet, which I have a tutorial available for any beadweavers who want to make their own! I particularly like this pattern because its pretty customizable. You can use 6mm cabochons for the centers like I did hear, but honeycomb beads or discduo beads will also work. And you can sub out the 3mm fire-polished and druk beads for anything that same size.
I love these kinds of colors year round, but they feel particularly lovely in mid-october :)

For just $5.00 This lovely piece is very versatile and stunning! Use it for earrings, cell phone charms, even make one out of large beads for a wonderful pendant that is sure to turn heads. I would consider it an Intermediate level piece, but feel free to experiment no matter what your level. It also helps if you have experience with the right-angle weave, but it is not necessary. I will send you a 12-page, 38-step PDF filled with high-definition photographs and text descriptions to help you! The file size is less than 3MB (there are a lot of photographs in this file, and it may take a while to download). I will email it to your PayPal address within 48 hours of received payment (but it will not always take that long, just as a formality, in case I can't get to the computer for some reason) This is my first tutorial, so feel free to contact me with any feedback and suggestions as to what I can to to improve it! Thank you so much! On the serious note: You MAY NOT take this tutorial, in part or whole, and re-sell it as your own. You MAY, however, sell whatever you make from this tutorial as you see fit. And, you MAY ALSO use this tutorial to assist you with teaching classes, as long as you give credit to the author. Thank you so much for your understanding and happy beading!! -Odin

Desert Star necklace. This substantial necklace was inspired by traditional turquoise and silver jewellery of the Navajo and other indigenous people of the Southwestern USA. This is definitely what you’d call a “statement necklace” and I actually think it’s a bit heavy for my personal style. Maybe this one will be for sale one day, let me know if you’re interested! Techniques and materials: Rings made with beadweaving and connected afterwards, pattern based on Thai beadwork, chalk turquoise round beads, silver lined glass seed beads, nylon thread, silver plated clasp

Finally trying to write a beadweaving pattern, since I haven’t published one since November and it involves writing “exiting” a lot (ex. Your working thread should be exiting such and such bead). But my brain ALWAYS flags it as a misspelled word because it thinks I’m misspelling “exciting” and WHERE is my mental “add to dictionary” button because the constant second-guessing of an EASILY SPELLED word is breaking my speed!
#ok gotta get off tumblr and start focusing or i'm going to lose this motivation#but this is killing me

I'm finally done! I decided this piece is called Dust and Bone. It took A WHILE to get this done, partially because I decided to remake one of the wings after learning how to make it better. It probably doesn't help that I have so many other projects going on at once, either! . . . One of the things that unfortunately doesn't come across well in photo or video is the pretty sheen and luster on these beads. They're quite lovely! . . . I'll be putting this piece up on my store soon, along with some other pieces I'm working on! . . . Photography spree for some recent projects and old ones that needed better pictures.
Midnight Star Pendant Lariat - one of my favorite patterns ever, this one is the seventh version I've made, my design of the pendant back and the star baubles below.
Double Spiral Necklace - I forgot how quick and easy this pattern is, so I'm probably going to put out some more color palettes of it. May even experiment with a pendant or something.
Netted Collar of Coral and Cream - made this to match a dress I don't have anymore, but it's still a pretty color combination.
Crystal and Pearl Bracelet - this is one of the oldest pieces I still have that hasn't been given or sold away, but I still think it's pretty.
Ribbon Lace Bracelet - this bracelet works up to be so delicate and light, but it still has so much visual strength to it. I made this one to match a specific shirt I bought recently, though I did not match the colors as well as a wish I had.
Peanut Bangle - so named for the funny-shaped beads that give this bracelet it's structure. This beast was a trial to make and took two attempts (after the first try sat in time-out for MONTHS before I could bear to tear it apart, sort the beads, and start over) but I'm proud of it.
Rhapsody Bracelet - I'm pretty sure this is the first pattern I ever made after learning what beadweaving is. So striking; I need to make this pattern again.
