A little writing for Boots x Leona - Beans

After a full day of filming for the Film clubs newest short movie, Boots snuck his way back into Savannaclaw dorm. He hid in the shadows, covering his face and slinking all the way into the housewarden's room. Without turning any lights on, he went to the en-suite and turned on the tap.

Soon after, the crisp click of a switch was heard, as the bathroom light lit up. Boots turned around, water in his hands and his face soaked. 

Leona stood in the entrance with his hand over the power point. He was confused, but not surprised. 

Boots turned back to the sink bowl. “Hi Leona!” He echoed, cupping another handful of water and splashing it on his face. 

Leona came closer to see what he was doing, as Boots rubbed vigorously at his face. Leona leaned over, making eye contact with Boots, who quickly and unsubtly turned his head away again, wiping at his cheek.

“What are you doing?” Leona asked.

Boots chuckled nervously. “Wiping off my makeup from the film club today.”

“Why in my room?” Leona questioned him pointedly.

“Cuz,” Boots stared, grabbing a hand towel, “it’s embarrassing.” He said. “I’m hiding.”

He met Leona’s eyes, the latter getting caught in his friend's gaze. 

The moment was broken when Boots returned to scrubbing his face with the towel.

Leona stared at his feet before speaking. “...Do I make you feel like it’s embarrassing?”

Boots gave pause before answering. He lowered the towel and looked at Leona strangely. “...No?”

Leona blinked, shaking his head before replying. “Whatever.” He said, swiftly walking away, a few feet to lie on his bed. Boots attempted to ponder his words, but gave up with a shrug and continued cleaning his face.

I have seen ‘Sharpe’ twice now
