I’ve been thinking about how I have a massive fear of being home alone like huge fear and then I remember my mum has just left the house after arguments and fights without any warning and she would just leave for half an hour then come back like nothing happened.

Now I have this Hc of Steve somehow knowing how to read lips and there really isn’t a reason why he just does. Maybe it’s because he’s on the verge of losing his hearing so he might as well learn how to do it right? Eddie notices that whenever someone is mumbling, meaning that what they’re saying is barely audible, Steve always knows exactly what they’re saying. Eddie has caught on to Steve always looking at his lips when he wants to say something under his breath and it’s not the most pleasant thing he can say out loud. Steve finds it cute how flustered Eddie gets when he’s frustrated and he can make out all the faint little rants to himself. One day, Eddie is caught off guard when Steve is basically just staring at his lips even though there really wasn’t a reason to. That give Steve a chance to admit that half the time he’s looking at Eddie’s lips for a different reason leaving Eddie very confused.

And then, of course, there’s the comments agreeing or doubling down on how the person was ‘doing too much’ etc. God fucking forbid someone asks for something with some specifics, never mind what dietary needs they might have. Never mind that cream and sugar offer actual calories vs black coffee.

Tubbo and Pac like putting random stuff into potions to ‘see what happens’ and then chug them down, which generally leads to suffering or a strew of other things. Sadly Fit is very adamantly against doing it no matter how much Tubbo pleads for him just to take a sip, and instead tries to convince them not to drink their weird probably dangerous concoctions due to their past failures.

But the one time Pac asks him, he just stutters a bit before going ‘ughh fine just this once’ and then Pac offers him the other half of his bottle. Which he just drunk from… and put his lips on, so Fit turned a bit red. He is weak to Pac and even an indirect kiss is a lot for him to handle; if it was anyone else he’d make a joke about it, but not Pac he just turns bright red instead. He’d drink it with them, and then they all experience the universe and life itself 👍 and definitely nothing goes wrong and no one find them lying on the side of the road like road kill.

Semi vent below but more of a stream-of-consciousness question/kind of emotional ramble

Genuine question: how do you become not completely apathetic about life if you’re legitimately too tired to enjoy it or really do much? I’ve got chronic fatigue (I don’t know the cause yet) as well as chronic mental health issues that are usually moderate to severe (the most relevant ones for this post would be depression and ADHD), and that can make it very hard to want to exist, if you get what I mean. I feel that way with just mental illness a lot, but when I’m struggling to take care of myself not just because of depression but also because of chronic fatigue, I want to be here even less.

I’m at an age where I’m about to finish college and begin applying to masters programs—which I want to do because I love learning—but it’s so hard to have any long term goals that I’m excited about because the thought of having a job just sounds so exhausting. I don’t know how I’ll handle a 9am-5pm job if I can barely handle 3-6 hours of classes a day.

If anyone here can offer a shred of insight on the whole “managing life/staying hopeful with debilitating fatigue” thing, that would be appreciated. I have so much shame around how hard it is to do things that are easy for other people, and I want to know that my future is worth looking forward to—which I guess no one can predict, but still. I’m scared that feeling exhausted all the time is all I have to look forward to forever and ever.
