You knew this was a mistake the moment you caught his eye.
Chrollo Lucilfer was the type of man who commanded attention. He's dark, unreadable, and dangerous. You'd been warned by friends, by acquaintances, by common sense to steer clear of him. None of them knew that he was the leader of the Phantom troupe, but they could tell that something was up with him.
You, on the other hand, knew very well who he was. He had made it loud and clear that should you ever leave or do anything rash, Chrollo was in a position to threaten you with all he could do. Every time being on duty with him, fear always boiled up inside your stomach.
But the fear that was evident within you, there was just something so irresistible about him, something that couldn't make you stay away no matter how much you did. Chrollo's presence causes your heart to beat in ways that it really shouldn't. You, however, because of his reputation, are to be kept from him.
But standing now in this darkened room, boxed in by his stare, one knew there was no more escaping Chrollo.
Not anymore.
"I know what you're thinking," his voice is like silk. "You're afraid of me, you think you can keep your distance because of what you've heard. But you forget one thing."
He leans in closer, each movement intentional. His dark eyes never left yours, staring with an intensity that would make you want to shrink under his gaze, at the same time you wouldn't be able to look away.
"You want me, too."
Your breath had caught in your throat. How could he know? You'd tried so hard to conceal it, to deny the pull you felt whenever you were near him. It was wrong, all wrong. But his tone made it sound as though you had no say in the matter.
"Chrollo, I... I can't." Your voice less than a whisper. "You're dangerous. I don't want to get involved in. whatever this is. whatever you do."
He reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from your face, and the touch sent your heart racing even faster. You suck in the air shakily while your lip trembled softly.
"I know that's hard to accept," he whispered, almost softly. "But I've made my decision already. You are mine. "
There was a finality in his words that dropped the bottom of your stomach into a sick feeling. This wasn't a silly love confession, this... this was more like he was claiming you. And much as you tried to deny it, the thought stirred something within you.
"Chrollo, I... I am not." You had managed to stammer out the words while a hot fire had burned in your cheeks.
How would you even explain that you have never been with anybody in your life? That part of you does want him, but the fear of his world and your inexperience holds you back? You have never done a relationship in your life, never kissed anyone, never touched anyone, never had sex.
His fingers tilted your chin up, forcing you to meet his gaze once more. Something... changed in his gaze.
"You're scared of what you don't know," he whispered. "That's okay. I can be patient. But don't you ever think otherwise. I will have you. Every piece of you."
His hand slid down, stroking your jawline, and a chill ran down your body. There was no hesitation in his touch, no doubt in his claim over you. It was terrifying and yet you enjoyed it.
"You can run from me if you want," he said, continuing now in a voice so much lower it terrified you. "But I'll find you. Always get what I want."
Your chest constricted as Chrollo left you no choice. He made it clear no matter what you did, he would find you and when he did. he would take you in every sense of the word.
"I. I don't want to be a part of your world," you finally stammered out, beyond your shaking lips. "I can't."
He chuckled low and it was a shiver you felt run over your skin under his touch. "It doesn't matter. You're already a part of it. The moment I laid eyes on you, it was over. For both of us."
You opened your mouth to protest, but the words died in your throat as he leaned in, his lips caressing the shell of your ear.
"Accept it, love," he whispered. "You can't get away from me. Not now, not ever."
"N-"
Chrollo cut you off, his lips trailing up your neck, his voice low, humming against your skin. "You don't struggle against me. I'm going to take care of you. No one else can have you now. Can't you see? You're already mine, and nothing you say will change that."
His breathing was hot against your skin, the weakness rising inside you as the fear coiled in your body. But despite that, despite all you knew of him, the fact that he wanted you with such intent sent your heart racing within your chest.
Honestly, could you resist?
He drew back just enough to look into your eyes, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. He knew. Your gaze betrayed your thoughts, and he noticed, of course he fucking noticed.
"You're mine," he leans down, his warm breath dancing across your ear as your hands clench into fists against his black suit, trembling. "And I will make sure you never forget it."
Do not copy, steal, modify, etc.
Relogs and like are appreciated.

Jegulus angst Drabble
A/N: as is my pattern, I wrote angst because I like hitting my own feelings. This was not edited, and you can blame Pinterest for the sad dialogue prompts.
word count: 633
“Hey hey, shh, shhh, you’re okay, you did so well. You’re okay.” James' voice shook as he brought his hands up to tangle in bloodied curls. His whole world was collapsing around him and the only thing that he could do was watch.
“I-, I– I didn’t try to, Jamie, I promise” Regulus’s voice was getting weaker and his breaths were getting shakier and shakier. It was hard to imagine that only a few minutes ago Regulus was alive enough to yell at James. To tell him how stupid this plan was, to call him an insufferable twat, and to remind him to be careful. It was a terrifying situation but the only thing that really scared Regulus was the idea that James wouldn’t make it out.
As it turns out, Regulus’s fear wasn’t unfounded. In fact, it was pretty well founded, if the curse that he was hit with when he shielded James was any indication. He wasn’t sure what kind of spell it was, or what the counter spell was, but he was suddenly aware of a hundred large and small cuts littering his body and letting his lifeblood fall to the cold ground below. He was also, mercifully, aware of his head in James’s lap and James’s hands carding through his bloody hair. Not as mercifully, he was also aware of James’s tears falling on his face and the little tremors that rocked his body as he sobbed and tried to comfort Regulus.
“You’re okay, you’re okay, you’re okay- someone is gonna help you, it's okay love.” James’s voice was cracking with the effort to not break off into loud sobs. His hands were now just resting in Regulus’s curls and one hand was holding his face, leaving a bloody streak when he went to move it.
“I love you, mon soleil.” Regulus wasn’t strong enough to hold on, and he knew that. He knew that James knew it as well. He figured that leaving the world like this, in the arms of the man that he loved, was the best death he could have hoped for. Before James, Regulus’s life was cold, and he knew that his death would be as well. All he could feel now was the warmth of James’s hands on his face, and his gaze on his skin. James was the sun, and Regulus was just a star. Stars die out all the time and the earth keeps spinning, the universe keeps moving forward. He didn’t regret that he saved his sun. He knew that James had much to achieve, a war to win, and a long life to live. Regulus was glad that he would be the reason that his sun got to keep shining. Regulus was glad that his life amounted to something. Regulus was glad that he was loved. He knew that it was going to all end soon, he could feel himself getting colder and it didn’t hurt anymore. “Kiss me.” It was an effort to push the words past his lips but he did his best and he knew that James understood when he began to lean down.
James’s tears got onto his lips and Regulus licked them away gratefully. It was one more piece of James to take with him. One more piece to prove that it was all real. James's lips met his own, a soft pressure, not unlike their first kiss.It was everything that Regulus would miss. Everything that Regulus knew that he would wait a million lifetimes to get again.
James stayed leaning over Regulus, his warm lips pressed to cold ones, lifeless ones, for several seconds, maybe minutes, his brain wasn’t keeping track of anything anymore. When he pulled away, Regulus was still. His star was gone, and along with him went James’s heart.

Bed, Beignets, Birthdays, and Other B Things Sam Wilson Likes
Happy birthday, Cap! 🎉 // AO3 Link 🛏🥐🎂
Sam’s arm fell to the other side of the bed and landed on a warm chest instead of cool sheets. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before turning over and sneaking a glance at the man next to him. Scared, just for a moment, that this might slip away if he actually looked.
Bucky was already awake, but he was still sleep rumpled, impression lines crossing his face and chest, hair a mess. Sam wondered if he could convince him to cut it now. Surely he was more susceptible to the idea when it was all tangled in the morning. Then again, Sam figured if the whole ‘your secret identity will be harder to figure out if you cut off your trademark mane’ hadn’t worked, he didn’t think a few knots would either.
“You stayed,” he yawned and stretched his arms into Bucky’s space.
Bucky’s fingers fell across one of Sam’s hands, traced over the lines of his metacarpals lightly. “It’s your birthday,” he said simply. “Thought I should at least buy you breakfast. Give you a day off.”
Sam smiled at the idea. Not hunting down rogue bases and ghost stories was fine by him. It seemed like a lovely day outside. The seasons were actually turning here and there was a crispness he could feel even without opening the window. It made him press closer to Bucky’s chest, hiding his head under Bucky’s jaw. Bucky’s arms went around him, his left arm slow in caution and also because he was laying on it.
“Maybe I like chasing you down,” Sam suggested.
“You like pastries more,” Bucky pointed out. And that was true. Food in general, but breakfast desserts were a favorite. And they were in Paris of all places. Sam really could not envision a better day.
“You got any other plans for the day?” Sam asked. “Or are you gonna disappear as soon as I turn my back on you outside?”
“I don’t plan on letting you outside,” Bucky admitted. “My plans involved getting you in the shower and then back in this bed. Everything else can be ordered in.”
Sam hummed. That did sound like a really good plan. “Can I open the window?”
“We’re on a fourth floor, so I don’t think that many people will be able to hear you. Go for it.”
Sam lifted his head enough to watch Bucky’s face until it broke into a grin. “Oh, that kind of day in bed, huh?” he asked.
Bucky’s fingers moved up Sam’s back. “That kind of day in bed,” he agreed and turned onto his back, pulling Sam over him as he went. His fingers went back to tracing Sam’s spine and Sam tried not to shiver with it. He didn’t succeed.
“If you were gonna ask for something today, what would it be?” Bucky asked.
Sam raised an eyebrow and took his own turn to brush his fingers over Bucky’s chest–the line of hair traveling down his pecs, a birthmark against his ribs, a scar under his collarbone, which Sam weirdly had a matching one to. They’d both gotten them when they were kids, lifetimes before they knew each other or had any shared life experience. Except, Sam supposed, falling out of a tree and hitting every branch on the way down.
“Use pet names today,” he decided. “Don’t call me Wilson.”
“What about–”
“Sam and all your terrible variations are fine,” Sam added.
Bucky grinned up at him. “Alright, doll,” he agreed. “That one’s easy enough to give you.” He sat up so they were shoulder to shoulder, chest to chest, hip to hip. It made Sam light-headed and he tilted forward to catch Bucky’s mouth on his and also steady himself.
Bucky kissed like he thought it was the last thing he was going to do. Sam refused to consider the legitimacy of that fear. Bucky was intense and excited. Sometimes it felt like running into a brick wall and sometimes he opened up like an endless expanse of soft lips and searching hands. Sometimes the brick wall came down between them, and then tilted forward for extra kisses, with a hand on Sam’s chest, pushing him back.
“Wait, wait,” Bucky panted and then took another three kisses. “Shower first,” he encouraged. “I have a plan for today.”
“What about food?” Sam asked.
Bucky grinned at him and it made Sam’s stomach turn over in the most desirable way. “Well, I’m gonna eat,” he said oh-so innocently. “But I don’t know how long it’s gonna take, so I figured we could order in later.”
Sam was nodding before Bucky even finished talking. “Yeah, alright,” he agreed, pulling Bucky into another kiss.
He was expecting it when Bucky stood and lifted him in the same motion, but it still made him go light headed all over again. He kind of loved it when Bucky did that. It made him feel young and spontaneous and it was so damn hot.
“Happy birthday, baby,” Bucky breathed against Sam’s chest, where he seemed to be trying to kiss his way to Sam’s heart.
“Yeah,” Sam agreed dazedly. “And here’s to many more.”
“Well you’ve still got to get through this one,” Bucky teased.
Sam shivered and curled his arms around the back of Bucky’s neck. He kind of thought this wouldn’t be such a bad way to go. But he was fully planning on doing this again next year.
