just watched the first part of the Beckham documentary and the parallels between David and Victoria's early relationship with that of TZ's are so??? 😭

young David and Tom: both into luxury watches and cars

David first saw Posh in a music video // Tom first saw Z in a Snapchat video

David's and Posh's managers were kinda against them being together // Amy Pascal literally told Tom and Z not to date

both couples were at the early stages of their respective superstardom when they met and fell in love

both couples tried to keep their respective relationships secret until they were caught by paps

both couples (and their families) vehemently denied the relationship at first insisting they were just "close friends"

the first pap pics that proved their relationships true were taken in front of their respective houses

LMFAO they couldn't be more different in the way they've dealt with their power couple status after they were outed, but the similarities are still so funny to me like whenever Posh and Becks' early years were discussed in the docu I was like 'wait I've HEARD this before...' i'm literally this meme the whole time:

The biggest missed opportunity with Venom Beyond + every story involving Anne-as-Venom is making her a soldier instead of leaning on the fact that she's a lawyer and a SUCCESSFUL one at that. Forget the soldier apocalypse shit, she should be in court or harassing her clients when they lie about their business practices. And by harassing I mean threatening to disembowel billionaire CEOs. And if not disembowel then at least refuse to keep them as a client.

Like iirc Anne is a corporate defense attorney. Why would you drop that idea in favor of a Symbiote Soldier Schtick that's already been done? She should be lawyering people to death. She should be kicking ass and taking names and just barely skirting the rules of law because she knows what those rules are.

She can still have problems, and issues, and trauma, and weird shit happening that affects her life and her ability to live normally but she spent YEARS working up to be a lawyer. Why would she throw that away? Because a goo alien attached itself to her? Hell no. She can have both.

Mark Lanegan’s Vaults Begin to Open

- Bubblegum XX to be “the beginning of a small series of plans” for 2024

More than two years after Mark Lanegan’s death, his vaults are opening.

Lanegan’s heirs said they found “a wealth of astonishing material” resulting in “a really special collection of recordings” that’ll be released Aug. 23 as Bubblegum XX.

The expanded 2004 album marks “the beginning of a small series of plans we have for this year,” said a statement on Lanegan’s still-active social media pages.

“Your kind words and love for Mark have been the source of much comfort in recent times, and we’re excited to be able to share with you previously unreleased material as a thank you,” it read.

The 20th-anniversary release of Bubblegum will include remasters of the original LP, its companion EP, Here Comes that Weird Chill, and B-sides; previously unreleased songs, at least one of which features Beck; and a collection of “beautiful” demos.

Poltergeist II: The Other Side will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on August 27 via Scream Factory. The 1986 horror sequel is written by Poltergeist co-scribes Mark Victor & Michael Grais.
