Hi I already said this in the ao3 comments but I genuinely cannot tell you how much I loved Goodnight, Sweet Princess. Your prose is so so good and your characterization is fantastic and. ugh. ough. You said in your notes that you're a beejhawk guy primarily but you write a fantastic Trapper (likely thing for a guy normal about Trapper to say). h. have you ever. considered beejtraphawk (likely thing for a guy whose main MASH ship is beejtraphawk to say). 👀 Proselytizing done I just needed to give you another compliment on that fic because it was phenomenal

IT'S SO FUNNY YOU BRING THAT UP because I have actually been rotating something beejtraphawk-esque for the past few days but it is... logistically complex. to say the least. so I'm hoping that if I just keep rotating it all of the logistical challenges will smooth themselves out and I won't have to sit down and actually untangle them? surely this will work. (relatedly do you know of any uhhhhhhhh show timelines that try to put the episodes in real-world order? understanding of course that this intersperses BJ/Potter and Trapper/Henry episodes but that's hopefully sort of the point)

I would love to trade!! I made a big rambling post about Jesse here because I've gone truly insane in the last twenty-four hours but the short of it is that he's JT (Trapper's son)'s best childhood friend and eventual boyfriend in the foxtrapverse. Picking out a couple of questions for him and then you can answer them for Klinger's uncle?

Is there someone your OC didn’t like at first, but then got along with later?

I think Jesse gets along great with all three of the guys (beejtraphawk) when he and JT are kids, but when he and JT initially reconnect, BJ's really hostile. The guy hurt his kid! Jesse doesn't respond very well to authority figures being negative towards him which means he lashes out in return, and they have a really strained relationship for a while before Hawkeye and Trapper get BJ to settle down and look at the fact that Jesse's clearly doing everything he can to be a good friend and partner.

Do your OC and (canon character) ever cross paths?

Using Klinger for this so you're welcome to trade it out to someone else! Jesse and JT initially meet because Jesse picks up a temporary (but very long-term) curse as a kid, so he consistently needs clothing alterations the same as Trapper and JT do. Trapper's been reaching out to Klinger for tailored work clothes since the late '50s because every other tailor he's gone to has fucked up making his pants fit his tail without chafing or looking awful. Trap gets in contact with Klinger for clothes for JT, too, so when Jesse and JT become super good friends, Trap does the same thing for him. I don't think they ever actually meet, but Klinger makes him and JT halloween costumes every single year when they're kids.
