your writing is my everything omg...you say you're quite new to the ff7 fandom, but you're so insane at writing the characters, its amazing. AHEM ANYWAYS <3 I was wondering if you could write some sephiroth x reader (who's love language is physical touch, and is quite energetic, and loud. However, more soft-spoken and gentle with him.) Knocking on his door at 3am only to find him awake, and it turns in to a cuddling session 💗

notes. anskwjsdj anon, that’s so sweet to hear🥺 i swear i’m new, really!😭 i got into it back in february so it hasn’t been very long.. but i appreciate your words, they’re very reassuring since i doubt my portrayals a lot :’) i hope this post is to your liking!<3
genre. fluff + comfort
sephiroth x gn!reader.
Tumblr media
shinra was ever quiet into the late evening as you tiptoed down the corridor of suites, careful not to stumble or make a ruckus. after all, normal people were asleep around this hour, even if you weren’t one of them.
but.. neither was your boyfriend, apparently, and you were about to make that his problem.
reaching the end of the hall, a soft breath spilled from your lips as you raised your fist to gently knock, grinning brightly. “sephirothhh.. it’s meeeee, your beloved y/n!” you sang as quiet as can be, suppressing a giggle before adding in a whispered yell, “open up before i freeze my ass off!”
it was a known fact that he, like his other peers, was graced with enhanced senses. which included hearing — among many other qualities to detect your presence, of course.
that being said, sephiroth had to be aware of your arrival, and by the pattern of footfalls echoing behind the door, it seemed he was!
liquid mercury framing a pale, ethereal face emerged through the crack of the doorframe, lips pulled into the tiniest of smiles. “apologies, i wasn’t aware i would be receiving company at this hour.” he finally spoke, sidestepping as an unvoiced invitation. “to what do i owe the pleasure of your lovely presence?”
with a quick kiss to his cheek, you threw your arms around him after twisting the lock, humming softly. “well, i must confess that i was suffering of boredom, lingering caffeine and a horrid lack of sephitonin.. so i decided to do something about that!”
a soft peck was placed on the flat of your temple in return, a noise of amusement following. “sephitonin, you say? and a lack of it? my, that sounds terrible, it simply won’t do.” sephiroth murmured back, cradling your body close to his by the hips. “what is your solution, if i might inquire?” there were several things that came to mind, but somehow you always had a way of going beyond his assumptions.
this was no exception. “a kiss for every minute that we have been apart sounds promising.. or a cuddle session until dawn, that sounds very appealing too.. then again, a goodnight’s rest on your thighs sounds lovely as well.. is ‘all the above’ an option here?”
a chuckle tumbled from his rosewood appendages, eyes crinkling at the corners. “hm.. just for you,” he paused, bringing a hand to cup your cheek. “i’d be willing to allow all of your suggestions. however, dawn is not far off.” the general warned, tracing his thumb over your warm skin. “we’d better get started.”
leaning into his cold, yet soothing hand, you allowed yourself to enjoy his touch for only a moment before letting out a tiny gasp. “you are so right. i should have infiltrated your apartment much sooner.” you concluded, pulling away to slip your fingers through the crevices of his pale ones. “it seems we have four hours at best and many, many kisses in dire need of compensation.. think you can handle this job, SOLDIER?”
though he knew the answer already, sephiroth fed into the silly act and made a contemplative sound, tapping a finger on his chin. “it will be a great feat, but i would not be a SOLDIER first if i could not accomplish this for my beloved.” he answered finally, smiling at the way you beamed up at him. did you always have to be so adorable?
“great! then it’s settled,” you giggled, tugging him forward. “to the bedroom we go!”
and to the bedroom you both went, laughter echoing all the way to the threshold where you fell back onto the collection of pillows with a bright grin.
the feline eyed male was quick to fill the spot beside you, pulling your body into the shape of his own as his nose buried into the crook of your neck.
kisses were peppered in his wake, snickers eliciting from your lips at the moonlight colored strands brushing over the curve of your cheek. it was utter bliss, being in his arms as you were, the signature rose and vanilla clinging to the air surrounding you both. somehow it was more prominent than normal; perhaps he had washed his hair after arriving home. either way, the scent put you at complete ease, as always.
“comfortable?” velvet cut through the silence, a gentle murmur against your ear.
you couldn’t help your giddiness at his affections, smiling like a teenager in love as you nuzzled against him. “incredibly, i’m about to have the best sleep ever.”
bemused, sephiroth shifted to tuck your head underneath his chin, allowing his eyes to flutter shut. “truly? well, i’m happy that i can provide you with such. i’ll certainly be sleeping nicely tonight as well.” a slumber devoid of the usual nightmares? with his beloved? he’d take it any day, no matter the timeframe in which you ask.
“good,” you muttered back, pressing your lips to his collarbone as your legs tangled with his own. “i want you to rest well too, i know it’s been harder as of late.. so i, y’know, wanna accommodate as best as i can.”
for a moment he fell quiet, though his arms- they spoke volumes of gratitude when they tightened just slightly around your form.
eventually, he found his voice again. “thank you, my love.”
notes. kinda short but i offer you a dose of sephitonin🤲 i’ve been adjusting to uni life so i haven’t been able to get to requests but i will do my best to gradually put out! just bear with me until then pls!🥺🫶

could i order a dirty flirtini for Anthony beauvillier using this prompt "Maybe making out for a few minutes would help us figure things out."
(Also this is so cool of you to do!!! Really creative with the drinks and prompts. Can’t wait to see what you write 💗)
thank you for requesting!🫶🏽
30. “Maybe making out for a few minutes would help us figure things out."
.
Anthony Beauvillier was one of the most confusing people you had ever met.
He was an enigma you couldn’t quite work out or understand, and it was starting to frustrate you to no end. One minute he would act like your best friend, like nothing was wrong, like the two of you had known each other for years and were so comfortable with one another. And the next he was avoiding you like the plague.
Sometimes, you wondered if your fleeting crush on the boy was requited. Other moments you wondered if he even liked you or if he was trying to give you a hint he wasn’t interested. And sometimes, you wondered if he even liked you as a friend.
Tonight was another one of those moments.
He was the one who had wanted to have a movie night, to come over after his workout session at the rink with a pizza that definitely wasn’t approved by the trainers and some snacks for whatever shitty movie the two of you would watch.
He had been messaging you like normal all day. He had even sent you a funny video this morning, saying Mat had sent him it and he just had to share it with you. He was completely normal and fine until he showed up, seeming on edge and a little distant.
And then he put as much distance between the two of you on the couch, practically pressing himself against the opposite arm so there was an awkwardly large gap between you two. An awkward gap that grew even worse when you had to stretch over to pass him something or vice versa.
And it was fucking killing you.
But your breaking point was when you could see him shuffling in his spot, arms crossed over his chest as he tried to subtly rub his arms.
“Are you cold?”
Anthony startled, tearing his eyes away from the screen to look at you. “Uh, what? No, no. I’m so fine.”
You looked at him oddly. “Are you sure? Because I think you left one of your hoodies here the other week and—”
“No!”
You blinked, slightly surprised at his outburst.
Anthony looked equally as surprised and embarrassed, his cheeks now burning a bright pink colour as he squirmed in his seat. “I’m sorry, I didn’t—” He cut himself off before he pushed himself to stand up. “Maybe I should go.”
Your brows furrowed together. “What?”
“Yeah, I’m just—” He didn’t even finish his sentence as he began making his way towards the door.
But you were faster.
You reached for his wrist, tugging him until he stopped to turn and look down at you. He looked a little frazzled, nervous even, and you had reached your wit’s end. You were confused and annoyed and frustrated, and you wanted answers.
“What’s with you?” You finally blurted out, your fingers still wrapped around his wrist. “Because one minute you’re hot and then you’re cold and then you’re acting like nothing changed and it’s a mindfuck!”
Anthony’s eyes widened.
“And then there’s moments where I think you feel the same and then you do shit like this and I don’t even know if you want to be friends with me, let alone anything more,” you continued, finding it hard to stop once you started. “Because I would rather you tell me instead of making me think—”
“I do like you,” he blurted out, cutting you off. “I just…you’re you and I’m me and you’re so…I can’t…I don’t want to lose this, lose you,” he said, sounding a little desperate. “You’re my best friend and I don’t want to risk that if things go south or if I fuck up.”
Your lips parted in surprise. “We won’t know until we try. Until we figure out if this—” You gestured between the two of you. “—is something more.”
Anthony’s eyes shifted down to your lips, his tongue subconsciously darting out to wet his lips.
“Maybe making out for a few minutes would help us figure things out,” you suggested half-heartedly before you tugged him closer, his mouth finding yours so easily as he kisses you senseless.
It’s safe to say the movie was long forgotten that night, and you two figured everything out pretty quickly before you were dragging him down the hallway to your bedroom.

Dark Paradise_Michael KaiserxF!Reader
This is inspired by the song Dark Paradise - Lana Del Rey. I constantly have the urge to write this although by writring is bad and English is not my native language. Please read with easy and feel free to point out my error. Thank you all!
Warning: Fluff to Angst, Major character d*ath, OOC, bad grammar and missed spelling, no-proofread.
All my friends tell me I should move on I'm lying in the ocean, singing your song Loving you forever can't be wrong Even though you're not here, won't move on
"Are you ok?" "Ok what? Stop asking useless thing, Ness. I know what I am doing."
Glaring at the brunette boy whose the worry is all over his tired face. Kaiser shake the thought off his mind, continues observing the field and calculating for the next attack session. Focusing and executing another glorious victory for Bastard Munchen, embellishes his throne.
Or that were what Kaiser thought.
Is it that obvious that to other people? How can Ness knows he is not totally dedicate to the match? How dare of him to assume Kaiser was absent-minded?
And god please let Kaiser know how stop himself from consantly looking at that certain seat in the VIP area that always reserved for his precious Y/n.
"Wwoahhhhh-" "It's him again, it Kaiser impact again" "A beautiful goal at 90', executed team XXX last hope, an absolute win 2-0 for Bastard Munchen"
The Bastard Munchen's crowd bursted in excitement for the just happened victory. His clown-like teammates make the ridiculous celebrate moves like the highschool team experiences a win match for the first time. Isnt this result is an obvious scene when they have the Kai-fucKING-ser as their savior, freed them from their arrogance like the background characters in his heroic play?
Empty. Kaiser feels nothing.
Mindlessly walking to the locker room. Shouldn't he feels satisfied as another decoration on his long-listed trophy is achieved and the spotlight is all on him? The adrenaline in him should reach it climax at this moment, he used to enjoy the afterward of every match as you will immediately rush up to him, kiss him passionately, congratulate him, sweet words pour from your cherry lips and you will discuss about the later plan on that day to spoil your loverboy for his victory.
Oh-
Kaiser realizes now. All this distraction, emptiness, and lost feelings is because of your absence in his life.
You weren't here this time, you weren't here to cheer for him, to worry for him every time he aims for the perfect shooting spot, and celebrate with him for every goal he scores in the match.
For his last 23 matches, you hadn't been here with him. He wonder how has he managed to last through that much time without you by his side.
The harsh reality that you will never be able to show up at his matches anymore, and add more to its tragedy, you are not here anymore for him to love you, embrace you, and hold you in his hands 'till the day the both of you draw your last breath.
You were gone. And he can't move on.
And there's no remedy for memory, your face is like a melody It won't leave my head Your soul is haunting me and telling me that everything is fine
From high school sweetheart to the IT couple that football fans and media use to address you and Kaiser everytime you guy drop anything on social media or Kaiser, once again, intentional drops in the middle of the interview to brag about his lovely baby.
You has been with K from the very first day, gone through up and down in his football career. Even when him tried to push you away because of his arrogance and cocky younger self, you was still by his side to work everything out together.
PDA
Pictures of you and him is all over Kaiser's social media accounts. Not a single day that Kaiser hadn't post something about his darling beauty and your caring for him and only him.
Kaiser want the world knows how much you mean to him and how good, how wonderful you are. Shutting down any chick that dares to claim themselves could be better if they could get in the place of his precious significant other. Not even in sleep they can dream about that, never ever.
Doesn't care to express his love for you even there were paparazzi taking the picture of you guys on public dates. Holding hand, peak on your peachy cheek, kiss on that honey lips, embrace you in his protection. "Turn to angle 3 o'clock babe, lets him capture my kiss on your hand when we got out the car. I will get that pic for the my new bio avatar."
Aftermath
Picking you up by your hip, winging you around and peppering your goddess-like face with kisses to relieve all the adrenaline he got from playing and shooting the whole match.
You looks like a cute bunny when hurrying run to him. And he wont tell you that you even look cuter attened his matches in winter,  the puffy jacket makes you look like the snowball rolling, but don't get him wrong. You are totally not look childish and funny (or maybe you are?)
Your curiosity when examines his new medal or trying to hold the Bastard München's just received cup.
"Hey don't bite it like I starved you. It is fake, like the pile of medals that stacked up in my exhibition room at home."
They know us but don't know these The most casual moment with you were the thing that haunted him most. The peacefulness that both of you cherish and Kaiser scared to lose, he feared when he wakes up the next day, you will not even be by his side to accomplish him for every beat that his heart beats.
When you come and wait for him to finish his late night practice.
When Kaiser want to hug you tight out of sudden while you guy were heading out the Bastard Munchen's stadium.
When Kaiser wakes up with you in his arm, hold you tight for 15 more minutes before getting ready for morning training.
When the ritual of the good luck kisses you press on his cheek, his temple and sometimes for lips before you two must parted as Kaiser back to the locker room and ready for the matches.
"Thank you my goddess. Your knight in shining armour today will once again establish another glorious victory with you endearing blessing. These clowns will be blinded by your charming power. "
"Oh dear! Please leave before Noa will rocket himself up there. He has been calling for the tenth time to get you back with the team."
"It was 35 calls last time baby. Hah, he must be used to it"
"MIKA!!!"
Every time I close my eyes, it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side There's no you, except in my dreams tonight
Kaiser knows your love is immeasurable. He glad that god still has mercy on him, gives him a chance to realize how precious, one of a kind your love is before his arrogance, led by the depression he got in Blue Lock, made him lose you.
It would have been the eternal punishment for his soul.
But there were times Kaiser wishes that your love isn't that strong and you would not deeply care for him to the point that you wouldn't hesitate flight yourself overseas to support him, cheering for his match in foreign country.
"Breaking news. The Amour Airlines's flight BB-1234 on day x/y/20xx from Munich, Germany to Tokyo, Japan had been reported to unfortunately crashes on the XXX island while it was crossing the Indian Ocean due to the unpredicted storm. The passenger list had been provided by the Airlines and they are calling for the family of the passengers to contact to help the searching and identifying progress. The list- .... Y/n, female, xx years old, nationality: ____"
And everybody's rushing me, but I can feel you touching me There's no release, I feel you in my dreams Telling me I'm fine

“I Haven’t Been To Therapy, I Should Go Again”
A drabble of me using YN as a placeholder so I can write and detach myself enough from the situation + makes some great writing practice | no. 1 | made 7th Oct. 23 |
warnings: none, just a drabble of a therapy session
Tumblr media
"You think you're a hole?" He giggles, leaning back onto the couch with a certain aloofness. It doesn't reach his eyes but the doctor offers a quick dash across his writing pad. This catches his eye. He wonders for a moment if the way his limbs are arranged is wrong and if they convey the wrong emotions he is feeling. He was never the best at that; articulating his emotions.
Oftentimes, he's been told he came off as disingenuous. Perhaps a bit too friendly — then sometimes, he's called antisocial and sullen.
' Always staring at his phone '. Bemoaned his mother; 'Never seeing who looked at him in the hopes of getting to know him but complaining to me that you were alone '.
So he wonders what his doctor writes now. If the man across from him in that lint-free sweater is hoping to know him or if he already has. If so, was he that unremarkable that a few written words were enough for the therapist to know? "(Y/N?)" "When you put it like that it sounds pervy".
He brings his gaze to the carpet. The idea of curling up on this couch was pushed away at the thought of putting his shoes on the fine upholstery. Even if he knows that the therapist's cat scratched the sides to filth — the couch cover was a few sizes too big and sometimes ended up revealing more than it was meant to cover — and it's been ages since the couch's glory days. His parents taught him better. They didn't teach him enough to be better, but they did teach him manners. "But why do you think of yourself that way?" (Y/N)'s emotions bubble. It stings his eyes but he manages to swallow it down. "I think it suits me. A hole is an absence of something, a void that could be filled. Sometimes they are useful. But most of the time people get scared of them. Especially the ones that seem endless, cavernous".
"And you think you're cavernous?"
He takes a breath.
"I think I'm greedy". The doctor stays quiet and (Y/N) has been through the session enough to know it's a prompting for him to continue. "A neverending void that's desperate for...something. Love, money, fulfillment, companionship". "You feel like you lack companionship?" He sinks lower into the couch.
"No. I do have friends. It's just, it's hard to tell them everything. There's just...it's scary, alright? Fuckin' terrifying."
"They're your friends, they should understand you. You said it yourself that you'd take a bullet for them".
"And I would. A thousand times over, I would", his tone mimics his hardened expression.
"But talking to them about this void feels daunting to you?" The doctor speaks in a voice that's more comforting than prying. As if nothing would come out of (Y/N) simply talking. But (Y/N) looks at the clock on the wall and knows this is a paid transaction. The doctor taps the writing pad in thought. He's lost him. (Y/N)'s walls were as obvious as it comes. Drawn up shoulders, clenched jaw, furrowed brows, avoiding eye contact. His knee is beginning to bounce, although the doctor knows it's not due to impatience. The anxious habit was a mindless way for his brain to stimulate a part of itself enough to keep him from going stir-crazy. "I'm selfish", he mutters. The doctor barely catches it but he elaborates. "My friends are amazing. I value them and cherish them. But I feel like my thoughts make me undeserving of such a bond. I try to make more friends but I feel like a newborn calf, stumbling around like a moron, worrying about overstepping or being too closed off. I try to understand why I want new friends and I can rationalize it as just seeking companionship. But I know it's more than that.”
“It's because I'm scared my friends will leave me once they see me. Which is ridiculous since we've known each other for years, still, that fear sticks with me. It's vile and repulsive and it doesn't shut up."
He exhales slowly, his shoulder drooping.
"That's why I'm selfish, greedy, cavernous, void of neediness and wants and fears and impulses".
A chuff of laughter causes his face to wrinkle in confusion. The therapist, this sweater-cladded man with his hair brushed and swept back; looking so put together across from (Y/N) that it makes him feel uncomfortable just being in the same room as him, was laughing.
“What?” he bites out. Defensive but curling the corners of his lips up to soften that sharpness. Lest he be too rude.
“You’re scared of being human,” he answers. “You’re more anxious than most, but you’re human. It’s normal to have these fears and anxiety,” he pauses to gauge the boy’s reaction.
“You’re in that phase in your life where people are expecting you to put down roots. A job. A lover. A car. A house.”
(Y/N) grimaces. But he continues.
“You told me your friends seemed to have it all together and you feel stuck. Do you think, maybe, your fear is your feeling of inadequacy? You comparing yourself to your peers, makes this void inside of you grow larger and so you look for other friends. People who don’t know you like your old friends do.”
(Y/N) gazes at the couch and then at the carpet. The clocks tick on for a minute too long and one of them adjusts themselves in their seats. The other is too hyperaware of every movement he makes and forces himself to be still. Akin to prey being caught in the sight of its natural predator.
“...Same time next month?” (Y/N) mutters as he reaches for his bag. The clock hands revealing their session had finally ended.
“Of course, I’ll invoice you today’s bill later, yeah?”
“Yeah. Thanks.”

Hello. I was wondering if you could do a Morpheus x F!Reader where Morpheus and reader are not in a relationship but have some chemistry going and then somehow, the reader ends up in Desire's realm where Desire basically kidnaps her once they found out about the readers "relationship" with Morpheus? I hope this makes sense. I just really want a Morpheus vs Desire over the reader
I'm very excited to write this!!! This sounds like something out of my 3 AM specialised playlist imagining sessions and I am loving it!! Desire Vs Morpheus showdown it is!! I kinda just started to write so sorry if this isn't what you wanted. I'm also sorry this took so long, i's been sitting in my drafts being edited for ages
TW: violence and mild mentions of Gore but if you watched The Sandman you should be good.
Desire had always been friendly to Y/N, Eleos, the Goddess of Kindness, mercy, clemency, compassion, and pity. And being the kind woman she was she never read much into the friendly flirtations that Desire offered back.
But she was aware of other things, such as how a certain Endless' jaw would clench whenever he saw her and his sibling together, walking through the fields that he had carefully crafted for her and himself.
Dream and Y/N had been friends for an eternity, and often they visited each other's realms. Eleos would bring compassion and an overwhelming bout of happiness to Morpheus' realm, and Morpheus would bring sweet dreams to the citizens of Eleos' realm. Often their people visited the opposing realm, and each creation got along well, reflecting the good tidings they felt for each other.
Eleos had been beside Dream for a long time, outlasting any of his relationships (which she sometimes teased him about when the mood was right). She was there when Dream was captured and felt his absence more than anyone else, but she held her head high nonetheless. She was the only person Dream would ever consider calling a friend, and when he returned to The Dreaming after 200 years, she was there with open arms and kind words. She helped him rebuild his realm and bring back his citizens and the wayward nightmares.
There were other things in the time that he had returned, a vortex causing significant damage to The Dreaming which was swiftly dealt with. But upon the revelation that this was all part of a plan, one concocted by Desire and Despair, Dream paid his younger sibling a visit.
Since then things had been fraught between the two Endless.
And unbeknownst to her, Y/N stood right in the middle of it.
That's why it came as a surprise to her when she woke up, in a realm that was unmistakably Desire's.
Everything was red. A colour of red that constantly shifted, never the same, swirling from bright red to deep dark blood maroon. She noticed quickly that she was in a room with a fire burning in the middle of it and an uncomfortable, plasticky-looking Chaise Lounge to the side. There were leather straps wrapped around her ankles and wrists, holding her to a metal bar, suspending her slightly off the ground, and causing her arms great pain which was slowly spreading to the rest of her body.
The Goddess whimpered slightly, her arms burning. The noise caught the attention of the realm, and more importantly the realm's ruler.
The moment she let out the noise the energy of the realm changed, becoming hostile and off-putting.
And then there were footsteps, the clicking of high heels with close-to-impossible stiletto heels.
She felt Desire's presence before she saw them, this overwhelming encompassing feeling of want for anything and everything. And then they were in front of her and the feeling subsided.
"Desire," her mouth felt dry, the words hard to get out as she felt her lips crack, "How long have I been here for? Why am I here? What-"
"Hush, sweetheart." Desire grinned, "Don't you worry about a thing…"
She turned her head away from Desire as they reached out a hand to stroke her hair, "Desire." It was a warning, a demand, her words held as much power as she could muster in someone else's realm, "Let me go." She pulled slightly against her restraints.
Desire started giggling, "Let you go? No, no, no, darling, it's too soon for that! I haven't gotten my revenge yet." They twirled her hair around their finger.
Fear filled her veins. A Goddess stood no chance against an Endless, "Desire, please let me go…please. Whatever I've done- whatever I owe you-"
Desire gripped her jaw, pointed fingernails digging into her skin and making her grit her teeth together, "This isn't about you." They hissed, dropping the playful facade, "This is about my brother. I want to see him suffer, want to see him mourn and cry and beg." They grinned.
Desire took a step back but didn't release her face until a beat later before they turned around and faced the fire. They bent down, their fishnets stretching over their perfect skin, and reached into the fire in the centre of the room. Their hand disappeared into the flames and re-emerged holding a leather parcel. There were the remains of string tied around it which burned away in the fire.
She watched as Desire held it above their head and brushed it off of any ash from the leather outside. There was a buckle on the front which they undid, then held it high and let the leather unroll to reveal rows upon rows of sharp glistening knives that held the cosmos on the edge of their blades which instantly reminded her of Morpheus.
She bent her head down and began to speak as Desire ran their fingers over the knives, words of dreams and nightmares and ancient powers.
"He can't reach you here." Desire said, "Not unless I let him in."
"Well, he's got to be here if you want to see him beg and…grieve."
"You hold a very good point." Desire waved a hand and something changed again before they took a knife out of the holder, "Shall we start? Make sure he can hear you screaming and begging?"
-
By the time Desire is done there is no mistaking that Morpheus heard her, but Y/N's also sure half her skin must be hanging off. Desire held nothing back, and with their realm heightening her every sense each blade against her skin was pure agony and despair.
Finally, when Desire is done, knives and various other tools are scattered around Y/N's feet, they grin, "My brother is so very selfish." They pout playfully, "He has everything in life handed to him on a silver platter, and he's always been a little bit too much like Destiny. His moral compass is just overwhelmingly straight!" They're dramatic when they speak, "Until it isn't. And when Morpheus makes a mistake it's so easily overlooked, when he condemns past lovers to hell and is the reason for his son's death and misery, it's all fine! But try being me and try having a little fun? Well…you can't get anywhere in life."
They sigh, seductively laying back on the plastic chaise lounge, "So I decided, why not take from him what he values most." They shrug, "Show him what it really feels like to lose."
There's blood filling Y/N's mouth as she speaks, "I don't know that he'll care that much for me." She nearly laughs.
"What?" Desire grins, "You think I didn't think about The Dreaming? About sweet Lucienne and Merv and Cain and Abel and even Corinthian, when he was still around. I thought about the entire realm! Even its very substance, about tearing it apart from the inside until he begged for mercy but I knew…" They shook their head, "Oh, I knew he'd give it all up for you within seconds." They snapped their fingers.
"So what? You want Morpheus' realm?" Each word was agony but she needed to know Desire's motives, needed to figure out a way out of this.
Desire shrugged playfully, wiping blood off their fingers, "If that's what he happens to offer then so be it." And then they were gone with the faint echo of malicious laughter, leaving Y/N with nothing but Morpheus' name on her lips.
-
Y/N heard Morpheus before anything else, the sound of those heavy boots marching authoritatively down the red plasticky hallway. And then the feeling of static and electricity in the air, like the calm before a storm except…there was anger so ancient and so furious that it consumed everything around him and Y/N understood that in that moment, he held just as much power here as he did in The Dreaming.
When he arrived, Desire was lounging on that red chair, smiling leisurely in front of her, enjoying the degrading display of struggle.
Morpheus' voice echoed around the realm, a deep and relaxing tone to her ears but one that caused fear and worry in Desire. Not that they'd back down now.
"Brother," their tone was velveteen and relaxed, "We're just in here, why don't you come to join us? We were having a wonderful time discussing you."
The wall split open to reveal Dream, eyes holding nebulas and constellations and rage. His hands hovered by his side as he took three long strides into the room, laid eyes on Y/N's state, and then had Desire pinned to the wall by their neck, long fingers curling tightly around their throat.
"What is the meaning of this?" He was angry, a type of angry Eleos had never seen before, despite being his side for most of his existence. He hadn't even used this tone when he dealt with The Corinthian and he was fuming then.
So this? This must've been pure unfiltered rage and it hit her like a brick.
"Of what?" Desire, despite currently losing the fight, was acting dumb. Ignorant.
Dream's grip tightened, and Y/N saw Desire physically struggle for breath, not that they needed it. But something told her they'd gotten a little bit too comfortable.
So they corrected themselves, "I wanted to see how far you'd go for your little goddess there. How much you'd sacrifice in her name."
"You. This is it Desire, this is the end of any connection or familiarity that I may have with you. Any positive feelings I once felt towards you are gone, you are no longer my sibling and I am ashamed to once have even called you family."
Y/N knew that all Dream had ever wanted, deep down, even if he wouldn't admit it to himself, was a family to call his own. His siblings were, for a while, all he had ever known. And deep down he had always hoped to himself that they could return to how it used to be, before -everything-. That perhaps, just like Delirium and Death hoped, they could call themselves an actual family.
But now, with Desire's actions and words, there was no hope of that. Not even in Hell.
And so Morpheus' hand just got tighter and tighter and tighter around Desire's neck, until the younger Endless' started clawing at his hands for mercy.
But it was Y/N that stopped it, "Dream. Enough." Her words were weak and quiet but he heard them.
Instantly he dropped Desire, leaving them to lick their wounds in a crumpled heap on the floor, and rushed to her, hands clumsily and hurriedly trying to undo the leather straps, eyes taking in all the cuts and bruises.
"I'm sorry…" the words were whispered so Desire would never hear as he shook his head before turning to his pitiful sibling, "You disgust me."
And then The Goddess and The Endless were gone.
-
She had passed out the moment they arrived in The Dreaming from a mixture of exhaustion and blood loss that her immortal body did not let her succumb to. But she needed the rest.
And for the first time in what felt like years, she felt safe.
The next time she was awake she was lying in the softest bed she had ever felt. Y/N could feel the multitude of bandages that had been wrapped around her, and when she looked down she saw Lucienne sitting in a chair reading a book and her heart soared with relief.
She moved to sit up slightly and noticed she felt the best she had in days. The librarian jumped at the noise, shutting the book with a slam before seeing Y/N, "Our Lady of Kindness, you're awake!" She was shocked, jumping out of her chair to prop some pillows up behind her, "Can I get you anything? I should tell Lord Morpheus you're awake-"
"Luc," Y/N reached out an arm, "Calm down." She said slowly, "Drop the formalities. I'm okay." She reassured, letting the librarian catch her breath before continuing, "I would like to see Morpheus. If he's around."
"He's been worried about you for days." She nearly laughed but then shut her mouth as if she'd said something she shouldn't, "I shall retrieve him."
She was gone and back in a flash, a dark shadow following her upon her return. Morpheus.
The Goddess and The Endless stared at each other a minute as the librarian excused herself and then he dragged the chair to her bedside and took a seat. A beat. "How are you feeling?"
"Better. Much better. Thank you." She looked at her hands in her lap, "I'm sorry you had to…do that."
"Desire did awful things to you. This is the last time they will get away with it as if their actions were trivial." There was a subsided anger in his tone and Y/N sighed.
"Thank you, Morpheus."
"You have nothing to thank me for."
"You-"
"I'd do anything for you in a heartbeat." The words came out fast and suddenly, "I'm just sorry I didn't get to you sooner. And…Desire putting you in that situation…it's stupid it took that for me to realise how I feel about you."
The last part made her eyebrows raise and her heart beat significantly faster, "Oh." She blinked a few times before taking his hands in hers and then she was pulling him forward, "I owe you so much Dream Lord." She smiled sadly before leaning in and kissing him.
For the first time in the rest of their existence.

Authors note: This story is a little more personal than I usually write and I’m aware that some might relate. But I hope you enjoy.
A big thank you to @downbad4yoongi and @star-my for being my beta angels. 💜
To say the two of you were being loud was an understatement. Yours and Jimin’s usual unserious bickering always got louder the drunker you got. Thankfully, the group was in a private room this time, or else the whole restaurant would look at you the same way your waitress did every time she came into the room. Your friends either watched the both of you with the same look of amusement as they always did, or they did their best to ignore you.
Tonight's topic of discussion was whether or not Jimin should be your date to your company party in two days since the person you were originally supposed to go with backed out.
“Jimin, if I take you, then my whole work life will be just people asking me how I know The Park Jimin! I like my quiet work life. I don’t want people knowing I’m friends with one of the world's most famous models!”
Jimin put his hand over his heart, scrunched up his face like he was in pain, and sucked in a sharp breath. “Are you ashamed of me, Y/N? Have the past ten years of our friendship meant nothing?”
You leaned your head back and groaned in frustration before taking another shot of soju. This argument had been going in circles for almost thirty minutes now. “Jimin,” you took a deep breath before turning to face him, “I love you. You know that, right?” You bit the inside of your lip to stop the smile that wanted to show when he sniffled and wiped a nonexistent tear. “I’m not ashamed of you. You are one of my best friends, and I would do anything for you, but you know how I prefer to fly under the radar. If I show up with you, people won’t leave me alone. All I’d hear about is the handsome friend I have.”
“You think I’m handsome?” Jimin’s fake hurt turned into a victory grin.
“You’re such a pain in my ass!” You laughed, unable to control it anymore.
“$100 dollars, Taehyung.” Jimin reached across the table to collect his winnings.
“You bet against me, Tae?” Your eyebrow shot up as you ran your tongue across the inside of your cheek. “I guess you’ll be paying for your own dinner.”
Taehyung stopped mid-transaction. “Wait! What? No! Come one, Y/N! That’s not fair! It’s not my fault you fell into his trap again!”
Jimin snatched the money from his fingers. “He has a point, Y/N. It’s not his fault you lost.”
Your head snapped to Jimin, who had a cheeky grin on his face while he got his wallet out and put away his prize. “I should really kick your ass one of these days.”
He turned in your direction, rested one arm on the table, and looked you over. “Sounds like a fun time to me.”
You laughed while the temperature of your body soared, “Get away from me,” you stated, playfully shoving him away and grabbing your chopsticks.
“How have you two not fucked yet?” Jungkook piped in from across the table.
The piece of meat you’d been chewing on quickly found its way to your throat, causing you to choke.
“Damn, Jungkook.” Jimin chuckled, patting you on the back while Hoseok got you a glass of water and tried to calm his laughter so that he wouldn’t spill it. “You can’t just say shit like that out of nowhere.”
“We’ve all been wondering.” Jungkook pouted and shrugged his shoulders. “The two of you have so much sexual and non-sexual chemistry between you, it's only a matter of time before something happens.” He took in a sharp breath and turned his head slightly, taking both of your reactions in. “Unless it's already happened…”
You put up your finger stopping him, “Him and I,” you wiggled your finger pointing at you and Jimin. “Never have. Never will.”
“I wouldn’t say never, Y/N. One of these days you might.”
“I’m up for it if you are.” Jimin smiled and ran his tongue across his bottom lip out of the corner of your eyes.
“He’s not my type, Jungkook.”
“You don’t have a type, Y/N,” Yoongi yelled from the other end of the table. “You’ve always said you would give anyone a chance as long as they aren't assholes. And Jimin, although he’s a pain in the ass, he’s not an asshole.”
Jimin’s lips tightened and he nodded. “I am not an asshole.”
You sighed, annoyed at the conversation. “That is true, but I would also prefer someone taller or as tall as me.”
“I’m a whole two inches shorter! And that’s if we are both barefooted!” Jimin stated, before quickly realizing it wasn’t helping his case any.
The conversation was beginning to upset you. You’d always been self-conscious about your height, thanks to being teased about it growing up and the numerous times you were turned down by a guy. Did you find Jimin attractive? Yes, extremely attractive. But you promised yourself many years ago that you wouldn’t put yourself through the pain of rejection again, so that’s why you placed him in the friend zone the moment you met him.
“Two inches isn’t that bad, Y/N.”
You took a shot of soju and poured another while the table agreed with Yoongi. “Although he has legs for days, Jimin is still too short for me and that's that.” You quickly tilted your head back, taking the last shot, and slammed the glass on the table. “I’m going first. I have a lot of things to do tomorrow.” You stood up and collected your stuff. “Dinner is on me!” You waved your hand over your shoulder before shutting the door and going to the counter to pay.
The second you stepped outside, you rolled your neck and shoulders to help ease the tension that had started to build. You flagged down the first available taxi that you saw and got in. But as you were closing the door and giving him your destination, the door was stopped.
“What are you doing?” You asked Jimin, who had a hand on the top of it.
He didn’t say anything, just waved you over so that he could get in. The driver gave you a concerned look in the mirror, and you let him know it was fine. This wasn’t the first time one of the guys had ridden home with you, especially after a night of drinking.
The ride was silent except for the music coming from the radio. You stared out the window, listening to the sad love song that was playing. It was definitely not the kind of music you needed right now.
“Say something, Y/N.” Jimin finally spoke up after twenty minutes of silence.
You took your heavy head off the window and spoke to him, “Stop flirting with me.”
“Wh..what?” He chuckled.
Your head leaned back against the window, and your focus went back to the world outside. “I said stop flirting with me. It hurts too much when you do.” You chewed on the inside of your cheek to keep your tears at bay that threatened to spill out.
Silence fell over the car again, breaking only when you told the driver thank you. Jimin followed quietly behind you. He didn’t say anything as the two of you rode the elevator up to your apartment and entered. You didn’t have the energy to talk; all you wanted to do was get cleaned up and go to bed.
After you’d finished up and climbed under the covers, Jimin came into your room. He had done the same, changing into one of the spare sets of clothes the guys had kept in your extra room. He was the only one out of the group that slept in the king-size bed with you. Jimin had taken care of you one day while you were sick and accidentally fell asleep. When he woke up, he complained about how your bed was more comfortable than the one in the guest room and claimed the empty side as his.
You turned so that your back was facing him. You inwardly cursed yourself and let a silent tear fall when your body relaxed to his closeness and smell.
Jimin sighed and turned off the lamp on his side of the bed, “Goodnight, Y/N.”
・❥・
You’d just finished putting on your makeup when your phone pinged with a notification. It was a text message from Jimin telling you that he was on his way up to your apartment. You sighed and put down your makeup brush. You were way too busy right now for interruption. The buzzer to the door went off, and you double-checked your robe to make sure it was secure before you opened it. On the other side of the door stood a smiling Jimin, who was wearing a black tailored suit and had a bouquet of flowers in one hand.
Your eyes raked over him, taking in his perfectly styled hair to the tip of his Chelsea boots. “What are you all dressed up for?” you asked, folding your arms.
“I’m your date!” He proudly exclaimed, puffing out his chest.
“I never agreed to that,” you rolled your eyes and walked away.
“Careful, Y/N. You’ll scuff my shoes!”
You looked behind you and saw Jimin’s foot wedged between the door and the frame, stopping it from closing. “Well, that’s what you get for using your damn foot to stop the door.”
“Man, you’re in a mood today.”
You stopped at the couch and grabbed the garment bag resting on the arm that held your dress. “I don’t have time for this, Jimin. I still need to get dressed.” You jumped when the bouquet was suddenly put in front of your face.
“It’s a present from the guys. All six of them picked out a flower to say sorry about the dinner the other night.”
“What about you?” you lifted an eyebrow and took the bouquet.
“There’s no better present than me!” He sat down on the couch and stretched out his arms across the back. “I am all yours tonight. I promise to be a gentleman and stay by your side like a good date.”
Jimin pouted when you didn’t argue. His eyes stayed on you and watched you walk away. When you emerged from your room twenty minutes later, his heart stopped, and his breath hitched. You looked beautiful. He had never seen you dressed up like this before. The black dress was tight, putting all your curves on display, while the high neckline perfectly showed off your clavicle. The long sleeves helped to keep you covered until the dress ended mid-thigh, showing off your well-toned legs. He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t ever thought about them in ways that would make you blush. You had joked a few times, saying that he had legs for days, but yours really did go on for days. When you stopped to use the mirror in the corner of the living room so that you could put your earrings in, Jimin nearly slid off the couch. The dress was backless, stopping just above your bottom.
“Jimin?”
“I’m sorry. Did you need something?” He asked, snapping out of his thoughts.
“I asked if you could help me with my necklace.”
“Yeah, sure.” Jimin got off the couch and walked over to you. The heels you had on only added an inch or two to your height. You weren’t a fan of wearing heels that made you too much taller than normal. He knew it was because you didn’t want to stick out more than you already did. Your height was one of your biggest insecurities; you liked to pretend that it wasn’t, but he knew.
You turned to face him after he’d finished. “Do I look that bad?”
“What? No!” Jimin blinked rapidly and shook his head. “You look amazing! I’ve just never seen you in something like this before. It’s taking me a bit to get used to it.”
You ran your hands over your dress and pulled the skirt down some more. “I wanted to try something new. But I feel almost naked. I should go put something else on. I’m not mentally prepared for the attention this dress might come with.”
“No, you don’t!” Jimin grabbed your arm, stopping you from leaving to go change. “We don’t have time for that!” He kept a hold of your arm while he walked to the closet by the front door. “We just need to find…” He trailed off while he sorted through the coats. “Ah! Here we go! I knew I’d left it here.” He pulled out and shook out a black trench coat. “It’s unisex, so it will work perfectly.”
“Are you sure? Isn’t this the jacket you got from a photoshoot? It’s pretty expensive.”
Jimin hummed and helped you put it on, “I’m sure. It will keep you warm, and it will keep random men from staring at you while we go outside to the car.”
・❥・
The two of you were currently sitting in the back of the car, laughing and chatting about the happenings of your company party while Jimin’s personal driver drove. Jimin did just as he said he would and stayed by your side for the most part.
“I gave SunHee your phone number, by the way.” You laughed when his face scrunched up in disgust when you mentioned your boss's secretary's name. The woman had practically bulldozed everyone down when she saw you and Jimin walk through the door. Sunhee was one of the least liked people in the office; she was the head secretary, and she let everyone know it.
Jimin’s body shook as he remembered the way she kept putting her hands on him while she flirted. “God, I hope you’re joking. I can’t deal with any more crazy stalkers in my life.”
“I’m only joking. I couldn’t do that to you or me. I mean, if you two started dating, that means I’d have to see her outside of work.” This time, it was your face that scrunched up in disgust.
“That’s good because I told her we were dating.”
“You didn’t,” your laughter stopped when you saw the serious look on his face. “You didn’t, Jimin…Jimin. Please tell me you are joking.”
“What was I supposed to do? She kept trying to get me to leave with her. At one point, she even tried to get me into the supply closet!”
You groaned in frustration and let your head fall to the window. “Monday is going to be hell.”
Jimin patted you on the shoulder, “That’s what you get for leaving us alone at the table.”
“I had to pee,” you groaned. “Why did they have to pick a place that was so far away?” You weren’t looking for an answer, but he replied anyway.
“We still have about forty minutes until we get to your apartment. My place is closer if you want to just stay there.”
You turned your head and glared at him. “What makes you think that this date went well enough for me to go home with you?”
Jimin copied your earlier move and looked out the window. “I just thought you’d want to get out of those shoes and into some comfortable clothing as soon as possible. Plus, I live close to your favorite fried chicken restaurant.”
Your lips and eyebrows tightened while you thought. Once you’d come to a decision, you nodded and got the driver's attention. “To Jimin’s house, please. Also, can we stop to get chicken, please?”
・❥・
Jimin laughed while he poured each of you a glass of beer. You looked so cute sitting there in his shirt and a pair of his boxers, wiggling as you chewed on your food across the coffee table from him.
“I think that’s your twelfth piece.” He joked.
“I think you should shut up.” You replied in a singsongy voice.
Jimin sat back and watched you as he drank. His mind was swirling with questions that he needed answers to. “Tonight went pretty well, didn’t it?”
“Except for the random fan girls, yes. I’d say it did.” You wiped your hands on the napkin and took a drink.
“Is two inches really that big of a deal?”
You were mid-drink when your confused eyes looked at him. “I guess that depends on the location of the two inches you’re lacking in.” You smirked.
“I am not lacking there, you perv,” he laughed.
You shrugged your shoulders. “If you say so.”
“I was talking about my height, Y/N.”
“To some women, it might not,” you shrugged
“I’m not talking about some women. I’m talking about you.”
You were hunched over with your mouth hung open pre-bite. Your eyes looked up at him. He was being serious. Now the question was, did you want to have this conversation with him? Did you have enough liquid courage to let everything out in the open?
Jimin sat there on his side of the table, watching you. The expression on his face told you that he wasn’t going to give up until you answered him.
You straightened up and downed your half-full glass of beer. “Alright, let's have this conversation,” you sighed. “To me, it is. I don’t want it to be, but it is. I can’t tell you how many times I have been turned down because of my height or been broken up with because the guy I was dating couldn’t handle the rude comments. Not to mention all the names I was called. So yes, for me, two inches does matter.”
“It doesn’t to me.”
“Jimin…” Your words trailed off when he moved the table to the side so that he could scoot closer to you.
“Y/N, I understand that you are worried about our height difference. I would be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about it. But I realize I don’t care. People are going to make comments because they are assholes. All that matters to me is that I have you by my side.”  You looked down at your hand, suddenly fascinated by your nails, while he continued. “So wear your heels, take pride in your height, and be my girlfriend.”
You sat there for a few minutes, just taking in the words that he said. Two inches didn’t look like that big of a deal to most people, but to you, it was. Could you do the same as him and push your insecurities aside one last time?
“Oh my god. Did I read things wrong? Are you not attracted to me? Did I just make a total fool of myself?”
Your head quickly snapped up. “No, it’s not that!”
“So you do think I’m attractive?”
“Yes, very. I just…I umm. Fuck. Okay.” The words came out even though you hadn’t intended them to.
“Okay?” The excitement he was feeling became visible on his face.
“We can give it a try.”
He leaped up from his seated position and hugged you. “You know what’s nice about us sitting down?”
“What?”
Jimin pulled back a little, “Neither of us has to adjust our heights to kiss.”
Before you could say anything, Jimin put his lips on yours. Your body instantly melted, and your eyes fluttered close.
For a moment, you felt as if you were floating before you felt the floor against your back. After that, it didn't take much longer for the simple kiss to turn into a full-blown make-out session. The two of you in your own little world, taking each other in with your lips and hands.
Jimin’s apartment filled with the sound of your combined moans when you wrapped your legs around him, effectively trapping him against you. The hunger you’d both had trapped inside of you for years was threatening to take over with the movement of his hips and the touch of your skin on his.
The sound of Jimin’s phone going off snapped both of you out of your lust-filled haze. Jimin slowly lifted himself away from you. “I didn't mean for it to go that far.” He said, just as out of breath as you were. “I was just hoping for a little kiss. Not a…”
“Full-blown dry hump session?” you laughed.
“Yeah, that. Although I’m not complaining, I think we should stop for now.” He turned and glared at his phone when it went off again. Jimin pouted and looked back at you. “I hate to say this, but I’m going to need you to unwrap me from your beautiful legs so that I can yell at whoever is blowing up my phone.”
Before you could reply, both of your heads snapped in the direction of the front door when you heard the sound of his passcode being entered. “Fuck!” the two of you said in unison.
Jimin had just gotten himself straightened out, and you had just gotten yourself into the bathroom when the entryway was filled with the sound of your friends.
“See, I told you they’d be here!” Seokjin’s voice echoed. “Jimin! Where are you? Oh, you’re right there.” He laughed when he found Jimin standing in the front room with a confused look on his face.
“Where’s, Y/N?” Namjoon asked, walking around the older man with bags full of food.
“I was in the bathroom.” Before you knew it, Taehyung and Jungkook were standing next to you with their eyes squinted.
“Something’s different…” the youngest of the two spoke as they began to circle you.
“What the hell are you guys doing?” you nervously laughed.
“Something feels off. Don’t you think, Jungkook?”
“There’s definitely something.”
“Oh will you two cut it out!” Yoongi yelled while he and the other men watched the weirdness going on a few feet away. “We came here to eat, drink, and let them tell us about the party.”
“Is that a hickey?!”
Everyone else in the room froze except for you, who quickly covered your neck with your hands and looked at Jimin.
“What did you do?” Taehyung looked at Jimin, whose face was turning red. “Jimin? Why does Y/N have a hickey on her lower neck?”
Jimin’s mouth opened and shut a few times while he tried to figure out how to respond. “What makes you think I did something?” he asked defensively. “Who's to say she didn’t do it?”
“What the hell, Jimin? I didn’t give myself a hickey!”
“Well, I didn’t give it to you! My phone interrupted us before I…” Jimin stopped talking and glared at the younger two who were smiling from ear to ear.
“There’s no hickey, Y/N.” Jungkook put an arm around your shoulder. “But Jimin’s dress shirt is crooked.”
You elbowed him in the side and slapped Taehyung on the arm. “Assholes! The both of you are assholes.” You slid out from under Jungkook’s arm and went to the kitchen where Namjoon and Hoseok were standing, trying their best not to laugh.
“Welp,” Yoongi clapped loudly, breaking up the staring contest between the three youngest. “Guess that means we are going to eat, drink, and talk about the party along with whatever the hell we interrupted.”
You groaned and let your torso fall to the island to hide your embarrassed face. This was not at all how you saw your night going. “Get off the island, Y/N,” Jimin said, pulling you up and into his chest. “I take full responsibility and won't let them interrogate you too much.”
Your eyes snapped back to Taehyung and Jungkook when you heard ‘aws’ coming from them. “I really don’t like you two right now! I knew I should’ve slammed the door on your damn foot.” You couldn’t help but laugh when Jimin started laughing behind you.
“Does that mean I’m finally going to get that ass-kicking you promised?”
“Get away from me.” You laughed harder and gently pushed Jimin away.
“So you and the pain in the ass, huh?” Yoongi asked when you joined him and Seokjin at the table.
“Yep, me and the pain in the ass.”
Jimin was different from the other guys you’d had a crush on. Looking back, you could see that now. He nor either one of your friends had made you feel like a freak for your height. And he was right. Those who did have a problem with it were assholes. The thought of being with Jimin made you feel anxious, but strangely, in a good way.
THE END

Journal anon
Hi guys! So an anon wrote to me with some things that might be kind of triggering, so I am going to write back without including the original post, that way I can put a break below. I am going to call them journal anon, because they mentioned a journal.
Hi, love!
First of all, you are NOT a loser, and you're not a failure. You're clearly going through and feeling a lot, and I am SO proud of you for getting this far, and for getting up and trying every day. You are so important and valued, even if you don't feel like that now.
Here's the thing, though.
I've been where you are. And I know that what you're going through is deep and difficult and complex. And for that reason, I'm going to say: I am NOT a professional. And (please don't take this the wrong way) I think you should talk to a professional. NOT because you are crazy or a failure, but because you are clearly a wonderful person who can't see how amazing you are. You need help to see how amazing you are. So here are some things you can do:
Talk to an adult irl who won't judge. They may be able to give you the love and help that you need and DESERVE
Go to a group session for people your age that are dealing with similar things. This is what I did, and it helped SO MUCH.
If neither of these are an option for you, call/text/message a hotline. This one is from the Trevor Project, but you don't have to be queer to contact them.
I am SO PROUD of you for reaching out and recognizing that things are difficult right now. Now, I need you to reach out to someone who can help you get some help, because you DESERVE it.
Remember that you are so loved.

Ingoring the world as I was writing in my notebook, I was writing genshin fanfic, not that anyone knew what it was but still. I had to much free time in this world and I might as well do the things I've been pushing off right?
The story had a lot of mention of all the ships i wanted while also following the story of the game though not fateful since I was changing a few things here and there to suit my fangirl shipping needs.
At the current moment I was writing about Fontaine and the trail of childe and currently lummie was panicked as she watched said male stamp down and was trying to get to him. After all watching you boyfriend get hurt (battle manic or not this was different).
Currently she was about to toss some guards who dare stop her and I was getting excited for the next part that flutter in my head to make it to the page only to feel a hand on my shoulder that made me jump bringing me out of my zone. And I turn to the person who dare touch me!
Ah but a familiar face and I glared at said person. "What the hell?" The male who i did my best to glare out laughed.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scary you, just wanted to ask you who was right, but you seemed to not be paying attention." Ace moved to reach for my note book. And I was quick to pull it close.
"Well I don't need to know whats going on to know that all parties unless Jack is involved are wrong." I glared more and held tightly to the notebook.
"Oh come on, at least listen to it before deciding." Ace sighed in a way it was hard to tell if it was real or fake.
I narrowed my eyes for a.moment before returning the notebook to my bag than looked to them. "Fine than hit me with the question than." Honestly I need an ice pack already.
I watched as duece seemed to try and stop ace from talking and I glanced to the teacher up in front and sighed. Ehyup the guy was going to let me handle it, if only if I was in crewel's or trein's class than I wouldn't be forced to play babysitter.
Looking back to the two idoits I wonder if I should wake grim to yeet him at ace's face. But quickly dismissed it as being cruel to the feline.
After a bit ace manged to speak while in the middle of a headlock. Which honestly was mildly impressive, since duece was a formal gangster. If only his question wasn't crude and way to embarrassing to respond to. Well in real life anyway if this was online it would be a lot easier again so envious of idia and his ability to avoid most people and just do everything via online.
Not wanting to deal with it as well I turn to duece. "Finish him" I could just imagen the mortal kombat voice as duece was making ace suffer for a bit more before looking around the room and I could tell the teacher seemed unamused and I sighed and told deuce that was enough, and they should stop before we end up in detention.
Which was all that needed to be said for the male to release ace. After that I sighed deeply. And mumbled under my breath about a bet.
Though it seemed ace the hound dog since once he hears something he goes after it till he gets his answers l unfortunately I seemed to give him that. And I didn't realize it till an arm moved to wrap around me making me tense at the physical contect and I really needed that off me and yo sanitize my clothes at the touch.
"What bet? And whats the pot like?" From the nudging I knew he wanted more answers but I could only curse since I didn't think it would be wise to say it, but than again maybe it would turn the favor for my side? Or it could also have the opposite effect which I rather not happen.
"Its really none of your business, since its just something I discovered from all my running about." Or rather more so started because of a disagreement with a few of the guys from the anime/manga club, while we were discussing some bl stuff (not all the guys here wanted women it seems)
And I don't recall how it started, maybe after one of my complaining session, one of the guys suggested that maybe duece and ace were an item which I rejected since I doubted it and while I don't like the thought of having a shipping fandom for real people.
I did find myself sort of wondering if ace and riddle were something with how they interacted. And sure I wasn't use to guy friendships... well not fully I can tell the difference between friendship and something else. Cause surly the oddities were not nothing. And when I pointed it out one of the heart's student did mention something between riddle and ace since they did interact a lot more so than one would expected a housewarden and one of its many students.
And from there after much discussion we found ourself on a little bet. Though that bet didn't seem to stay with in the club and actively spread outwards and now a good few three dozen people knew about it from different grades and from what I noted it gets a tad bigger and someone even threw in a few other suggestions on im fully in denial about due to my crush on trey, but we will ingore that.
I quickly shook my head, trying to rid myself of those thoughts, no rather right now I needed to think of a way to get the heck out of this before some of the other bets we got going on get exposed as well.
"Than tell me" Ace was pushing and maybe he doesn't realize it but he was in fact hurting me. glancing to find someone to help me, because I wanted the hand off my shoulder squeezing a tad to hard on the flesh under my shirt (why did I decide to take off the jacket earlier?)
"Mr trappola can you stop causing a disturbance and get back to work? We need to move along with the next unit and this horse playing isn't going to improve your grades." The ol so lazy teacher to the rescue at last!
Ace groaned a bit and let go to sit in his seat. The pain where his hand had been still stung, and I ingore the urge to rub at the pain, and fixed my stuff and gave Grim a few pets to try and ease me the discomfort I felt and than sanitize my hand clean before going back to class stuff, and hoping maybe to come up with some half truth or lie to tell ace later.

hello! i have been really loving your podcast lately, but i gotta say the percy jackson episode was pissing me off a little cuz you guys were getting a lot of it wrong and were kinda being rude about it? i had to stop listening and im just wondering if you ever bring in actual fans/experts to fact check or guest host for episodes that you know less about. no personal offense intended! i really enjoy the podcast generally but as an old fan of pjo it was disappointing to listen to.
Hi -- V here! -- I am also a fan of PJO, so anything that I got wrong was just genuinely misremembered (likely getting confused from reading/writing fanfiction!).
The only things I'd be rude about on purpose re: PJO or any of RR's writing is that
1) he is terrible about the ages of his canon pairings a lot of the time, and
2) I think that sometimes he includes unnecessary scatological humor in an attempt to condescend to "kid humor."
But I literally just read an RR book today, so no rudeness was intended, as I am genuinely a fan! :)
The Luke/Annabeth stuff just really grosses me out, as do Hazel/Frank and Sadie/Walt -- only from an age perspective! (And if the characters weren't LITERALLY TWELVE, I would have no issue with their age gaps and not think they were a big deal at all. But dude. These girls are LITERALLY TWELVE, and 16/17-year-old boys should NOT be looking at them.)
To this point we have not had "expert guests" come on for any episodes/fandoms, because that just isn't the format of the show, but it's something we're considering for next year (2024, I mean). If nothing else, I think we're considering having people give us primer sessions on fandoms that we don't know well before we record... but PJO is one of my biggest fandoms, so I would not have considered it as one we needed a primer for tbh.
I kind of personally feel like guests would be a fundamental change to the format of the show, so I'll admit that it's me (hi, I'm the problem, it's me) who is not necessarily super jazzed about it. Frankly, I am so painfully shy that the idea of having to cold-reach out to people I don't know to find guests makes me feel physically sick. It would also essentially become a completely different podcast if we turned it into an interview show.

Flowers: Printemps
I made it! The review of Flowers: Printemps is done before the Winter stream tonight. @iscahwynn usually I ask the patron before I write the review if there’s anything they’d like me to answer, but I was in a crunch, a bit, so if there is anything you’d like me to answer, just let me know and I’d be happy to! 2300 words.
Firstly, I made a mistake. Before I go into this, I want to say: A) The mistake was mine. B) If I had to fuck up in this way, I am so very glad that I did it for someone who has always been a really wonderful and understanding patron. C) Thank god it was for a series that I would go on record as saying I broadly enjoy.
That being said, I am never taking a visual novel commission again. I charged for it like a book review, and it probably took me three or four times as long to complete. I don’t know what IDIOT thought I had in my head that I could completel a visual novel as quickly as an actual novel, and that the only thing slowing me up was the streaming, but I was out of my goddamn mind. So! Iscah has gotten the only visual novel commission that will ever exist, because what I’d have to charge for it even at the lowball per hour I do book reviews, it would be too high.
OKAY NOW TO THE ACTUAL GAME.
Trying to figure out how I feel about this game, contrasted with the other two. Autumn is most definitely my favorite. Yuzuriha made me absolutely insane, but in a way that by the end of the game, was affectionate in nature, really. I think I actually would have liked her more from the get-go if I had played the two games before it first, because I would have been more used to her bullshit. Or maybe not! Autumn gave me a chance to get at the core of Yuzuriha’s weird stuff, so by the time I was playing Spring, places where I very much would be annoyed with her (And sometimes still am: I swear to god if she asks if it’s that time of the month again I’m gonna blow) I rolled my eyes and simply said, “Oh my god, you ain’t shit Yuzu” and moved on with my day. Like, I know she’s a fucking loser so it didn’t bug me.
ANYWAY, Autumn was definitely the best of the two as far as storyline, school uniforms, and everything else. But I can’t decide if I like this or Summer better.
I like Erika a LOT more as a character. She is still my ultimate fave, and she and Chidori are my ultimate couple. But the way they treat Erika’s disability in Summer hugely rankles me, and it’s just a level of infantilization that is largely absent in Spring and Autumn. I’m not going to waste 86% of this review of Spring litigating the problems I had with Summer’s engagement with a disabled character, so suffice to say it was deeply annoying.
Spring’s pacing is horrendous. I mean, in a way that I found not fun. This took me forever to play not only because playing a visual novel takes much much more time than reading a book, but also because sometimes halfway through a session I would find myself bored and distracted, which, I mean I know I’m an ADHD shit, but isn’t an issue I had much with the other two games, and I don’t think that was just because of the streaming. I’ve been bored with things I was actively streaming before. I think it just maanges to constantly feel like you are spending forty years in the desert. Which is a bummer, because the moments that land are so very good.
Anyway, let’s talk about some of the moments and characters and we’ll see if I can reach a conclusion.
I think part of the trouble here is that I don’t emotionally connect with Suoh. I find a lot of her “thing” extremely, I guess, self-centered. She is so convinced that people are thinking about her and looking at her, and so every moment of her life she has to be thinkling about how she can’t have friends because she’s just SO awkward, and I know I should feel bad for her, I know that is the intention of the narrative, but when she’s fucking SURROUNDED by people who are being nothing but kind nad warm to her and constantly being told how gorgeous she is, it all comes off a bit pathetic. That being said! Characters like Suoh are most definitely NOT my thing, and I get that and I own that. It’s the ‘sad nerd’ thing, which is not a character archetype I connect with at all.
This is going to sound strange but I really love the love triangle here. I gotta be me: I ort of wish Mayuri would have stayed liking Rikka and having to let down Suoh. But I know where I am! Buy the ticket, take the ride, and I wasn’t disappointed the way I was with say, Autumn, because at no point did the game REALLY let me think that they weren’t going to get together if I grew my flower right. But I enjoyed that, at least for a pretty large series of moments, we had Mayuri in love with Rikka instead of both fighting over Suoh. I thought that was great.
I actually thought the Bloody Mary stuff was really fun and creepy! It’s been my favorite handling of any of the Seven Mysteries thus far. I felt the tension was really good, and unlike Rikka, I really enjoy a good ghost story.
I also really enjoyed, and they do this a couple times but I’m thinking of the time with Mayuri in the baths in particular, the way they switched between times. So it would be a few hours or a day agao, and now. I wish they had done more of that in later games, though I can see how some people might have found it clunky. On that moment, as a small aside, boy was I about to murder the Sasakis for getting in the way of the big lesbian confession.
The Sasakis! It’s funny because I told Iscah this game made me like Ringo and Ichigo more than any other game had managed. I never disliked them, but they weren’t endeared to me the way they are now, and iscah told me a lot of people really disliked the Sasakis in this game, because, well, they’re little shits. They play a prank on Souh that’s a little mean-spirited, admittedly. They fucking fake a disappearance. They unintentiuonally out Mayuri. I would die for them. I can see where people are coming from, but they aren’t actively mean people, they’re just little goblins who think of something funny and then have no further thoughts beyond that. I DON’T wish I had played this before Fall, because I doubt I would have had as much faith in the series as I did, but I feel like the who Yuzu dating situation might have landed with me a bit better if I had known them so well and had the capacity to feel bad for them that I do now.
On Mayuri, boy don’t the writers think they’re being cute here! I figured out that her secret was the she was a lesbian really early in the game, for two reasonms. Number one, I’ve consumed a gay media. But number two, oh my god they are so obvious about it, up to and including--and this is the one I am openly and without apology making fun of-- having the Sasakis call her “Yuri” for short.
So That I expected and loved, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a little taken aback by the fact that the secret isn’t that she’s a lesbian, or rather, not jsut that, but that she fell in love with her nanny, a woman that she herself says was like a mother to her. I know that not everyone has the deep level of squick I do for anything that isn’t QUITE incest, but has a familial level of closeness tied into  it. I know that I think that’s fine. But for me, it was extremely, “can we not?” I mean, unless I’m deeply mistaken about the state of Japan, I think there’s still enough embarrassment about being a lesbian that Mayuri could feel strange about it. Or she could just be a weirdo! Or she could have been rejected before! There are so many options here that don’t necessarily have to be falling in love with a parental figure.
I LOVE LOVE Rikka forcing Suoh to be in a relationship with her. 800 points to Rikka Hanbishi for being so much more interesting than I have ever found her in any Floweers property thus far! And they did it by making her terrible! She is deeply besotted with Suoh, and at first early in the game that’s very cute and for awhile I just feel really bad for her because if you ask human beings named Doc who are me, Mayuri acts a little bit like an ass in the beginning
One thing this whole series of games does, and I think it does it really well, is have a light touch with people’s backstories. I DESPERATELY want to know more about Rikka being adopted and feeling like she will never ever measure up to the family she’s been adopted into. I want to hear so much more about that, and we fucking DON’T, and that’s so normal and real and natural, and I think it is such an amazing touch from a genre, not just visual novels, but yuri manga and anime are abd about this too, that tend to dump backstory on you. I am in love with and obsessed with their choices here. Same with how we never hear much about Erika’s family and we never find out why she can’t walk. She just can’t, and that’s that. Same with so much of Nerine’s backstory. I love it!
I do find it weird when Suoh is worried that other people won’t acept her for *reads notes* being emotionally abused by her stepmother? Mayuri I get. Mayuri’s thing is very fucking weird and I could see how people would be a little “eeeehhh” about it, but Suoh doesn’t have that. Under what banner could she possibly be rejected?
ADORE that she fails at the recital, that there’s this whole buildup about the soloist and accompanist having this deep bond, and you know it’s gonna be Mayuri and you’re expecting this beautiful clear, moment, and she fails! Suoh fails! She can’t get through the song! I was not expecting that at all, and I was so excited about it. What an amazing choice, to have the heroine fail.
I expected so so much more of Mayuri’s disappearance, and I am genuinely a little disappointed. So much is made of it in the latter two games, especially Summer, and so I was expecting a lot of emotional turmoil, and heaviness, and whispers, and drama. But, bitch is gone for like four minutes, including the credit roll. I’m with Chidori here, “What? It’s not like she died.” and so I think it actually made me scoff a bit more at so much being made of it in Summer, because I don’t think they ever really let the emotional resonance of the situatiuon sit with me in Spring. So, I’m glad I have the backstory for Winter. I am now totally set up to get what’s going on through Winter. But I don’t feel any more connection to Mayuri’s disappearance.
Hopes for Winter:
More Erika! I can never have too much Erika. I hope they treat her well, also.
This is me beginning for disappointment, I fear but I actually would like to see Rikka and Suoh get together. I know I shouldn’t, I know I should want Rikka’s overeagerness to not be rewarded, but sometimes I’m a soft touch and can’t help myself.
I don’t know if we’re supposed to get anything resolved with the Seven Mysteries, but I assume we’re going ton find out something about Mayuri’s disappearance? So maybe, anyway, i’d love to see more stuff that’s not just Sister Dahlia fuckin around or whatever.
In this game, Suoh has a line that I specifically wrote down, that she had many experiences this year at the academy “more bad than good” and I’m curious to see how that comes out. What? Mayuri disappeared? People have been really good to you here, Suoh, please explain.
BULLET POINT THOUGHTS FROM MY NOTES
The ballet fanservice seems very feminine. It is light, and sexy but in a very casual and airy way
If in fact the Japanese translation of, I guess, the ENTIRE chronicles of Narnia she's reading have changed lines to be more palatable, I think that sucks
"Foreign literature can have hidden ideas implied in the text" suoh I hate to inform you this is just called literature
This flower shit is INSANE when we could just...see that one of v these books is Erika's
Both neris father and grandfather were priests I'm DYING, and sister dhalia’s father too? Holy fuck no one in this game understands how priesthood works, fuck me ahahah
Oh my God is ichigo talking about a dogs purpose? That book was annoyingly mawkish
Just how mentally weak are you? Fuck I love erika. If you don't want to do it you can just refuse YES. In general,  as an American rural jew, I have no patience for the 87 levels of politeness of Japanese,  but the way erika weaponizes them and the way the narrative KNOWS SHE IS DOING IT gives me such fondness
Encounters on spring tying together in summer ripening in fall melting together in winter hmmmm

i know apathorax from arjun reddy movie 😶 is it what it is?? help i dont even remember. isnt it beside the chest of a human?? the flesh part?? tell me tell me. well i havent been interested into coding but i need to start to learn how to code.
since you said you have coded, tell me the basic coding languages i need to know + how your teachers taught you caelin! i badly want tips to learn. like i have so many reels saved on my ig about coding + tips
same pinch, but i have been stanning them since on era and i think i was a hardcore fan until they dropped butter. i lost interest because same, their music started to change and started concentrating on the west. soo, i used to love the old bts caelin :(
hell no!!! when i used to watch yuzuru hanyu skating videos, i got into figure skating and then random videos used to pop up, even i used to know sunghoon before he debuted 🥲 i didnt watch like all of his performances but watched the best ones in his career ^^ he grew up so well.
yup!!! when fever was dropped, engenes knew it was a banger. damn it everyone on twitter asked whose song was this and engenes were like, huhu its enhypen \(^_^)/ hooray hahga. even i agree with you fever was and is the best bside i have ever heard from them.

— lover club anon <33
jay fic was posted, i hope it reached you well ^^ also, good luck with starting a writing account omg .. you can start with texts since they are a quick read and attract more audience !!! however, headcanons aren't bad either ... it really is your choice :O
i will tell him to do well in 10th, although he wastes all his time playing valo / forza horizon TT i don't know how easy or difficult the school exams have gotten, i've been so out of the loop ever since i graduated >< hope your sister does well too in boards ^_^
and omg bipc is fun but i'm sure pcm is just as interesting :O you have a fear of blood and needles so maybe you weren't meant for the OT but rather for doing other big things in like ... let's be positive !!! also, i think you mean apothorax ?? it's part of thorax containing heart and lungs ^^ i was studying about mediastinum today .. it's too much to take in. there's so much information and so little space in my brain .. sometimes i wonder if i will be able to remember all the things _ _;
also, i studied coding in highschool so i don't know how helpful my tips will be for college since you're definitely going to learn much much more there :O i think html css is basic and important ( for example, tumblr's who website theme and post format is based on html css ) javascript, python are important too since they're in demand. i'm afraid we didn't learn a lot in school except what was in theory .. didn't have many lab sessions and the most we did was python and html css since that was the main focus ( i hate python like whatever the hell that is ... )
i also started with hanyu !!! and then came across cha junhwan, yuna kim, ilia malinin and all though the international tournaments and all. i remember being so interested in fs, i watched the 4cc tournaments during classes TT i actually came across sunghoon through junhwan, watched his videos and then moved on like .. i didn't see him at the competitions so i thought he quit :O never looked him up for me to know he was a trainee / idol
AND YEAH fever is truly the queen, i can never get tired of it. border : carnival in itself is an amazing album. what's your fav album of them so far? fav b-side and title tracks? i need to know ><

this and then some
pairing: midoriya izuku x fem!reader x bakugou katsuki
word count: 9.3k. this is the longest thing I’ve ever written
summary: you’re fucked up, and it’ll be a long time before you’re okay again. but you’re not alone, a helping hand no matter where you look part 1
warnings: angst, depression, nightmares, smoking, reader has a quirk, Bakugou may or may not have tattoos, smut (minors dni) oral, p in v, threesome, cream pie
a/n: there is a lot happening here. no I did not edit it. lemme know what you think
Tumblr media
The only time you’re comfortable is when you’re at home or with Midoriya. Other than that you’re not comfortable, you’re deadly. Not even a minute ago you made the therapist recommended by Bakugou flinch just by looking at him. You know what you are, no one has to tell you. You’re a monster — comfortable with the uncomfortable. Apparently, that is the problem. Blinking, you come back to yourself. The doctor is sitting, relaxed, binder resting on his lap. Face open and interested. There is no judgment or pity, no fear. As he sits there calmly, you have to wonder if your eyes are still black and soulless, or  if they have returned to their natural color — has he figured out it’s a part of a trauma response.
“Do you feel guilty?”
“Yes.” It’s an honest answer.
“For what?”
 “For being alive.”
“Are you suicidal?”
“No.” Another honest answer.
The doctor scribbles in the binder. The sound of the pen scratching on your raw nerves. You can’t survive much more of this. You’ve admitted enough for one day. Your emotions always drain you. You’re thankful that you have the night off. All you want is a hot shower, a cigarette, and your bed. If they need to reach you, they know where to find you.
“We’ve made good progress today. I’m very impressed with the direction we’re going. A complete one-eighty compared to our last session. I can’t say sitting in silence passes the time quickly.” The doctor smiles at you as he stands to his feet. “You can schedule another appointment at the front desk. Enjoy your evening.”
You fly from your seat. Oh, god. Is this really supposed to make you feel better? What is with the scribbling? What is he writing? There is no right way to judge someone’s trauma, and you, you’re kind of fucked up. Is he expecting a certain outcome? When he brought up the guilt and the suicide... no one has ever asked you that before. That would be something people should ask, right? After what you went through? You couldn’t try to explain how many times the thought has passed your mind. But, in the end, that’s all it is. A passing thought. It’s here if you want it; if you ever need it.
It’s not a surprise that you’ve been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. Nor is it a surprise that it's taken three visits for you to finally start talking. The sessions last an hour and you itch for a cigarette the whole time. That’s one thing you will not be giving up anytime soon. You’re not looking as you walk out of the therapist's office. Head bent as you dig into your bag. Fuck, you need a cigarette. Your hands are shaking, leather gloves on to hide your lack of self control. Skipping the front desk you make your way to the door beyond ready to get the hell out. A large hand yanks at your arm, pulling you to a stop. Venom coats your tongue, but the nastiness in your bite dies down when you see who it is. Carmine eyes narrow as he takes you in. He’s standing a few feet out of the empty waiting room. Your blood boils with annoyance, ignoring the way your heart swells and your whole body sings when he wraps his arm around your shoulders and kisses your forehead.
“What are you doing here?” The question comes out meaner than you intend it to, body stiffening with the closeness he provides.
“Didn’t think you’d want to be alone.” He pauses, looking at you. His stare is so intense it makes you frown. “Are you okay?”
“I don’t need a babysitter, Bakugou.”
“Watch it, sweetheart.”
“No! Both you and Izuku get notified when I arrive at my appointments. Why are you here?”
In a blink of an eye, Bakugou has his hand wrapped around your throat, back pinned against the wall. You’re the last appointment of the day — no prying eyes to see the number two hero lose a bit of his cool.
“If I was Deku, I’d fuck that bad attitude right outta you.”
“Well you’re not. Too bad, so sad.”
This is normal for you. You push each other's buttons. But right now it is not what you need. You need a fucking cigarette and the quiet peace that an empty apartment brings. A muscle in his jaw ticks, eyes darkening as he stares down his nose at you. Bakugou takes a deep breath, and you know he’s trying not to lose his shit.
“Go get in the car, you damn brat.”
He doesn’t move until you do. Staring at him, refusing to blink in case he uses the brief moment to his advantage. Grinding your teeth, you turn on your heel and head out of the building. You shrug past him, hand back in your bag. They're in there, along with your lighter. Might as well get it over with now, because you know Bakugou’s going to complain about you stinking up his car regardless.
His eyes never stray from you, watching you in your victory as you pull out the crumpled carton and a Dynamight lighter. He snorts when you flick the lighter, catching the end of the stick in a glowing ember. The first drag instantly stills your hands. Fingers flexing in sweet relief. Nothing like a quick fix after reliving your literal worst fucking nightmare.
A canopy of vibrantly colored leaves sway softly in the warm early-summer air, blending beautifully into the warmth of the orange sherbet skyline. The sun cuts between two buildings, lighting up Bakugou in a heavenly glow. It’s not the first time you realized how handsome he is. He leans against the passenger door waiting for you, a bored look on his face. Pulling in another drag, you blow the smoke away from him, watching as his nose wrinkles at the scent.
You’re tired. Emotionally exhausted. Ready for a long shower and the comfort of your bed. While it’s normal to hear from the guys, especially Izuku, the uncomfy feeling settling in your chest puts you on alert. Eyeballing the blond next to you as you take in another drag, you keep watch for small details. Some kind of shift, a give, something that would let you in on what’s going on. You could be patient. Waiting a little while wouldn’t kill you. Tossing the bud on the ground, Bakugou beats you to it – heavy boot stomping out the remaining light of the cigarette before he bends down to pick it up and toss it in a nearby trash can.
Your eyes don’t stray from him as he opens your door. Nor do they stray as he makes his way to the driver’s side and starts the ignition.
“What is it?”
“Nothin’.”
“You’re a shitty liar.”
Bakugou snarls. “Do you give Deku this much shit?”
“He answers my questions.”
“Only because he’s pussy whipped.” Bakugou comments, causing you to snort.
“Pussy whipped? Is that my quirk?” You giggle, resting your chin in the palm of your hand, noting how he’s deflecting, but you’ll give it to him for now.
“It’s not my fault the shitty nerd wants to jump your bones.”
“Oh my god,” you groan, turning your head to stare at him. “Jump my bones? You’re such an old man. So he cares, didn’t realize that means he wants to fuck me. You care, does that mean you want to fuck me too?”
He totally wants to fuck you. He’ll never say it, even though you already know. Especially because he knows that Midoriya has feelings for you.
Bakugou doesn’t take you straight home. Forcing you to go out and mingle. It puts you on edge because of your therapy session. Normally you can decompress with only Midoriya keeping you company. This feels like a damn UA reunion. The bar is small, familiar, and the music pounds against the inside of your skull— the bass rattling around in your chest. You’re overwhelmed, but you can’t ignore the way your heart soars at seeing your friends. You’ve kind of forgotten how much you like other people. But you’re exhausted, weary, keeping everyone at an arm's length.
Your eyes scan the bar. It’s been almost thirty minutes since you got here. It’s a Saturday night and the bar is busy. No green curls in sight. No freckled face spotted anywhere. Your shoulders deflate. If everyone else is here, why isn’t he?
“Who you lookin’ for, sweetheart?”
You glance sideways. “Wouldn’t like to know.”
Bakugou only grins. “Your boy ain’t here yet. Had a meeting, I believe.”
Fucking hell. Are you really that hopeless when it comes to him? So exposed that even Bakugou can tell that your head over heels for Midoriya? It’s not like it’s your fault. If you had it your way, you’d be happy with your own company. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, I think you do. Because as much as you pine for him, Deku is a dumbass.”
“What do you mean?”
“He hasn’t noticed, sweetheart. You’re still that hopeless girl in the back of the class. You need to do something to make him see you.”
His words sink in. It’s surprising to you that Midoriya hasn’t told him that he’s fucking you on the regular. That you’re damn near in an exclusive relationship. Your teeth bite into your cheek, hands fiddling with the hem of your dress. You don’t miss the way Bakugou’s eyes take you in. His gaze lingering on your bare thighs. You huff out a small laugh, pulling his attention back to your face.
Oh, there it is. Because if you know how Bakugou feels, then so does Midoriya.
You and Bakugou have a weird relationship. He annoys you to no end but you trust him with your life. Pretty sure you’re the only one in the bar that does. Bakugou’s been protective of you since you met at UA. A relationship without the relationship, you suppose.
“Can always stir the pot,”
You blink. “What?”
“Make him jealous, sweetheart.” A snort escapes you and you slap a hand over your mouth. Bakugou cracks a knowing grin, his head falling back with a deep chuckle. “Oh, sweet girl.”
“I have no one to make him jealous. Even if I did, that’s a stupid idea. What am I, in eighth grade?”
“Honey, look at who you’re talkin’ to.”
Red eyes devour you when you look up at him. He is right. No one gets under Midoriya’s skin more than Bakugou. You bite your lip, unsure. You shouldn’t. You really, really shouldn’t. But there’s a fire in Bakugou’s eyes, like he’s got a point to prove. Playing with the hem of your dress, you scrape the toe of your shoe against the floor. Fuck it, really, what do you have to lose?
“What are we going to do, exactly?”
Bakugou raises his hand, cupping the side of your face. His thumb lightly drags over your bottom lip before pulling it down. He pulls it away and looks down at the faintly smeared mauve color now on the pad. He lifts it up to his mouth and rubs it in.
“What are you doing?”
His lips tilt into a knowing smirk. “Teasin’.”
He’s going to get you in trouble. Lifting a hand to your own mouth, it’s smacked lightly. Sharp eyes glare at him.
“Go pick out a song. Let’s dance.”
“Dance?”
“Yeah, sweetheart, dance. Now go, and pick out a good one.”
You roll your eyes but do as you're told. Eyes follow you the whole way to the jukebox. You lean over, just a bit, the bottom of your dress rising up to tease. Flipping through the songs, you pause a few pages back, a knowing smile taking over your face. Putting the money in, you twirl back to face Bakugou. When the song starts playing he laughs.
“Honey, you are playin’ dirty.”
“You started it.”
“Y’r askin’ for trouble.”
An eyebrow raises. “Pot, meet kettle.”
Bakugou doesn’t say anything else. His hand grabs for yours, his arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you tightly to him. You can’t help but gasp when his thigh slots between yours. Tightening your grip on his shoulder, he twirls you both out and makes room to have a dance floor. The other patrons cheer while watching. A few cat calls thrown your way. A carefree laugh makes its way from you. It’s been a long time since you’ve felt this way. It’s silly, really. To think that teasing a grown ass man made you feel this way.
“Just a heads up, sweet girl, Deku’s been watching since you went to pick out the song.”
Your heart drops. What now? You go to turn your head, to try to find him, anything, really, but are stopped short. Bakugou slides his hand into your hair, keeping you still. “Stop. Y’r gonna to ruin it. I can see his fucking vein bulging from here.”
This is a good thing, right? This is what you wanted? His attention? Really, it’s not like you never had it to begin with. Bakugou knows what he’s doing. He’s never led you astray before. Hopefully he won't start now. Bakugou lets you go, hanging you out with one hand before twirling you around. You’re facing away from him now, and you come face to face with Midoriya. You inhale sharply, the smell of him overwhelming you.
“What’s going on here?” He asks, no preamble.
“We’re dancing, I know you have eyes, Deku.”
Midoriya looks from Bakugou down at you. Head to toe his eyes blaze over you. A fire touching your skin. Licking at the top of your exposed breasts and down your thighs. You can see his lips twitch. The man knows you. His hand reaches out, pinches the fabric of the dress, rolling it between his fingers. It’s his favorite color, and by the look in his eyes you know he knows you wore it just for him.
“Hey baby girl.”
“Hi Izuku.”
“Couldn’t wait for me, huh?”
You frown. Opening your mouth to talk, you’re promptly cut off. “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”
Midoriya shrugs. You follow after him to the table where all your friends are. Most of them try their hardest to look as if they aren’t watching this scene play out like a movie. You jump up to sit on the table, grabbing your drink and taking a sip. You hand Bakugou his beer, his glare still on the man beside you. Neither of them say anything for a long time. They just stare, having a silent conversation that you don’t know how to decipher.
“Didn’t know you had a thing for Bakugou, baby.” Midoriya finally says.
You snort, ignoring Bakugou’s smirk. “He wishes.”
“That why your lipstick is on his mouth?”
“Who’s mouth should it be on? Wouldn’t want it to go to waste.” Holy fuck, he’s trying to get you into fucking trouble. Widened eyes look at Bakugou, his face more stoic than you’ve ever seen it.
“What does that mean?”
Bakugou huffs, taking a pull from his beer. “All I’m saying Deku, is that you’ve got a hell of a woman hanging off every word you say. Waiting on you to finally do something. So, you better fuck her before I do.”
Did he know you could hear him? You’re sitting like two feet away. Neither of the men were backing down and it’s making your anxiety spike. They’ve always been at each other's throats. You’re not sure when their little feud became about you.
“Did she say that?”
“Say what?”
“Did she say that she wanted you to fuck her?”
There was no hiding the smugness in Midoriya’s tone. Hook, line, and sinker. The boldness of a man who has already made you come on his cock and tongue more times than you can count. A muscle twitches in Bakugou’s jaw from how hard he’s clenching his teeth. Suddenly, he glances over at you and you know you must look like a deer caught in headlights. He sighs but it doesn’t sound like one of defeat. More like he’s losing his patience.
He steps towards you, thumb trailing over your bottom lip. “If it doesn't work out with him, sweetheart. You know where to find me.”
Bakugou turns without looking at either of you again and makes for the jukebox. Your lips quirk up when you recognize the song.

Mina and Kaminari buy you drink after drink. God bless Kiri for helping you by downing them. You drank two and a half, maybe. It’s late, after midnight. Still young for you; your shoulders brush against Bakugou and Midoriya as you walk down the empty street on your way home. Bakugou doesn’t say much, but he watches. Out of all the eyes constantly on you, his makes you feel safe.
Rough fingers catch your wrist. A small smile tugs your painted lips, delicate grin mirroring Midoriya’s as you glance at him. It’s in the quiet you realize — you’re all sober. Bakugou left his car in favor of humoring you.
But maybe you should’ve driven.
Midoriya’s eyes fall on you when you squeeze his hand a little tighter. You live roughly three blocks away from the bar, an easy walk to and from home. Even if sometimes the walk home is late into the night. It isn’t like you’ve never walked home alone before. You’ve walked it alone about every weekend. Tonight, tonight feels different.
You aren’t afraid to admit that you’re a little paranoid. Everyone around you knows it. Your eyes are always searching the shadows, always watching people in crowded environments. To you, it was normal. The hair standing up on the back of your neck? That isn’t. Neither is the knot that tightens every few seconds in the pit of your stomach. Eyes are on you, that much you know. You don’t like it. Not one bit.
“Hey,” Bakugou murmurs, pulling your attention to him. stopping in the middle of the alley, five minutes away from home. “You okay?”
You watch as he lifts his hand, his knuckle running along your cheekbone. Always so observant, both him and Midoriya. Even in the dead of night you can’t miss the beauty of how you contrast each other. Both inside and out. Your aura is ebony, dark as midnight. If someone shook you like a snow globe, only dark ash would fall. But Bakugou is bright, beautiful—all molten lava, and raging fire. He’s blinding; that knowing smirk he wears doesn’t do him justice. It’s that small tilt of his lips that pulls the truth from you.
“No.” You state simply. Your bare fingers tug on Midoriya’s hand to continue your walk home.
It’s silent, and the pace moves a beat faster. You couldn’t be more thankful.
“You look dead on your feet. Been working too hard. Making the rest of us look bad.”
“You’re not funny.”
“What do you mean,” Midoriya says as he pushes open the door for you, “You of all people know I’m a hoot.”
You roll your eyes, not wanting to egg him on. You follow him silently up the stairs and into your apartment rushing past him to get to the bathroom first. You’re sure Bakugou will crash on the couch, Midoriya taking up residence on the other side of your bed. You don’t want to be out there for that conversation. You sigh when the door is shut and locked. Hands instantly reaching to turn the water on. The first taste of relief you’d felt since leaving the apartment this morning. There isn’t shaking the icky feeling that clung to you. You always feel safe with your two favorite heroes, but in the back of your mind, you know it had to do with earlier.
Shaking your head you step into the tub, wincing a bit; not realizing how hot the water is. Sitting down, watching the water rush from the faucet. Your feet dance through, pink painted toenails peeking out. Your body is exhausted. Muscles wound tight, body rigid even when it shouldn’t be. You are constantly ready for war, and you despise it.
“You were so strong today. You never let them break you. keep that strength for as long as you can, angel.”
The water was cold, causing you to shiver. You had your legs pulled up tightly to your chest. For warmth and to cover yourself. A shaky breath escaped you when thick, callused hands began to massage your scalp, rubbing the shampoo into your soaked locks. This didn’t happen often, and you weren't going to complain when it did. You leaned into the warm grasp. Strong fingers digging into the muscles in your neck.
“Such a good girl, little one.”
You shoot out of the tub when a loud thump comes from the door. Your hands clutch at the sides, water spilling out, lungs burning with every cough. With trembling legs you pull yourself out of the now draining tub and wrap yourself tightly in your robe. You didn’t remember falling asleep. You barely remembered making it home.
“Hey, Izu?” You call as you open the door.
“Thank god. I thought you died in there. It’s been over an hour.” He rants, coming out of your room holding a pair of pajamas. He pauses, taking you in. “What happened?”
“Do you really think I should make another appointment?”
You aren’t sure that it’s helping. Not really. You know you need to talk to somebody. There’s no one who could understand what you went through, but you need to get it out. The visions, that voice; it’s going to kill you.
“Absolutely, baby girl. Having that bottled up inside of you, baby…that’s no way to live.”
Sleep takes its time. You stare at the ceiling watching the fan move in slow circles. You move to the living room to watch late night television on mute, doing your best not to disturb Bakugou — you’re sure that he was pretending for your sake — eventually ending outside on the balcony. Your gaze lingers on the sky, watching the stars dance. None of them are bright—too far away and too muted by the city lights to dazzle. You always knew they were beautiful. They had been when they were first born, and they are now in their death.
You aren’t sure what comes after death. Didn’t want to get your hopes up for something blissful, serene, and peaceful. With heaven came hell, and you couldn’t handle the thought that you’d fit right in with the devil.
Do you know what you are? You’re a demon. Nothing good comes with you. You spare no one. I don’t think you know how.
Your hands clench, the chains around your wrists jingling against the concrete floor. You couldn’t see him. You never saw him. Only ever heard his voice. He had a plan and it had worked. He was in your head. No way to put a face to it, no way to identify the man who had tortured you. You heard him in your sleep. When you were alone. You misplaced him; hearing him when others were talking.
Jingling caught your attention, eyes turning towards the door. Your breath caught in your throat when the door opened. His green eyes pierced you. He’s worn out, tired from a long day. But he knows. He always does — that knowing tilt of his head. These things are all familiar.
“Babe,” his voice is a shock to your system in the quiet of the night. “Can’t sleep?”
He walks around you, fingertips grazing your bare skin. You watch him, the best you can. Something is off. More than just his presence in this room. He’s different. Something is missing. Something obvious; important. You’re not scared of Midoriya. You never had been. If only because he has never been afraid of you.
“Does it really surprise you, baby girl?”
“Izu,” you want to touch him. you want to know this was real.
“I’m right here, baby.” He whispers in her ear. “I’m right here.”
Your head tilts, mind whirling. He's said that to you before. When? Certainly not during training or while on patrol. No, no, no. This isn't right. He isn’t supposed to be here. You aren’t supposed to be here. You shake your head, arms yanking at the chains. Your breathing comes out harder with each tug. It's only a dream. It is only a dream. One that’s quickly turning into a nightmare. You need out. Your head snaps up to where Midoriya is watching her. Concern colors his face, but he makes no move towards you.
“Help me!” You demand. “Come on, Izuku! Do something. Anything.”
“I’ve done everything for you, baby. I’m still doing everything.”
“I don’t know what that even means.”
Angel, he cannot save you. Nobody can save you. You cannot even save yourself.
You don’t understand. You don’t know. It’s all wrong. They never call you by your name. Your name echoes around her, bouncing around your head. Your eyes followed the voice, trying to recognize it. With the voice comes shaking. It feels like an earthquake, but it’s only you.
“Sweetheart!”
Drowning is the best way to describe it. To be submerged under water and breathing it all in, only to briefly come up to the surface. This is you breaking the waves, fighting the current. You gasp, eyes opening. One hand resting on your chest while the other pushes you up. You don’t have to look to already know. Your eyes are darker than the night above. They are endless—they don’t hold any beauty, no hidden galaxies. Tears gather in your eyes when you catch sight of Bakugou crouching down in front of you.
“Deep breaths, sweet girl. I got you.”
A sob lodges in your throat. It kills you that you can’t reach for him, to hold him to you for comfort. No, that’d make it so much worse. Bakugou simply sits next to you, as close as he can without touching. Enough for you to feel his warmth and to smell that intoxicating hot caramel scent that is all him. He doesn’t ask you questions, it’s not the time. Your hands tremble as they sit limply in your lap. You are more than happy to have him with you; to have someone comfort her. Your savior, the one who rescued you. But there was a longing lodging itself into your chest that was new to you. A feeling that you didn’t want to address. Especially if it was affecting your dreams. You wipe at your face, pulling yourself together the best you can. One slip up after months of control. It isn't bad, but it is slightly disappointing.
Once you calmed down and finally allowed him to touch you, Bakugou crawled into bed where he wrapped himself tightly around you, pinning your front Midoriya’s back. Your back to Bakugou’s chest, his deep breaths hitting the back of your neck. It kept you grounded, kept the nightmares at bay. It didn’t mean you got a lot of sleep. Your eyes burn every time you blink. This is your third cup of coffee and it tastes like shit because you ran out of creamer. Midoriya and Bakugou keep you from working. Saying something about needing a mental health day. You’re bored out of her mind and have resorted to scaring Midoriya because all you can do is play with your quirk. A slight tug pulls the corner of your mouth up. You aren’t  doing it too often, only when he isn’t expecting it. Like right now. You continue to follow him with your gaze, waiting.
Midoriya jumps, finally looking up at you. "God, you're terrifying. You need to stop that."
"I'm bored. Play with me."
"Go on a run with me. Maybe you'll actually wear yourself out."
You scoff. "I think not, Deku."
Midoriya sighs, his strong legs carrying him to the door. He pauses, one hand on the knob to look back at you. "Please, will you go lay down and try?"
Taking your small nod of agreement, he flashes you a smile and is out the door. The sound of a clock on the wall drones through the living room. You can’t bring yourself to get up yet. You need sleep, it's obviously wearing you down, but you can’t do it. Nightmares are a bitch. When they are memories and they trick you into believing that  you’re still there, still under that torture—still so reliant on—you didn't want any part of it.
"Do it for Izu. Come on."
Your head is heavy when you finally bring yourself to your feet. Your legs on autopilot as  they carry you into your room. Shaky hands dragged the blankets back, climbing into the large bed and curling into a ball. Your eyes close, and you pray to whoever is listening that your mind will leave you alone.
Tumblr media
You sit up with a start. Your heart beating wildly, blood pounding in your ears. Shaky, black hands reach up and touch your throat. It has been years since that hand had been wrapped around her throat, but the bruises still felt raw — the feeling of each digit digging into your flesh haunted you. Your own personal demon. Memories, just memories. It is the voices coming from the kitchen that pull you out of your torture. Rubbing the unshed tears from your eyes, you stand on shaky legs. Moving to the door, opening it slowly, never taking your eyes off the ground. You’re out of your mind, but you didn't want to be an idiot and trip over your own feet.
"Hey, Izuku—"
Your words trail off when you finally glance up. Eyes wide you took in the familiar faces of Midoriya and Bakugou. Neither of them seem pleased to see you. You fall a step back when Bakugou stands taking slow, measured steps towards you. A harsh breath escapes when he reaches forward and places strong hands on your shoulders. He bends down to meet your eye level. Your gaze rakes all over his face. Trying to see what he does. You've only woken from a nightmare; you can’t possibly look as crazy as they were making you seem. Then you see it. Your reflection in his eyes. Your own eyes pitch black, black veins running down underneath them. Your hands raise, and you flinch, seeing the inky color almost up to your elbows, as if you're wearing gloves. The tears you had previously tried to wipe away are back again, one leaving a hot trail as it rolls down your cheek. You shake your head, denial starting to set in. It has been so long since the last time you  lost control, at least like this. You refuse to do that now.
"Sweetheart," Bakugou’s voice is soft, drawing your eyes back up to meet his. "Slow, deep breaths. You're okay. It's okay."
You struggle to breathe on your own, but he’s a great anchor. The weight of his hands keeping you grounded, the carmine of his eyes showing you that you’re okay. You are amazed to see yourself return to normal. In the blink of an eye the normal color of your irises is back, the veins retreating into your skin. By the time your breathing is back to normal and Bakugou finally steps away from you, your hands are fine. The dark color is nowhere in sight. You  inhale a deep breath and flex her fingers.
Your lips tilt in a smile when you look back up to Bakugou. "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
You catch your bottom lip in between your teeth and walk to the kitchen. Sitting beside Midoriya you grab an apple, trying your best to ignore his burning gaze in the side of your head. You’re going to have a long talk later; you’re sure of it. Sighing to yourself, you bite into the apple, doing anything to keep yourself busy.
“Babe?” Midoriya calls, his voice soft.
“Izu.”
“You want to talk about it?”
“No,” you whisper.
He doesn’t understand. You can’t blame him when you don’t really understand it all that much either. All you know is that you crave the feeling of home. Of something familiar. It’s a lingering feeling from whatever haunts you in your sleep. You know deep down that you aren’t nostalgic for a place. You’re missing someone. Someone that has carved their place.
You give a small smile before heading back to your room. You aren’t any good to anyone when you’re like this. Stuck in your head. You are always stuck in your head. You look down the hallway, feeling that strong pull, before softly closing the door.
Tumblr media
The cover of night helps hide the smoke. The cigarette hangs limp between your fingers, your hand dangling over the railing of the fire escape. You are finding some peace out in the quiet—well as quiet as the city could get. You can faintly hear the distant sounds of traffic. It’s something that doesn't quiet down, no matter the time. You bring your hand up to your mouth, taking another drag.
From where you sit snuggly on the patio, you can just make out the light tapping on your door. It amazes you how you can feel his energy even from so far away. You don’t say anything, don’t dare to move just in case he’s listening.
“I know y’r in there. Y‘ain’t that slick.”
“Fuck off.”
“Sweetheart,”
“Fine, fine.”
The door opens immediately to a concerned Bakugou in low slung gray sweatpants, no shirt. You quirk an eyebrow as your gaze takes him in. You knew he had tattoos. He has a full sleeve covering his left arm. What you never knew until now is that it came all the way down his side, playing peek-a-boo with the waistband on his underwear. You flash him a nervous smile when you meet his gaze, a smug smirk on his lips.
“What’s going on with you?” He asks as he plucks the cigarette out from between your fingers, putting it out in the Chargebolt ashtray on the table beside you.
“Nothing.”
“Don’t lie.”
“I’m not lying.”
“Your thoughts are very loud, sweetheart.”
You roll your eyes, turning from him. Your thoughts are not loud. All his statement means is that he pays too much attention to you. You aren’t sure how to feel about that. You tap your fingers in agitation. The leather makes a slapping noise against the glass table top. Your teeth gnaw at the inside of your cheek, your mind starting to wonder but is pulled back just as quick when Bakugou snatches up your hand. The look on his face tells you he couldn't take it anymore.
“You ask so many questions,” Bakugou whispers, “you won’t get answers this way.”
How did he know? Your eyes shut and you’re overwhelmed with the need to cry. This devastating grip wraps itself around your throat, making it hard to breathe. Forcing you to choke on your own sobs. All your sorrows, your secrets, your pain that you refuse to acknowledge. You don’t dare to ever let it show. You aren’t sure if he can see the storm raging in your head, the tornado tearing you apart from the inside out. By the time your eyes open again it’s passed like it had never been there. A figment of the imagination.
Glancing over at him, Bakugou isn’t watching you like you thought he would be. His gaze is cast out at the sky.
“I’m tired, Kats.”
His gaze drops to yours. “So, sleep.”
You laugh, a full-on belly laugh. “You say that like it’s easy.”
“It is. C’mon, I’ll show ya.”
Bakugou leads the way back into your bedroom, taking your hand and helping you through the window. Your eyes are getting droopy, stinging every time you blink. You watch as he falls back lazily against your headboard, taking up most of your bed. He kicks off his shoes before motioning you over to him. Slowly you crawl up the bed to lay amongst the sea of pillows. Sinking in their familiar comfort, the only thing visible was the top of Bakugou’s head.
A small giggle escapes you when he peeks over the mountain of pillows. He grins something wicked, scooting in all the while. Slowly, Bakugou brings his hand up, cupping your cheek. Your lashes flutter at the feeling of his calloused thumb running along your cheekbone. His hand lifts higher, fingers running through your hair. Sighing, head turning as you lean into him. Hesitant to let him help you, but desperate for it. You know he’d never let anything happen to you. He’d save you from yourself.
“I’m right here, sweetheart.” He whispers in your ear. “I’m right here.”
It’s quiet murmurs that pull you to the surface. Bakugou is still in bed with you, but you feel the familiar energy of Midoriya. Even in your groggy state you know that it’s tense. Somehow it’s your fault.
“— helping her.”
“Do you ask?”
“You act like it’s easy.” Midoriya says almost defensively.
“It isn’t. She needs structure. As much as you’re helping, you’re also weak when it comes to her.” Bakugou’s hand trails down your spine. “I know it’s hard, but therapy is going to stir shit up. She’s going to need you — need us.”
“I know, but —”
You roll over, eyes blurry but landing on Midoriya regardless. The room is dark, save for the moonlight shining in from the open window.
“What I need to do is not relive it. I don’t need to explain what happened to anybody. I wanted your help to get me back on my feet, not fix me. I’m not fucking broken, Izuku.”
There it is. The statement of the century. You swallow, never breaking eye contact with Midoriya. It’s a heavy moment, but you’ve said this before. It’s not something he isn’t aware of. That’s the thing. You have lived through more than most, and came out a survivor. That’s the thing about you, you’d bend before you’d break. You flinch when Bakugou’s hand grazes your cheek. Eyes widening when you see the wetness on his hand. You’re crying and you didn’t even realize.
Lifting your face so you meet his gaze, your lips tremble as you read the tenderness that Bakugou holds for you before cutting back over to Midoriya. The way he looks at you isn’t much different. He isn’t a bad guy. They aren’t the bad guys. In all actuality they’re pretty damn perfect. The type of perfection you could see yourself blindly following for the rest of your life if you let yourself. If you stopped to think about it, that’s what they're asking you—to trust them. To love them. To do by them as they have done by you.
Tumblr media
You’ve been staring off into space a lot. Dissociation, they call it. Your mind wanders so far off that you can’t hear anyone in the present yelling for you. You don’t see that it worries them. Didn’t think about how your patrols with Midoriya are slightly shorter. You also don’t notice that Bakugou is around more. Taking you home from work, hanging out with you when Midoriya is busy. You’re never alone, never by yourself. Shifts are longer for them to keep an eye on you. You’re off in your own little world.
You haven’t found peace. Couldn’t begin to explain what that is or how it feels. It’s something that’s been missing for a long time now. The dreams still come at night. You’re still restless, fingers constantly tapping on any surface available. You aren’t a complete mess, so you take that as a win. You’ve had another two visits with the therapist and it’s like a weight has been lifted. Not all of it, but enough to where it doesn’t seem like you’re struggling to breathe. One thing it did do, though, is it gave you room to think. That’s never good.
It’s what you’re doing now. Head resting in the palm of your hand, eyes on the TV even though you aren’t watching it. It has the highlights from tonight’s news. You stand waiting for Midoriya and Bakugou. You’re beyond ready to go home after being on your feet all day.
You’re not aware of much, but you start to realize these last few days have not been good. You’ve not been yourself and Midoriya and Bakugou have been babying you. Treating you a little too gently. You’re jaded, edges sharp, they should really know better.
It’s almost silly how it happens. It begins before you even realize it. Or perhaps, it’s been like this for months, weeks, days and it’s been leading up to this.
The only light is coming from the bathroom, which you had forgotten to turn off when you left in a hurry. You left them bickering like old women at your door. Shoes tossed into your closet, purse sat on your vanity. You fling yourself across your bed, eyes closing in contentment. They aren’t loud as they make their way up the stairs, but you know the sound of their footfalls. They’re coming for you. It only makes you toss an arm over your eyes, an attempt to hide yourself from them.
“We should leave her. She’s asleep.”
You have to fight back a grin at Bakugou’s scoff. “No she isn’t. She’s being a brat.”
A slap to the inside of your thigh makes you yelp. Eyes flying open to glare at the blond. “Ouch, that hurt.”
Bakugou rolls his eyes. “Told ya.”
“Why are you still here?”
“Do you not want us here?” Midoriya asks.
“No,” you answer, pushing up onto your elbows. “Not really.”
It isn’t the answer they’re looking for. Bakugou raises an eyebrow before reaching for your ankle, yanking you towards the end of the bed. The skirt of your dress rides up, exposing your thighs, and a peek at your lace underwear. Heat should be blooming across your cheeks, you should feel exposed with two sets of eyes on you. But you don’t. It’s almost natural. Because you trust them, and you know they respect you. You’re still a little too pissed off to admit that maybe you’re in love with the both of them. A little too blind to realize that the both of them are in love with you.
They continue to bicker back and forth, teasing and taunting each other while you attempt to drown them out. Midoriya’s voice scrapes the floor, it’s so damn deep and rich as whiskey.
Do they know how they sound?
Like they’re licking between your legs, tugging your panties down with their teeth, teeth scraping the sensitive flesh. It’s distracting. Your thighs clench together, you try to be discreet, but you forget that Bakugou still has a hold of you. He glances down when your ankle tugs, carmine eyes darkening as they travel up your bare legs.
“Sweet girl,” Bakugou murmurs. The nickname rolls off his tongue and it melts you, your body instantly relaxing.
“What?” You hate how breathless you sound.
It’s instinct. Midoriya helps you remove your clothes. He softly smiles at you when you lift your hips to peel down your panties. You don’t miss how Bakugou takes them from him and tucks them into his back pocket.
“C’mon baby, up.”
You follow his command, lifting yourself up onto your knees. Bakugou’s gaze is burning into you when the dress is pulled down, exposing your bare breasts to open air.
“Look at me sweetheart.” Your eyes lock with Bakugou’s with no hesitation. “We’re going to ruin you. Me and Deku. Are you okay with that?”
“Yes.”
“Yes what?”
Fire blazes in your eyes. “Yes, Katsuki.”
“That’s a good girl.”
Bakugou watches it happen, watches as both of you melt into each other. The overwatch, the overseer: he stares at you, eyes lingering on the hands that roam your flesh, hiking your clothes up until you’re exposed, and raw.
It’s only when you glance at him, hand curling around the bulbous head of Midoriya, does he respond.
“Lick her pussy, Deku. Get her nice and wet.”
He utters low commands in the dimly lit room that are instantly obeyed. Stick your tongue out, sweetheart, let him slide his cock across it. Get a good taste of it. Suck her clit until she cries. She likes it. Harder, Deku, you know she can take it.
You don’t think he’s going to join in until Midoriya’s made you come three times, all at the direction of Bakugou. Tears stream down your face, because there is a want vibrating throughout your body, sending shockwaves to your core. Your pussy clenches around nothing. But then, he pulls himself from his pants, hard and leaking.
It’s only then, heart in your throat, that you realize Midoriya’s been foreplay.
“Take it easy on her, Kacchan” Midoriya hums as he traces the seam of your cunt. He pinches your clit as he rocks against your ass, and you can feel the head of his cock smear against your entrance, nudge and prod until, finally, he sinks to the hilt. You moan, the shock of his size
“That’s right, sweetheart. Want to hear the pretty noises fall from that pretty mouth.” Bakugou grits between clenched teeth.
Midoriya kisses your shoulder, sucking the skin until it bruises. "C'mon, baby girl, we know you can take it."
You should be embarrassed. Because you know that no one has pulled noises out of you like Bakugou has. Your boyfriend but not your boyfriend is rutting behind you, watching the whole exchange. You don't care. Not really.
Bakugou continues. He doesn't fuck fast, but goes for slow, agonizing strokes that deliberately push into the center of your nerves. Tiny shocks of electricity sparking every time he meets that spongy spot inside of you. He breathes heavily, grunting when you clench around him. The room is miserably hot. There's sweat beneath your arms and under your tits and you’re sandwiched between them. Worshiped. Treasured. You never thought for a second that it could be like this.
Good girl. Fuck. You're so fucking gorgeous.
“Fuck,” you gasp when Bakugou drives further, clamping his hand down on your waist to hold you steady. “Katsuki,”
He pauses, and the punishing drag of his cock halts only to pulse and throb in the clutch of your pussy. Pusling, warm walls tightening around the thick of him. You bury your fingers into his muscular shoulders. You need the movement. You need him to keep going because he’s just getting bigger, stretching you in the most delicious way, pushing you to your limit.
“Sweetheart,” Bakugou murmurs as he palms at your cheek. You lift your gaze to his, and something tightens inside your chest. Bakugou’s eyes are clearer than they’ve ever been. A brilliant red. The prettiest gems you’ve ever seen.
Midoriya is still tasting your skin, the warmth of him swallowing you whole. You’re overwhelmed but it’s still somehow not enough. It’s like they know — they can feel it humming in your veins. Rough hands flip you, face now buried in your sheets, ass up for display. You hear Bakugou groan at the sight, a light smack to your ass cheek. You keen, pushing yourself closer.
It’s the gentle grasp on your chin that grounds you. Midoriya’s looking at you like you’re the most precious thing he’s ever seen. “Can I baby?”
You don’t know why they’re asking. You wouldn’t deny them. Don’t think you could if you tried. Midoriya’s cock brushes across your tongue, eyes fluttering when you wrap your lips around him, head tipping back in pleasure. “Fuck,”
Your tongue roams over his slit, tasting all of him. His breath is ragged, heavy. There is no warning—just a strangled choke of your name—and then he’s cumming on your tongue, ropes spurting over your cheeks and chin.
You gasp, wet and broken, and completely filthy.
“That’s it—,” Bakugou mumbles against you, the head of cock brushing against your seam. It makes your toes curl — the perfect mix of not enough and too much, and —
Midoriya strokes your hair, eyes glazed. The angle is awkward, but his mouth meshes with yours, tongue rubbing over the mess he made of you. He kisses you like he’s worshiping you. Like you’re the best thing he’d ever tasted, and he can’t get enough.
Bakugou’s teeth dig into your skin, leaving bruises behind. It makes you whine. Little secrets that litter your skin. He’s pulled you up on your knees, hand wrapped snugly around your throat. Soft green eyes burn into yours as you get fucked from behind. He thrusts harder, rougher until your hand is wrapped around his wrist trying to hold you steady. He’s fully claiming you. Cock punching into the deepest part of you. Your head is empty, full of nothing but Bakugou, of Midoriya.
It’s burning low in your belly. A fire trying to escape, engulf you whole from the inside out. Moans are pouring out of you with every thrust. Each one more brutal than the last. Walls clenching tight around him, you can feel him grunting against the nap of your neck.
“Kat, I–” you're cut off by a whimper when he reaches that hard to reach spot deep inside you. Over and over again, you feel it coming, your orgasm is going to come crashing down and you’re ready to bask in it.
“You going to come on my cock, sweetheart?” Bakugou murmurs into your hair.
Your mouth opens but nothing comes out. Midoriya cocks his head, eyes finding yours. You swallow, watching as a knowing grin takes over him. “Use your words, baby.” He says, mocking you. “Kacchan asked you a question.” Tears are streaming down your face. It doesn’t hurt. You can take it—you can take all of it. You want it, want him. More, more, more.
You come on Bakugou’s cock like a tidal wave, and when you collapse against the bed, your body trembles, heaving desperately for air. Bakugou groans, pulling you up until you’re flush against him. His lips meet yours in a messy kiss, bucking his hips harder until he’s chasing his high right over the ledge with you.
“Fuck, sweetheart,” he praises, wiping the sweat off the back of your neck. “Good fuckin’ girl.”
There’s only a moment between Bakugou finishing, and him pulling out of you. A sharp hiss slipping passed your swollen lips, a glare sent over your shoulder. They give you no time to right yourself. Strong arms lift you up, settling you on Midoriya’s lap. Your hands instantly fall to his shoulders, fingers digging into his lightly tanned skin. Tilting your head back, you smile in contentment, lips trailing hot kisses across your skin.
You run a thumb over the tip, smearing the precum. Your nails nip at his sensitive skin and he shivers. Lifting yourself up on your knees, you hover, waiting patiently for his direction. His dick nudges the soaked folds of your cunt.
“You’re too good to me,” his voice is thick with want.
Slowly he pulls you down, his thick length sinking into you. He’s too big. Fuck, he’s so big. The head of his cock hits that sensitive spot, and you’ve barely just started. You breathe in nice and slow, relaxing yourself with every slow thrust he makes until he’s at the hilt. He delves down, taking a nipple between his teeth while he explores the other, tugging it gently as he rolls it between his fingers. The heat pooling between your thighs ignites as a desperate moan slips from your lips.
At this point, you’re here for the ride. But god, if it isn’t one you’re enjoying.
Hammering into you, each deep stroke better than the last. Your orgasm takes you by surprise. You lurch against him when you moan. You melt, boneless, like jelly. You’re loose and wet and fucking perfect. His nose presses into your cheek as he grinds into you.
“Fuck, baby girl. Love the feeling of you on my cock.”
You snort, pulling yourself closer to him. Guttural grunts and low growls meet your ear. Heavy breaths that bounce around the room. It’s a brutal taking, and you are not wet enough. Fresh tears pool in your eyes, threatening to fall with every harsh thrust. You take what you're given, no complaints. Midoriya readjusts, moving you to where you are firmly planted on his thighs, giving him a better angle. You’re bouncing with each thrust from his cock now. He’s deep, so deep you can see the bulge of him in your tummy. You pull his hair, grinning when he hisses.
“You got one more for me?”
He knows you can’t talk. He knows you’re fucked out, gone stupid on his cock. Just like you always do. He loves when you get like this. He loves it even more because you beg for it. You move, opening up your legs a little wider. He groans feeling himself sink deeper into you. You’re puffy and raw and you’re living for it. Nodding, his name falls from your lips.
It builds and builds and builds until it has nowhere to go. It roars forward, jolting you, a scream ripped from your throat and your nails digging into him so hard you can feel when he starts to bleed. Midoriya is there. He holds you into place, mustache grazing your cheek. He fucks you through it all, jamming himself into your searing overstimulated sex, he meets his end. His grip tightens, a low gravel filled groan comes from deep in his chest, filling you up. You feel the drag of his dog tags when he lifts his head to trail kisses across your sweaty skin.
“Fucking hell,” he mutters, breaking the silence.
You pull him on top of you, hugging him tightly to you. A steady hand cups your face. Glancing up you meet the clear eyes of Bakugou. Grasping him, you pull him to you as well. You bask in the feel of him. You hadn’t realized how much you’d been missing him until you were drunk off of him. You’re aching and sore but you refuse to move away from them. Midoriya’s eyes are still dark and heavy-lidded as he regards you.
“Keep me in there,” he tells you and you just smile.
“So,” Bakugou says after a moment.
Your gaze flicks from his to Midoriya’s. “What did I say about fucking me?”
“It helps.”
“I just,” you pause, teeth digging into your bottom lip. “I want to have control.”
“Baby, you hold all the control. Even when you think you don’t.”
Your eyes meet Bakugou’s. “I’m tired of you haunting me.”
His eyes soften as he stares at you. “Sweetheart.”
“All I’m hearing,” Midoriya butts in, “is that I’m no longer the only one dating you.”
Your eyebrows furrow, looking between the two. What? When has that ever been an option? The room stays quiet. Your eyes droop, rising and falling with Midoriya’s steady breathing. Could you do it? Date them both? The way Midoriya dropped it into your lap sounds like they’ve already talked about it. Maybe they have. Now, it’s up for you to decide.
“Sweetheart, all we want is for you to be happy. If that means the both of us. Then you get the both of us.”
You look at Bakugou in disbelief. “You and Izuku can barely stand each other.” You glance up at Midoriya. “We were never official.”
“We are now.”
You're pulled down into the middle of the bed, content and snug among your favorite people who want nothing but what’s best for you. You sigh because there’s no arguing with them. This is what you’ve been wanting, maybe even needing. But only time will tell.

been on tumblr since i was almost 14 i’m turning 25 now here’s things i know now and keep to my heart
- communicate with people even if it’s really really hard, going through the hard shit and trying to at least communicate is better then leaving things when it gets rough. if you care, if you want change, if you want something better communicate it
- the internet is going through something (often) about people not being able to grow, make mistakes, or learn from mistakes. stop using critical therapy words to describe something it isn’t. please use the time to understand the words people use in therapy are not to be something that is used to accuse outright. feel emotions, understand emotions, don’t assume intent of hurt.
-journaling as annoying as everyone said it is- helps - not magically but it gets that static of emotions and anxiety out and onto a book i don’t care about for the rest of the day
-hobbies are so important, baking, making tea, brewing coffee, felting all that jazz. despite the notion of society you can enjoy time alone you are allowed it, without worry and having to work for someone else
- therapy is a luxury- if someone can’t afford it don’t pass judgment, don’t try and give them therapy. be a friend, empathize in your way and comfort. telling someone they should just move out, should just quit- none of those are options many have. understand that everyone has a complicated situation.
-invest in physical media, i mean most are getting this fact now but man you don’t own any of your media you buy online, that you stream. and in seconds it can be gone forever. reading physical books has given me something personal.
-you are going to have really bad years, months, weeks, days, ect where you find yourself lost, trapped and falling into bad habits. and maybe you won’t be able to get out for a long time. but those that stay- the ones that wait, patient for you? that tell you you’ve done wrong that they need a change and you are finally in a place to do that- that you work hard for them and others in your life that they are still there in the end because they want a future in your life and believe you can grow and be better- those moments are important and hold on to it. not everyone is willing to go through that and that’s ok don’t let it slow you but show you a drive- a want to be someone happy and growth
- SPEAKING OF BOOKS: write in them, fold the pages, break the backs, highlight the shit out of it. leave your record of existence in them, that the book is well loved, well read
- i realized i carried one single trauma from a really bad relationship to all my others after out of fear. i was young and didn’t know a lot, i was sheltered and extremely vulnerable. i realized later then i should have that i have had so many wonderful relationships there after, and i was too focused on something that happened at my most vulnerable point of my life. i have had relationships with friends from 10 years, 6 years and so on now- and i can still reach out to them
-don’t try and make a therapy session out of talking with friends. experience emotions have authentic conversations that yes are hard to have that are scary- don’t build walls and use language that becomes therapy speak. you often will see what is missing- that you start to assume things of others without talking it through freely without feeling you need to sound like a english major that has edited three attempted essays- i’ve done this and i’ve had it done to me. i just i miss having conversations that don’t feel like i’m in court. emotions and being emotional is natural and we shouldn’t shy away and desensitize ourselves
- you will hurt people, people you deeply care about, people you love. and you won’t be given the chance to rectify, to “fix” things. and that’s ok. what you need to know and understand and hold on to is that when this happens, you grow from it. learn to not hurt someone you care about the way you did, understand what you did was wrong, grow to be someone that can be better then your past
-endings are something that happen, they are filled with unimaginable grief. loss of person through death is another story in itself. but the ones that are more often- you don’t find urself healing or having a conclusion like others. the ending of media, a good book, a project, school even. and relationships platonic or not. i think i’ve learned to love what i had, every single moment that i had something in my life, it’s ended but it’s shaped me, i grew with whatever it was.
- don’t fall into main character syndrome spiral- yes you are you at the centre, but you don’t need big things, bad things to happen to you to have empathy from others, you don’t need to dive into something right away, it makes it hard to live fully. instead of feeling like you are fulfilling a story narrative you have seen in media or otherwise
-you will never have enough time, it really sucks. it’s going to take long time to accept, you won’t be too late, you aren’t last place, go at your pace and explore what you can

When you find and embrace your unique writing voice, you remove yourself from comparison and won’t end up as a commodity. This course will help you develop your own unique writing voice and use it to your competitive advantage. Everything You Write Will Sell The focus of Supercharge Your Writing is to give purpose to your words. Writing the right words for the right people at the right time is what’s going to make a difference. If you knew you’d make sales every time you sat down to write a thousand words, wouldn’t you write more often? This course will show you what to write and exactly where to use it. Your writing is an asset. Learn to get the most out of it by employing your writing in areas that will continue to serve you. Knowing what to write brings clarity to your daily writing habit. You’ll never wake up wondering what to write about again. We get very practical on developing a writing habit. The goal is to increase your productivity and maximize your output with each writing session. Know Exactly What to Write I used to experience writer’s block. At least I thought I did. I’d be staring at the blank page, desperately grasping for words that seemed just out of reach. Writer’s block simply does not exist. I wouldn’t have believed it either had someone told me several years ago, but it’s true. Writer’s block comes from a lack of planning, clarity, and purpose. Let’s be real here: you don’t have time for writer’s block. There are words to write. There are projects to finish. There are things to do. There are people to be with! What if all the time you spent in the past year staring at a blank page could have been spent with your family? How nice would that be? What if all the time you spent staring at a blank page was spent writing even more? You’d have books by now! That’s how it can be and that’s how it should be. Yes, having purpose to your writing goes a long way toward prevent writer’s block, but we also cover some tips, tricks, and writing “hacks” to overcome writer’s block once and for all. Never Wonder Where Anything Goes Purpose. I keep coming back to this word purpose. You need to know what your goals are and reverse engineer the path to getting there. That path is your content. The content marketing will lead people to buying your product. Your content needs to make sense together. You need to plan ahead and prepare in advance. All of this should be mapped out for weeks if not months. There’s a strategy to employing copywriting throughout your content. I talk about the Rule of Reciprocity a lot, but don’t take that to mean you can only sell after weeks of value. That’s true at a macro level, but you don’t want to ignore the micro pitches you’re entitled to make. Learn the Right Words to Use There are two words that almost every business uses when it comes to the amount you pay for their products.
These two words are kryptonite if you want to be seen as a premium brand, but they’re so common most people don’t think anything of them. In fact, if I’d used them here and on any of the previous pages, you wouldn’t have even noticed. But it’s not what you notice, it’s what’s happens subconsciously. You might not have noticed, but it would have affected your perception. I refrained from using these two words because they would have positioned my premium material as an expense to you instead of an investment. If you feel like this course will be a worthy investment, there’s a reason you feel that way. There’s a reason you’re not comparing the amount for this course with anything else available. Writing is as much about the words you don’t use as the words you use. You need to learn to use the right words to advance people on the buyer’s journey. Double Your Sales With Writing The best investment you can make in your business is developing a writing habit and learning how to write in a way that sells. It all starts with writing. If you’re in business, you’re selling something. You have to sell. Selling comes down to words. Words can be spoken or they can be written. But even if you’re primarily speaking, writing is the best way to improve your speaking! The people who speak poorly don’t write. I guarantee it. At least, they don’t purposefully improve or audit themselves the way I teach. I really truly mean it when I say it all starts with writing. Want to be a better podcaster? Write. Want to be a better public speaker? Write. Want to make more sales in your business? Write. Dollar for dollar, you won’t make a better investment this year than this course. When you look back at what you invested in this course a year from now, you will be astounded. It will completely shift your mindset and approach to business. You’ll finally get clarity on how to use your writing to increase sales in your business. Supercharge Your Writing Master Class Write with purpose and start making sales. Too Great a Wand ch.1
When Harry Potter is the only responsible person in his family, he has to take charge of organizing vacations. For the winter break, his sister Rose and her friends wanted a place that had stunning views, good service, the ability to use magic, a pool, and a jacuzzi. Harry found a property that met all their requirements, and it was worth thousands of gold coins from their shared treasure. Although Harry preferred a modest cottage on the slopes, he had to accommodate Rose and her friends' picky taste. Harry's aunt was also choosy when it came to accommodation, albeit in a more subtle way.
Money can buy many things, including pleasures, but it rarely solves a person's problems in life. This was an absolute truth in Harry's life, if not in the lives of many people around him. The Potter and Black families' money provided him with an excellent education and allowed him to travel to places he never imagined seeing. But when Harry came of age to reach for the rings of the Potter and Black heirs, their finances were in chaos.
Harry hesitated to take the reins because he didn't want to exceed his authority, but Bellatrix, his stepAunt, insisted. Her family came from ancient money, most of which was stored in trusts and investments spread over a hundred years of purchases. A brief investigation revealed that her accountants had been cheating her since the death of the last Lord Black, and her lawyers were untrustworthy.
Then Harry hired the top-tier Tonks law firm to review the documents and search every financial and stock certificate. The costs were exorbitant, but they paid off tenfold. Harry wasn't of legal drinking age at the time, so his aunt attended most of the sessions. She didn't understand much of it, but she trusted Harry more than anyone else and signed where he instructed her to.
It was too much responsibility for a boy to bear, so Harry used Hogwarts as an escape to disappear. He didn't party or lead a wild social life, but he formed a small circle of wonderful friends and discovered that his early interest in investing and money was still alive and well. After a broken relationship, Harry applied for an internship program at the ministry and waited for a response when Rose insisted on a "mountain vacation."
The house that Harry chose for his family was only forty minutes outside the city and had its own lift that took them to the top of a kilometer-long ski trail that ended back at the house. It was a steep price, but because Harry's sister Rose was known as the girl who survived, the owner promised to cut him a deal if she and her friends published an interview and photos of the house at least once. Harry was confident they would, so they packed up.
Harry's aunt was excited to spend the next two weeks buried in her alcove with her books. For years, she had claimed she wanted to write a book on dueling, and now was the time."
"You should also bring your skis," Harry said as she loaded her bag into the car. "Looks like we'll be getting some fresh powder, and you know you'll want to hit the slopes a few times while we're up there."
"Maybe," she muttered, frowning slightly. "But they'll distract me from writing." Plus, I don't want to get in the way of your fun."
"Do you really think I'll have a good time with Rose and her friends?" Harry was careful not to raise his voice, so his sister in the room directly above the garage wouldn't hear. "They're image-obsessed, immature girls who think I'm a loser because I don't spend every weekend getting blackout drunk."
"They're just young," Harry's Aunt said, waving her hand. "I agree that your sister takes the whole show thing way too seriously, but there won't be too many chances for you two to bond. Rose will be done with Hogwarts and out of the nest in a few years... You'll be going off to your internship soon and getting married eventually."
Her voice had a pause in it that made Harry look up from where he was packing the luggage in the back of their Ministry-issued car. He noticed a spark of anger on her face before she dismissed it and smiled through thick, red lips.
"Let's just make the best of this situation, okay?"
"Okay, but bring your skis and promise me you'll spend at least one day on the slopes with me."
Her smile was genuine, and she nodded in agreement. "Deal."
"Deal on what?" Rose's distinct voice cut through the intimate moment like a hot knife through butter. Harry turned to the side and tried to ignore what she said next. "Is the loser bringing his ugly ex?" You said we could only invite friends!"
"Rose!" Harry's Aunt gave her only daughter a stern look, and Harry noticed his sister's relief at being scolded. "If you're not careful, you won't be bringing any friends to the cabin, and you should thank Harry for making it all possible." The residence boasts an infinity jacuzzi that overlooks its own private valley, according to the pictures."
"Really?" The surprising joy in Rose's voice shouldn't have made Harry feel so warm, and he tried to ignore it as he began stowing skis and boards in the roof rack.
"Really. Bring your bags down now. We're leaving in an hour. It's a long drive."
"Fleur and Daphne are on their way, but I was wondering if we could leave tonight?" Fifteen hours in a car would be hell, but Harry was hoping they could sleep most of the way –"
"We need to leave now or we'll get caught in the storm," Harry replied, ignoring Rose's irritation in the back of his throat as soon as he spoke up. "Unless you want to drive the whole way?"
Before Harry's younger sister could groan from upstairs, he got a tongue and middle finger thrown at him. Harry's Aunt chuckled quietly, making sure to hush her so Rose wouldn't hear. His sister was sensitive enough about failing her driver's test seven times and still lived in fear of having to drive with anyone she knew.
"This will be fuuun," Harry muttered, sarcastically stretching out the last word as he rolled his eyes. "Why don't we use a Portkey?" Harry asked.
"But Switzerland is so heavily secured with protective layers that even using Portkeys is difficult near their borders," Aunt replied, raising an eyebrow in a way that surprised Harry. He almost tripped over the door frame he was leaning on.
"Aunt!" Harry exclaimed, feeling his cheeks warm as he noticed a twinkle in her eye.
"I'm just saying... those are beautiful girls," she said, turning around to go back inside, and Harry saw her own cheeks flush. "And you're a charming young man with plenty to offer... It never hurts to keep your options open." Harry was ready to tell her that the obnoxious, immature friends of his sister were the last ladies he'd be thinking of in that way, but the lie wouldn't come out of his mouth, and Aunt noticed the expression on his face. "Make sure you turn off the lights before you back out of the driveway." "I'll double check at home."
When the girls arrived, Harry felt uneasy and awkward, struggling to help them with their bags and skis. He knew both of them from school, although Fleur had only briefly appeared at the Triwizard Tournament, while Daphne was in his year at Slytherin. Despite the inter-house politics or even differences in schools, they all easily connected as if drawn together like magnets, dominating the school even when they were too young for Harry to see them in that light. Now, as older teenagers, and if one was a red-blooded male, they couldn't be ignored. Harry Potter was almost as tall as Fleur. She was hyperactive, great at Quidditch, and a Slytherin prefect. His sister would have marked her as a nerd if not for her stunning blond beauty. Daphne wasn't as tall or as busty as Fleur, but she was the most beautiful woman Harry had ever seen, except for his sister. She was the perfect blend of her Veela blood, with beautiful light blond hair and charming features. Harry's sister and Daphne were the driving forces behind their growing reputation. With his sister's magical prowess and Daphne's fashion sense, Harry was sure they would have thousands of people wanting to know everything about them until the end of Hogwarts. He wouldn't tell them that. Their heads were already big enough.
Stuffing the girls in the backseat was painful, but Aunt was so absorbed in making sure she had everything that she was useless. Harry had to threaten Rose with leaving before she sat down and swore she wouldn't jump out for one more thing.
Finally, they were on the road and settled in for a long journey. Aunt offered to drive for him, but Harry had spent enough time with her to know they'd be safer with him, exhausted, than her worrying about every semi-truck passing them on the highway.
Harry achieved a fantastic time, and thanks to the magically expanded tanks in the Land Rover, they only had to stop twice before entering Switzerland, and only for the girls to use the restroom. He felt relieved when he exited the highway and took smaller roads up into the mountains, but by that time, it was already dark, and he didn't have the views he was hoping for. When they passed a small village outside the valley, the girls and Aunt quickly fell asleep.
The sign indicated that the town had only twenty-seven people, which made sense considering the shop, bar, and hair salon were the only businesses Harry saw. The ladies wanted an isolated place, and this was the closest thing they could find, apart from buying their own island, which Harry immediately dismissed as a ridiculous expense.
As he drove up the only highway in the valley, Harry was uneasy. He wasn't worried about the steep slopes on either side or being cut off from everything but satellites. The fact was that he noticed a bus full of guys leaving the pub, and even though Rose and her friends were sleeping soundly, he knew that one random glance at the backseat could lead to problems.
When no headlights appeared in the rearview mirror, Harry breathed a sigh of relief and easily ascended the single-lane road. The entire property was brand new, and he liked the freshly paved road, despite the proximity to steep mountains on both sides. It was difficult to maneuver in the dark, and he was sweating by the time they reached the driveway. "Are we finally here?" Rose asked as she sat up and rubbed her eyes.
"He's here," Harry replied as he parked the car next to the house.
They couldn't see much in the dark, so Rose and Fleur pulled out their wands and cast a quiet Lumos, and they began searching for the front door. As Harry pushed open the back door and started taking out the stack of luggage and bags that the girls packed, his Aunt was still untangling herself from cables and blankets she wrapped herself in during the long journey.
"Look, it's snowing!" one of them exclaimed.
Harry lifted his head and hunched over to look at the front window, where his Aunt pointed to a large droplet slowly dissolving. The excitement was short-lived, as another large flake landed on his neck, and the cool drop trickled down his back.
"Rose and the girls are turning on the lights. I'll send them to help you with the luggage."
"Take this with you," Harry urged, taking the bag and the tote from her.
Aunt stopped next to him and pulled on her woolen hat, smiling at him. It was hard not to recognize in her what many men had seen. She was an innocent, slender beauty, with beautiful cherubic cheeks, huge light blue eyes, and pure white skin framed by thick blue-black hair. She could pass for Rose's older sister, except that she had recently gained weight, which went straight to her hips and breasts.
"I just wanted to say..." she said, looking at him. Even when she froze, the white flakes falling on her long lashes made Harry's heart melt. "I'm glad we escaped from all of this for a few weeks. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I promise to make it up to you."
"It's okay. I'm glad we escaped too."
"You miss her, don't you?" she said, her face sad as she placed her hand on his chest. The snow was falling heavily and Harry wasn't used to it, but it only served to emphasize how warm she felt against him.
"Who, Hermione?"
It had been a month since the breakup and, to be honest, Harry hadn't thought much about her since that terrible weekend. Aunt misunderstood his expression as a guilty conscience about how easily he left.
"As I said... this is a small place for you kids," she added, squeezing him tighter with each syllable. "Maybe you'll meet someone who can help you cope with it."
Harry Potter wasn't surprised that Aunt would say something like that. She was always in embarrassing situations or putting her foot in her mouth. What his body did in reaction surprised him. Maybe it was the long car journey and the inability to relieve himself for longer than a day, or maybe it was the feeling of her large breasts pressing against his torso. In any case, her eyes opened almost simultaneously with his attempt to pull away, and for a few seconds, he thought she was following him with her hips, although perhaps his quick retreat threw her off balance.
Aunt grabbed him by the arm and hips as she fell into him, saving herself from the cold, wet concrete. Her face pressed into his jeans for a terrible minute, and he felt a hot shame wash over him as the length of her cheek rubbed against the thickness of his leg. Afraid of her reaction, he stiffened, but she caught herself and stood up on shaky legs. "Are you okay?" Harry slowly shook off his embarrassment as Fleur's words pierced his embarrassment and helped Aunt to her feet. "Or am I interrupting something?"
"She just slipped," he said, turning to Aunt to offer her comfort.
He noticed the strangest reaction on her face. Instead of humiliation or shame, her expression was filled with pure joy. She only regained her composure after he stood there staring at her for a while. She nodded in agreement, quickly blinking, and added weakly: "I must have stepped on some black ice... I was in shock when I saw myself on it... So I think I'll go to sleep now. It was a long and exhausting journey. Harry, don't stay out in the cold too long, or you'll catch a cold."
Aunt caressed his cheeks before moving over to Fleur and Rose, who hugged their jackets as she moved to the back of the car.
"What's her deal?" Rose asked. "What is she doing, staring at me?"
"Forget about her," Harry muttered as he slung Rose's bag over his shoulder. "We need to move quickly before everything gets soaked."
Rose and Fleur looked up at the deepening snow and without hesitation began to help. Fleur's heavy lifting surprised Harry as she carried almost as much as he did. Meanwhile, Rose and Daphne were solely focused on their luggage.
Harry's aunt assisted with the grocery list as she was the family cook and maintained a flawless kitchen. When Harry and Fleur emptied the chilled coolers and boxes into the fridge and pantry, he couldn't help but wonder how Rose and Fleur became friends.
He met Fleur on the first day of the Triwizard Tournament. She was the only one who was nice to him and didn't judge him for being a Veela, Fleur shared with Harry, shrugging and chuckling self-deprecatingly. "When you're dealing with aggressive females like me, you appreciate girls who make an effort. Rose has always been like that. She doesn't show it, but she's the first to help disabled children or volunteer for an ungrateful task."
"Why are you defending her?" Harry asked, pleased with Fleur's kind words. "You don't even have to sell her to me."
"I don't know," Fleur replied, her cheeks slightly flushed. "I never had a brother, but I have a younger sister, and I watch you two fight... Maybe you wouldn't talk down to her if you didn't think she was an airhead materialistic. And she wouldn't lash out at you and say anything hurtful."
"I don't talk down to Rose," Harry argued, but Fleur's direct gaze stopped him in his tracks. He recognized that Fleur possessed insight that he couldn't refute. It was hard for him to admit it, but he sometimes teased Rose.
"How do I fix this?" Harry asked, taking a deep breath.
Fleur surprised him with her suggestion. She gestured upward to where Rose and Daphne were unloading, a satisfied smile on her face. "You may have chosen this location, but Rose had floor plans emailed to her from the architect," Fleur said, and Harry looked at her in surprise. "She knows more about this house than the owners do. Let her give you a tour and be the expert for a change."
"Good," Harry shrugged. "Is that all there is to it? It seems rather simple."
"Girls are quite simple," Fleur said to Harry. "Make us feel noticed and beautiful, and you'll become the next Adonis."
Harry laughed. "Is that all there is to it? If so, you should tell that to some of the guys I know who've been caught in the friend zone."
"Well," murmured Fleur, her blush deeper than usual. "If Rose and Daphne are to be believed, they only get friend-zoned when they're... you know." She made a small gesture with her fingers and thumb, and Harry laughed, shaking his head as his chuckles abruptly faded.
"Unfortunately, that's not always the case. When faced with rejection, girls are more prone to feeling scared and coming up with stories to mask their humiliation. And male teasing is much worse -"
"Come see how the snow is piling up!" Rose burst into the kitchen, taking Harry and Fleur by the hands and pulling them onto the tiny staircase. "This place is a maze. Do you see that square window, Harry? It's called merciless."
"Really?" "That's cool," Harry replied, truly delighted that Rose recognized it right away. As they squeezed through the staircase, Fleur winked and smiled over her shoulder at Rose.
Since arriving, Harry hadn't seen much of the mansion. He'd been in the kitchen unpacking their food for the next few weeks, aside from the empty entrance with a well-made wooden bench. Rose was right that the area was a maze, especially in the dark.
The tiny staircase led to a small corridor filled with shelves of books. The shelves rose high above various dry and canned goods, and Harry was eager to stay and see what the owners had. His little sister, however, was persistent, and Fleur's sharp eyes watched, so he followed them without hesitation.
They found themselves on a large balcony that wrapped around the exterior of the house. Someone had turned on the outdoor lights, illuminating the area. The grounds were already covered in a thick layer of heavy snow, with more falling by the bucketful.
Daphne emerged from another set of doors to join Rose and Fleur in their dance under the falling snow. When she smiled at Harry, the older girl's blonde hair collected a few large snowflakes, white flakes gleaming in the spotlight.
"Give it a rest, Harry, you can't always be so serious!" Isn't this amazing? On our first night, no less!"
"It's amazing," Harry replied, allowing the petite blonde to lure him from under the eaves and into the dance circle. He wasn't much of a dancer and quickly became restless among the lively crowd. They were doing some sort of footwork, a dance move with a kick they'd learned from some Mongolian entertainment. He tried to follow them, but his stumbling feet made the women giggle. "Don't you care about muggles?" Fleur asked. "How come you haven't learned this yet?"
Harry shook his head, but Rose spoke for him before he could open his mouth. "Harry's not on social media." He's afraid it could come back to bite him if he ever runs for office or anything."
"Politicians are the worst," Daphne replied, tilting her head back and sticking out her tongue. "Harry, you're not addicted to attention and praise. What motivates you to run?"
Harry pondered the small, dark-haired angel. Rose always struck him as an airhead more interested in shoes and clothes than current affairs based on their meetings and Rose's stories, but that was a sharper observation than he expected.
"Attention would be the worst part," he said. "But it comes with power, perhaps the most any one person can gather, and that's something I'm very interested in."
He shrugged and pulled his coat tighter. It was an awkward discovery, but it was the reality he'd learned to accept over the past few years. His life had been turbulent since childhood, and he was at the mercy of Dumbledore. Now he craved power, which is why at such a young age, he took over his family's finances and planned to earn the title of master of business. Like politics, the business world was just another type of control.
Snow was piling up on the deck, forming drifts where the girls' feet kicked it up. They weren't dancing anymore, and Harry turned to see all three of them staring at him with different expressions. Fleur was amused, but when she looked at his sister and saw her pensive expression, her joy vanished.
Daphne's eyes blinked with subdued emotion. Like her buddy, Harry assumed it was all in good fun, but the way her little white teeth sank into her lower lip made his heart race, and he began to look at her more closely. When she sensed his gaze, the little girl's eyebrows lifted, and her small lips twisted into a slight grimace.
"Let's go back in before we freeze to death... Daphne?"
"I'm coming!" The little blonde turned to leave, giving him a flirtatious wave before breaking away. "Rose, your brother is fascinating."
"Yeah, if he wasn't such a recluse, he'd be the most popular-"
The door closed behind them, cutting off Rose's last words. Harry's feet carried him to the door, but he couldn't hear anything inside and had no idea where the slit in the modern house led. He turned and went back to the kitchen, where he found his Aunt preparing dinner.
As Harry entered the room, his Aunt greeted him with a large, slightly loose smile. She swung her apron and pointed to the radio on the counter.
"There you go. Have you watched the news lately? 'The storm has been upgraded to a blizzard, and everyone is advised to secure their windows and stay indoors,' she said. "What the fuck is going on?" Harry leaned in to listen as the meteorologist spoke.
"As you can see, the pressure has dropped across the high plains, slowing the storm and causing it to become a blizzard..."
"This is serious," Harry observed, but his aunt waved her hand and went back to the stove where she was browning something that smelled like Italian sausage.
"This is a brand new home. I'm sure they designed it to withstand the elements around here. Relax, Harry, and have some wine," she added, gesturing towards an open bottle with an almost empty glass next to it.
Harry couldn't help but assume his aunt's calm was due to the wine. She would be bouncing off the walls if the blizzard was weighing on them. The wine was taking the edge off for her, for which he silently thanked God.
"And I'm going to close them," Harry said, raising the latch on the wooden shutters above the sink.
"I'll help you with that," his aunt said, leaning over him to remove the second latch, causing him to catch her in his arms.
"Whoopsie! Sorry about that..."
"Auntie?" Harry's voice was slightly alarmed and his body reacted quickly. How could it not, with her apron pulled to one side, cutting across one large breast and highlighting every feature against the smooth material of her dress?
She looked at him through long lashes, making no effort to stand up as her body pressed against his. He couldn't take his eyes off her firm, rounded form that slid along the deep shadow between her cleavage. Then her eyes followed his, and then sank further, as if staring between their mashed bodies at his growing manhood, which terrified him.
"Maybe you should check the rest of the house," she said, pushing away from him. But she never looked him in the eyes again, as she returned to the sizzling sausage. "I put your things in the room on the third floor at the top of the stairs. My room is right next to yours... The girls have the second floor, and we hope they won't disturb us all night."
"I'll check the house," Harry replied, cutting her off. He couldn't resist the allure of her huge breasts and tight, round ass, so he cast her a lustful glance. Quietly scolding himself for his weakness, he knew he could never tell her about his humiliating thoughts.
He walked around the massive mansion, closing shutters on the first floor and observing how the windows were made of thick thermal glass reinforced with runes, which emitted a delicate power that kept the cold out of the rooms. A picture by the stairs leading up instructed him to leave his shoes downstairs. He silently made his way up the stairs and noticed light coming from behind the door of one of the bedrooms.
He eavesdropped on the conversation between his sisters and their friends as he approached to knock. They were talking about someone named Hermione, and Harry couldn't resist listening in.
"Why do you always bring up Hermione? I told you, I have no idea. She came from a wealthy Mogul family, and yet she was quiet and strange enough. "I thought he could do better," commented one of his sisters.
"That's something people usually say. Do you remember when Ginny had a crush on him in the early years?" the second one observed.
"Is that why?" said Fleur, her voice fainter than the others but still audible.
"Forget about Harry. Did you expect us to get serious this week? We're on the brink of a breakthrough, but we need to focus on the right material, or we'll get lost in the algorithm." "Daph, did you bring your cosplay stuff?" asked one of the friends.
"Of course, of course!" "I even brought all the swords and guns that the boys from the history club made for me," added Daphne, another friend.
"Great, do you guys have your costumes?" Rose asked.
"I wasn't sure about that with the student..." "Don't you think the skirts and blouses are too short, Rose?" Fleur asked.
"I understand if you're uneasy. But look at yourself, Fleur... "You have the sexiest body I've ever seen, and if you felt as beautiful as you look, you'd have enough supporters to last a lifetime," Rose reassured Fleur.
What he heard was incredible to Harry. His sisters and friends were too consumed with their own social media fame to care about anything else. He groaned and left, thinking they would eventually come to their senses.
Fleur's rough voice spoke to Harry: "You're sweet. But I'm too tall, too mature, and these are too oddly proportioned for me."
Rose objected, but Harry strained to hear her as the door cracked under his weight. "Who's there?!" Rose yelled in fear.
"It's me," said Harry, trying to calm his younger sister. "The storm is turning into a blizzard, and we need to close all the windows."
"Okay, stop bothering us and leave us alone!" Rose exploded with anger. Harry was surprised by her anger, but he remembered Fleur's earlier comments and took a deep breath. "Okay, goodnight."
"You too," Fleur replied, shocked. Harry smiled to himself, pleased that he surprised her.
"I'll go get the shutters from our room." "I saw them when I unpacked," Harry explained before leaving.
"Daph, wait!" Fleur's voice stopped him. Harry tilted his head and caught a glimpse of the golden-lit space inside. Daphne was rushing out of the room, followed by Rose, who stood behind her companion. Fleur caught Harry's eye as she stood naked in front of a large mirror on the wall. Her hands tried to cover herself, but they couldn't hide her breasts and genitals.
"Stop staring, you pervert," Rose said, pulling Harry out of his trance. Daphne's and his sister's laughter followed him as he crouched up the stairs to the third level.
The sound of their laughter echoed in Harry's mind as he closed up the rest of the house. He slipped into bed, regretting that he booked this vacation in the first place. As visions of Fleur's naked body filled his head, he chose them over more sinister ones. When he finally fell asleep, he heard the creak of his aunt's mattress as she climbed into bed, and the storm outside roared, but the house held up easily. Wrapped in warm flannel sheets, Harry slept like a log. The sound of their laughter echoed in Harry's mind as he closed up the rest of the house. So I was going to post what is, sigh, part 4 of the TLJ/SY/OLBH AU, but then I saw that I hadn’t posted the previous parts here despite it being in the tumblr compilation? So have links: main fic, part 1, part 2.
____________________________________________
Shen Qingqiu will be kind. He will not mock Liu Qingge to his face. He, after all, understands how delicate the situation they were thrust in can be. It’s not his fault Shen Qingqiu finds the idea that Liu Qingge of all people is being courted by not one, but multiple demons hilarious.
Shen Qingqiu sets his poker face before making his presence known. “Shidi, hello. You haven’t stopped by in a while, so I thought I would check on you for once. How are you doing?”
Liu Qingge pokes out of another room, a frazzled look on his face. “Shen Qingqiu.”
“Indeed.”
He frowns. “Is there something wrong? Do you need help”
“No, I’m fine. Your disciples are doing a fine job of keeping demons away from my peak. Send them my regards.” They’re not doing a perfect job, Shen Qingqiu has had to send enterprising demons away, more or less violently, himself to protect his own disciples from their overeager pursuits a few times, but he can manage this much. It’s harder to explain to some people why they should not be encouraging members of another race with varying levels of comprehension regarding human morals to court them. “I’m not here about myself. I was wondering if Shidi needed support? You’ve been so busy fighting intruders, have you had any time for your own problems?” He’s not stupid enough not to recognise the deflection technique. Liu Qingge has to be busying himself with his preferred activity, fighting, not to think about the sect master writing appropriately diplomatic refusals to offers of bloody, bloody marriages.
Liu Qingge’s expression instantly darkens. “I’m fine.”
That was the least enthusiastic “I’m fine” Shen Qingqiu has ever heard. “I’m sure you are. Why wouldn’t you be? It’s nice, being popular.”
…Ah, damn it. He told himself he wouldn’t poke the wound. “I’m sorry. I spoke too much. I just wanted Liu-shidi to know he could count on me if he needed someone.”
He can see the storm clouds gathering around Liu Qingge. “I don’t need help. I’m busy. Leave.”
It would be nice if there was a way of telling Liu Qingge that Shen Qingqiu was one of the few people that actually were not there to witness his shame, but then he would have to explain to him why he wasn’t. Liu Qingge seems like he’s one of the few peak lords who have not figured it out. He would rather keep it that way, thanks. The chances of Liu Qingge attempting to distract himself by trying, and quite possibly failing, to slaughter the current dynasty of the demon realm are much too close to a hundred percent for Shen Qingqiu’s liking. “Fine. I see I’m disturbing Shidi. I’ll take my leave. Shidi can just remember he can visit whenever he wishes.” Shen Qingqiu might miss their sparring sessions just a little bit, okay? He gets that in his current mood, Liu Qingge might be too angry for him to handle, but still.
Well, he’ll leave for now. Liu Qingge will end up beating enough demons to soothe his bruised ego someday.
Hopefully soon, because there is a demon in his bamboo house when he returns.
Shen Qingqiu inwardly sighs. This isn’t even the first time this happens. Demons who manage to enter Cang Qiong often have little idea of who they want to reach, or which peak hosts them. Some spots the bamboo house and figure it’s as good a starting point as any. “I understand that we are currently negotiating peace, but by human standards, showing up uninvited in someone’s home is quite rude. Please return to your realm and wait until the negotiations are over with. We will be in a better position to receive a delegation properly once the terms are settled.”
The demon looks strangely nervous, lost in a somewhat endearing way? He’s obviously high-ranking enough to have been at the banquet, though Shen Qingqiu does not remember him. “Junshang shouldn’t have to wait that long.”
…Nothing about this comment is good. “I haven’t introduced myself. I am Shen Qingqiu, peak lord of Qing Jing. You are?”
“My name is Zhuzhi-Lang.”
…Yep, he’s in trouble. That’s Tianlang-Jun’s beloved nephew. Rumor has it they are closer than Tianlang-Jun and his own son.
A high-ranking demon indeed. “Can I ask why you are visiting? Maybe you are looking for the sect master? I will escort you to Qiong Ding right away.” As much as he hates having to do this, Yue Qingyuan is better positioned to handle this than he is.
“I’m not. I’m here for Peak Lord Shen.”
Sweat rolls down his back. “And why is that? I cannot conceive of a reason for us to meet like this.” If only Liu Qingge had followed him home, he would not be in this mess. Liu Qingge would have taken one look at this one and pulled out his sword. He would have taken all the fallout, and no one would have blamed him for it because what else is Liu Qingge supposed to do when he’s faced with a demon? One intruding on a peak lord no less?
Shen Qingqiu is not Liu Qingge. He has no idea whether he can take on Zhuzhi-Lang, but he doubts it. He’s not a defeating-heavenly-demon type of cultivator.
“Junshang wants to see you. He’s been waiting, but since you won’t come, I’ll take you to him.”
Nope. Not happening. “I’m afraid I can’t come with you. As I’ve said before, the negotiations aren’t over. We are still enemy factions. I will not be visiting the demon realm on its ruler’s whims, especially not by myself. If my presence is absolutely needed, then it should be requested via formal channels.” It won’t be a marriage proposal, right? There’s no way, right? Sure, the ruler of the demon realm is a known widower and thus available, but he has options. Many, many options. Hell, Shen Qingqiu is certain some sects have offered some of their own to get an advantage.
Shen Qingqiu freezes when something cool and… scaly? slides up his ankle.
He looks down. “What is that?”
Zhuzhi-Lang seems genuinely remorseful when he replies. “One of the many snakes that follow me around. This one is poisonous. Please don’t try to remove it.”
“Could you please get it off?”
“I can’t.”
“Allow me to doubt that.”
Zhuzhi-Lang does not address this. “If Peak Lord Shen follows me back to the realm, it should get bored and leave without issue. If he doesn’t, it will get lonely. Friends will surely join it.”
For fuck’s sake why is this his life. “If Tianlang-Jun wanted to see me so badly, why send someone to… invite me in this way? I still don’t understand why a formal request wasn’t made. My disappearance will cause issues between our realms.”
“I’m sure Junshang will explain everything.”
That does not fill Shen Qingqiu with confidence, but nothing about this exchange does, especially not what he believes to be a second snake settling around his other ankle. He has no trust in his ability to resist poison just because he’s a cultivator, because he is a cultivator in Proud Immortal Demon Way.
“Let’s say I do not want to follow you. What then?”
Zhuzhi-Lang looks even more remorseful. “I can’t disappoint Junshang.”
Shen Qingqiu supposes that’s answer enough. “I will be sure to explain your role in this situation when the sect demands reparations.”
Zhuzhi-Lang shrugs. “Junshang will smooth things over.”
Of course he will.
Maybe he should let the snakes bite him. It would be less painful for everyone than whatever Yue Qingyuan will decide to do when he learns that Shen Qingqiu was kidnapped from his own home.
___________________
Zhuzhi-Lang probably did not lie regarding his identity. If Shen Qingqiu gets more than a few second glances while they wander the palace, no one dares ask questions of Zhuzhi-Lang.
Maybe the snake curled around his neck also makes his situation clear enough that they figure he’s not a threat. It’s a shame, really, because if his life did not hang on not pissing off the seven snakes he’s now carrying, he might try to pet them. Some of them look friendly.
Not friendly enough to calm his rising anxiety at returning so close to the scene of the crime. Treading familiar grounds is a clear reminder that this isn’t just about surviving kidnapping via misguided snake handlers; it’s a return to one of the worst moments of his life, and to the side of at least one of the most dangerous individuals he has had the displeasure of meeting.
Their journey ends in what looks like a study. A very fancy study, with shelves of books Shen Qingqiu really wants to take a second look at, except there is an individual sat at the desk and that stops him from wandering around.
Tianlang-Jun looks politely surprised. “Peak Lord Shen. What an unexpected pleasure.”
Shen Qingqiu steels himself. He had guessed that this was an independent action from Zhuzhi-Lang, because he got the idea that the young man might be a bit strong-headed. “The feeling is reciprocated. You have a very… insistent nephew. Who might wish to take his snakes back now that he has me where he wanted me.”
He’s sure even Tianlang-Jun could feel his complete lack of bafflement when snakes start sliding out of his clothes to instead curl all over Zhuzhi-Lang.
Shen Qingqiu grits his teeth when Tianlang-Jun’s response is only amusement. “You’ll have to forgive him. My dear nephew is very loyal. He does whatever he thinks best for me at all times, no matter the consequences.” He turns toward Zhuzhi-Lang, gracing him with a fond smile almost out of place on him. Not enough manipulative charm. “As always, I appreciate the lengths you go through for my sake, though I sometimes do wish you’d think things through before you act. Let’s talk more about this later? I apparently have a guest to entertain.”
Yeah, no. “Please don’t bother yourself on my account. I want nothing more than to return to Cang Qiong. Let me go, and I’ll be gone before you know it. This way, no one has to learn about this incident, and negotiations can continue as planned. Surely you agree this is the best plan?”
The door closes behind him to announce Zhuzhi-Lang’s departure. “Nonsense. Why would I waste my nephew’s kind attention in this way? You’re here. This,” as he gestures to whatever paperwork he was working on, “is unimportant. I can certainly afford to welcome a guest from Cang Qiong Sect properly.”
Shen Qingqiu has no desire to be around him, or his son and his control over Shen Qingqiu’s body by way of a terrible plot device. “I still don’t understand why you would bother with me. I might be a peak lord, but I’m not anyone particularly important to the current talks. Why would your nephew take the time to… accompany me here?”
“My nephew does not concern himself with the talks. He trusts I will lead them to fruition, as I will. He is, however, very concerned with my wellbeing, and does like to go out of his way to please me. I might have mentioned you a few times, and it was all it took.”
In what terms, pray tell? Is Zhuzhi-Lang even old enough to learn of the details of their acquaintance? Probably, since Luo Binghe certainly is, but he does feel younger than his cousin. “Please don’t mention me anymore then. Many would enjoy the attention; how about you turn yours toward them?” Seriously, beside radiating evil-mastermind energy, the man has it all: the looks, the wealth, the power. Shen Qingqiu still has no idea why he’s bothering with him.
This also means Shen Qingqiu can’t afford to anger him, because he would not survive it.
“Your insistence on evading me is starting to be hurtful. I do believe I did right by you in your time of need. You certainly showed all signs of enjoyment, and I do mean all of them. Why are you so reluctant to be in my presence?”
And he tried so hard to keep his composure, but it is now a lost cause. He knows he’s blushing, but he can’t help it. “I can’t believe you don’t understand why the situation is embarrassing to me, or why I would prefer to keep it quiet.”
“I don’t, actually. You were not the target of the event. Everyone from your delegation was also affected. If anything, considering you felt the symptoms quickly enough to leave the feast, you were probably more sensitive to whatever was used than most; all your actions can easily be forgiven in such circumstances. Not that I would spread tales of your deeds. I would much prefer to keep them to myself.”
Shen Qingqiu does not choke on dark laughter, but it’s a close one. Keeping it to himself was doomed from the start considering Luo Binghe’s role in all this. Now, many at Cang Qiong are also aware. Secrecy is impossible.
Not that he wants to share that fact. His cheeks are already red enough without revealing that their… indiscretion is somewhat public knowledge.
Shen Qingqiu pulls the fan he brought with him to fight the rising heat away, “You are not just another member of the demonic delegation, and neither is your son. I could be considered compromised. I just want to put this behind me and move on.”
Tianlang-Jun reaches for his cheek, and for some reason Shen Qingqiu lets him. It’s as if he’s rooted to the spot. “As I said, I don’t plan on making our relationship public, but I don’t see why that stops the two of us from getting better acquainted. I remembered you reveling in every minute. I’m sure it would be just as delightful the second time around, especially since there would be no interloper coming between us.”
Shen Qingqiu is outraged he even dared voice that option out loud, but for some reason his tongue is like lead in his mouth. Punching the man might be possible, but it seems like that would take so much effort, not to mention there are parts of him that don’t disagree as much as…
The. Complete. And. Utter. Asshole.
The shock of the discovery allows him to step on Tianlang-Jun’s foot as hard as he can manage. “You! The blood! That was you!” Because he is certain that is what is happening to him right now. This insufferable viper has been playing him for so long and still dares to try and seduce him like this! Unbelievable!
“Ah, so you knew.”
“How could I not! You weren’t exactly subtle about it! It’s not like I could sleep through it! I thought it was Luo Binghe because of that reputation of his, but it was you all along! Seriously, if you’re that against the talks, end them and let’s go back to war. Why waste your time on playing me like this!”
“Oh dear, you’re misunderstanding me. This has nothing to do with the negotiations. I was honest when I said I have no intention of making this public, and I knew that neither would you. If I wanted the negotiations over with, I would just murder one of your envoys and that would be that. No, no, I do like the company of humans. I am doing what needs to be done to facilitate that. I just also enjoyed your own, personal, company, and, as much as you might wish to deny it, the feeling was very much reciprocated. I was trying to get you to accept yourself. Despite our short acquaintance, I could already tell there is much I could teach you about yourself. I could also tell you would not be open to discussing the matter, so I forced it. My darling nephew pushed the deadline forward a bit, but maybe it could be to your advantage. If you were to let me in, I would guarantee you you would not regret it.”
Shen Qingqiu cannot possibly be held responsible for murder in those circumstances. No judge would ever find him guilty.
Tianlang-Jun would kill him first, but Shen Qingqiu would inflict as much pain as he can before he goes. “That’s it. You’re apparently too dense to get it, so here it is: I have zero interest in a repeat performance. I do not want to spend any time, in any form, with you or your son. Your whole realm, not to mention a significant part of the human realm, I’m sure, wants nothing more than to sit on your dick. Go spend time with them and leave. me. the. fuck. alone.”
Shen Qingqiu’s heart sinks into his stomach when Tianlang-Jun only looks thrilled. “Darling, I do love a challenge.”
It takes all the winds off his sails. “Just kill me now and be done with it.” How is this his fate? Why is this happening? How long before Luo Binghe shows up, because Zhuzhi-Lang did not have him walk through secret corridors. He was seen, Luo Binghe will know about it, and he’ll come here. Because this is Shen Qingqiu’s life now.
“It would be so easy to remind you how pleasurable life can be. All you need to do is say yes.”
“Why bother with my consent? Your blood flows into my veins. You already demonstrated a willingness to use it for your own amusement against my will.”
The moue Tianlang-Jun graces him with is incitation to murder. “That would be no fun.”
Shen Qingqiu can’t with this man. At all. “Please send me back to my home. Please. You’re not going to get what you want from me, not if I have any say about it.”
Tianlang-Jun lets out a long, drawn-out sigh. “Your life could be so much more interesting if you gave it a chance, but fine. I will let you sleep on it for a while.”
Shen Qingqiu perks up. “Actual, uninterrupted sleep?” It’s been so long.
“I thought cultivators did not need sleep?”
“Lies. I need it. Lots of it.”
“My bad then. I will be more careful next time.”
“No next time.”
Tianlang-Jun’s answering smile is blinding in his lack of assertion.
Maybe Shen Qingqiu will ask Liu Qingge to marry him. Two birds, one stone. He’ll get it.
“I know you have people who can open portals. Send me home already.”
“Your wish is my command.”
“I’ve never heard a more obvious lie.”
