A RL AU where Donna is Dr. Donna Beneviento, your Professor of Botany and Toxicology. Because we deserve it.

You met Dr Beneviento in a totally cliche way. By bumping into her while you're running late for your first day at college. At that time you didn't even realise she is a professor at the college. Dr. Donna has this young baby face that would make anyone think she's a senior at college, and not a woman well into her thirties.

So it's no wonder that you made a complete fool of yourself in the first meeting. You apologise 10 times for knocking her books all over the place. You also noticed her trying to hide her scarred side of face while gathering the very same books with you. Like a over enthusiastic idiot, you went ahead and tried to make your future professor feel comfortable about it with you.

"Scars are beautiful in my opinion. They show you survived so much. You don't need to hide them, at least from me."

Thankfully, Dr Beneviento didn't take any offence to your eager compliments, and instead just blushed and smile at you. That was enough for you to get your first crush at college. But like the gay panicky idiot you are, you didn't take her name or number. Still, you figured your roommates would know about her. How hard can it be to find a beautiful pale faced senior in college?

Not so hard, you figured out as the very same beautiful woman showed up in your Botany lecture. That's right, the woman you had tried to shamelessly flirt with was your Professor.

Understandably, you were mortified. You approached her after class, fully intending to kowtow before the professor in apology. Dr Beneviento though shyly waved your apologies away, instead asking you to assist her in her botanical garden.

A first year being asked to be a professor's assistant is no doubt strange. But Dr Beneviento was so insistent you take the job. She even went ahead and assured you a good pay and two days holiday in a week. Something she honestly didn't even need to do. You were already such a simp for her and would have done it for free.

And so starts you getting to know your Botany professor up close. The woman was almost always squeaky shy, the tempo of her voice barely reaching above her whisper. But when she stands on her podium, teaching a batch of 100+ students, you swear a spilt personality takes over the normally shy professor. It shows that Donna knows the shit she is teaching, and she demands respect over it from her students.

However, it soon became obvious that Dr Beneviento harbours a sweet spot for you. You'll always remember that one moment where she had caught you sleeping in one of her classes. You had stayed up all late tending to the new batch of soil you're preparing for the garden. The usually impartial professor came up to your seat, took off her trenchcoat and draped it over your sleeping form. She even went ahead patting your head before continuing with her class. She also did this in front of 100+ students.

After this, you can't help but get your hopes up high. Still, she's your professor and there's nothing you can do on your end. What if you have it all wrong and Dr Beneviento cares for you because you're her niece Angie's friend? And so you keep quiet.

Little do you know, Professor Donna Beneviento fell for you at first sight. Inviting you to be her botanical garden assistant was a ploy to get close to you. Inviting you and Angie to her cottage for dinner was a ploy to get to know you outside of classes and work. But just like you, Donna is also afraid of making the first move. Especially when you're still her student and she is so much older then you in age. For now, she is content to admire you from as close as she can get to you.

But in private? You can’t convince me she wouldn’t love having her hair played with, and if you scratch her scalp? She will moan.

She’s not used to gentle displays of affection, especially at the beginning of your relationship. But after she warms up to it? She loves it, privately of course.

She especially enjoys having you sit in her lap while she’s sharpening her weapons. Often using your skin to test if they’re good enough, if she doesn’t smell blood as soon as she presses it up against you it’s not sharp enough.

She often kills maids who are rude to you and gifts you certain parts of them. After the fourth pair of eyes you had to explain to her organs weren’t exactly a gift you could keep. She absolutely loves physical affection, and she truly doesn’t care what other people think. She constantly has to be touching you, or she will whine until she is.

Obviously, she’s the most clingy of her family, and the best cuddler. Like, are you sad? Bonk, Dani’s got ya.

You can’t convince me she wouldn’t love to sit in your lap to read, she loves it. She often reads aloud to you when you’re upset, and loves the same being done for her.

She loves it when you hold her, whether it be her hand, or her thigh, she constantly wants your hand on her.

She loves hugging you, like, absolutely loves it. She loves feeling your arms wrap around her and hold her to you, she says it makes her feel calm. I swear to the gods a hug from this girl could probably cure my depression.

She wants to spend as much time as physically possible with you every single day, which often leads to you not finishing your work.

When she’s particularly hungry, she loves pulling you against her before burying her head into the crook of your neck and inhaling as much of your scent as she can. She always marks you up before drinking from you, to show everyone you’re hers.

During the colder months, she enjoys nestling under a pile of blankets with you. Often giggling when you squeak at the feeling of her freezing hands against your sides.

She loves spending time with you while reading, but, (when it’s warm enough out for her to go outside) she often drags you out to the garden to make flower crowns together.

She loves sleeping curled into you, with her arm flung around your waist and her head buried in your shoulder.

- oh, you want a drink? well you’ve got to ask the maid that she’s stationed to your bedside until she gets back

- she personally runs you a bath to settle your temperature

- alci will act all calm and collected on the outside as to not panic you but oh on the inside she’s terrified that something worse than illness can happen to you

- she’s more noticeably on edge towards everyone else though, she hasn’t got you, her comfort shadow, following her around all day

- from the corner of her eye she can see your head constantly dropping and bouncing right back up as you read and try to fight of exhaustion

- she holds her hand to your forehead to push your head up but that leads her notice the rise in your temperature

- she’s read enough novels to understand that you’re sick

- instantly trying to remember all the ways in which the characters in books take care of their partners

- she’ll read to you as she burns some of the herbs that donna told her will make you feel better

cassandra:

- she’s so aggressively caring

- doesn’t quite understand that you’re i’ll until you can’t hold up the dagger she gave to you

- yeh, that other maid that brought the flu into the castle isn’t going to last very long. how dare they make you sick?

- you’re not allowed out of her sight for even a second

- but she’s honestly scared that her rough touch is going to hurt you more than you’re already aching

- you have to remind her that you want and need her touch because it comforts you

- it is gameover for any maid that thinks they can get close to you

daniela:

- poor baby doesn’t understand what’s happening to you

- at first she’s quite oblivious to your change in pace and demeanour, she’s too caught up literally jumping off the walls

- it takes bela asking dani why your face was pale and why your were sweating profusely

- and then it all crashes down on her, she honestly thinks her human is dying, she all but carries you to alcina demanding she saves you from deaths door

- alcina has to explain that humans sometimes get sick, she also tells her some ways that will speed up your recovery process

- in the end it works perfectly because she can comfort you without the prospect of becoming ill and you’re so warm that it does wonders to warm her through the winter

- she is a little mopey that you can’t be as active and play games with her though

donna:

- notices straight away, as soon as your temperature starts to rise she’s on it

- it probably also helped that angie kept complaining that you were broken (you were too exhausted to play tag with her)

- she’ll treat you even more delicately than she did before

- being waited on hand and foot, you’ve always got a warm tea ready for you

- donna trying to keep her dolls away from you (they really just wanted to help but donna figured that them climbing all over you wasn’t much help)

- she definitely knows some sort of concoction that’ll get you feeling better faster than normal
