Hello! I’m back on Belusylva island again, which means more photographs!

There’s lots of Bounsweet here, they’re such little guys, oh so round. Very cute. Did you know these guys can glide? They spin the leaves on top of their head round like a helicopter, it’s pretty cool to see.

I saw the leafeon again, it had a little sobble friend with it but it was verrry shy so I wasn’t able to get any good photos of it. The leafeon seemed friendly than last time, I wonder if it recognised me.

I’m pretty impressed that I was able get this shot. I got jump scared by this liepard lol, I didn’t see it in the tree and then it just jumped out and scared the shit out of me.

so what the fuck happened last night

answer: the universe hates me

basically as you all may know I was going to reconnect with my brother. this was already fraught with peril because a) he likely believes I’ve been dead for months and b) my reunion with my parents did not go well. however, he was the person I was closest too… basically my whole life actually. I missed him, and I didn’t want to let myself be ruled by fear anymore.

last night, I visited the jewellery store he and his fiancé had set up together. But I didn’t find him there. I did find his fiancé, and another close friend of his (I can’t remember her name atm but she was his rival). and, for some fucking reason, I also found the woman that I do not know the name of but will be referring to as Massive Cunt or MC for short.

MC, for those unaware, has attacked me on two previous occasions. The first time was in Lumiose and it was literally out of nowhere - she stalked me, then tried to catch me in a quick ball (I broke out because fuck that). The second time was… a bit more serious. It was on Belusylva Island, where she’d tracked me down and attempted to recapture me, this time using a master ball.

(by the way, those things should be illegal. or at least more heavily regulated. that’s a tangent for another post.)

I reacted badly. I panicked, and I attacked her. I can’t even remember what move I used now… power gem, I think? It doesn’t matter - what matters is I attacked her and then I ran the fuck away. It was a shitty move and I feel awful for it, but I was scared.

And now, for some fucking reason, she’s appeared in my brother’s store.

When MC saw me she freaked out, set her Greninja on me. Which hurt, btw. I think I took a water shuriken straight to the face. She ended up being stopped by passers-by, who thought she was attacking a random kid for no reason.

These passers-by also tried to help me, get me to a hospital, but. I was scared. I can’t go to a regular hospital - they wouldn’t be able to help me, and if they tried they’d find out what I am. So I ran again, ended up passing out in some back street. Which brings us to now.

My Pokédex app informs me I’m at 12/130 HP which is Not Good. I’m gonna see if I can buy some potions, hope no one recognises me. I… don’t think I’m ready to leave this city just yet. Yes, there’s a woman here who’s out for my blood, but I can’t come all this way to find my brother just to leave at the first hurdle.

…I’m going to try to find his fiancé. See if she’s sympathetic to me or what. Find out where my brother is.

Holly and Trace had interacted before the encounter in Lumiose - Holly captured Trace in Sinnoh and released them into the Crater, believing them to be a kind of monster originating from there. Trace doesn’t remember this - it was during a time where Uxie had wiped their memories, causing them to revert to a ‘feral’ state.

Holly, Ceri and Demetria believe Trace is dead, and is currently being impersonated by a monster.

Alec is currently comatose after contracting a virus in Hoenn.

Dang it, now I wanna make a Lental OC.

All I know for certain is that his name is Lior and that I have a potential faceclaim for him though. Thinking he's from a town on Belusylva Island. He only has one pokemon, but I don't know which pokemon that's going to be.

...Personality wise he's a man of few words. In fact, he'll make a point of trying to find simplest way to explain things that might not make sense to someone he's talking to.

He's studying to become a professor's assistant, or maybe even a fully fledged professor, in Kalos. That said, as much as he would love to work under Professor Sycamore, he doesn't feel their fields of study align all that well: Mega Evolution requires a pokemon to have a trainer, and Lior is more interested in how pokemon interact in their natural environment. Thankfully, due to his wanderlust, he's not against relocating to another region with a professor that does align with his interests.

Hello, unfortunately I wasn’t able to take photos yesterday as I was busy doing researching, but I was able to take photos today :) I went to see the florges I’ve been visiting to take more photos of her and she ended up following me back home, so I guess she’s part of the team now. I’ve decided to nickname her Marigold

I would also like to say that I’m going camping tomorrow. I’m going to be going over to Belusylva island tomorrow to take more photos and conduct research, I’m super excited! I’m curious to see what Pokemon live on Belusylva, it’s got a tropical/jungle environment so there’s probably going to be lots of new Pokemon for me to photograph!

The free content update for New Pokémon Snap will launch on August 3, 2021.

This update adds three new areas with day & night version (Kakure Loophole,Yo-Yo River,Karari Wilderness) and 20 new Pokémon added

Overview

Get ready for even more adventures in New Pokemon Snap! Starting August 3 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET, players with an internet connection can download a free content update that will include beautiful, new areas to visit—plus 20 additional Pokemon to discover.

Three stunning new areas will be available to explore:

Secret Side Path (Day / Night) – The NEO-ONE shrinks to a tiny size when you explore this area, so the Pokémon you see will look gigantic! You can even hear their breathing and footsteps in this thrilling area, and you might spot new kinds of behavior from Pokémon you’ve seen before.

Mightywide River (Day / Night) – Mightywide River is a nurturing water source that provides the whole of Belusylva Island with sustenance. You’ll be conducting research as you ride down the river, so be on the lookout for rapids as you search for Pokémon, and keep your camera ready so you don’t miss capturing them in action.

Barren Badlands (Day / Night) – In this area, you’ll research the badlands of Voluca Island, where dry winds from the desert blow.​ This area has many peculiar features, from geysers to poisonous, gas-spewing swamps. Pokémon may be hiding underground or in the rocky cliffs, so keep your eyes peeled for them while you’re on your expedition.

Across the three new areas, players will find a variety of Pokemon, including those already familiar from players’ journey across the Lental region as well as 20 more Pokemon that couldn’t be found before.

Darlain Pokemon AU Photodex Entry 5

"Back in action, we traveled to Belusylva Island, a mountainous region covered in the wild Founja Jungle. I've never been in this type of climate before, so I was very excited to jump in! As expected, the wildlife was teeming out here!

These little Bounsweets were twirling from tree to tree, and seemed pretty curious about me! They followed behind me for quite awhile! Their stems can rotate, producing little updrafts of air!

Saw this Beautifly getting a drink near this waterfall pond. These guys did -not- care about my presence at all, often flittering slowly in front of me, and even bumping right into me. One track mind I guess?

I've never seen an Arbok in it's natural habitat before, and they're imposing! This one seemed to have noticed a Whooper in the bushes, and was trying to get at it for an easy meal. Poor thing, but I guess that's life. It did slither off when I got closer though.

The Whooper was not happy. Nice to have the opportunity for a close up, though!

I startled an Apom, and after getting a rather loud lecture from her, she ran off into some brush, using Cut to clear the way!

Try as I might, I could not get this Slaking to move, or look at me! I've heard stories about their stubborn, lazy personalities, but... I even tried hitting it with some fluffruit but nothing, not even a flinch.

Liepard are beautiful, graceful creatures, but I was glad to have the safety of the NEO-ONE protecting me, this one pounced at me shortly after I got this shot, not sure if he was playing or really saw me as a meal! I often see them napping during the day in the trees.

I shook away a Metapod when hovering through the canopy, it caught itself with it's silk string, slowly pulling itself up to it's attachment on the branches above. Hard to see them.... which is probably good as...

This Toucannon was woken by the commotion! It gave me a rather irritated squawk before settling back into a nap, I was guessing they weren't terribly active at this time of day.

This Quagsire was playing with her Whooper pal by the waterfall pond, they looked so cute together! She even taught the little guy to do a proper cannonball!

I went back into the volcano area and I got to Research Level 2. Then I did an expedition in the Belusylva island. When I went back to the lab, the Professor said he had found a new area higher up on the mountains.
