I will always be a normal guy defender, I don't want vigilantes who always look like super models unless it makes sense for their characters (Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Kori Anders). I want super-heros that look like the guy you could stumble on the supermarket. Your classmate. Your coworker. A random face in a ocean of people. Absolutely and completely forgetful unless you love them.

I want super-heros to take of their mask and the person be like "THAT'S JUST SOME GUY." their face leak and people be like "WHO 🗣️🗣️ THE FUCK IS THAT⁉️‼️‼️‼️🔥🔥" enough with conventionally attractive heros who look like bodybuilders more some heros who would be your Uber driver and you wouldn't pay attention to them twice.

I don't know where this is headed, but here are just some weird thoughts.

One path Shannon could have taken with the books (but I'm happy she didn't, I like the books as is) is having elves be racist, but, like, in a different way. In the books, it's all about talents and stuff, but you know how they're all OBSESSED with light? People with darker skin have more melanin which is a pigment in your skin, hair, and eyes. It's due to genetics and how much time your ancestors spent in the sun. It blocks UV rays and prevents sunburns and stuff. That's why native Americans, people from African countries, etc. have darker skin than Nothern Europeans. They literally have had more sun exposure for generations.

So, like, what if darker skinned elves were seen as lesser because their skin doesn't take in as much light? Idk, just the whole thing with everyone having blue eyes (less melanin) and honestly it seems like a weird elf thing that could have happened.

Sophie would get bullied for having brown eyes ("lesser") and that's one of the social injustices she notices more in her life once she actually becomes affected by it. And there could be an interesting storyline about Wylie being looked down on because he has darker skin AND a LIGHT centered ability.

Things could have even gone as far as the matchmaking systems being set up in such a way that less and less elves with darker skin are born with abilities, adding to the racist views. Keep in mind that I don't think racism would show in the same way it does in reality, but in the same way that the talentless are spoken about in the books. That everyone has a job and "place".

Please don't get the wrong message, I in no way think of darker skin colors as lesser, this is all speculation about how world building in kotlc could have been done. (don't come for me lol)

PK and WL need to talk about something private, and WL looks at the tiny vessel tagging along by her wyrm's side

He sighs lightly, "Yeah, I get where you're coming from... Vessel, come here."

He kneels down and orders them to sit by the door and wait for them while they talk, says he'll come pick them up once they're done and not to move, then the two go to talk on the balcony and close the door behind them

At some point, Xero/the guard bursts in and attacks PK in the middle of the conversation, managing to take them by surprise and so gets one good swing in before PK darts away and retaliates, pinning them down with soul blades, though he has to keep his wife from killing them on the spot - he doesn't want to be so hasty, knowing they're infected and not themself. He pulls out the sword from his chest and that's when they realise, it's covered in void...

Child harm/near death TW beyond this point

After a moment of shock White Lady, who's closest to the doors, runs out and all her husband can hear is a horrified, heartbroken scream. He feels nauseous, his stomach twisting into knots and feeling like his heart is in his throat as he runs out after her. He sees her in tears, cradling a tiny bundle soaked in void. There's- there's so much void. It covers the floor where he left their child vessel and soaks through his lady's shawl and clothes as she cradles them in her arms.

For a moment he's paralysed, before he just snaps. He flies back onto the balcony, screaming at the possessed guard that he'll kill her, he'll make her pay for this, and he slays them in his rage (something he'll regret and feel ashamed of later), still hitting and screaming at Her well after the possessed person is dead and she can't hear him anymore.

He collapses, panting, near tears, and just gets himself up and stumbles out the door and towards the two, he wants to see how bad it is for himself.

Flower survives, but just barely. They had multiple stab wounds and lost their left arm, if not for their parents immediately healing them they'd be dead. They're barely older than 5, still so very little and defenceless, PK is horrified at how could anyone hurt a baby this young and helpless (hypocrite), even if they're not alive.

They're still on bed rest because that was so much damage and their mother doesn't leave their side and their father only leaves when necessary. They still don't realise Flower's alive and they know they shouldn't be so attached but it still feels like their baby and they can't just leave them. WL spends the entire day by their side, gently stroking their hair and horns with her now permanently void stained hands and softly coos and sings to them

Of course, they quickly realise they ARE alive because no way in hell a toddler is getting this hurt and NOT crying and screaming the second they wake up <3

Which just makes this situation so much worse

I'm gonna deliberately ignore the assignment and instead list my 4 top favourite soundtracks because making me pick one is criminal

Sealed Vessel - it's just. Really fucking cool. The build up at the beginning, the following bit that makes me think of a violent and frantic fight (very fitting for The Hollow Knight's boss fight), the subsequent crash and the feeling of tragedy. It's literally what it is, it's tragedy, the last desperate fight and death, all conveyed in a song. And the ending which gives me that somber feeling. It makes me feel miserable, I love that.

White Palace - It makes me feel weirdly nostalgic for what once was, a period of time we don't even get to see in the game - only small glimpses of it at most. It's really cool.

Pure Vessel - It conveys a feeling of power and holiness, it's just. So fucking good

Daughter of Hallownest - It's energetic! It's just cool! And I'm such a huge sucker for different songs sharing elements, especially when it's done to convey a story, it's just good. Hornet's OST having elements from the White Palace gives her like, a royal, holy feeling to me, yet it's still so clearly hers - fast paced and energetic.

This probably wasn't the best explanation because I just lack the words to convey my feelings about songs but OUGH I love these four

-this is a little spoiler from my work for Geneuary I dont know if this is legal but I wanted to share cause is super sweet. Forgive me, but take it as a little sneak peek-

You know geneuary is just around the corner and i haven't been able to make as much progress as i want. Specially for the holidays.

I was eager to end at least one lineart today but my niece and nephew visited me yesterday and stay until today. So I could only work while they were sleep.

This morning I could succesfully finish lineart and apparently I was pretty loud about my happines cause my niece come to see what I was doing, I tell her I was drawing (she loves to draw too and specially coloring books) She ask me how I could draw on the computer and I show her and we ended with a lil collab. So here it is. I didn't pick any color desision all was her ideas. Im proud of my kid.
