Especially the line 'And worship the trousers that cling to him'

Draco stood from where he'd leaned against the desk and walked around to the blackboard. He took up the chalk and wrote 'Training Lights' on the smooth surface. "Anyone know what these are?" he called over his shoulder.

"A safety measure." A voice came from the very back of the room and Draco spun in surprise before he could bloody stop himself.

She was there.

Standing against the door, which she must have just slipped through. And Merlin, Circe and bloody Morgana, what was she wearing? It had been all conservative black robes since that first class, but right now she was so gorgeous (and so fucking sexy) that Draco almost dropped his chalk. His eyes ran up her body, from her very high heels to her closely-fitted tweed skirt, which skimmed her sleek thighs and hugged her deliciously curved waist. To a filmy blouse that he swore he could almost see through, and her hair, tame for once, laying over her shoulders in glossy waves. She was in more makeup than he'd ever seen her wear, eyes sultry and full mouth stained a deep berry colour that made him think of bursting sweetness—of sucking and tasting.

She lifted a brow.

"Er, quite right, Granger," he choked out. "Nice of you to join us."

He watched as she walked toward her seat, murmuring, "Sorry. Wizengamot hearing ran over," as she sat lightly and crossed her legs.

Draco swallowed. He realised he was still holding the chalk up. He dropped his hand.

"Training lights," he said. She nodded encouragingly.

Shit, he was still bloody staring at her.

He spun back to the board and wrote something. He wasn't sure what. Oh good, it was 'shielding charm' and not, 'your tits look amazing in that top.'

I actually really like this ep. It is problematic and I don’t generally like the love spell concept but I enjoy this one

“The only person I’m interested in is unavailable” do we think Xander is talking abt Buffy or Willow? I’m thinking Buffy

How did Amy not notice Xander was behind her?! 

Ohhhh the Calendiles tension. Sad to watch

The roses with the card that says ‘soon’….very ominous (and well-played)

This Xandelia scene is probably one of my favourites: he’s nervous, she’s touched but resolved to break up, and his speech? Not super grand or romantic but it is for them

I like how we see people in school teasing Xander abt getting dumped. It’s a great detail that adds to the story and offers incentive for his moronic actions

CORDY WAS WEARING THE LOCKET SECRETLY AWWWW 

I find it interesting that the spell calls to Diana. I assume it’s the Roman gods but Diana isn’t the goddess of love, that’d be Venus. I suppose the hunt makes sense bc the girls do chase after Xander and eventually try to kill him as a “trophy” of their love

This montage is too much, it’s so funny: Xander looking overwhelmed and panicked, girls fawning over him and the guys looking super annoyed

How did Buffy make it through school in that tiny trench coat? DRESS CODE?

I do like that Xander goes into that herd of teenage girls to save Cordy

I love the gradual reveal of Joyce being under the love spell. SO gross but the dialogue is good 

If I was Xander I’d let Dru sire me. Let’s do that eternal life together 

NB’s acting was really great this ep, he does a range of emotions really well 

Cordelia is so touched by the fact that Xander did the love spell for her and I’M touched that it’s a vulnerable moment for them when neither of us should be feeling anything positive abt this situation

I think part of why I enjoy this ep is that Xander’s actions aren’t just brushed off. Giles scolds him and is mad, Oz punches him, Willow won’t talk to him afterwards, there are consequences and his actions aren’t framed positively

Harmony’s line about Cody Weinberg is so underrated 

I LOVE CORDY’S SPEECH ABOUT HER FRIENDS BEING SHEEP, WANTING TO DATE WHO SHE WANTS

AND HARMONY BROUGHT UP MATCHING OUTFITS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EP, THEN IN THE ENDING SCENE THEY ARE MATCHING

Yet, evolving has now become a hazy reflection displaying a wintery dazed affection, ripped from the chest and substituted with rose sage scars, brewed into a potion, and placed inside a jar. Left behind hints of hypnotic discretions, ivy crest slits, and desirable mentions, dredging up the past, branding the present, with bewildered ardors’ wholehearted intentions. A living rendition that shafts vexing analogies; long gone passion’s composed rhapsody.

Sirius gave a slight nod and said nothing, looking away from Remus’ face and considering something deeply. Instinctively Sirius drew closer, his arms around Remus’ shoulders closing the very little gap that still remained between them. Remus’ chest was against Sirius’ chest. Sirius had moved, and as though it was the most natural thing in the world, rested his head very softly against Remus’ shoulder. Remus didn’t know what to do, how to react. Was this all part of the lesson, too? If it was then it was unexpected and perhaps a little awkward. It felt a little different. Remus wasn’t sure what to make of it. Still, it didn’t seem to stop him from snaking his hands gently around Sirius’ back and holding him cautiously against him.

So thrilled to be able to finally reveal this fic as mine. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

February 10, 1998

Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered aired for BTVS season 2, episode 16. Cordelia breaks up with Xander. He attempts to force Cordelia to fall back in love with him, planning to then get revenge by breaking up with her. But the magic spell goes wrong, so every woman in Sunnydale attempts to seduce Xander, except for Cordelia. This includes - among others - Amy, Buffy, Jenny, Willow, Harmony, Joyce, and Drusilla. Eventually the spell is lifted and things return to normal. Cordelia ends up returning to Xander at the end of the episode.

While Buffy still appears in several scenes, she is turned into a rat by a jealous Amy and is on-screen less than normal. This was done because Sarah Michelle Gellar was preparing for her first time hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL). Typically for an SNL episode the entire week leading up to the live episode is busy with work for the writers, host, cast and crew. That SNL episode aired on January 17, 1998.
