“Why is there a black Spider-Man” “Why is there a girl Spider-Man” “Why is there an Indian Spider-Man” “Why is the main character not Peter Parker, he should be the only one across the Multiverse” If you look at Spider-Man being a hero who’s just a human instead of a god or an alien or an all powerful being- just a human with a good heart and a love for street food and a brave soul, just a human who deals with job issues and paying rent and very relatable problems, just a human in a world that’ll take all the “just a human” protectors they can get… and think “ah, yes this mantle can only be held by one singular character”, then you’ve not only completely missed the point of Spider-Man’s character, but Peter Parker’s as well

Im losing it

I had a nightmare that I was watching beyond the spiderverse but all of the character models were different and there was no frame changing and it looked like garbage because it was rushed. Let the animators cook I swear.

i bet the true villain of the multiverse is not prowler miles, not miguel, not the spot. it’s the Comics Code Authority of America.

it was a code that heavily regulated and censored comics. the ones who decide the canon.

it doesn’t exist anymore and the reason it doesn’t is because of spiderman. gwen stacy’s death is so important because it’s what broke the code. but despite not existing anymore the very first frame of both movies is this:

why does pavitr’s universe start tumbling immediately after a canon break but miguel gets a few years? because it’s being controlled by a writer

gwen pointing out that she always dies, miles saying “things will be different” - breaking the code standard brings it all full circle.

going “beyond” the spiderverse is going beyond the fact they are fiction
