I also see where you’re coming from but I need you to know that this post was about the elders who should be teaching the youth. TikTok was an incredibly fun and weird place to be at first. 2020 was peak for fandom culture, cosplay culture, etc. etc. And all the people who were there for that should be teaching the youth it’s okay to be cringe or odd but instead they try to disguise their cringey years by A) Pretending they were never part of it, or B) Making fun of it, saying “OMG why were we so WEIRD AND DISGUSTING LMAO!? What was wrong with us!?!?”

On a more shallow level though I made this post to vent about grown men who piss and shit themselves about gay ships, hence why it was first tagged with SoapGhost. “Back in my day” was mostly a joke about me remembering a time where people like that didn’t really have access to fandom culture.
