Beyond Reach by Karin Slaughter is Book 6 in the Grant County series. My first Slaughter was Pretty Girls and now I’m working my way through her books from the beginning. “Lena is in trouble, accused of murder. Tolliver goes to help. Sara is in professional trouble and tags along. Small town sheriff, loads of illegal money everywhere and meth. Who did it?” So much tension in this book. At this point in the series you are invested in these characters (almost like they’re real people) Slaughter never lets up. She gives us the graphic description of the worst horror. And she is not afraid to KILL CHARACTERS. How could you do that @karinslaughterauthor ?
