My Askbox is Currently Only Open for Baldur’s Gate 3 Headcanons/Matchup Requests.

BG3 Match-Up Rules Are: Give me a personality description of either you or your Tav/OC. What are they like? Their best attributes? Worst attributes? Hobbies? Likes/dislikes? Preferred gender result, or if you’d like one of each gender. And if you’d be open to a poly or monogomous answer. For matchups, the limit is one per preferred gender (so max. you could get per matchup would be two).

To copy and paste my answer from an ask, here are the Rules for Requesting BG3 Headcanons:

I’d say max requests per ask is one. Like if you want two headcanons, submit those separately.

Max. characters per request can go up to 6, but expect the more characters included, the shorter the answers per character to be. So you ask for headcanons for Gale, I might give you 3 paragraphs whereas if you ask for Gale, Wyll, and Shadowheart, I may only write 1-2 paragraphs per character in that answer.

Any kind of reader is cool: male or female or gn!reader. Can use the terms afab or amab if you'd prefer as well.

Rn the BG3 characters I’m open to including Astarion, Gale, Karlach, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Wyll, Halsin, Minthara, Raphael, and Kar'niss. (I feel I have the best grasp on them personality-wise. However, if you really want someone outside of this group, submit your ask anyway, and I'll see what I can do but I can't guarantee I'll fulfill the request and that if I do answer it won't be OOC lol.)

Yo so I’m a bit bored and I saw some other pages doing this - so send me a few details about yourself, interests, appearance, likes, dislikes and I’ll match you with a character and write a little paragraph or something 🌿🗡️

It has come to my attention that I have reached my 500 follower goal. I knew i’d do something to celebrate but was lost for awhile. What could I do? I was unsure until a friend suggested an idea. Completely forgot that it even existed but I figured it’d be perfect.

For five days, starting today, I will be accepting matchups! So, until Tuesday of next week. All matchups sent after Tuesday will sadly be scrapped from my inbox to prevent clutter. I will be answering these until they’re empty from my inbox. I’ll still be answering other requests alongside them.

Howdy Bestie @tolkien-fantasy! I hope you enjoy this matchup, I haven't written for BG3 before and it's been SO long since i've written in general so hopefully it's somewhat good! (i even included canon lines he says to Tav)

I match you up with Gale of Waterdeep!

I'm going to go off script of the whole Tav storyline

You guy's met one day in Baldur's Gate many years ago at Sorcerous Sundries, a huge and magical Library

He noticed you were struggling to reach a book on the top shelf, so he helped you out

Gale stood behind you, and grabbed the book before looking down and offering it to you with a grin

"Ah, A Primer on Mythical Beasts. An excellent choice!"

And with that single comment, the two of you clicked, forming an unbreakable bond over your mutual love of books and knowledge.

At the time, Gale lived in Waterdeep, further up north- a City much, much larger than your home in Baldur's Gate

The day you met, you spoke so proudly of his home. How beautiful and magnificent it is- and the libraries. Oh the Libraries in his city are large full of rare books and tomes.

Gale invited you to come to Waterdeep some day, so that he may show you said libraries

but alas, with the journey being long, it would not bode well with your ailments. So you declined

The day Gale had to leave Baldur's Gate was a sad one, although neither of you lost hope to keep in contact

You two sent letters each and every day, talking about anything and everything.

Gale would send you tomes regarding your current obsessions, and would always look forward to your next letter in response

One day though, the letters stopped. You kept sending letters to him in hope of a reply

Maybe he's just busy? Yeah that's right, he is Mystra's Chosen, so he's probably busy with his duties to her

But a letter never came

Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months. But you didn't lose hope and continued to send letters

Then one day he just... appeared

Gale stood right in front of you at your little house on the edge of Baldur's Gate

He stood right in front of you, disheveled, bruised, and exhausted. And yet- there was a huge happy grin on his face despite the anxiety shaking in his hands

Gale explained everything to you, not leaving out a single detail, being as honest as he can

Okay so now timeskip and finally get to the romance part lmao

If there is one thing I know for sure, is he ABSOLUTELY adores all the mortal aspects of you

from the way your hair puffs up like a Owlbears feathers

to the mud staining your clothes during outdoor adventures

Gale thinks you're drop dead gorgeous

you're so different from most people in Faerun, and he's met a lot of people and he absolutely adores it

He supports you in everything you do, constantly purchasing new tomes for your interests

new journals, pens, and materials for your artistic hobbies

good luck charms and rare crystals

And dont worry about having too much stuff, like books and material. His tower has shelves upon shelves of books and storage.

He might even use some little wizard magic to expand on his tower just for you

"Whatever you need, you have only to ask"

Gale helps you as much as he can with your pain and ailments

He's constantly researching new spells and medicines with the help of Shadowheart

And if you're up for it, he'll create potions for you to try and experiment to see if it helps

and if it does! he happily teaches you how to make it so if there is any point where he is gone and you've run out, you'd be able to make it!

On any particular day where the pain is especially bad, he's at your beck and call. To the point of having Tara stay by your side when he is unable to

"Are you alright? If you have need of me, just say the word."

I feel the need to touch on your height for a moment

In comparison to him, you're so small but not once does he mention it. He understands that it can be an insecurity

But secretly? he absolutely adores your height

The way he can comfortably hold you in his lap as he reads makes him so so happy and warm

One particular moment that really stands out, is how he dropped something in a hole, unable to reach it

But you were there! and happily grabbed it for him... atleast not without a silly comment from him before you did

"That's not a Gale-sized hole."

Or how despite your size, you're SO strong, and it never fails to make his heart flutter seeing you lift heavy items. (his str is 8.. mans is WEAK)

He constantly asks if you could carry something for him just to see you flex your muscles

One specific time, there was "danger" that appeared out of nowhere

It startled him and you came to his rescue. Taking care of it with absolute ease

"I um, once read a book that explained in some detail the effect a brush with danger has on one's desire for... other forms of stimulation.."

I wouldn't particularly say Gale is a morning person, so good luck waking up in the mornings trying to escape his grasp

He'd try holding onto you for as long as he can before you get annoyed that you need to get up

Only then, will he finally let go

Sometimes he gets up with you, but some mornings, he's too exhausted from his night owl activities that he falls right to sleep (with some struggle since you're no longer there)

Please bring him coffee or even tea to bed, waking him up with it. He would melt and get so flustered

He'd grab onto you, holding you tight and press a kiss to your cheeks

"Ah, to hold the world in the palm of one's hand"

Gale LOVES to hold long philosophical conversations with you. He uses such fancy big words and loves to hear your point of view on things that most would ignore

The two of you could stay up late for hours, simply debating on topics

Some nights it get's so intense he'd break out a paper and quill to write down each others thoughts, comparing them and create charts

Now for you chaotic gremlin habits, at first he was a big worrywart. Unsure if it would be safe to do something

but overtime, he learned to accept it, and simply join you on the fun

After everything he's been through, He fully heartedly believes to just throw oneself into something, to not worry too much about rejection or what may happen. As long as you try.

"Sounds like a recipe for disaster. But you know what? I'm learning to enjoy the taste of chaos. Count me in."

All in all, he is a very loving partner, who loves to dote on you

who loves to indulge in everything you ever do and say

Congrats on the 400 followers!!💖 I've been working up the courage to ask for a match up for my Tav haha, sfw/nsfw is all good!

My Tav is a tiefling in her mid 20s named Ace - a Mephistopheles Tiefling with short cropped copper hair and blue eyes that dart around any room she's in. Chewed nails, bad posture, permanent eye bags. She worked in Baldurs Gate in a secretarial/bookeeper role for a library and is a bard - just a more storyteller focused one than a musician/performer! Contrary to the stereotypical bard, she has crippling anxiety and zero rizz, though she tries her best to mask this.

Ace's experience with the general public meant she's been thrust into her leadership role in the group - a position she was not prepared for. Having no experience as a fighter, she is forced to learn on the go, hiding her inexperience behind a facade. Cries often in her tent when she thinks the party is asleep and blames herself for not being competent enough if a party member is hurt or something goes wrong on their journey.

As her job suggests, Ace is a massive bookworm, preferring mythology, fables etc than non fiction work. Her bardic abilities come from her storytelling ability, a skill she used to entertain children back at the library. She has a sweet tooth, and misses the treats she bought daily on her way to work. In addition, she loves animals (Scratch and the cub are doted on), boardgames, writing and collecting soft toys.

First of all sorry for being so late, i got sick and getting back at my routine after getting better was a challenge xD.. anyways i think Ace, as the rizzless queen, would pair well with our favourite rizzless king, Astarion. Let's be honest here, our lovely vampire does his best, but sometimes the rizz doesnt rizz as it should.. we might say it rizzn't.

Anyways after my small comedic corner, talking about the rizzlessness (istg someone should stop me), i think that's exactlt how the two end up together.

Ace reads through Astarion's acting as soon as they get closer, she can tell his flirting skills are just a result of years of trial and error- and a lot of reused lines, and not only because, in her way, she puts up a mask to hide her anxiety. She can tell cause once he opens up about his life under Cazador, she can spot those moments where his façade cracks.

Astarion falls for the same exact reason why Ace is skeptic in the beginning: the cracks through the façade. There's only so much a good storytelling can hide, and despite her proficiency he falls for the way she stumbles ever so slightly on her words, or how she reuses that same cheeky line he has used as well, before he knows he even allows his mask to drop more often, revealing more and more of his actual personality, and that's when Ace fully ends up trusting him.

I'm 21 and I work in an antique shop restoring furniture. I suffer from BPD which unfortunately makes me a difficult one, but when I love I love with my entire heart.

I love crocheting, sewing and art in general. I spend my free time listening to music and crocheting. I'm very creative and that's my outlet.

I'm extremely sensitive and cry easily, I'm very romantic and love doing things for people. My love languages are physical touch, acts of service and gift giving, especially handmade ones. I'm super affectionate as well.

Gale. Like, let me tell you, this man will worship you but it gets better:

Breakfast dates. You wake up and he's already up and working on breakfast. You're of course allowed to help, but don't be surprised if he's already finished everything by the time you've woken up.

He plans dates into the city. If you're in a new place, be prepared to visit every magical shop available, but don't fret. They got spellbook and scrolls and artifacts galore. So maybe you can find something for yourself. But be ready to drag him out because he's somehow made a fool of himself. Usually it's him trying to correct incorrect information the shop might have.

When he realizes the height difference, be prepared for him to be a bit playful about it. He tends to play with your hair but also he will fall asleep on you while reading.

Congratulations on the 500! Can I get a Baldur's Gate 3 Matchup? My name is Sean and I'm 5'3", Non-binary Bisexual. At times I get anxious or spooked rather easily so you have to be patient with me but once you're past that, you're my favorite person. I like to stargaze, write, and collect things such as dice. I dislike having to be forced into public situations that I don't feel comfortable with, being alone for too long, and loud noises. While I'm not the greatest with the subject, I always try to comfort those who are hurting and put their needs before myself.

It seems counterintuitive for someone jumpy and anxiety-riddled to receive Orin. Though, that’s precisely why she’d adore you. The changeling is all about torment of the mind and flesh. It starts off with her simply following and scaring you for a sadistic pleasure. A predator playing with it’s food before it’s consumed by the jaws of the beast. Though, as time went on, she found herself enamored by the qualities of yourself. Curse it, truly. Once you’ve acquired her heart- she’s fiercely protective. No one can touch you but herself.

Your companions trailed behind you as you traded with a store-clerk. The way their eyes lingered on you was odd but you chalked it up to them admiring you. It’d happened a few times before and surely will repeat again. Too many people in the city for a couple to not find you attractive. As you placed a pouch of gold to pay for your transaction- they pushed it back. Your brows furrowed in confusion. “For a pretty toy like you, it’s on the house.” Pretty toy? That’s what Orin calls you. As recognition and confusion stir in your gaze the clerk begins to giggle manically. Limbs cracking and body shifting grotesquely til the pale woman stood before you. You froze, disappointed you hadn’t noticed sooner and concerned about the publicity of you two. Orin continues to giggle as she reaches out and cups your jaw. “Awe, no need to fret my pet. I have eyes all over to ensure your safety. Why have a toy if I cannot play with it? You are so amusing to me.” She tuts at you as you shake off the last of her nerve. Admittedly blushing a tad from her touch. The nature of your relationship was odd but it was strangely comforting to know she’d never let anything bad happen to you. Perhaps you could help change her for the better? The fact she hadn’t sacrificed you and seems to commit herself to you shows she is capable of depth. You smile at her wearily. “As much as it’s a pleasant surprise to see you my day has drawn long. I apologize for being so on edge.” Orin laughs once more before slinking from behind the counter. “Danger lurks every corner. It is good to stay on guard.” She trails her nails down your neck and a faint scratch appears in the wake. With one more touch of your face- she seems to disappear. You’re left with a bubbling in your chest and your companions sat dumbfounded.
