Being a closeted trans masc makes me what I call “a visble gay” (gay as an umbrella term) people who aren’t queer themselves it passes right over their heads, but to other queers I stick out like a sore thumb. and I love this because I’ve had so many people just come out to me. Examples: My teammate just like dropped it to me during our run that she was with her girlfriend that day, nobody else knows this. A girl at fsy told me about how the girl she tried to kiss snitched on her to the bishop and she’s been shoved back into the closet since. The guy at the mormon dance who came out to me as bi after I asked him to dance. Two younger girls at girls camp that was walking with me told me about their crushes on some other girls and how dumb their families are for not knowing their lesbians. One of my guy friends who everyone been saying is gay but he has dismissed for years was just hanging out with me and told me that he started texting a guy from another school. Like being a visible gay is the best thing in the world, I single handley provide a safe space that no one has given me before. Every time it happens It just makes my day, hell it makes my week. Being around cishets all the time is just boring. we should’ve to taken over the world already, we would make it nicer.

A few more thoughts on the latest stunt.

If Taylor so chooses, this can be retconned as a cheek kiss between friends.

I think we have to accept that this isn’t employer-employee; she and Joe by this point are legitimately friends, Joe understands the deal, and is doing Taylor the favor of seeing it through to the end.

I think it’s pretty fair to say that she is still low-key out as queer, but wants to present as a bi woman in a straight relationship. It’s not much, but it’s legit enough, and still a net benefit for bi visibility. Maybe it’s my imagination, but it seems like biphobic backlash has been on the rise lately, especially against those in het relationships. We need this, even if she’s fudging it.

We don’t know what her current mental health state is, but there’s a good possibility that it’s a bit on the fragile side. It’s been a wild couple of years. She might legitimately be stressing out and this is her way of getting everything back under control, regardless of PR.

Karlie still isn’t free from the Kushner situation.

I’m going to say this: We Need To Calm Down. If she wants to present as a bi woman in a relationship with a man, which in this show-not-tell era of coming out seems to be what she’s saying, it doesn’t contradict most of the signs she’s dropped, apart from the Koincidences. Since we now know that bisexuality is extremely common, it’s good enough for now. It may be a long time, if ever, before we see Lesbian Taylor, but Nonspecifically Queer Taylor is a fait accompli.

This book gave me so many happy fuzzy feelings, then at time took those happy fuzzy feelings outback and beat the crap out of them but in the end served them back to me in cute little bandages and smiling faces.

This books reminds me of what it's like to be queer in high school and have a silent crush on someone I could never have. Tanner's way of going about his crush is so relatable it made me cringe and poject my own personal embarrassment on him. When I finished I literally hugged the book to my chest and couldn't stop saying "wow!" It made me laugh and cry both sad and happy tears. This book easily makes my list of top 5 favorite books!

Did you know March is Bisexual Health Awareness month? I have a program designed to help teach healthcare providers how to address the specific needs of the bi+ community and wrote a chapter titled "Without Wincing or Clenching: Bisexual People's Experiences With Health Providers" in Bodies and Barriers: Queer Activists on Health, which was released just last month.

If you have a gold star lesbian then you have a tried and true bisexual. If you havent had sex with more than one gender and identify as bisexual then just just drop the tried and say youre a true bisexual. No less valid but also equally as cool, im tired of being made to feel dirty for living the definition of bisexuality.
