[ i actually do!! i'll admit I'm not much of a ship person here, especially since they're 11-13 year olds, but i'm still open to the idea to create some small ships in it!

- i will say i honestly pair nate with a lot of people (perks of being a multi-shipper), but nate/daphne is my otp. i do hc nate's bisexual as well, so there's that.

- i've seen francis/teddy a few times, and it's not that bad, so i sort of ship that too. i also really like main trio polycule, it's super cute.

- gina/dee dee (i like it).

- i dont really ship randy with anyone in particular but i think he would kiss a man.

- artur/jenny (since it's canon).

- mrs. godfrey and ms. clarkie as a ship would be fun too! i love women yuri if you couldn't tell.

- any canon ships that are in the strip, maybe the show too but idk much abt it.

- i love nate/daphne the most though it makes me sob. like HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY NATE GETS SO HAPPY AND FLUSTERED AROUND HER WHEN SHE COMPLIMENTS HIM?? they are such a heterosexual relationship but they are not straight. does this make sense. like there's something fruity going on here. atp just attack me cause the only straight ships I have are the canon ones ]

So I decided to reread a Big Nate book (been on a nostalgia trip recently, if u couldnt tell) and before I'd even started reading I'd created an AU.

So if anyone's interested I'd like to present Teddy as Ladybug and Francis as Chat Noir.

Yep. Teddy gets the kwami of creation while Francis gets the kwami of destruction.

Is this a mistake? Who knows! Not even me because this idea is spines and ribs at this point!

Nate of course doesn't know for a while, but when he finds out of COURSE he wants a miraculous like have you SEEN that kid? Anyway he gets his hands on the Peacock eventually. And it's just as bad as it sounds! :D

Dont really have many other ideas at this point but I wanted to share it with any Big Nate fanartists who might be looking for inspo. I'm already more invested in the trio than any character in Miraculous and knowing them the clash between personalities and powers will be entertaining at least.

Also Nate high key thinks he'd be the better holder of both creation and destruction and that makes him the PERFECT Akuma target. I still don't know who'd be Hawkmoth but Gina being Queen Bee is on the edge of the table.

Thats about all for now. I doubt this will get any traction (i dont even know if rhe BN fandom is active lol) so if nothing else... I wrote it down for me. So I could come back to it sometime when I felt more confident.

BTS from Samba's baking class

Samba talked about a lot of cut scenes from ofmd s2 during his baking class today!!

First and foremost, the original concept for Calypso's birthday was for it to be Lucius and Pete's wedding crashed by Ned Low. Roach and Wee John were going to play matchmaker to get Ed and Stede to hook up because there was too much sexual tension on the ship. Ed and Stede WERE going to dance. Roach is a huge Ned Low fan and there's a cut scene where he says this to Ned and in return Ned gives him a little extra torture as a reward. Con was originally going to sing 'At Last' by Etta James

The thumb war was improvised, as well as Con's 'rude' in ep5, and the sandwich throw that hit Lucius was planned between Samba, Rhys, and Taika but no one else knew so that's why you can see Nate laughing in the background

There was a cut scene (or multiple) where Buttons kept trying to go feral and escape to the sea in ep1, this is why he has a rope tied around his waist

There was also a scene in ep 1 where they are first looking at their money jar and everyone pitches in what they were able to scrounge up or steal, and they imagine what their 'dream ship' would be like - Pete dreams of a ship where Lucius is alive, Roach dreams of a ship with a big kitchen

There was a cut scene that confirmed the polycule, with Olu, Archie, and Jim all coming out of the bedroom together wearing just boxers

The post-credit scene with Roach and Fang was going to be longer, and end with them drinking wine at Spanish Jackie's prior to the bar fight

Overall, a lot of Jim & Olu scenes were cut, and Ed & Stede material from ep 6 was shifted around and put in eps 7/8.
