Ive got so many idea for the nuzzling thing now man cause dude imagine like knuckles, Amy and shadow doing it like theres so many scenarios i just love the idea of them being affectionate.

Like dude imagine after an intense fight knuckles nuzzling tails back to get his fur to stop being puffed up or Amy doing it while she teaches him to cook to show that he’s doing a good job or even shadow doing it to calm himself down cause the idea of tails feeling safe ‘secretly’ makes him feel better

Cause imagine this little fox kit who’s usually says he dosen’t need physical affection because he knows the others feel guilty about not properly being able to give it, finally receiving it because foxes main love language is doing stuff like nuzzling and cuddling and stuff so imagine him rarely getting it only to suddenly be indulged

sonic going to them and explaining that tails wants to snuggle and headbutt them but he doesn't and won't ask to do it because he's shy and nervous and knows their tense and would feel bad asking them to calm down just so he could nuzzle them so they need to reverse the roles and they can't make a big deal outta it cause it'll scare him away

knuckles does it and scares the shit out of him because he's already on edge from the fight and he wasn't expecting a nuzzle but he still settles down anyone because it's touch and he loves touch but he's confused?? then knuckles gives him a quick pat and goes on about his day

tails does amy the favor of getting all the ingredients and utensils needed for whatever treat their baking so she doesn't have to, and so she gives him a quick thank you eskimo kiss and goes about baking. tails just kinda zones out for a minute. it's not unlike amy to be touchy, but her, knuckles, and sonic?? in his love language??? he's confused

and then shadow comes up after another fight. he looks as stoic and broody as normal but there's something in his body stance and within his eyes that tells tails he was a little scared of something. but it disappears when he sees the fox, and he returns to his normal body language. but then he walks up and butts his head against tails' for a few seconds, nuzzles it super quickly then leaves.

and while he loves the affection so so much ALL of them doing it in his love language is suspicious. but he doesn't want to say anything because he doesn't want them to stop but he also doesn't want them to think they have to do that,,,

Tim's parents send home an artifact that is said to able to grant wishes! While being curious about it Tim messes with the artifact and when he 'solves' it, according to legend one must solve it to get a wish, he wishes he wasn't alone anymore.

The object glows bright and as he shields his eyes he can hear.

'So you have wished it, so it shall be!'

He gets his wish in the form of a recently reincarnated ghost!King (who entered the DC world for a reincarnated vaycay... he should had known something was going to happen because CW was encouraging the break) Danny whose just a baby/toddler right now.

Basically, big brother Tim and baby Danny adventures in Gotham after that.

imagine Tails instantly stopping Sonic or basically anyone from brushing his fur after that he feels too guilty knowing that if they ever found out that it was the only thing taking his sadness away then they would all instantly start putting in the effort brush his fur at least once or twice a day

and of course, since he's now insisting on being the one to brush himself even when he's asked it just makes the loneliness and sadness so much more intense. it gets to the point that if Sonic asks he just lies and says he's done it already

but since he touch starved it gets to the point that brushing his own fur starts to feel to overwhelming so he just stops doing it and it gets to the point that his fur is so matted that everyone can notice.

they let him do it alone with no questions because they assume it's just soemthing he wants to do by himself. they assume it's one of those things he just wants to have done his way, and that's fine

but then they noticed his fur is really tangled... maybe sonic tries to muse his bangs but his fingers get caught on tangles when he pulls away,,

maybe knuckles gives him a small pat on the back and he can feel all the tangles and small matts that have built up

maybe amy tries to comb her fingers through his tails but they snag and pull so much she stops so she doesn't accidentally hurt him

maybe shadow gives him a quick pat to tell him he did a good job but it's so matted he ends up just patting a club of fur rather than the kid's head

and now they're all concerned.. because tails said he wanted to do it himself, but he's not. is it because he can't reach some areas?? is he getting too caught up in his work to remember???

so maybe one day they sit him down and ask about it. they ask why his fur is so matted because there's no way that's comfortable

he tries to make excuses but each one falls flat on his face so maybe he has to tell them about how sad and lonely he is over something as stupid as being brushed.

maybe he hides away to avoid telling them that them not grooming him genuinely makes him sad because that's pathetic. it shouldn't make him sad or lonely. it's just brushing, it's something everyone does it shouldn't be so hard and depressing
