‘Comprador’ refers to an agent of a large multinational corporation whose typical job responsibility is taking a small underdeveloped nation and turning it into a vending machine for a natural resource - oil, coffee, coal, minerals - then getting that nation so dependent on selling those raw materials to that company that they effectively control it.
Unrelatedly, the Global Logistics Network was the single largest anything of 2069.
They weren’t a monopoly, no, no, no. They were… you see, the crowded and fragile system of intercontinental shipping was simply too important to be left in the hands of any single nation. You all saw what happened when the Brits monopolized it, and when the US monopolized it after them. You’ve seen how nations owning major canals turns them into a hive of corruption. Shipping belongs to the world, which means it belongs to the GLN.
They were headquartered in Qingdao, a major city in the Shandong province of China. Don’t be fooled, China fumbled the past few decades as much as everyone else, but every institution needs a head, and every head needs a headquarters, and the headquarters of the Global Logistics Network were located in Qingdao. The complex of skyscrapers that comprised GLNHQ was large and populous enough to form its own city-state, a closed loop of offices, gyms, fabricators, dormitories, labs, shops, copackers, cafeterias, and warehouses. You could spend your whole life there without ever setting foot on the earth itself. Many did.
Such was the Global Logistics Network. Like capitalism rising centuries ago from the sclerotic and shambling remnants of feudalism, the GLN rose from the old ways of hyper-financialized over-leveraged capitalism to create something new, something so new it didn’t even have a name yet. Much like the transition from feudalism to capitalism, things were better overall, but good lord, what a low bar to clear.
Towering above it all at the top floor of the central skyscraper sat Meng “Harold” Jianli, sole co-founder of the GLN. One might wonder how someone could be a ‘sole co-founder,’ and the answer was that the GLN was so powerful and omnipresent that its leader could have called himself a living god for all the power that sat upon his person. He certainly had more power than those who had historically claimed the title of living god.
But Meng “Harold” Jianli was no god, living or otherwise. Despite the vast power seated upon his person, or perhaps because of it,he looked rather disheveled, with a jowly face like splotchy old parchment, a sagging belly, and a crudely functional flat-top of black hair. His suit was slack and rumpled - his weight had a tendency to fluctuate wildly thanks to the stress.
It was stressful, being in charge. Past a certain point, you don’t really get more powerful, you just have more people to babysit and more fires to put out. He had to keep an eye on Novo Karo Bioresearch, or they’d be so excited to show off their new research that they’d start doing eugenics. He had to keep an eye on Vae Victis Engineering, or they’d get so excited testing out their new tech that they’d start a world war. And now, with his hands steepled and his brow furrowed, he had to keep an eye on the vtuber that the American League had elected president.
He stared at Sunny Roosevelt. Sunny smiled back and gave him a little wave.
“I am willing to work with you, miss Roosevelt. The GLN is willing to work with just about anyone, it’s one of our biggest strengths.” He shifted effortlessly between ‘I’ and ‘we,’ treating the two as synonyms. “The issue is, we are still trying to figure out what your administration actually intends to do.”
“Hmm.” Sunny put a finger to her chin, pursed her lips, and looked upward. An ellipsis appeared over her head. “You got a copy of my campaign objectives, right?”
“Are you referring to this?” He held up a single sheet of paper, on which was written ‘make anime real’ in 48-point font and nothing else.
“Yep!”
“And you think this qualifies as a roadmap for your presidency.”
“Personally, I think it’s quite ambitious.”
Harold puttered his lips. “Miss Roosevelt-”
“Please, call me ‘mommy.’”
“Miss Roosevelt, I understand that you are standing on rather shaky ground. The National Board of Directors is being dragged away from the provisional US government days,” he said, which neglected to mention how half of the National Board of Directors were former GLN big names, “and the new state congress acts more like a rehab clinic for celebrity podcasters than a governing body,” he said, which stood just fine without caveats.
“I understand,” Sunny said, nodding and still smiling, “I’m a bimbo who’s in way over her head, so you’re going to unveil the GLN’s big five year plan and tell me to follow it like a good little girl.”
Harold was already in the process of lifting a hefty unlabeled binder, intending to thump it dramatically atop his desk, but the accuracy of Sunny’s comment left him slightly deflated. “I prefer to think of it as an advisory-”
“And then I’ll kiss up to you during our conversations,” Sunny continued, “but stall and drag my feet when it comes to actually implementing anything, and you’ll say,” she loosened her face and dropped her voice, “dammit Sunny, are you trying to play me for a fool?”
“I don’t sound like that. I don’t sound like Richard Nixon,” Harold protested, sounding kind of like Richard Nixon.
“And then I’ll say, it’s not me, it’s the state governors, they just refuse to cooperate. The new congress is one big old boy’s club. Even the Board of Directors is demanding overly-detailed descriptions of everything before they’ll sign off on it, it’s malicious compliance!” Sunny hung her head and threw her hands, wailing, “you set me up to fail, Harold. You set me up to fail, you rat bastard!”
“Are you done?”
Sunny straightened back up. There was that smile again. “Yep. That was fun.”
“In any case, while I understand you are currently something of a figurehead, even figureheads cannot afford to do nothing. Not when a third of the country is still lacking even the barest measures of centralized government.”
“What, you mean the Midwest Autonomous Zone?” A little question mark appeared over Sunny's head. “I mean, yeah, but it’s not like that started with the fall of the old US. Missouri was a dump long before the thirties.”
“Be that as it may-”
“That’s the 2030s, because we’re in the future.”
“Miss Roosevelt.”
“Please, call m-”
“No. Miss Roosevelt, why did you become president if you are so averse to actually presiding?”
Sunny shrugged and let out a huffy little sigh. “Look, most people weren’t exactly begging to have America back. Not even Americans. They don’t want someone with a bold, inspirational vision. Bold, inspirational visions are what start world wars, for George’s sake. I, for one, believe that bench-warming is not just a good idea but a moral imperative.”
“George’s sake?” Harold repeated.
“Saint George Washington. Oh, right, America’s got a brand new religion now, it’s called Founderism. We took the whole Founding Father worship thing and made it an official heresy. Also, Jesus was a small business owner.”
Harold grimaced and considered leaving the former USA to the wolves for a few more decades.

[CN] MLQC Lucien’s Preaching Date translation + Subbed Video
⚠️ SPOILER ALERT!! ⚠️
This post contains a detailed spoiler for a date that has not been released in EN yet! Feel free to notify me if there are any mistakes in the translation~

Lucien casually closes his eyes and raises the gun, pulling the trigger without care.
Bang-!
The barrel swiftly twists, and a bloody "firework" explodes on the man's finger.
Lucien's expression remains indifferent, but crimson bloodshot vessels have already filled the bottom of his eyes.
Like a calm sea surface concealing a dark vortex that has already surged, ready to swallow everything at any moment.
Everything- including himself.
Translation under the cut

[Part 1]
The summer is full of sunshine in Europe, yet the temperatures are rather gentle like late spring.
I lift up my phone and capture a snapshot of the emerald-green scenery under the radiant sunlight.
MC: Lucien, what do you think of this photo I took?
Beside me, Lucien slightly leans forward. His other hand wraps around my waist.
Lucien: The composition is novel and the theme is clear, but it lacks a finishing touch.
MC: Huh? What do you mean?
As he speaks, he hands his phone to me, and the screen displays a photo — with the same emerald green tones, but this time with the addition of my silhouette in the background.
The thought of me taking a picture of the trees while Lucien takes a picture of me at the same time and space makes me unable to suppress my laughter.
MC: Professor Lucien always seems to play the role of the “watchful observer”* behind the scenes, doesn’t he?~
(T/N: 黄雀在后 (Lit. the oriole behind) is from a complex idiom 螳螂捕蝉,黄雀在后 (lit. The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind) which generally means to pursue a narrow gain while neglecting a greater danger. You can say that Lucien is the greater danger and it’s an important foreshadowing :D)
Lucien: Is that so? I haven’t thought that much about it though.
Lucien: In my judgment, the best scenery is only found where you are.
I raise the corners of my lips and hook my hand around his neck under the shade of the trees.
MC: Well, I admit you’re more meticulous~ But are you sure you want to accompany me sightseeing?
MC: You have to attend the academic exhibition tomorrow. Shouldn’t you go back to the hotel and prepare for it?
Recently, there have been groundbreaking advancements in the research of neurodegenerative diseases at the Ultima Bioresearch Center.
To make further progress, Ultima Bioresearch Center organized its researchers to participate in the latest academic exhibition in Europe to present the project research to major medical companies.
If the collaboration between the two parties is successful, they will jointly develop lower-cost medications to save more patients.
Lucien smiles and lifts the palm of his hand to cradle the back of my head, imprinting a kiss on my forehead.
Lucien: Mm, can’t be more sure.
Lucien: The reason I came a day early is to bask in the sun and take a walk with you in advance.
Lucien: Moreover, this city holds numerous festive gatherings during its lively times, and I’m really looking forward to this time of leisure and exploration with you.
MC: Alright then, I can enjoy myself without worry.
MC: However, if there’s any assistance you need from me at the exhibition tomorrow, as a “non-staff personel,” I’ll be there to support you!
After saying that, I grab his hand and walk towards a bustling crowd ahead.
Apart from the fantastical carousel and teacup-like Ferris wheel, there are also shooting stalls, ring-toss games, claw machines, and other stalls all around, creating a lively atmosphere.
Lucien: Which one would you like to play first?
MC: Hmm... It seems like there are long queues for all of them.
Lucien looks around and then takes my hand, leading me toward a shooting stall filled with plush toys.
Lucien: Since that’s the case, let’s go to the place with prizes first.
Lucien: If we arrive late, I might see a “disappointed” little lady.
[Part 2]
That night, I fell into a deep slumber, holding tightly onto the small fox plushie that Lucien had won for me.
After a restful sleep, I wake up refreshed the next day and neatly organize the materials at the booth.
MC: It’s starting in ten minutes.
I adjust the name tag on my uniform, ensuring that the synchronous translation device in my ear is functioning properly. Then, I wave at Lucien before heading off.
MC: Today, I’ll be your little assistant, Professor Lucien. Feel free to give me any instructions~
Lucien: Then I’d like to offer a token of appreciation before we begin as a small thanks.
He smiles and takes my hand, walking towards the nearby railing.
The exhibition is located in an open-air atrium of a luxurious hotel, surrounded by lush greenery. With a gentle inhale, the air is filled with a delightful fragrance.
To my surprise, I discover that on the ground floor of the hotel, there is also a festive gathering with various stalls in the courtyard.
MC: Haha, I didn’t expect the organizers to be so thoughtful.
MC: They even consider that even the greatest and most rigorous scientists need to relax and unwind their minds from time to time~
Colorful tents adorn the area, and among them stands a person-sized rabbit plush toy inside a claw machine.
It raises its furry paw, seemingly beckoning to those who are destined to take it home.
Lucien: MC, don’t you think it would be a perfect match with the little fox from last night?
He seems to have noticed the same thing as me, and his voice gently resonates with a joyful tone.
MC: Yes, it’s indeed a perfect companion!
MC: I wonder if it will still be here waiting for us once we’re done with our busy schedule.
As I speak, I glance around, searching for any potential “competitors.”
However, since it’s an event within the hotel, aside from the staff, only a few people are sitting on a swing in one corner.
They are wearing casual plaid shirts and don’t have any name tags, so they must be hotel guests.
However, it seems like they are not very interested in the gathering as they keep their heads down, engrossed in their phones.
Lucien: It seems that for now, there won’t be anyone to compete with us for that adorable little rabbit.
With a subtle sense of delight, I tidy up his collar once again.
MC: Professor Lucien, shall we start working? We can bring it home with us once we’re finished~
Since it is a highly selective exhibition, the attendees here are representatives from authoritative companies in the medical industry.
In addition, with the format of poster presentations, Lucien and other researchers take turns being on duty.
One group is responsible for providing explanations to the attending representatives, while the other group can explore and learn from other booths.
Although I may not have expertise in the relevant field, I do my best to assist by delivering materials and providing guidance.
After two busy hours, the visiting group of researchers returns with smiles on their faces.
Researcher A: Thank you for your hard work. Now it’s our turn to take over and provide explanations.
Researcher B: The booths this time are all impressive. I believe you will gain a lot from exploring them.
Lucien: Alright, shall we go then?
Lucien’s fingertips naturally intertwine with mine through the gaps between our fingers. However, he doesn’t stop at any booth but leads me directly to the entrance on the ground floor.
MC: Huh? Aren’t you going to explore the booths?
He glances at the rabbit still inside the claw machine, and there is a slight relaxation in his expression.
Lucien: Of course, we’ll explore them, but we have two hours, remember?
Lucien: If all goes well, within ten minutes, I should be able to have you holding the rabbit in your arms.
MC: Professor Lucien is quite confident, huh~
Lucien: (chuckles) In my plan, having it as our companion will ensure that we have a good mood throughout the entire day.
As he speaks, he takes out a stack of bills and exchanges them for a basket of coins at the counter. He then walks over to the claw machine.
Because the rabbit plush toy is quite large, the claw machine is filled with balls of different colors. The goal is to grab the only pink ball, and then exchange it with the staff for the rabbit plush toy.
MC: Are you so confident? Those claw machines can be rigged, you know!
Lucien: As long as I practice a few times and observe the claw’s gripping strength, speed, and inertia when it shakes...
Lucien: Then we can bring it home.
The claw slowly descends after Lucien presses the button, scratching the smooth surface of the ball but coming back empty-handed.
He doesn’t feel discouraged. A sharp gleam appears in his narrow eyes as if he is quickly calculating something.
As time passes, with only two game coins remaining, Lucien calmly inserts them into the machine.
Lucien: MC, if I succeed on the last attempt, can I get some rewards?
I certainly know what he’s hinting at. I tiptoe and give him a kiss.
MC: Of course you can.
MC: However, based on my understanding of you, you can totally redeem the reward in advance!
[Part 3]
MC: Wow, this rabbit is even softer than I imagined.
Lucien: (chuckles) It’s very cute indeed. Can you lend it to me for now and place it at our booth as a mascot?
Lucien: Who knows, it might attract more company representatives to come over.
MC: Um! After we place it, then I’ll accompany you to visit other booths...
As I speak, I suddenly feel a buzzing sensation in my head, as if a layer of white mist is enveloping me. My vision becomes blurry, sometimes appearing closer and sometimes farther away.
Lucien....
Slowly turning my head, I notice that Lucien’s figure has become hazy, and the surrounding noise is drowned out by a buzzing sound.
He seems to have noticed that something is wrong with me as well, and he anxiously wraps his arm around my waist.
Lucien: MC.
I can’t hear anything.
I can only see his mouth opening and closing as if he’s calling out my name, but when I try to reach out and hold him, my hands are unresponsive and out of control.
It feels like an unknown force is pulling at my body, and I am aware that I have opened my mouth, uttering unexpected English words.
But in the next second, the translation earpiece automatically recognizes my voice and converts it into a cold, electronic sound—
‘MC’: “Hey, Professors, how can you two just casually leave the exhibition like that?”
What is happening?
No matter how much I try to wave my hands or shout out loud, it’s of no use.
It feels like my consciousness is being drawn into a vessel, and no matter how much my brain sends commands, my body refuses to obey my instructions.
Just as I try to seek help from Lucien, my legs suddenly start running forward, and then I leap up, using the railing in front of me for support, momentarily soaring into the air.
I sense a hint of pain as the ligaments in my thighs tear instantly, but in the next second, my body jumps over the railing.
Soon, the swing that I saw in the morning comes into view in my line of sight, and my hands immediately reach out from the bushes, holding a handgun.
After completing all the actions seamlessly, a cold muzzle is pressed against my temple.
Bang-!
My mind goes blank for a brief moment.
The expected pain and agony do not arrive as anticipated. In my line of sight, birds startle and flap their wings towards the sky, while the people around me scream and scatter in all directions.
In the chaos, several armed men drive the people who couldn’t escape into the tents, and sobs can be heard from inside.
Lucien: This evolver, what do you plan to do?
I feel the corners of my mouth twitch, and I keep the gun barrel pressed against my temple. I turn around and look at Lucien, whose face has turned icy.
His face is particularly grim, and the temperature around us seems to drop several degrees under the scorching sun.
But “I” simply give a shake to the bunny ears in my hand and let out a scoffing laugh.
‘MC’: “Professor, don’t be nervous. I’m just here to get the job done. If possible, I don’t want anyone to die here either.”
‘MC’: “So, before I explain my intentions, how about we quietly return to the venue?”
Lucien doesn’t take a step forward, and his narrow eyes become slightly cold.
Lucien: You have already stirred up trouble.
Lucien: I’m afraid that there won't be a way to calm things down peacefully.
As “I” speak, I tried countless times to escape from the white fog, but each attempt ends in failure.
Just as I am trying to calm down and think, “I” suddenly releases the grip on the gun and casually flips it around twice.
‘MC’: “Fine, let’s save some time then.”
‘MC’: “Although I’m not a professional, I do know that all of you have excellent research achievements. It’s just that they’re a bit too good.”
‘MC’: “If we continue to lower drug prices, there will always be people who are unhappy.”
‘MC’: “So, on behalf of my boss, I want to have a chat with all of you, discuss some business, and ensure that everyone presents has an opportunity to make money.”
The cold translation plays through the earphones, gradually making me realize that a terrorist attack is being launched against the exhibition.
However, he seems unfamiliar with Lucien, and the fact that I’m the one being "held hostage" is more like a “random stroke of luck.”
With that in mind, I instinctively nodded toward Lucien, despite being out of control.
‘MC’: “Alright, let’s go back to the venue with us. This way, I will release this lady.”
Lucien: I understand your intentions now.
Lucien: But you've taken the wrong person hostage. She is not a research team here.
Lucien: And compared to you, the person standing in front of you seems to pose an even greater threat.
My lips twitch again, but the bristling hairs on my body told me that there is some surging emotion building up.
However, the person controlling my body seems oblivious to this subtle change, even arrogantly crossing their arms.
‘MC’: “Professor, actually, my luck is not bad. Even if I’ve taken the wrong person hostage, she is still the most important one among these people.”
‘MC’: “Because you care about her a great deal, don’t you?”
‘MC’: “If you don’t believe me, take a look at this...”
The rabbit in my hand slips away and falls in front of my shoe.
I lift my hand and press it forcefully onto a sharp fence behind me, leaving a trail of blood.
A piercing pain spreads from my fingertips to my whole body, and my vision becomes blurred by involuntary tears.
However, the person controlling me seems to be devoid of shared pain, continuing to press down without any concern—
An instant frost envelops my fingertips, followed by my joints as they freeze, leaving my limbs completely immobilized in place.
Bang- Bang!
“I” follow the sound and look, only to see the people who were holding the gun also frozen on the ground, their eyes filled with fear clearly reflected through the ice crystals.
??: AHH-!
The people being held hostage immediately scream and flee from the tent, leaving only “me” and Lucien standing in place.
Lucien: Sorry.
Lucien: It might be a bit cold, but it'll be fine soon.
Lucien walks towards me step by step, and wherever he goes, thin ice forms in his steps.
I’m unconsciously trembling from the chilling air, and he covers the back of my hand with an even colder palm.
In just an instant, the gun in my hand is taken away by him.
[Part 4]
‘MC’: "If you're willing to do it, go ahead and shoot. After all, she'll be the only one getting hurt."
Lucien: I see you still haven't figured out the situation.
He shows no emotions on his face, the tightly pressed corners of his mouth sharp as a blade.
Lucien: The issue I'm facing has never been about making choices.
Lucien: Because even if you were to gamble with your life, your life is not worthy enough to do so.
Several sharp ice shards suddenly appear with us at the center, slanting downward and refracting a cold gleam of light.
Lucien: I know where you are.
Lucien: I also know what your fate will be.
At this moment, I feel my body stiffen, as if it's a reaction triggered by that Evolver.
‘MC’: “You-!”
All the ice shards pierce through, resoundingly embedding into the ground, except for one spot where a different sound emerges from the thicket of trees—
—like a muffled sound that blends together the piercing of flesh and bone.
As my body trembles uncontrollably, a body pierced by ice shards in each limb falls from among the trees.
Lying on the ground is a young man who appears to be around thirty years old, dressed in a plaid shirt...
In an instant, I recall that he seems to be the person who was sitting on the swing earlier in the morning!
So, it turns out they had already infiltrated early in the morning.
‘MC’: “....”
The person controlling my body seems to be overwhelmed with fear, only able to produce hoarse gasps.
Lucien takes oppressive steps forward, picking up the rabbit plush toy and the scattered game coins that fell to the ground.
Seeing my blood on them, a cold gleam flashes through Lucien's typically calm eyes, causing terrifying cracks to appear in the surrounding frost.
After a moment of silence, he sits on the nearby bench, quietly embracing the plush and holding it as if it were a lifeline.
Lucien: Sir, you made my rabbit dirty.
Lucien casually closes his eyes and raises the gun, pulling the trigger without care.
Bang-!
Lucien: However, that's not the only mistake you've made.
Lucien: But now you still have the opportunity to make the final judgment.
Bang- Bang!
But Lucien seems uninterested in receiving a response, immediately firing several shots at the man’s various limbs.
The next moment, I feel my vision blur once again, but this time it seems like control over my body has returned.
I make a few deliberate movements with my fingers, and the sensations transmitted through the nerve endings make me realize that the person controlling me seems to have vanished from my body.
However, the peculiar sense of detachment amplifies within my body, and I can't prevent myself from losing strength and falling to the ground—
A strong hand scoops me up and embraces me.
Lucien: MC, it's all right now.
Lucien: It’s all right now…
It’s as if he said the last sentence to reassure himself, with barely detectable tremors in his soft voice.
MC: Lucien...
The lingering fear makes me instinctively cling to him, as if trying to absorb his warmth, burying it deep within my chest.
And he is holding me tightly, his large palm gently stroking me over and over again.
Lucien: Don't be afraid, I'm here.
MC: I... I can hear and see everything, but I just can't control myself...
Lucien: (chuckles softly) MC, do you need to confirm it again?
Lucien is holding my hand to his cheek, a cool and soft touch comes from his fingertips.
My fingertips tremble slightly, then slowly glide across his cheek, his nose, and the edge of his lips.
I want to imprint these ordinary touches deep into the bottom of my heart.
Lucien: Even though it feels a bit ticklish, you can take as much time as you need to be sure.
Lucien: I'll be here for you until you're fully at ease.
Lucien lowers his head and gently kisses my lips. His movement is light and slow as if he wants me to feel him as much as possible.
MC: Lucien....
I grip his lapel with a bit of force, feeling the tension of the fabric under my fingertips, gradually soothing my unease and palpitations.
Everything that just happened seems to be just a nightmare.
After deepening the last kiss, he gently sets me down, crouches, and takes hold of my knee, slowly rubbing it.
Lucien: Are you still cold?
Seeing the apology in his eyes, I shake my head, preparing to say something, when a siren suddenly rings out from the distance.
I stare blankly at the man who's fallen unconscious on the ground, the pool of blood beneath him is a shocking sight.
Lucien: He’s fine for now.
Lucien: But I need to take you to get bandaged up first.
He massages my knee again, his gaze fixed intensely on the coagulated blood at my fingertips.
Even though it's just a minor scrape, I don't want him to worry any further, so I obediently nod.
MC: There seems to be a medical station in the venue, so by the time the police arrive, we can still manage to cooperate and give statements...
Before I can finish, Lucien pulls me into his arms, his chin lightly resting on the top of my head.
Lucien: There's no need to rush
Lucien: I don't want to make you suffer any more today. I will negotiate with them to postpone the process until tomorrow morning.
He unconsciously tightens his grip, revealing deeper emotions beneath his slightly stern demeanor.
Apart from guilt, there's a greater sense of fear that he can’t control.
[it’s the fear of losing someone yet again :”]
I can't help but hug him tightly, feeling his silent but turbulent embrace.
MC: Even though I'm fine now, I'll still listen to you~
The light in Lucien's eyes softens a bit more, he releases me and picks up the rabbit plush at his foot, and gently pats it.
Lucien: MC, my plans have been disrupted, so to make it up to you...
Lucien: I will help you clean it. In the time that follows, both me and it will be here to bring you joy.

I DON'T CARE IF (HEAVEN WON'T TAKE ME BACK) — CHAPTER 9 (AO3)
i turned guest comments back on on ao3, so i'm hoping and praying i don't get any more ai-accusation bots in my fics so that all u wonderful readers who don't have an ao3 can comment on my fics! 🙏 (i don't use ai ppl just saying)
as for the chapter—eeee, action and excitement away. and also... my fave chapter is out as of tuesday. one person has already read it (for secret reasons that will be revealed later aka a collab) so no spoilers, but... hurt/comfort and smut is coming.
k enjoy the snippet! full chapter is here!
The wooden floor creaked below us as we made our way up to the top floor of a shitty apartment building in the middle of Shanghai’s sketchiest district, where Shenmei had promised us a safe house to regroup and recuperate.
I felt sore all over. We had been stuffed into an escape pod for nearly half an hour before resurfacing in the middle of the ocean before eventually coming across a boat full of very wary Chinese citizens, who Shenmei had sweet-talked into letting us hitch a ride to shore.
The sun was setting on what was the fifth day of this mission—had we been following the plan, we’d be infiltrating that bioresearch facility right about now. But instead, we were stocking up on guns, ammo and money and preparing to hunker down for the night—or for however long Jason and Shenmei planned to keep us here.
Why would they do that? Why would they kill a sub full of people? Why did I just get a gun pointed in my face?
I was full of questions—and I doubted I would get a straight answer for any of them.
But I would damn well try.
After we stocked up on weapons and ammunition, we all breathed a sigh of relief and let the dust settle. Jason took himself over to the couch and lit up a cigarette, folding out his large frame across the tiny two-seater loveseat. Shenmei had gone out to grab some food and essentials for us—we’d be here for a while, then.
“I’m gonna go jump in the shower.” Dee mumbled, clearly feeling the tension in the room. Jason was staring at me like some kind of prideful lion, and it was awkward as hell. But there was a conversation to be had here, and whilst Dee may have had plans to avoid the room, I was gonna get the information out—one way or the other.
The door to one of two bedrooms in the apartment—one for us guys, one for the girls—closed softly behind her. After a few minutes, the groan of pipes and rushing water from the nearby bathroom filled the silence as Dee had turned on the shower. I cleared my throat, rolling my shoulders back and trying not to imagine her naked under that hot spray before approaching Jason.
Time to get some answers.
“Alright.” I took the opposite couch, an ugly mustard yellow that clashed with the brown leather loveseat that Jason sat on. This couch felt sticky, and reeked with some kind of unknown smell that I didn't want to think about right now. “We made it to shore. Are you gonna brief us now?”
Jason deeply inhaled, his cheeks hollowing as he sucked on his cigarette, held onto the smoke and then removed the cig from between his lips. Then he exhaled slowly, never once breaking eye contact with me. A ring of smoke filtered out of his lips that settled with the rest of the air in this stuffy apartment.
“What is it you wanna know, hotshot?”
The slight glimmer of confidence in his eyes was unnerving. It was almost as if Jason knew that I knew he wasn't being genuine anymore, and so, he no longer played the grizzled war vet.
“You can start by telling me what it is you're really after.” I said, then felt an incredulous laugh bubble in my throat as I added, “I mean, you killed the crew, so it must be something major? If you're not breaking into the facility—what are you here for? Or was the whole mission just a dupe?”
Jason was silent for a beat or two. I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to figure out his game. He looked totally calm, his hands resting on his knees as the last glimmers of the setting sun streamed in through the dirtied picture windows, the golden light making him look serene.
“Shenmei and I are on a different mission. We’re looking for something else.”
“Looking for what?”
“Proof, that’ll expose a conspiracy by the US government.” Jason’s smirk ticked upward, a low hum of pride in his voice.
I felt myself laughing again, another low chuckle of incredulousness rumbling in the back of my throat. Of fucking course. I should have known. “Treason? Well, isn't that a fun plan?” I leaned back in my seat, rolling my shoulders back again as I sank further into the sticky, scratchy couch. “I’ll be sure to include that in my report, shall I?”
“It won't do you any good.” Jason shrugged in a casual way—but villains always did have a casual shrug. A confident shrug. But that confidence was misguided—I would see to that. “They'll just cover it up, like they always do. And I’m sure you know how good they are covering things up—Officer Kennedy.”
Anger struck a gong within my heart, as a brief flash of my younger self was reflected back to me—as I had just put on that uniform, giving myself a pep talk in the mirror. After I had just seen one of my zombified co-workers crushed by a rolling door, of course.
My nostrils flared. “I’m not an officer—”
“But you could have been.”
I felt a growl in the back of my throat. He’s using you. Don't let him. “Don't change the subject.”
“I’m not. I’m just saying—they’re the bad guys here.” Jason jammed a finger toward the window, toward the outside world. Cigarette ash fluttered down from the smouldering tip and sizzled against the messy coffee table. “Not us. Not Shenmei and I.”
“Where’s your proof of that?”
“That’s what we’re here for. And you’re gonna help us get it.” Jason’s smile grew even more wicked. I eyed him warily before my eyes flitted to the table before me. There were two glocks right in front of us, and Jason looked like the type to shoot first before confirming answers later.
Jason hummed confidently, taking another pull from his cigarette. “You and that girlfriend of yours.”
My mind instantly flashed to an image of Dee—how terrified she had been back on that sub surrounded by those rats. Adrenaline began to surge within my blood as I latched onto the nostalgic feeling of how close we had gotten to each other, the proximity that had been between us every time we were put together.
Like we were magnets attracted to each other, drifting toward each other. Meant for each other.
Then I pictured how gruesome it would be if I let Jason get his hands on her. My heart stuttered in my chest, and my stomach lurched painfully. My nostrils flared, and I swallowed the pit blocking my throat. Not a fucking chance. I wanted to scream, but I was quiet. I was contained. But I made sure that my eyes said what my mouth couldn't. Leave her out of this.
“You want our help?” I scoffed. “You just killed a sub full of people.”
Jason and I stared at each other for five long seconds, in a tense battle of wills and silent wits. His smirk faltered, and I braced myself for the attack as Jason leaned forward slightly. Jason stubbed out his cigarette. The burning embers sizzled against the ceramic ashtray as Jason ground it out, leaving the butt of his cigarette crushed and weak—limp.
“Do you wanna know the thing about terror, Agent Kennedy?”
Jason leaned back again slowly, still holding eye contact with me. That smirk of his was starting to come back. He lifted two fat fingers to the side of his head to tap his temple. “It starts with fear. You cultivate it, and you watch it spread. Then—then you’ve got terror.”
I waited for that evil-villain-laugh. It didn't come. I cleared my throat, shifting in my seat before leaning forward. If Jason wanted to up the tension, so would I. “Cool theory. Riveting, really.” My voice was a low mutter that dripped in sarcasm. “You can tell them all about it at your court-martial.”
Jason frowned again. His green eyes flashed dangerously. I felt my stomach start to sink, before I swallowed tightly. You’re fine. Just breathe.
“So—I take it you aren't gonna help us?” Jason asked, eyes searching me for a possible change of heart. “Not you, not your girl?”
Don't talk about her like that. “Nope.” I shook my head, popping the ‘p’ sound.
Jason blew out a breath. An exhale that had a small laugh following it in a soft gurgle of air. Evil villain laugh. He stared at me for a few silent beats, as I stared right back. I noticed his hands flexing.
Then, in a split second movement, Jason reached for the gun. I was faster, reaching for the second gun and aiming as quick as I could, pulling the trigger and clipping the couch as both of us ducked for cover behind our respective couches. Gunshots rang in my ears, my adrenaline frying my nerves and making my blood run cold.

Understanding the Value of FFPE Blocks in Modern Research
Biomedical research heavily depends on having good-quality, well-preserved tissue samples at their disposal. Of the most common types of specimens used are formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) blocks. These tissue samples give scientists an accessible, long-term means of performing multiple types of analyses, such as molecular profiling, histopathology, and biomarker discovery.
FFPE blocks are made by initially fixing tissues in formalin, a process that stabilizes cellular structures by crosslinking proteins. The fixed tissue is embedded in paraffin wax, and thin sectioning and long-term storage become possible. The process has been established as a gold standard in pathology laboratories globally because it is efficient, stable, and adaptable for various diagnostic and research uses.
Advantages and Applications of FFPE Block Collection
Having and collecting a strong FFPE block collection is essential for both academic and clinical institutions. These blocks have the distinct advantage of being able to be stored for years without loss of integrity. This makes it possible for researchers to go back and look at old cases for retrospective studies, so that historical information can still be used to make new scientific discoveries.
One of the major advantages of FFPE samples is their suitability for use with a broad array of methods, such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH), and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Although formalin fixation may lead to some DNA and RNA fragmentation, improvements in extraction and amplification technologies have allowed for the recovery of quality nucleic acids from these samples. Consequently, FFPE tissue has emerged as an invaluable tool for genomic research and personalized medicine investigation.
Moreover, FFPE blocks also have an important function in cancer research. Paraffin-embedded tumor tissue can be examined for mutation profiling to help with the identification of targeted therapies. The reproducibility is provided by the uniform preparation process, which is critical when comparing findings between studies or confirming biomarkers.
How FFPE Blocks Support Global Bioresearch
Given the increasing demand for translational research, FFPE samples have become increasingly significant in global biorepositories. Such blocks allow researchers to obtain standardized high-quality tissue samples from around the globe, which are highly necessary for comparative studies and large-scale research. International collaborations usually rely on the presence of such specimens to provide uniformity to the outcomes of research.
Ethically obtained FFPE blocks, acquired under strict regulatory conditions, also improve the validity of published research. With access to varied and well-documented tissue repositories, researchers can investigate diseases among various populations and stages, improving the strength of their results.
Institutions with large FFPE archives make an important contribution to public health research, especially for the investigation of rare diseases or new health risks. FFPE samples from historical outbreaks or rare diseases provide an important window on disease progression, response to treatment, and long-term health status.
Reliable Access to FFPE Blocks for Your Research
Securing access to a reputable FFPE block collection can really speed up your research goals. When selecting a source, make sure to search for quality assurance, ethical acquisition, and thorough clinical annotation. These elements help ensure that the tissue samples are not only scientific grade but also rich in contextual information for your research.
If you want to acquire ethically sourced, high-quality formalin fixed paraffin embedded blocks or develop a quality FFPE block collection, choose to collaborate with a provider who puts emphasis on quality, compliance, and client service.

Former CDC director confirms engineered origin and lab leak of COVID19; COGwriter pointed to that in January 2020 as well as providing other information that was proved to be correct
COGwriter
A former CDC official confirmed the human engineered, as opposed to natural, origin of the novel coronavirus which was renamed COVID19:
21 November 2024
Robert Redfield, a former director of the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), has claimed that Covid-19 was artificially developed, and that the US played a “substantial” role in starting the pandemic.
Redfield, who led the agency under the administration of US President Donald Trump, made the claim in an interview that was released on November 14, but only drew media attention this week.
Speaking to author and podcaster Dana Parish, he suggested that the virus was “intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program.” “When you look at the accountability for China, their accountability is not in the lab work and the creation of the virus,” but in their failure to quickly report the incident to health authorities worldwide including the CDC, when they realized the virus was on the loose, he said.
However, the US “role was substantial,” he added. “They funded the research, both from NIH [National Institutes of Health], the State Department’s USAID and the Defense Department.” …
Redfield previously said the Covid-19 pandemic, which killed more than seven million people worldwide and caused a global economic downturn, most likely started with a lab leak in Wuhan, China, and suggested that the debate on the virus’s origins was “squashed.” https://www.rt.com/news/607966-us-covid-origin-claim/
Since January 2020, I pointed to the idea that the coronavirus was bioengineered and somehow was leaked. So much so, we also put out the following video back then:
youtube
17:01
Biological Warfare and Prophecy
Is biological warfare possible? Was it prophesied? Scientists have long warned that pathogenic organisms like the coronavirus could be weaponized. Furthermore, back in 2017, there were concerns that the biological research facility being constructed in Wuhan, China was risky and that a coronavirus from it could be released. On January 25, 2020, China’s President Xi Jinping publicly stated that the situation with the Wuhan-related strain of the coronavirus was grave. Did Church of God writers like the late evangelist Raymond McNair warn that engineered viruses (the “Doomsday bug”) were consistent with prophecies from Jesus? Did a warning from CCOG leader Bob Thiel warn about risks of genetically-modified (GMO) mosquitoes come to pass? Could human research and/or the consumption of biblically-unclean animals such as bats and snakes be a factor in current outbreaks or coming future pestilences? What about famines? How devastating have pestilences been? How devastating are the prophesied ones going to be? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.
Here is a link to our video: Biological Warfare and Prophecy.
Since that video was made, various others agreed. Here are some links to items posted here:

So, while the media tended to disparage people like me, the fact is that the lab leak origin made the most sense. Particularly since nothing in nature surfaced as a real cause.
Let’s also look at something the New York Post put out titled: 10 myths told by COVID experts — and now debunked. Notice the following from that article:
In the final analysis, public health officials actively propagated misinformation that ruined lives and forever damaged public trust in the medical profession.
Here are 10 ways they misled Americans:
Misinformation #1: Natural immunity offers little protection compared to vaccinated immunity
A Lancet study looked at 65 major studies in 19 countries on natural immunity. The researchers concluded that natural immunity was at least as effective as the primary COVID vaccine series. https://nypost.com/2023/02/27/10-myths-told-by-covid-experts-now-debunked/?utm_source=sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=news_alert&utm_content=20230228?&utm_source=sailthru&lctg=6079ac3b7030294703928733&utm_term=NYP%20-%20News%20Alerts
For my promoting natural immunity, YouTube censored a video we put up (see YouTube censors: COVID-19: Eat what is good!).
Here are more items from the New York Post article:
Misinformation #2: Masks prevent COVID transmission
Cochran Reviews are considered the most authoritative and independent assessment of the evidence in medicine.
And one published last month by a highly respected Oxford research team found that masks had no significant impact on COVID transmission. …
Misinformation #3: School closures reduce COVID transmission
The CDC ignored the European experience of keeping schools open, most without mask mandates.
Transmission rates were no different, evidenced by studies conducted in Spain and Sweden.
Misinformation #4: Myocarditis from the vaccine is less common than from the infection
Public health officials downplayed concerns about vaccine-induced myocarditis — or inflammation of the heart muscle.
They cited poorly designed studies that under-captured complication rates.
A flurry of well-designed studies said the opposite.
We now know that myocarditis is six to 28 times more common after the COVID vaccine than after the infection among 16- to 24-year-old males. …
Misinformation #5: Young people benefit from a vaccine booster
Boosters reduced hospitalizations in older, high-risk Americans.
But the evidence was never there that they lower COVID mortality in young, healthy people. …
Misinformation #6: Vaccine mandates increased vaccination rates
President Biden and other officials demanded that unvaccinated workers, regardless of their risk or natural immunity, be fired. …
A recent study from George Mason University details how vaccine mandates in nine major US cities had no impact on vaccination rates.
They also had no impact on COVID transmission rates.
Misinformation #7: COVID originating from the Wuhan lab is a conspiracy theory
Google admitted to suppressing searches of “lab leak” during the pandemic. …
And, in my case as a scientist, I have always felt a high level of confidence that a lab leak was the cause.
Here are more items from the New York Post article:
Misinformation #8: It was important to get the second vaccine dose three or four weeks after the first dose …
Misinformation #9: Data on the bivalent vaccine is ‘crystal clear’
Dr. Ashish Jha famously said this, despite the bivalent vaccine being approved using data from eight mice.
To date, there has never been a randomized controlled trial of the bivalent vaccine. …
Misinformation #10: One in five people get long COVID
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claims that 20% of COVID infections can result in long COVID.
But a UK study found that only 3% of COVID patients had residual symptoms lasting 12 weeks. What explains the disparity?
Well, if long COVID is defined as having some symptoms for months after having COVID, my clinical experience suggests it is greater than 3%.
That said, most of the mainstream media and Big Tech pushed various narratives that were false.
The Bible warns of the “unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18)–and we saw a lot of this with COVID and are also seeing this in other areas as well.
Getting back to one of two videos that YouTube pulled that we made for violating its so-called “medical misinformation policy” here is what was advocated in that:
People should decrease their consumption of junk food. Instead that has increased and many Americans have gained unhealthy weight (see Using scale for weight loss? Americans gain weight during COVID-19 shut downs) which will not bolster their innate or adaptive immune systems.
Exercise is beneficial for the immune system (watch The Plain Truth About Exercise), yet during the corona/COVID lockdowns, many have gotten less exercise. Some because of fear of going outside and some because many gyms have been closed by government orders. Yet, the Bible teaches ‘bodily exercise profits a little’ (1 Timothy 4:8).
Avoiding smoking (see also Should Christians Smoke Tobacco or Marijuana?) and polluted air (watch Air Pollution, Autism, and Prophecy) help the immune function. Yet, cigarette purchases in the USA went up last year during the COVID lockdowns.
People should increase their consumption of high vitamin C fruits (like citrus and berries) and vegetables (like tomatoes and bell peppers) as vitamin C is proven to bolster the immune system, help protect tissues (like lungs), and fight viruses (see also COVID-19 and Vitamin C: The truth, the myth, and the hype). Many also contain fruits and vegetables supply betacarotene, which also supports the immune system.
Eleven years ago it was reported in a scientific journal that zinc was effective against coronaviruses to reduce their replication (see‘CDC Triples Number of Possible CCP Virus Symptoms;’ Don’t swallow Lysol to fight COVID-19! What about Zinc? Bloodclots?). Various foods, like pumpkin seeds, contain zinc.
Selenium may also be helpful. Eating a couple of Brazil nuts per week can supply adequate amounts of selenium.
Substances like methylene blue and hydroxychloroquine help improve zinc absorption (see also Donald Trump taking zinc and hydroxychloroquine to prevent COVID-19: Mainstream media aghast! Vitamin D? Vitamin C?).
Sunlight helps convert cholesterol into vitamin D and vitamin D looks to be helpful for those facing the coronavirus (see Donald Trump taking zinc and hydroxychloroquine to prevent COVID-19: Mainstream media aghast! Vitamin D? Vitamin C?). Even the CDC’s Dr. Fauci has admitted that vitamins D and C can be helpful (see COVID interview: Dr. Fauci takes isolated vitamin D and synthetic vitamin C).
Many herbs can help with viruses (see ‘Ghanaians Look to Herbal Remedies for COVID-19’ ‘Enti wobԑdi Onyankopↄn Nna Kronkron anaa Ahonhommↄnee Ahomegyeԑ Nna?’).
Jesus said His followers would fast (Mark 2:20). Fasting boosts the immune system (see Reuters: Why is New Orleans’ coronavirus death rate seven times New York’s? Obesity is a factor; BNP: ‘How to Change Your Life in 5 Seconds’). Fasting, for those who can, can truly help the immune system (see Fasting aids longevity and provides other benefits).
Blood clots can be destructive and even deadly with COVID-19, hence people who get COVID-19 may wish to take nattokinase (see ‘CDC Triples Number of Possible CCP Virus Symptoms;’ Don’t swallow Lysol to fight COVID-19! What about Zinc? Bloodclots?).
Lung tissue damage is associated with COVID-19 and bovine lung tissue helps support healthy lungs (see CBS: Blood types may play role in which COVID patients get sickest; Isaiah: Eat what is good.).
People should avoid consuming biblically unclean meat (see The New Testament Church, History, and Unclean Meats), which look to have been implicated in the cause of COVID-19 (see NPR: Where Did The Coronavirus Originate? Virus Hunters Find Genetic Clues In Bats; WND: Biblically unclean animals responsible for pandemics and Clean and unclean meat arguments, COVID-19, and the Bible).
Humans can help maintain healthy kidneys and other organs with bovine kidney and other organ tissues (see https://doctorsresearch.com/articles/2759/the-truth-about-glandulars-in-nutritional-supplements/). Plural glandular supplements can be helpful.
Even vaccine advocates think that the rushed vaccine will have safety risks (e.g. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/22/trump-circle-pressure-fda-rush-covid-19-vaccine-election)–hence caution and wisdom are advised.
All the above have the potential to help support one’s innate immune system, which helps the body fight many types of pathogens–not just one. It is good to try to be healthy and take proper steps.
Yet, instead, YouTube and many others have pushed agendas that are often anti-biblical and anti-scientific.
The good news is that years ago, when I saw that YouTube was effectively ‘shadow banning’ our videos, we in the CCOG decided to go on additional platforms.
Here is information and a link to the YouTube censored video that we still have up at BitChute:
Feb 21, 2021
COVID-19: Eat what is good!
US President Joe Biden said on 2/19/21 that the USA may NOT “return to normal” in 2021 because of vaccine and mutation issues. Is there another approach? Would it make sense to improve nutrition to strengthen the immune system and to help people with COVID-19? What about zinc, selenium, vitamin C, and vitamin D? What about avoiding unclean meats? What about eating more fruits and vegetables and items such as pumpkin seeds and Brazil nuts? What about eating bovine glandulars? What about herbs? Could fasting help? What about exercise and sunlight? What about masks, lockdowns, junk food, obesity, and weight gain? Dr. Thiel, who possesses a US regionally accredited PhD. in nutrition science from the Union Institute and University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California, and a natural scientist license from the State of Alabama, explains why people may wish to consider approaches for their immune system. He also goes over scriptures related to worse pandemics coming (associated with the ride of the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse–Revelation 6:7-8), and the fact that the Bible teaches to “eat what is good” (Isaiah 55:2).
A written article, with references, of related interest is also available titled “Joe Biden: life may not return to normal this year due to COVID mutations; Paul Roberts: The Covid Pandemic Is The Result of Public Health Authorities Blocking Effective Treatment” URL: https://www.cogwriter.com/news/prophecy/joe-biden-life-may-not-return-to-normal-this-year-due-to-covid-mutations-paul-roberts-the-covid-pandemic-is-the-result-of-public-health-authorities-blocking-effective-treatment/
Here is a link to the censored video: COVID-19: Eat what is good!
That said, do not think that the mainstream and Big Tech are about to change their censorship tendencies and fully apologize for the harm they have done by suppressing truth.
The Bible warns:
20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. (Isaiah 5:20-21)
And we have seen a lot of good being called evil and promotions of darkness over light related to COVID as well as the improper sexual immorality agenda that many in the mainstream and Big Tech have been promoting.

COVID 19 is NOT the End, but could it be TEOTWAWKI? The novel coronavirus called COVID-19 is wreaking havoc around the world. Many states of the USA as well as countries in Europe are on lockdown with shelter in place /shelter in residence requirements. In France, a form is required when you are not at your house. In Spain, drones are being used to warn people who are outside to got back to their homes–does that bring up feelings of ‘Big Brother’? Italy, France, and other areas are using police and/or military force to encourage people to stay inside. According to the Bible could this be the end? If not, what has to happen first? Have the second and third of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse started their ride? Could COVID-19 be the fourth horseman? Why or why not? Could we be seeing The End of the World as We Know It (TEOTWAWKI) like the R.E.M.’s 1987 single song discussed? Do Christians need to fear? What did Jesus teach? What did the Psalmist teach? COVID-19 Leading to 666? The novel coronavirus of Wuhan, China fame, is now called COVID-19. It has also been called the ‘Coronapocalypse.’ Does COVID-19 have any prophetic ramifications? What did Jesus teach about pestilences and sorrows in the Olivet prophecy in Matthew 24? Could COVID-19 be the ride of the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse? Why was this type of disease expected according to the O. Here is a link to a version in the Spanish language: ld Testament prophecies in Deuteronomy and Leviticus? What has the US Centers for Disease Control warned about? What has the CDC reported about the flu? Were there lessons about fear and infections in the 2011 movie ‘Contagion’? Because of COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO), nation of Iran, and certain French locations are telling people not to use cash, but instead electronic forms of payment. The US Federal Reserve is now quarantining money repatriated from Asia to reduce the potential spread of the coronavirus on US currency bills. Is COVID-19 worse than we have been told or could this all be a ‘false flag’ event to encourage people to move towards a cashless society? If the thousands of deaths associated with COVID-19 are pushing parts of the world towards cashlessness, how much more likely will the ride of the fourth horseman and over a billion human deaths motivate people to move to making electronic payments that can be monitored? The Bible tells of a soon coming society that controls buying and selling to force allegiance to a coming European Beast power, known as 666 (Revelation 13:16-18). Does the ‘great tribulation’ begin before ride of the fourth horseman or with the opening of the fifth seal of Revelation 6? Do the words of Jesus helps us better understand the sequence of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse and the start of the Great Tribulation? Will the ride of the fourth horseman help lead to the rise of 666? Is that ride very close? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more in this video. Combating Bacterial Infection of Rice Using Magnetic Nanoparticles_ Crimson Publishers
Combating Bacterial Infection of Rice Using Magnetic Nanoparticles by Manoranjan Arakha In Journal of Biotechnology & Bioresearch
Abstract
Magnetic nanoparticles like Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (IONPs) hold the fundamental class in nanotechnology owing to their novel properties such as magnetism, biocompatibility, easy surface modification and encapsulation, uptake efficiency and release. Their interdisciplinary nature can be judged from the fact that it has also been applied in agriculture with the main purpose to increase productivity and improve nutrient use. Novel Fe2O3 nanoparticles are biocompatible and when efficiently surface coated showed enhanced antimicrobial activity against gram positive as well as gram negative bacteria. This review focuses on the potentials of IONPs as a competitive substitute of pesticides with high antimicrobial activity against a wide range of plant pathogens along with low negative impacts on the environment. Iron oxide nano formulations along with pesticides will be effective against the bacterial as well as fungal diseases of the rice plant.
