I know I know, I said that I'm gonna do a post on the Perekoo wedding thingy, you should know me by now and that I never post stuff on time. I also want to say in advance that this headcanon might be a result of my trauma/s and my sexuality (aroace) and that I'm just sick of this stereotypical "everyone has to find their other half, and marry, and have children and blablabla"🤔😅

Do I think they would marry?

Not in the traditional way, no.

Why?

Well, I think it has different reasons.

One big point is the entire Ymbryne system. In Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders Miss Peregrine states that Ymbrynes traditionally don't marry. Yes it doesn't seem forbidden by law but I think tradition is a big thing for the peculiar world and ESPECIALLY for Ymbrynes so it's a no.

The second point is that I feel like they both have the mindset that they don't necessarily need to marry, since it doesn't really change anything about their relationship. They don't need to marry to "prove that they really love each other" or anything like that.

Another problem that I see, is Alma absolutely not being ready to face the homophobia that might hit them, if they make their relationship that open. They do live in a time where gay people weren't quite accepted.

If they would decide to "marry", I feel like they'd definitely do it either in a very very small circle or even just the two of them. And then this doesn't even have to be a big thing with wedding vows and a priest or what. It could literally just be the two of them promising to never leave each other's side and that's it (maybe with rings) . And they'd both be very happy with that :)
