i know this blog is probably run as a joke but as someone who's cognitively disabled & genuinely struggles with reading comprehension sometimes, your blog is like a fun & silly way to actually try and practice and get better at it without the anxiety of school or grades :3

way too often i see a post on here that looks genuinely important but the words just dont make any sense to me and i cant make out what it means & sometimes those reading comprehension questions actually help me work out what point OP is trying to make cus i usually dont know what questions to even ask when im confused or where to start so i just wanna say thanks for running this blog! it may be a joke or have started that way but this blog is like actually pretty helpful in improving my reading comprehension!!

I don't often respond to asks (which does make me feel bad, especially when so many of them are so kind) because otherwise this blog would be @ask-answering-posting, but I'm feeling sentimental (and sick AGAIN) so here we are

It's always very touching when someone sends me kind words, but it's especially touching when said kind words are about some actual, tangible benefit that my silly reading comprehension questions blog is having on people who follow it/see it frequently. I think you touched on this, but when they get together and yk, have to keep it on the low for a multitude of reasons.

One one hand it sucks cuz yk, Paige can’t brag like she wants to yet. But on the other hand Paige is a cocky little shit and will take the opportunity to be handsy and flirty (to a certain degree) knowing that the girls aren’t gonna think too much of it cuz paige has always been like that, But Paige and the manager both know there’s more reason to it now.

BUT NEVER FRETE our manager can play the same game Paige, don’t start stuff you can’t finish. Then it lowkey become just a personal game for them of who could fluster the other more without the team getting suspicious.

Contrary to popular belief I think the Manager and Paige made a bet on how long with would take the team to figure out they were together. So they didn’t tell them outright, but just went along letting them figure it out themselves.

I also feel like people started noticing the dynamic change. Like don’t get me wrong the managers job comes first so Paige isn’t getting any extreme special treatment, but the girls and fans start noticing the managers tone switch when she’s talking to Paige.

Her tone just gets a bit softer and more gentle.

Like there’s this clip of manager talking to Caroline normally, then Paige calls her and manager turns and goes “yes baby?” so softly AND LIKE the “baby” isn’t what gets people cuz again, manager calls everyone by pet names. It’s HOW quickly her tone changes as soon as she started talking to Paige.

And we already know Paige’s eye contact game goes crazy and she has a STARRING PROBLEM, if I had a nickel for how many times Paige was caught staring at the manager I would be buying everyone on this blog canes oml.

Manager doesn’t really strike me as a person who shies away from eye contact most of the time, which is evident cuz there’s clips of them just starting at each other and you can FEEL THE TENSION.

But when manager does shy away from it, Paige either grabs her chin and turns her face back to her, or if she can’t Paige moves her head to try and stay in the managers eye sight.

Or let’s say Paige is talking and manager gets distracted by something. Paige is grabbing her cheeks gently with both hands, saying “Hey, I’m right here pretty girl.” while gently rubbing her cheeks with her thumbs, then drops her hands from her face and just goes back to talking.

It's a story set inside a videogame called Exclamania, where most NPC and even game functions have gained or are gaining sentience. An Introduction!

Sheesh, who isn't bad at these? Hello there! I'm Shy, but don't be fooled by the name, cus I can be quite forward at times!

I'm an artist working out of my home to create (mostly) perler bead art, and have finally decided that I should at least try this selling thing for once. I'm here to try and offer cute little accents to your life and home at a reasonable price.

I'm also here to chat and share with other artists and hopefully make connections within the community. :)

I'm still working on building my blog, as well as my shop. I have not had access to a half decent computer for a long time, so please be patient with me as I re-learn.

I typically default to perler beads as a way to calm my brain a bit during my free time. I think a lot of us at some point or another threw some beads on a peg board and were excited to see all those little bits blend together to create something cool and new. Yes, I'm a bit sentimental about plastic beads lol

Occasionally I play around with paint and jewelry making. Nothing all too exciting as far as final products go, but maybe in time. Pony bead bracelets are fun, too. I usually make a batch of 50-100 when Bonnaroo comes around so I have gifts to share around the farm!

Anyways, I am not going to make you read a novel about myself. Hoping this is a nice quick intro as I start rolling out posts and blogging again.

Des grandes causes à ne défendre que dans un microcosme ?

Imaginez que vous qualifiez quelqu'un, qu'on va appeler X, de "mascu" ou d'un autre qualificatif du genre ("oppresseur", "facho", "transphobe", "défenseur du patriarcat", "sympathisant d'ED", "misogyne", etc.). Imaginez que des gens vous croient et se mettent désormais à considérer X comme un mascu (ou un facho, etc.).

Quel sera l'impact sur X ?

Et bien ça dépendra beaucoup.

Qui est X ? Dans quel milieu évolue-t-il ? Et qui êtes-vous, vous qui le traitez de mascu ? Et qui sont celles et ceux qui reprennent vos accusations ?

Imaginez que X soit du genre à poster des photos de ses steaks hachés posés sur son joli grill flambant neuf, accompagnées de commentaires narquois sur le réchauffement climatique. Et imaginez que vous, vous soyez un militant d'un petit collectif de défense de l'environnement. X rigolera bien de se faire traiter de mascu par vous et vos potes.

Mais si X est un militant de votre collectif, et que vous et vos potes le qualifiez de mascu ? Imaginez que cet engagement lui tienne à cœur, qu'il y ait consacré du temps, que ce collectif représente un élément essentiel de sa vie sociale. Quel impact aura sur lui l'étiquette de mascu que vous lui collez ?

Alors dans mon petit exercice de pensée, je n'ai pas dit ce que X avait fait ou pas. Vous pouvez imaginer.

Imaginez si X n'a rien fait de mal, qu'il est juste ciblé par des règlements de compte, qu'il ne comprend pas ce qui lui arrive. Ou imaginez que X ne soit qu'un cynique sans scrupules qui s'est mis à militer dans un collectif majoritairement féminin pour essayer de draguer plus ou moins lourdement. Je pense que dans ce 2ème cas, X sera peu affecté par ces accusations. Il va se barrer et il va tenter son petit numéro ailleurs.

L'accusation de mascu peut être très "efficace" et avoir un réel impact. Mais l'efficacité, ça devrait se mesurer par rapport au but visé. Dans un milieu de gens bien à gauche, où personne ne conteste l'existence du réchauffement climatique ni le principe de l'égalité hommes-femmes, une étiquette de "mascu" peut démolir quelqu'un. Mais entre des gros beaufs qui postent des photos de leur barbecue et racontant à quel point ils s'en foutent du réchauffement climatique ?

C'était une réflexion de ce genre que je m'étais faite il y a quelques années, en 2017, à l'époque où arrivaient les premiers inscrits sur Mastodon.

J'ai revu passer ce texte que j'avais lu à l'époque, qui vous aidera peut-être à vous mettre dans l'ambiance :

J'ai eu récemment quelques mésaventures sur Mastodon, avec des histoires de blocage, que j'avais en partie racontées dans un autre billet de blog sur Tumblr :

Le problème a été résolu depuis. Résolu... Enfin, bof. Je ne sais toujours pas clairement quel était le motif de mon blocage (oui, je sais quels sont mes messages qui l'ont provoqué ce blocage, mais je ne sais pas quelle règle je suis sensé avoir enfreinte...). Ça a généré pas mal de discussions. On a aussi découvert que le compte Mastodon d'Acermendax (de la Tronche en Biais) était bloqué ou masqué par des grosses instances francophones.

Ce qui a généré pas mal de discussions, a fait remonter les souvenirs de 2017 et a, entre autres, suscité ce texte qui m'a beaucoup parlé :

En 2017, j'avais vu des mécanismes à l'œuvre consistant à accuser une personne X de toutes sortes de qualificatifs ("Mascu", "facho", "nazi", "oppresseur", etc.) et à exiger de fait son rejet. On me dit que la cancel culture n'existe pas, que c'est une panique morale entretenue par les bourgeois et les réacs. Mon cul. Je l'ai vue à l'œuvre. Et j'ai vu des témoignages de gens qui se retrouvaient pris là-dedans.

X se fait traiter de nazi. Arrive Y qui défend X, qui trouve que c'est dégueulasse de le traiter ainsi de nazi. Vous vous rendez compte ? Y défend un nazi ! Y est aussi un peu nazi donc. Et Z passe par là. Il trouve que l'on pousse le bouchon trop loin. On voit que Z est aussi un nazi; c'est évident puisqu'il défend les nazis. Et W ne pige pas. Il demande d'où est parti cette histoire. On lui fait comprendre qu'il doit croire la parole des concerné(e)s, des oppressé(e)s, que remettre en cause leur parole c'est soutenir les oppresseurs, se mettre du côté des nazis. Ou peut-être que W va piger d'entrée de jeu et qu'il va éviter de poser des questions qui risqueraient d'attirer sur lui des soupçons de sympathies nazis ou de collaboration avec les oppresseurs.

Et des gens actifs dans des collectifs militant pour la protection de la vie privée, le logiciel libre, la défense des personnes LGBT, etc, racontaient comment ils s'étaient retrouvés pris dans des histoires de ce genre. Se faire étiqueter "problématique", et découvrir que celles et ceux qui continueraient à afficher leur soutien ou leur amitié pourraient avoir droit à la même étiquette.

Ça me faisait penser à la notion d'anathème telle que développée aux premiers siècles de l'Église. Une personne se retrouvait anathème, c'est-à-dire rejetée de la communauté, mise au banc, pour avoir tenu un certain propos. Et si une deuxième personne contesterait cette mesure elle devait aussi être rejetée et mise au banc. Et si une troisième personne refusait l'anathème contre la deuxième, elle était à son tour anathème. Etc.

Plus tard, j'ai vu des mécanismes du même genre qui touchaient divers milieux militant contre la désinformation en ligne, pour l'esprit critique, pour l'éducation au média, contre le charlatanisme, etc.

Des accusations répétées en boucle, et des gens invités à y croire sur parole, parce que ces accusations venaient des bonnes personnes, celles qu'il fallait croire. Et qu'il ne faudrait surtout pas être du côté des oppresseurs, fachos, mascus, etc, dans ces circonstances.

Et ça avait une certaine efficacité.

Mais dans certains milieux.

Le comble du comble, c'était sans doute ce moment magique sur Twitter, ou un toubib avait été qualifié d'ordure misogyne et autres joyeusetés. Et il fallait croire. Douter était inacceptable. Une femme avait osé en douter.

"Je suspend mon jugement" a-t-elle dit. Inconsciente qu'elle était ! Un homme, porteur auto-proclamé de la parole féministe, est venu lui expliquer :

"Vous avez la même suspension du jugement que Faurisson qui estime qu'il n'a pas eu assez de preuves de l'existence des chambres à gaz"

Un mec. À une meuf qui refusait de reprendre à son compte des accusations qu'elle jugeait infondées. Au nom du féminisme.

C'est caricatural. C'est grossier. Mais ça existe vriament.

Et ça a une certaine efficacité...

DANS CERTAINS MILIEUX.

Au fait, le militantisme, en général, ça a pas un but de changer la société, d'agir au niveau global ?

Non ?

Alors que penser de méthodes d'action qui ne sont efficaces qu'auprès de celles et ceux qui affichent déjà leurs convictions, celles et ceux qui font des concours de pureté militante ? Alors, il faudrait pas se poser la question de l'impact réel, en dehors de ces milieux ?

Chez monsieur et madame Tout-le-Monde ? Votre beauf que vous traitez de beauf ? Votre vieille voisine de pallier ? L'épicier du coin que vous qualifiez de boutiquier ? Votre tonton que vous trouvez un peu raciste ? Votre collègue dont vous dites tout bas que c'est un arriviste ? La patronne du bistrot du coin ? Les gens que vous avez croisé dans la rue ces dernières 24 heures ?

En dehors de ces milieux de convaincus, de ces milieux où il est bon d'afficher sa pureté militante, quel est l'impact, par exemple, de l'utilisation à tort et à travers d'accusations de fascisme, masculinisme, oppression, etc ?

On se retrouve avec des gens qui font semblant de voir ce qu'ils n'ont pas vu et qui ne voient pas ce qu'ils ont pourtant sous les yeux. Certains vont trouver que c'est magnifique un tel résultat, que ça prouve que les méthodes sont bonnes, que l'on a réussi à imposer un rapport de force favorable à LA cause...

D'autres vont déjà tiquer sur l'aspect éthique. Parce que bon, je développe pas ici, mais coller des étiquettes infamantes à des gens et mettre la pression sur les autres pour qu'ils fassent pareil, moralement, bof, bof. Mais, en plus, du point de vue pragmatique, les beaux idéaux sur la transformation sociale, on les a complètement perdus en cours de route.

Et on peut pousser la réflexion au delà de la question des accusations bidon et des mécanismes de type "cancel culture" (mettez une autre expression si vous voulez, genre "logique d'anathème"). Les invitations à croire sur parole une affirmation qui vient des "bonnes" personnes. Les invitations à ne pas vérifier certaines infos, à ne pas chercher à savoir, à se méfier du "culte de la vérité".

Si, si, j'ai vu passer cette expression sur les RS. Le problème du "culte de la vérité". Ça me fait penser à d'autres expressions du même genre, comme "les cris d'orfraie des défenseurs de l'exactitude". On a des canicules et des sècheresses record pendant que les météorologues se font accuser de faire de la propagande pour le réchauffement climatique. On a je sais pas quel pourcentage de la population (et donc d'électeurs) qui croit qu'un groupe malfaisant organise un "Grand Remplacement". Des toubibs et des chercheurs se font menacer parce qu'il occulteraient les effets secondaires des vaccins (qui d'ailleurs ne seraient pas des vaccins, mais des expérimentations génétiques). De plus en plus de politiciens, dans tout le spectre politique, mentent de manière décomplexée sur plein de sujets. Mais il y a des gens qui sont très en souci à cause d'un soit disant "culte de la vérité".

Je vous jure, c'est la vérité, je l'ai vu.

Je me remets dans une situation bien concrète. J'ai un proche qui me dit qu'il veut bien croire que le climat se réchauffe en ce moment, mais que, bon, c'est pas du tout sûr que ça soit lié à l'activité humaine. Je fais quoi avec ça ?

En quoi toutes ces méthodes décrits plus haut peuvent m'aider dans cette interaction ?

Les accusations lancées à tort et à travers au sein de certains milieux, accompagnées d'injonction à reprendre ces accusations, sont très efficaces pour marginaliser des gens (qui le sont déjà parfois) et pour exercer un pouvoir (non explicite) à l'interne. Et on peut élargir ça à toute injonction à croire une affirmation et à renoncer à toute forme de vérification. C'est très efficace pour distinguer les "vrais", les "purs", des éventuelles brebis galeuses prêtes à douter.

I look up when I hear footsteps outside the door, and my eyes light up when Ayato gracefully opens the door and walks through. The door closes softly behind him, and I hear a tired groan that he must’ve been holding in all day slowly escape his pretty lips. 

I admire him as he stretches his body and he extends his arms above his head. Once he’s relaxed his formerly tense body, he opens his eyes and that’s when he finally notices me there. 

“Oh, it’s you. I hope I haven’t kept you waiting for too long.” Ayato says as he looks my way. His eyes soften when he notices the way I’m sprawled out on his bedding. He makes his way over to me and sits down beside me as he lets out another tired sigh.

“Long day?” Is all I ask. I sit up and rub his back in a soothing motion. He sighs as he leans into my touch and nods in confirmation. “Endearingly so.” Is his terse reply. I wiggle closer to him and he doesn’t protest, so we stay like this in comfortable silence for a while.

Eventually Ayato gets up to change into something more comfortable, and I make a move to leave but he ‘tsks’ at me when I stand up. “Where do you think you’re going? Sit back down, I’m sure the view is worthwhile.” Ayato teases me. I blush but abide his words and bashfully watch as Ayato gracefully moves about his private quarters, changing into something more comfortable.

“Now, where were we?” Ayato rhetorically asks. He makes his way towards me and takes a seat beside me again, allowing his hand to rest on my thigh. “Ayato, look at me.” I tell him. I hear his hum of amusement at my demand but he abides by my request nonetheless. “What is it, love?” He asks once he’s turned his whole body in my direction.

I turn my body to face him as well, but instead of verbally responding I answer his question through touch. I lift my hand and delicately rub my thumb over his little beauty mark under his lip. I’m too occupied admiring his beauty mark to gauge his reaction, but I’m sure it’s priceless. I lean forward and press the gentlest of kisses against his beauty mark. 

Once, twice. Again, and again. 

“Y-Y/n.” Ayato mumbles. He sounds flustered but I continue peppering his little beauty mark with kisses. “Y/n!” Ayato whines. I finally stop teasing him and pull away from him to see his reaction. 

His entire face is flushed and he’s clearly been affected by my kisses. 

“Y/n-” “You were right Ayato, the view is worthwhile.” I cut him off with a smug remark. Ayato huffs and pouts at my words and I can only giggle as I press a sweet kiss against his lips. Ayato returns my kiss with an equal amount of adoration, and when he pulls away he fixes me with a questioning gaze.

“What was that all about?” He asks me as he tries not to smile. 

He fails. Miserably.

“I love your beauty mark. Every time I see it I want to kiss it because it just looks so good on you. I’ve finally had the opportunity to act on my desires, that's all.” I nonchalantly tell Ayato. Ayato acknowledges my words by pulling me onto his lap.

“A-Ayato!” I exclaim in embarrassment. “Oh hush, it’s only fair I return the sentiment isn’t it?” Is his muffled cheeky reply. He’s currently pressing searing kisses against my neck, and he slowly moves up until his lips are pressing against the beauty mark near my eye. “Are you…” I trail off when he lightly hushes me as he continues.

He slowly moves down, and he presses a loving kiss against the underside of my chin. I pull back and giggle as he chuckles. “How cute.” Ayato says with a light chuckle before he continues moving down my body with his loving kisses. I can hear the pure adoration in his voice and it causes my cheeks to warm. 

Ayato proceeds to kiss all along my skin, pressing extra kisses to certain areas. He begins to move down further, but he abruptly stops when he notices my clothes are in the way. A soft sight escapes him as he lightly tugs the hem of my shirt. “Now, this won’t do. May I?” He asks. 

I’m sure my body feels as hot as a furnace right now, but nonetheless I bashfully nod so Ayato can continue. He hums in satisfaction as he removes my shirt, and in one swift motion he’s towering over me as I lay flat beneath him. 

Ayato continues to kiss down my body, leaving one kiss under each of my breasts. My face heats up uncontrollably, and he knows what he did because he teasingly rubs his thumb against my side when I squirm. 

He continues pressing soft yet firm kisses against my stomach. I try to protest but it only makes him linger there that much longer. When I look down, I notice the area he’s kissing and my heart simultaneously melts yet pounds uncontrollably against my chest. 

“Ayato… those are my stretch marks, not beauty marks.” He pauses halfway, about to kiss it again, before he pulls back slowly to look me in the eye. “Aren’t they the same thing?” He questions me. I’m rendered speechless and can only stare into his eyes to confirm he’s being sincere with his words. 

He maintains eye contact with me the entire time.

When I realize the implications behind his words, tears spring to my eyes and I have to avert my gaze to indiscreetly wipe them away before they can fall. “My love, every mark on your body is beautiful, no matter the nature or cause. I adore your body the way it is, no need to feel ashamed. Just like you’ve wanted to kiss my beauty mark, I’ve wanted to kiss your beauty marks, scars, stretch marks…” Ayato trails off when I fail to stop tears from flowing down my face.

Ayato raises himself up to lay beside me. He pulls me into his chest as he mutters words of comfort and runs his fingers through my kinky hair. “..Has no one ever told you things of this nature before?” Ayato softly asks me. When I hiccup as I shake my head no, he sighs in disappointment as he continues running his fingers through my hair. “How shameful. It seems I’m the only one who’s able to truly appreciate how beautiful you are.”

He holds me in his embrace until the tears have stopped falling down my cheeks, and Ayato uses his hand to gingerly wipe the last one away as it makes its slow descent down my cheek. “Feel better?” Is all he asks. I shyly nod against his chest and he coos at my shy demeanor. “Ah, you’re so cute! It’s such a shame everyone else is too slow to realize it, because now you’re all mine…” Ayato trails off with a hint of mischief in his voice. 

He suddenly grabs my waist and pulls me flush against him. I squeal as he nuzzles his nose against mine in a butterfly kiss, softly kissing my nose after. He sits himself up, and as he looks down at me his smile is so radiant the only thing I can do in reply is smile back just as bright. 

“There it is. That beautiful smile.” He says with joy in his voice. He offers me his hand, and I take it. He lifts me up to a sitting position next to him. “When you’re ready, we can continue.” Is all he says. He stands up and begins to walk away, but I grab onto the article of his clothes before he can leave. He turns around to look at me, but I stand up and embrace him from behind.

“Where do you think you’re going, after you said all of that!?” I exclaim in disbelief. Ayato’s body shakes a bit, and before I know it he is doubled over in laughter. I let go of him and stare at his shaking body with what I’m sure is an incredulous expression on my face. “Ayato!? The audacity-” My words are caught in my throat when he abruptly turns around and gently captures one of my hands in his. 

He uses one of his hands to elegantly twirl me around before he dips me below him, with one of his arms firmly wrapped around my waist and pulling my body flush against his. His free hand that previously twirled me around slowly intertwines with mine. 

“Now, let's not jump to conclusions. I only stood up and walked away to grab a tissue, but it seems as if you don’t need one. Am I correct?” Ayato sensually whispers next to my ear. I let out a squeak when he teasingly licks my neck, only to pull away to kiss me deeply on the lips. 

It feels like time has stopped as I’m held in Ayato’s arms and our tongues lovingly embrace each other in a mind numbing tango. I’m reminded where I am when he squeezes the arm around my waist in reassurance. He pulls away just enough to look deeply into my eyes as he says, “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.” He slowly stands up with me pressed close against him, and he holds me in the most loving embrace I’ve ever been held in.

I lean against him and he gently sways our bodies together, to what I’m sure is a sweet melody, in his quiet quarters. It feels as if Ayato and I are the only ones who exist, and I feel a smile engulf my face. “My, it sure was funny hearing you scramble to catch up with me.” Ayato breaks the silence. I smack his chest playfully and he laughs without inhibition.

“You’ve gotten bold. I’m the Yashiro Commissioner, you know.” Ayato gleefully reminds me. “Whatever. You got up just to see if I’d follow you.” I mumble against his chest. “Oh hush, that may be one of the reasons why but I was genuinely going to get you a tissue.” He reprimands me. I give him a half hearted reply and he smooths his fingers over my hair. “Well then, are you ready to continue?” He softly asks me. I pull back to look at him with what I’m sure is confusion written all over my face. “Continue?” Ayato pulls me back to where we were before and lays me down again. 

“Of course. I haven’t finished admiring just how beautiful you are. By the way, I love your little beauty marks here.” Ayato teases. He nips my beauty marks and I yelp in surprise. He chuckles as he runs a hand over my noticeable stretch marks. “And these stretch marks. They’re beautiful as is.” He whispers. He presses a heart searing kiss against them before he continues moving down my body.

When he notices me squirm he looks up at me with such a radiant smile I feel my heart squeeze. I can see the love he holds for me in his breathtaking eyes. “You better get comfortable, because I’m going to make sure that pretty head of yours understands just how beautiful you truly are. Inside and out; With or without beauty marks.” 

and with that, he continues to show me how much he loves me for who I am.
