It’s so interesting to me how Bobby parents the boys even at their big ages. And how intertwined supernatural things are in the relationship with Bobby and the boys. Like remember Bobby locking Sam in his basement after Sam tried to kill him and then he just went “don’t worry son it’ll be great, I know you’re scared about your soul being shoved into your body” like he was encouraging him to do his best at a soccer tournament or something. Except it’s sam, and his ‘issue of the year’. And then he immediately forgave sam after he got his soul back. Like Bobby was so great so great. And this is so sad

Fairy’s Wellness Drink 🍋 🫚

It’s a pity that the term “detox” has been so overused and used to market drinks and diets that are supposed to be a “magic pill” for all health and weight loss things related.

I know your body has the organs necessary to detox itself and so on. I still like this drink! I just don’t like to call it “detox” not to give the idea that it does anything particularly miraculous 🧙‍♀️

It just sets the tone of the day for me and I can tweak it in different ways (adding fresh mint or green apple slices or even cinnamon) and I simply like it!

Even though it’s an acquired taste, and the straw is pretty much mandatory because of the level of acidity to help protect your teeth enamel.

Roughly it consists of:

A tall glass (mason jar, etc) of water

1 cap of raw apple cider vinegar (I literally use the cap of the bottle to measure it out!)

1-2 limes (or half a lemon), some sliced and some juiced

A bit of fresh grated ginger (or ginger powder)

Some of the actual benefits, apart from naturally helping with hydration (because water!) and some vitamin C, the component in the ACV may help regulating blood sugar levels, plus if you use actual raw ACV with “the mother” the probiotics are good for gut health.

Danny looked down at the seemly innocent cup of tea in front of him, hand clamped tightly over his nose and mouth. His mother had made it for him when he claimed to have been sick and couldn’t go to school today, claiming it was some sort of purifying tea that he had to at least try. And Danny was sick, some sort of ghost virus that had his powers fritzing out, and he was desperate to go to Frostbite to figure this out. His mother sat opposite of him with a kind, expectant smile.

How was he supposed to tell her he couldn’t drink Blood Blossom tea?

i think s1 is genuinely good and so is s2 except for the fact that they don’t answer THE question they have been asking the entire season in a meaningful way which really kills the seasons momentum and therefore the rest of the show but i think s3 is nowhere near as good. it has lots of good moments and bela and ruby were some of the strongest additions to the show they had but i think that’s where the show does start to fall apart simply bc they were planning to save dean. it was literally saved by the writers’ strike making them deviate from that plan and having him go to hell but to try to save dean cheapens the entire story and how they engage with death, especially bc in s4 they position dean’s resulting trauma (anger and fear of monsterhood) as narratively correct. the writers were literally just too in love with dean and couldn’t engage with his flaws in a way that made the story better.
