Don't mind me as I ramble a small bit about Sareena

I have to wonder how she feels about Ashrah's goal toward absolution and, essentially, becoming a human. Sareena, from what little we see of her, wants to be good and do the right thing. She's glad to be free of Quan Chi and wants to help save others.

But she doesn't seem as intent on it as Ashrah. Either she's resigned to being impure or she may just not be as bent on it and just sits with what she has.

Still, I can't help but think watching her sister try and struggle to achieve something that might ultimately separate them has to be unpleasant. I wonder if Sareena would feel bad about days where she wants her sister to fail (and then that spirals into its own thing) and then other days she really, really tries to push Ashrah forward to help her more.

Either way, I feel bad for Sareena. She does the right thing and she may have to eventually lose her sister. She doesn't, but then she'd live with knowing she could have helped.

Hey so while I'm rambling about things I like:

Let me tell you how happy my autistic ass is to have a toothpaste that tastes like Orange Creamsicle & how much easier it is to get myself to brush my teeth now. I look forward to it rather than it being a Chore. My teeth feel fucking great.

We got both the Lemon and Lavender & Orange and Cream. There's also Coco Ginger, Watermelon Mint, White Cranberry, and a regular Mint. It's flouride-free, gluten-free, vegan, and supposedly remineralizing.

Note: it does have xylitol in it. Our dogs are never in our bathroom unsupervised and rarely ever in our bathroom at all, period, but if your situation is different, please be aware, as xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs.

Sooo I was like “yeah I’m def gonna start doing SpeakingIn20 again” and then I read a book, got lazy, got anxiety and then didn’t do it again for 2 weeks. Whoops.

It’s painful being faced with just how sizeable the gap is between my written Norwegian level and my spoken Norwegian level. I have so far to go to bridge that, but the only way to do that is to stop being so embarrassed by it and just get on with it. So here we are.

Like I say in the audio, I did have a couple of notes to keep me on track (and then I lost where I was because I felt like I should tell y’all I had notes lol #fail) - mostly just words I thought I’d need and fragments of sentences, but I did have something to refer to. I mostly wanted to make that clear so you all know I’m not just rambling (although I was trying my best not to look at them). I want to be completely honest about my level because it’s so easy to make ourselves out to be a higher level than we are when we’re just online, y’know? Like I could’ve just written a script and read from it and let you think I speak really fluently, but that’d be dishonest and it doesn’t serve anyone.

Some things I picked up on myself:

I don’t always pronounce the -r at the end of present tense verbs

*konseptet (I wasn’t even sure that was a real word tbf lol)

I should probably read some book reviews and learn some book-related vocab so I can talk about books properly

Whenever I say “liksom” it just sounds like “som” because my laptop microphone is shit sorry

For any of the folks there who cursed AO3 and wanted it gone...to parrot what I'm sure many others are saying (as I've already seen it)...you're about to learn why we have AO3 🙃

Perhaps the naysayers would benefit from a trip down Fanlore one of these days. Alas, we all know such types only allow themselves a sliver of learning when it happens to them.

How many will own up to their childish tantrums against AO3? How many will bend themselves into knots??

To all who are being caught in the crossfire, though, for real...that sucks. Whatever's going on is bullshit :/

We got our new kitten.

He's 9 weeks old and due to showing up to the shelter with brain inflammation, he's got neuro damage where he does this head shake when overwhelmed or excited.

Clockwise: Cassan (or Ken-Ken as she is called by them and yes it is a 'you killed Kenny joke), Tenor, Dovi, and Sharpe.

Sharpe is being deceptively soft. This is probably the softest and least dressed up I've envisioned for her.

Since I'm now teaching a lot of people how to crochet, I am trying to recall the struggles of first learning said craft.

So, I have opted to start crocheting left-handed.
