Spent some time compiling my favourite bokris fics and here they are! This turned out to be rather long because I wrote little descriptions for every fic as well as why I liked them <3

Kisses by applegrass23 I think the first fic on ao3 that solely focuses on Bokris and the one that got me into this ship because while it's angsty and unrequited, I loved the focus on Kris and it's so well written. My heart broke but I loved it so much.

Pink by cursed_throwaway Explicit. Power dynamics and humiliation and a focus on Kris's 🍑. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, I liked it though.

we don't talk about it anymore by vanvanvanvan Bokris get-together fic with eventual breakup (their “creative differences”) only they don't get back together as a band afterwards. They meet up again eventually and try figuring it out, loved their dynamic and the focus on early bokris.

measured intervals of absence by Anonymous Fell in love with this one. I'd call it a rather experimental narrative, with Bojan trying to negotiate his changing feelings toward Kris and the anxiety he feels. Beautifully written. Very poetic.

(go on) Leave me breathless by Anonymous Explicit. Choking kink negotiations. One of the best bokris dynamics. They're just so loving and the trust they have is beautiful and also, yeah, the choking kink.

Release from the What happens on the bus stays on the bus - Tour Drabble Collection by Anonymous Explicit. Kris has a rough time, Bojan makes him feel better. Sweet and full of comfort and trust.

Ko me tvoj objem zakriva (When I'm in your arms) by Anonymous Longfic, finished. Favourite bokris fic I've ever read but be prepared for a 60k slowburn. Follows Kris from first meeting Bojan to meeting Jan, joining Joker Out and falling in love with Bojan along the way. Includes a lot of references to the band's history such as Kris and Bojan's first meeting, their break, writing vse kar vem, Martin leaving etc. Has my absolute favourite Kris characterisation, addresses his need for control and anxiety moments. His eventual realisation that falling in love with Bojan was inevitable for him as well as him and Bojan figuring out what to do with it really hit me hard, personally. If you like slowburn you will be rewarded with the most beautiful scenes at the end because they're SO sweet to each other and made me cry. If you mention this fic to me I probably won't stop talking about it.

Breakfast by ludolefebvre Coffeeshop AU. Trigger for Kris depression episode. Bojan is the cute server who tries to get through to him. Loved the focus on Kris and Bojan's puppy behaviour, even if it's an AU.

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight by JuliaBaggins @occhi-verdi-come-il-mare Perfectly encapsulates the post-Stožice high everyone was feeling. Mentions our favourite Kris Stožice outfit and Bojan and him working out their feelings for each other. Their dynamic is beautifully written and I particularly loved how Kris acted in this one <3

Interregnum by Nothing_Rhymes_With_0range Deals with Bojan trying to deal with his feelings after Martin has left the band and finding his solution in Kris. They're so unsure in this but also very sweet and yeah. They'll figure it out, as long as they have each other.

K is for Kind by Calli_Thaala Bojan and Kris finding adjectives for each other. Short, sweet, captures their dynamic perfectly.

Be My Baby by zojassparkle Longfic, finished. One of the best bokris longfic out there, following a pining Kris discovering himself and eventually realising that his feelings might not actually be unrequited after all.

Slap Your Tall Friend Day by Calli_Thaala Peak annoying Bojan. Joker Out's dynamic is also absolutely hilarious. Enjoyed reading it a lot.

that song doesn't have distortion by honey_and_venom 5+1, Soulmate AU, ongoing. Kris is Bojan's soulmate but they Do Not Talk About It. Loved the idea of their first words being their soulmarks and how sometimes you need a lot of time to really see one another because life and relationships are difficult.

The Space Between by SamePlaceandTime @reserved-fruit Post-Thailand fic dealing with all the Bokris moments we've seen lately. It's them slowly discovering that they might be ready to push their boundaries a bit further than just friendship and it's full of sweetness and comfort <3

Speaking of, special shoutout to @reserved-fruit's bokris fic prompt series, here on tumblr and here on ao3. I haven't managed to read all of them yet but I particularly liked Eat the Damn Soup and The One Where They're Found Out.

So, I am starting a new series. It's essentially fic recommendations, but I will be sharing aesthetics of the fics that I really liked and why I liked them. Unsure how long it'll be and the series is in no particular order, but I think this fandom has really wonderful writers and I wanted to show them my appreciation in some way.

[A story in which Kris loses part of his memories, featuring Bokris endgame, established Jance and a lot of soft friendship content]

What I liked about it: I am a sucker for a trope of a couple breaking up and finding their way back together later. This, paired up with a mix of both old and new perspective on his and Bojan's relationship makes reading Kris' pov so interesting!

I think the character's voice was very well put with the au it was in and the overlaying beauty of winter in the background really made it for me. I am very hyped to see where the fic is going to go so if you like amnesia fics and bokris, I definitely recommend this one ❤️

- Kris, Nace, Jan and Jure take care of Bojan. In bed (so yes, it's very smutty haha). I don't usually read poly!jo fics but I had to check this one out yesterday and I was surprised how much I enjoyed and liked it!

The Marks on Our Skin by electron_road_suspect

- Soulmate!AU with Bojan/Kris/Jere. You recommended this to me and like I already told you, I enjoyed it surprisingly a lot. Didn't expect to enjoy Kris/Jere (or bokris), but this fic tackled soulmates!trope in a different way. Was very lovely to read all the twists.

Finding his type by maladroitoracle

- I read this shortly after reading the previous one. It's Bojan/Kris/Jere again. And I was yet again very surprised how much I enjoyed reading about the three of them. This is very sweet, love how this fic is set up and how the three of them try to navigate their new relationship. Oh and the smut is smutting very much!

- I remember seeing this, eyeing it and then starting to read it when the 2nd chapter came out. Something about the setting made me hesitate a little bit, BUT I fell instantly in love with this one after I started to read. So yes, I was positively surprised by the story and thought to myself: "You really should stop hesitating to read something because of the settings, you know you are going to love these stories anyway."

Same (hesitating, eyeing, then finally going for it) goes for Private Landing by tilhi and šepetaj mi koliko me hočeš by sepetajmikolikomehoces (the latter I'm currently reading and oh my god).

I have written Bokris before, so maybe that? In my ideas file there also resides Bojan/Kiki, Bojan threesome (I went insane after new years and those instastories of Bojan dancing with Maja Keuc and I just want her and her boyfriend to take Bojan home and squish him like a bug), Jere/Pekka Rinne (please I need that giant of a man to take care of exhausted Jere), and also maybe something something Damon. (I read Janace sometimes when it's by an author I love but haven't really had anything to say about them myself.)

Recs? I'm so bad at saving stuff, and you've read so much lately, but I'll try!! Have some fandom classics and a few curveballs hopefully! I think I don't have repeats from your own rec list??

Since in your own rec post about fics that surprised you you talked about side-eyeing something first but giving it a try, have you tried Bojan’s Carefully Plotted Accident (to Ensure His Chances of Getting Monster Dick in Eurovision) by @oneshotdepresso and @mitochondriencocktail? It's crack treated seriously, monsterfucking, tentacles, but also somehow very sweet getting-together-during-ESC fic that will definitely suprise you into liking it!

AU that will force you to love it as it rips out your heart: Mustista mustimpaan and its sequel by kuurama, aka Space AU that people have definitely told you to read multiple times, so add me to the choir, read it and you won't be sorry! (You will be weeping and wailing, but it'll be worth it!)

My two favourite ESC era sadly-still-wip fics are The Best Laid Plans by @ana-chronista and Ugly Beautiful by slightlysexualfiction. Both are definitely worth it even though they are WIPs, and the latter contains what has to be my favourite tag of all time, "can I call it a slow burn when they are balls-deep in chapter one?" (who doesn't love that trope??)

Have you read When the night falls (stars in your eyes and sea in mine) by finallydeadd aka the Italian summer AU? Sadly unfinished but still worth it.

Oh! And the Lahjakääryleet fic exchange at Christmas time was excellent, my favourite was Upon a Star by slightlysexualfiction omg omg, such a beautiful, heart-wrenching story of what might have been.

i do, though i haven't been reading much as of lately (not because nothing is nice, just not in the mood)

as of pairings i read whatever really, but yeah i may like JaNace a bit more and lately i've been developing a soft spot for BoKris 💕 however, i think that my absolute favourite is Kris/Jan, though it's a bit rare

now some recommendations hmmm... there are so many great fics in the band tag in ao3 honestly. a few that come in my mind right now are these:

Ko me tvoj objem zakriva (When I'm in your arms) by anonymous main pairing: Kris/Bojan this has to be one of my favourite fics ever! it's a long one and i rarely can keep up with long fics but my god... it's so well written, every scene radiates emotions that get you in the right mood, every character involved in the plot is developed in a way that keeps you interested in them too and not only the main pairing of the story (which is something i personally like). also love the rest of the KMTOZ!saga and the Vse kar vem!verse stories <3 (@ Vse kar vem!verse author if you ever read this just know i love your work and i'm kissing you in the forehead)

Incoming video call request - Bojan Cvjetićanin by Calli_Thaala main pairing: Kris/Bojan i've laughed and almost cried at this one. another well written story which i pretty much read in one sitting. the plot twists in this one come one after the other (mild spoiler: the pairing plot twist towards the end HELLO?????) and keep you interested in reading chapter after chapter. definitelly recommend

the night shift by beeoftheanxieties main pairing: Jan/Nace idek what to write about this fic except for that it's one of the sweetest fics i've read and i wish it was longer but also kinda am glad that it is as long as it is

and I wish I could love you (but I always mess up) by beeoftheanxieties main pairing: Jan/Nace this is a one shot and things get dirty kinda fast but also the setting until they get there? please 😭🥹

god turn me into a flower by machinedarling main pairings: Kris/Bojan, Kris/Jan idk how much into hanahaki desease stuff you're in, but personally i love such fics and this one is no different. i'm afraid that if i try to comment more on it i'll end up spoiling stuff so yeah i'll stop here

When I Fall, Will You Catch Me? by JediBinx main pairing: Nace/Käärijä this is a kinktober series so nsfw, the tags on the fic are very explanatory. but besides porn after porn after porn there's also plot, which makes it even more interesting if you ask me. also the pairing?!?!?! at first i was like "okay this is a weird one i haven't seen before" but after reading two chapters i warmed up so much to the dynamic i ended up loving it so yes of course i recommend it

Until the Night is Over by OpheliaAugustaGray main pairing: Jan/Nace this one made my heart flutter so many times and also (mild spoiler) baker!Nace??!?!?!!?! this really wasn’t in my bingo card for any fic but i loved seeing him portrayed like that. a very nice addition is the amount of Igor action, i really loved the cat having an almost main role in this 🫶

pretty much everything SamePlaceandTime aka @reserved-fruit has written. the BoKris promts fics are so good i reallt can't recommend just a few so i recommend them all lol

not exactly a bokris fic but rather polyjo! with a centering around bokris, day 6: chastity and day 10: praise kink (a continuation of day 6) of rising_starship_phoniex's kinktober series have both my favorite characterizations of the bokris dynamic and its hot as hell.

obv super smutty and if that aint your thing then super valid. but if that IS your thing, you need to open ao3 right motherfuckin now because it's just written so well. hot damn.

Summary: “I could be your holidate.” Bojan says then and Kris pauses. He turns to look at Bojan, who keeps his eyes fixed on the ceiling.

“My what?”

“Your holidate.” Bojan repeats. “Your Holiday Date.”

“I'm not going to date you, Bojan.” Kris deadpans.

Bojan finally turns his head to him and rolls his eyes “It's not a real date date, it's like-” He waves his hands. “Like a date, but no strings attached and only for the holiday, to have someone to show off to your family and stuff.” Kris blinks. Bojan shrugs. “I saw it in a movie once.”

What I liked about it: The fake dating trope my beloved. No, but seriously, I adore this premise. Kris and Bojan aren't in a band together in this one, and Kris thinks Bojan is the most annoying person ever, which is so funny.

I love the relationship Kris has with his parents, especially with his mom that we get right at the beginning. Also his friendship with Jan was so sweet, and with Jan trying to balance between Bojan and Kris because he knows Kris doesn't like Bojan.

About bokris specifically, this fic felt really realistic in terms of how they would act/think of each other without their shared history. Second chapter absolutely pulled at my heart strings with Kris watching Bojan interacting with his family, though!

Truly, this fic left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling in my chest, and I am really excited to see how it'll develop further.

Summary: It's ironic, really, that he's the one named after Jesus.

What I liked about it: I'll be completely honest-I rarely read unhappy/angsty endings. That said, I was in the perfect mindset for it last night and holy shit, I am so, so glad I gave this fic a chance.

The writing is absolutely amazing, feels almost syrupy slow, making you slow down and pay attention to the details Kris is describing.

In the aesthetic, I tried to show the hopelessness of Kris' feelings that weights on him, leaking out all the colors except for when he is around Bojan, even when he suffers for it.

I love the way author made smut not only essential to the plot but alao gut wrenching. In the second quote above, I literally held my breath.

If you love bokris, beautiful writing that will leaving you heartbroken, this one is for you
