The Starless Sea ~ Kat’s Cookies

After both of us having recently read and falling in love with The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern, we were over the moon to see the Morgenstern herself had revealed the recipe for Kat's cookies on twitter. Being eager to a baking post we thought this was perfect timing. Keeping the biscuit recipe the same we decided to add our own unique twist with our decorations.

The ingredients you will need are:

1 Cup Butter or Margarine

1 1/2 Cup Sugar

1 Cup Sour Cream

1 tsp Vanilla

3 Cup Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Topping: 1 tsp Cinnamon, 1/2 Cup Sugar

I’ve mentioned to a couple people on here how grey it’s been here lately, which I totally dig because grey weather makes hot drinks taste nicer. That’s just a fact. #science . #Potter20 DAY 2: The Vanishing Glass - Least favourite part from the HP. Books. The death and loss of Sirius Black. I couldn't believe it. I spent the last few pages waiting for him to reappear. I even held out hope he would appear in Half Blood Prince even though JK Rowling had said in several interviews that he was not coming back. My big sister, @sewhalfcrazy , took the lion’s share, but I get to benefit, so I’m okay with that. 😉 She got this slightly battered Queen Anne curio from my grandad (because he acquires random treasures) and refinished it for me in this jolly color (it’s called Elizabethan Yellow). It now serves as our liquor cabinet, though I left these books there for over a day now and have yet to hear about it from the hubs.
