Found an unopened hockey pack from dollarama while decluttering. I stopped buying hockey cards more or less around 2019 so there's nothing too recent here. I used to buy any mixed packs I saw with any of the pens visible. Time to get my binders out again, reorganize everything and visit dollarama to buy packs cause I've almost 5 years of hockey cards to catch up on XD

How the Lower Decks finale should end for Bradward Boimler:
With all of the lower deck four each making Lieutenant Commander, Brad is ecstatic, as he's received orders back to the USS Titan.
Excited to be working with the Rikers again, stepping off the shuttle, he rushes to the captain's ready room to report to his former/new again CO.
Chiming to enter, he hears an unfamiliar growl, “...come...”.
The door slides open...
It's Captain Liam Shaw, eating a blue steak dinner...

IF (2024) Review
Charming and whimsical to a fault, John Kransinski's IF is a lovingly rendered ode to childhood and imagination.
John Kransinski all but weaponises whimsy in charming but slight fable IF Writer/ Director John Krasinski has a passion when it comes to his projects, and that passion is family. You can see it in A QUIET PLACE and its sequel, and it forms the beating heart of his latest offering, IF. Determined this time to make something inspired by and – crucially – for his children, IF ushers audiences into…

“My best years are behind me.” Erik Johnson knows what he is at this point of his career. But the Flyers will need him -- and fellow veteran Marc Staal -- if they are going to get into the playoffs.
Tumblr media
NOT ENOUGH CRYING EMOJIS FOR THIS ARTICLE
TAMPA, Fla. — If nothing else, Erik Johnson is self-aware. The newly acquired Philadelphia Flyers defenseman, after morning skate at Amalie Arena on Saturday, admitted he hasn’t had the greatest season as part of a disappointing Buffalo Sabres squad. And, even though his getting dealt offers him a fresh start with a new club, the 35-year-old is not suddenly going to turn the clock back a decade.
“It was really tough being 13 years in Colorado and then coming to a new team. I don’t think I really played my best hockey,” said Johnson, who signed a one-year contract with the Sabres in the offseason after spending the majority of his career with the Avalanche.
“My best years are behind me.”
The Flyers know that too, of course. Their acquisition of Johnson on Friday just before the NHL trade deadline, though, serves two purposes: It provides immediate help for what is both an inexperienced and banged-up blue line, and potentially enhances the team culture that both coach John Tortorella and general manager Danny Briere have labeled as the foundation of their rebuild.
His first game was one to forget, as the Flyers were run out of the building 7-0 by the Tampa Bay Lightning in a game that will primarily be remembered for Tortorella’s ejection midway through the first period and his refusal to leave the bench right away.
And the game was abnormal even before it started. The Flyers were forced to dress just five defensemen after Egor Zamula came down with an illness and Adam Ginning, reassigned to the AHL on Friday, was unable to make it back from the Philadelphia area in time due to weather-related flight delays, according to a team source.
In other words, it’s probably not all that advisable to form any broad conclusions from that game about how Johnson will or won’t contribute down the stretch. He was on the ice for Nick Paul’s power-play goal that made it 2-0 and maybe could have been harder around the net. He was also a bit flat-footed on Conor Sheary’s wrist shot from the high slot that made it 3-0, but Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson could have been better on both of those two scores, as well. He finished with a minus-1 rating in 19:57 of ice time, with two shots on goal and six hits.
And it’s not like anyone else on the Flyers was all that effective on Saturday either, as they got behind 4-0 midway through the first period.
“We’re usually a pretty decisive team,” assistant coach Brad Shaw, filling in for Tortorella, said after the game. “We’re usually setting the tone and playing a specific game and I thought we let them get to their game really quickly. …  Just never seemed to get our footing.”
The Flyers are fortunate in that they’ll have a chance to quickly put the brutal loss behind them when they host the league’s second-worst team, the San Jose Sharks, on Tuesday. One of the primary reasons they have managed to stay in the playoff race this season is because of their ability to quickly respond to poor efforts.
Still, they’re a bit of a different team now that they’ve lost Sean Walker, with his ability to help break the puck out of their own end and play that fast transition game that’s led to so much of the Flyers’ offense.
Johnson isn’t that type of player, and neither is another veteran who’s being relied on to play big minutes — Marc Staal, who skated in just 17 of the Flyers’ first 51 games and has now been thrust back into nightly duty with Jamie Drysdale, Rasmus Ristolainen and Nick Seeler still all on the shelf.
The Flyers seemed to realize they need to play differently in at least one of their two games after the Walker deal: They put forth an impressive, buttoned-up defensive performance in their 2-1 win in Florida on Thursday with rookies Ginning and Ronnie Attard making their respective season debuts on the blue line.
Part of the reason why they held the high-powered Panthers offense to just one goal was, according to Staal, everyone on the ice playing together as a five-man unit.
“Realizing the position we were in with some new guys coming in. I think our forwards — they always do a great job of being pretty aware defensively and playing as five,” Staal said. “We really focused on that before the game. … Just good structurally to get that one.”
Staal’s ice time has been steadily rising. He skated a season-high 19:10 on Saturday. And although he’s certainly not the fleetest of foot anymore at age 37, he has a positive expected goals percentage of 54.2 according to Natural Stat Trick, and at five-on-five has been on the ice for an even 12 goals for and 12 against.
Getting into a rhythm after being a frequent healthy scratch has helped.
“For sure. It’s definitely tough not playing when you’re used to being in the lineup every night your whole career so that was an adjustment,” he said. “Stayed positive and kept working and obviously getting an opportunity now and we’re playing really important games and it’s exciting for me to be back in and try to help this team win. … I’m starting to feel better on the ice, getting my legs and timing back more where I’m used to.”
When he signed a one-year deal in the offseason, the prevailing notion at the time was that Staal would be a prime candidate to get moved for, say, a mid-round draft pick ahead of the trade deadline. But Staal said on Saturday that it was always his intention to stay with the Flyers for the season, and now part of what has become a close group, he’s thrilled to be sticking around for the playoff chase.
“Been around these guys since September, I’ve definitely grown to enjoy this room and these guys and what we’re doing here,” Staal said. “Leaving really wasn’t a thought I had. You’ve just got to get in, you know? Get in the playoffs and see what happens. You never know.”
Staal knows that well as part of last season’s eighth-seeded Panthers who advanced to the Stanley Cup Final before losing to the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Flyers have to get there first, though. And in order to do that, both Johnson and Staal are going to have to play a role.
“You check your ego at the door, it’s about winning and it’s about building the culture and continuing to go on a big playoff push here,” Johnson said. “What I just told them was I’m here for whatever you need from me, here to be a good teammate, and do whatever I can for the guys.”

so about sugar sugar, what if reader felt like making Al jealous and since she knows that he watches the tapes she starts flirting with customers? 🤭
Hmm well the reader’s personality in Sugar Sugar is much more reserved than most(as shown in her shyness, apprehension and modest dressing) so I would say that Albert would have to have done something pretty bad to set her off like this.
Maybe she saw him out in the city with another woman (probably some poor girl Max was sleeping with and he roped Albert into taking her to Max’s hotel because he couldn’t bother OR maybe someone he went to highschool with who recognised him) and you know what? She did feel a little jealous.
After all, it was Albert who initiated their…relationship and so now seeing him with another woman felt like a blow to her trust, and ego.
So the next day at work, she would wear that shorter skirt like she did on their first time together, and in her own way, would flirt with the men that came through. She made sure to keep to the better looking ones to keep it credible, because if Albert watched her flirting with just any man, he’d catch her in her lie super fast.
The total of an hour would go by in her shift by the time Brad would come along and tell her Al wanted to see her. Once she made her way back into his office with the best innocent face, Albert would be seething under his calm façade.
“Care to tell me why you’re trying to fuck every cock in the store today, bunny?” He asked in an eerily calm voice.
“Were you are watching me, Mr. Shaw?” She shot back.
His eyes twitched, “Answer the question.“
“Well then why don’t you tell me who that woman was last night.” She blurted out, voice far more full of hurt than she meant it to be.
Albert was taken aback, like his brain stalled when he received an answer he hadn’t expected, “What…what woman?” He askedy
“Don’t lie to me I saw you. Last night downtown you were with some lady and she was smiling.” You whispered harshly, arms crossing in front of you.
Realisation dawned on Albert, and his heart soared at the thought that of his sweet girl being jealous. “Hunny…come here.” He cooed to her, rolling his chair out and holding his hands out in from of him for her to take. She stared at them for a long moment, not wanting to give in, but he beckoned her again and she caved; stepping into his grasp.
Albert tugged her into his lap, and groaned at the feeling of her against him, “Now then, there’s nothing for you to worry about, sweetie…I know what you saw must have hurt, but that was just an old old classmate from highschool. A million years ago.” He playfully nudged her, “I was getting gas and she recognised me, said hi! She was telling me about her horrible marriages and asked if I was married…told her not yet,” he kissed her neck and smirked when she gasped, “But that I had the sweetest little bunny rabbit in my pocket that I just adored. She was laughing when I told her you were young…said she wasn’t surprised…” he rocked his hips against hers, eliciting a hitched breath from her, “And off she went. You should have said hi, bunny. I would have loved to wash that smile off her face when she saw your pretty face.” His voice began to lower into a rasp.
“T-thats it?” She whispered.
“Mhmm…now here you went and made me all jealous with your flirting like some little slut…and you’re not a little slut are you bunny?” He growled into her ear, grinding against her shamelessly.
“No! I- I just-“
“You just wanted to get back at me? Aww well I suppose I’m sorry for making you feel like that…” then he suddenly gripped her throat and held her painfully tight, “But just remember that the only person you’re a slut for is me. Right bunny? You’re mine.”

The Georgia Republican Party paid at least $220,000 last year to two law firms defending fake presidential electors who could face charges as part of a Fulton County investigation into efforts by Donald Trump and his allies to overturn his 2020 loss.
According to recently filed campaign disclosures, the state party paid Strickland Debrow of Newnan, GA, about $170,000. Atlanta-based Pierson Law LLC, received roughly $52,000 from the Georgia GOP.
The disclosures come as outgoing state party chair David Shafer, one of the 16 phony electors, announced last week that he wouldn't run for another term. In his farewell letter, Shafer revealed that the party paid the elector's legal expenses.
"Thankfully, our State Executive Committee voted to ratify their acts and pay (the elector's) legal expenses," he wrote. "I have raised the money to honor that commitment so that none of them have had to pay a penny out of pocket."
A spokesperson for the Georgia Republican Party didn't respond to questions before publication. Representatives for Strickland Debrow declined to comment for this story. Holly Pierson of Pierson Law told 11Alive that none of the electors "did anything wrong."
"It’s incredibly frustrating that any of the Republican electors were put in the position of having to obtain counsel when it is so abundantly clear legally that none of them did anything wrong," Pierson said. "Recognizing that fact, the Georgia Republican Party voted to step up and protect its membership, which was the principled and courageous thing to do. The Republican electors recused themselves from the vote to ratify their actions and cover their legal expenses, which was otherwise unanimous."
Sixteen Georgians served as phony electors for Trump. They are:
• Shafer •Joseph Brannan •James "Ken" Carroll •Vikki Townsend Consiglio •Carolyn Hall Fisher •Burt Jones •Gloria Kay Godwin •David G. Hanna •Mark W. Hennesy •Mark Amick •John Downey •Cathleen Alston Latham •Daryl Moody •Brad Carver •Shaw Still •C.B. Yadav
The two firms paid by the Georgia GOP represented 11 of the electors — Amick, Brannan, Carver, Consiglio, Downey, Fisher, Godwin, Latham, Shafer, Still and Yadav.
Fulton County prosecutors honed in on the electors as part of their investigation to determine if the former president and his allies violated state law after the 2020 Presidential election. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said in a July 2022 court filing that the electors could face charges.
A Fulton County Superior Court Judge ruled last year that Willis couldn't prosecute Burt Jones, who currently serves as Georgia's Lieutenant Governor, because Willis hosted a fundraiser for Jones' Democratic opponent ahead of the November election. The Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia will determine if Jones should be investigated by a special prosecutor.
Legal experts previously told 11Alive that the electors may face fraud or forgery charges for the documents they submitted to state authorities and the National Archives. The 16 Republicans said that they were the duly elected presidential electors, and they falsely claimed that Trump won the election.
The Fulton County Special Purpose Grand Jury finished its eight-month investigation last month. The panel heard from 75 witnesses. Three portions of the jury's report was released Thursday. Jurors expressed concern that at least one of the witnesses may have lied during testimony. Key sections of the report remain secret.
