New Brass Fitting Technology Promises Durability
Brass fittings have been a staple in plumbing and industrial applications for centuries, known for their durability and corrosion resistance. However, a new wave of innovation is now transforming the brass fitting industry, promising a brighter and more efficient future for plumbing systems around the world.
Brass, a combination of copper and zinc, has long been a preferred material in plumbing applications. Its inherent resistance to corrosion and its ability to withstand high temperatures make it ideal for conveying liquids and gases. Brass fittings have been trusted for generations, and their popularity remains unwavering.
Recent advancements in brass fitting technology have opened up new horizons for this age-old material. These innovations are driven by the need for sustainable, efficient, and versatile plumbing solutions, catering to the ever-evolving demands of modern infrastructure.

Brain gave me the dumbest, most amazing pun ever.
I’m a technical theater person for fun and volunteer hour reasons, one of the creatures that run around backstage making plays and musicals run, and I got my start by diving in the deep end by mic wrangling a musical.
Technical theater people are called crew, making up one third of the trifecta of cast (actors), crew (tech), and pit (orchestra for live music) that create musicals.
I do this at my school and have two years in a row. I’m a veteran of the mic crew for musicals.
Mic crew.
Mike Crew.

the violin is one of the hardest instruments to master and requires unbelievable dedication, you need to practice every day for a significant period of time. like, you need to. or else you will not be good.

So I had an idea. And it's for my Horrorfell!Gaster Brass! I'm thinking at least. Or maybe Sun and Moon. Maybe both! I'm not sure who to do.
Imagine if you will, Mc is a young village girl in a sleepy town full of ghostly legends and stories and superstitions. She likes to read by a large old oak tree everyday and is rather kind to those she comes across, even a strange horse that randomly finds its way into the clearing where she sits.
It's a rather large horse. Big and powerful, probably some large breed of work horse. Undeniably powerful looking. With the deepest black hair, like oil. That also wears reins and a saddle, but appears to be missing its rider.
Mc is immediately taken by the beautiful, seemingly gentle, giant and compliments it and gently runs her hands over its hair. She speaks gently, to not spook it or scare it away.
And in being so gentle, in being so kind, she gained the attention and affection of its rider.
Sometime after that, someone new comes into the tiny, sleep town. A rather tall and lanky fellow, either a skeleton or animatronic. Both of which are uncommon in a town mostly populated by humans, but they know there's Monsters/Animatronics in the bigger cities. Recently liberated and free. So it's not too big of a surprise for one to waltz into town, claiming to be the new schoolmaster.
Not many of the townsfolk trust this outsider, much less like him. But he doesn't seem to care much since his eyes are only on the town beauty and oddball, Mc. He does get some admirers for the way he hands the children of the town, with a lot of care and attention.
He builds up quite the repport with Mc, carefully charming her and gaining her trust and affection. She never understands where he goes once it begins to become dark, or why he doesn't seem to be very worried about the dangers that come out after dark. She worries enough for him as it is, especially when he goes to walk home through the dark forest.
She never expects him to be one of the scariest of the town's legends. The spectral rider that scours the place for his missing head, chasing down unsuspecting and foolishly courageous travelers that walk the trails at night to take their heads.
The Headless Horseman.
But by the time she figures it out, it's too late. He's infatuated and he's not planning to ever let her go.

I've been thinking a lot about how Finrod uses a snake as the symbol of his house, and I've seen other people post their thoughts about it as well, so I might as well throw mine down on the table.
I don't think the symbol of a snake is meant to imply anything particularly sinister about Finrod. While serpents are often seen as symbols of evil, the snake being the form Satan uses to deceive Eve as a prime example, they can also be associated with the good as well.
Many ancient cultures used the snake to symbolize divine power, rebirth, creation, medicine, eternity, and life after death. In the Bible itself, by the power of God, Moses's staff is changed into a snake which devours all the other serpents of the magicians. When the Israelites were bitten by venomous snakes, Moses raised a serpent of brass upon a pole and all those who simply looked upon it would be healed. Christ Himself even references the story in John 3: 14: "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up."
In Egypt the snake was seen as the embodiment of life-giving powers, and many of their gods associated with concepts like eternity and creation, were often represented by the serpent. And this is true for many, many other cultures.
With all this mind, looking at Finrod's character and the things he's closely associated with, especially in terms of his relationship with the Race of Men and other mortal beings and how they view him, the symbol of a snake is actually very fitting. It's especially poignant in his conversation and debate with Andreth in the Athrabeth, where concepts and philosophies of Mortality and Immortality discussed between them make up the majority of their conversation.
So yeah.
Thank you for coming to my Ted-Talk.

BOOT POST
Grant Stone just dropped their Garrison Boot and Brass Boot in a crimson kudu leather that is very nice looking in my opinion. The color is gorgeous, and even given the ruggedness of kudu leather its just really classy looking in this color. It reminds me of like a leather chair in a fancy professor's office from a movie. It gives pipe tobacco, you know what I mean? I love it. Im not gonna buy them but I feel like if you are a grey wool pants/academic/librarian kind of lesbian either of these would look so good with that aesthetic. (Both styles are $395)
