i just made some noodles w my younger sisters for iftar (our pre-dawn meal thats supposed to sustain us thru the day) but it took some time cause we couldnt find the goddamn packets

so i sat down at the table n heard the azan (call to prayer) just as i finished my noodles

only problem? i hadnt drank any water

but my mom told me once that youre supposed to stop eating at the end of the azan, so i simply grabbed two different water bottles and chugged one after the other

To greatly Tl;Dr my thoughts, it essentially boils down to "I wish there was more." Like there was a lot of room for at least 3 more chapters of story, and pacing was a bit wack at the end. Especially not being able to see the other side of the Chapter 14 fight of LaD is a bit saddening.

That being said, the Gaiden food we got was very tasty. Easily my favorite iteration of Kiryu (holy shit they made him reflect) and 4th overall in my RGG ranking.

And I get paid (in-game currency) to play as some of my blorbos :3

you snake your arms around his neck and try to push him closer. he takes his lips and leaves peppering kisses on your neck to your collarbone.

he moves the fabric of your dress ever so slightly just above your right breast. he kisses it and starts to suck a mark where nobody could see.

you moan softly. “chris.”

he kisses up your collarbone and neck again, resuming on your lips.

you are the first to pull away when you need to breathe, your lips red and swollen.

“i like you too.” he smiles at your words. “but what about nate?”

“what about me?”

chris moves as fast as light away from you and clears his throat. nate gives a skeptical look as he stands in the doorway. “why are you guys out here?”

“just chatting,” you reply, and chris agrees with a nod. he’s scared to talk because knowing him he’ll blurt out something he knows he shouldn’t.

“well we’re leaving.” nate starts. “meet us at the minivan.”

he leaves you two and it’s like a weight lifted from the simultaneous sighs of relief the two of you let out. chris smirks, grabbing your ass as he walks by to the exit.

The Gist of the Dangerous Exchange

This is one of my favorite events, how have I not done something about it yet-

The encounter with the Chess Choco twins would unintentionally have been the closest you got to being brought into the Darkness. (Rip Pomegranate) The inner parent within you wouldn’t have seen anything wrong with their antics, fully willing to go along with what they wish for you, unaware of the ties they had with the cookie that was after you.

“Oh! You can be our King/Queen piece!”

“Be our King/Queen piece.”

Earl Grey Cookie though…you were suspicious of him just as much as you were with the previous CoD members, but that fact wasn’t known to you yet. You just had this odd feeling with the him, no matter how close and friendly he tried to get with you.

Trying to give you the first class experience, your very own room with all your needs met, even a bell to call for him if need be. Normally, you’d be pretty thankful of such treatment, but again, the vibes he’d give off made you steadfast.

As per the two’s request, you were made to be their King/Queen piece. You really couldn’t say no to the two, it made you happy to see them happy when you accepted, much to Brave and friends’ surprise. The twins made it pretty apparent that they were next level in terms of their skill for this game.

King: You were well protected by their pieces on the board, Gingerbrave and friends could not find an opening with how well guarded your position was.

Queen: The twins were a lot more loose with their pieces, but your role as a Queen piece meant you were actively taking the Brave gang’s pieces more often.

Those feelings about Earl Grey from earlier only seemed to become validated when came time for the chess game. You weren’t an expert with this game at all, but even you could see that Earl Grey seemed to be purposely throwing the match with his stalling.

A part of you was relieved when Gingerbrave decided to be, well, Gingerbrave, and win the match by putting you in checkmate. Hey, guess cheating was fine as long as you win, right?

The twins were not having it with Brave’s actions though. They demanded a rematch as you tried to calm them down, but Brave and the others grabbed you and led you away out of there, calling out to the two to take care now since there wasn’t really a whole lot you could do. Now the twins were even more upset at seeing you go, with Earl Grey having to be the one to calm them down…

“We lost…our perfect plans…”

“Our plans failed…”

“Where are Gingerbrave and the others?”

The twins had to solemnly admit that they got away..

“Was a cookie with a bright soul with them?”

The twins perked up a little with this question, saying that they did with Y/N Cookie! They reminisce on how fun it was to play chess with them, they even made them their most important piece! It was like when they saw into your, they saw a piece of family in your soul. An important piece….

“Hmph, I see…”

This randomly showed up in my head yesterday, perfect for the hurt/comfort hyperfixation that I've been feeling lately :P

Santino and John having an argument about idk what, but it got too much for Santino and when John got closer to him just because he actually wanted to calm him down because he realized how much upset Santino got, Santino slapped him.

And Santino immediately regrets it and starts crying and apologizing how he didn't mean to do that and wants to kiss John's burning cheek. And John hugs him and rubs his back, murmuring to him that it's okay, he is not mad or anything and lets him cry into his shoulder.

Brb crying 😭

Oh wow, this one is so sad 😭 I took it a little bit darker I think (as I usually do, hahaaa) because I think a slap like that would trigger John. He's been in too many fights, and Santino is normally one of the few people he can feel safe with, so it would actually be really upsetting for him and Santino has to comfort him too.

♥♥ A Slap From a Saint ♥♥

Disclaimer: Do not try this at home!! This is an abusive scenario. If someone puts hands on you in the heat of an argument, even just a slap, my advice would be to LEAVE. Don’t come back until they’ve had a lot of therapy, if at all.

“Stop throwing out my fucking cigarettes! I TOLD you – “

“No. I’m not gonna let you smoke yourself to death.” Santino was rifling through his desk looking for any more, but he wasn’t going to find any. John had gotten to those too. The argument had started when Santino noticed them missing from the nightstand. Then he checked the bathroom cabinet and they were gone from there as well. If John had done his job well (and he thought he had), then Santino wouldn’t find any in the whole house. Granted, he would just buy more. But having to do that so urgently might at least force him to face the problem.

John just watched him while he slammed drawers shut. He looked tired. Worked up. He was frowning, with deep bags under his eyes. It had been a long day, John knew, and he was expecting a smoke when he got home. John felt really bad for him.

“You know, you have no right! It’s my business if I smoke or not. I can do what I want with my own health. You always fucking act like you know what’s best and I’m sick of it.”

“I’m trying to protect you,” John growled.

He glared, and grabbed his keys. “I’m going to the gas station.”

John stepped in his path. “Stop and think for half a second. You have to go to the gas station, right now? You’re addicted, Santino. I want to hear you say it.”

A terrified looked flashed through Santino’s eyes. He looked like he was about to break down, so John took a step forward. Too late, he realized that could make Santino feel even more cornered. Before he knew it, all of that nervous energy went straight into Santino’s arm and he slapped him across the face.

The room was suddenly very quiet.

“Fanculo. Cosa ho fatto… [Fuck. What did I do…]” Santino backed away from him in horror like he expected to receive the same thing back tenfold. Maybe because of the inadvertent, instinctual rage that had just hardened John’s features. “…I’m so sorry.”

“I’m not mad at you, I’m – I’m having a visceral reaction. Give me a second.” He shut his eyes and breathed. Not this from Santino…there were so few places he felt safe. So few people he felt safe with… He felt himself going into fighting mode. Everything shutting down. Danger everywhere. And just wave after wave of anger, physical anger. It demanded to be channeled into something so he channeled it into holding perfectly still, his muscles so frozen that they ached.

This was absurd. It’s just a slap. He didn’t even hit you. Don’t make this a whole thing. It barely even stung, and they’d fought hand to hand before, grabbed each other by the throat. But this was different. This wasn’t because they were enemies, or rivals over a contract. It was because Santino couldn’t see past his own rage long enough to hold back. To hold back like John was doing now, for his sake. For an instant, he felt terribly alone, as if Santino didn’t care for him in return. He was willing to hold himself back, but Santino couldn’t do the same for him, never learned how.

Never learned how. Never learned. Be patient with him.

There was something against his cheek. Flutteringly light, like a butterfly. He opened his eyes and realized Santino was kissing him, right over the spot that he’d struck. John sighed and put a hand on his shoulder. They looked at each other, both terribly sad and not fully knowing what to do.

“Please say something, John. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to do that. How do I make this right? You can slap me back if you want.”

“No. I don’t,” he said firmly, and pulled Santino into his arms.

“Then what do I do?” His head was buried in John’s chest. All the anger of their fight was burned away and he started sobbing.

“Hey, it’s okay. You saw what I did there? I took a minute? Do that next time. I’ll show you. We’ll work on it.”

“But what about this time? I wish I could take it back.”

“Well…that’s what happens when you hurt someone. You can’t undo it.” John knew that better than anybody. “But I forgive you.” He sighed deeply through the heaviness in his lungs and rubbed Santino’s back, waiting for him to grow calm again.

“I don’t deserve you. I’m violent, John. You were just trying to help me…”

“I was,” John said. “I’m still going to.”

He clung to John, with his fists closed on the back of his shirt. “Okay. I won’t go to the gas station. And…and I’ll do what you say next time I get angry. I don’t ever want to hurt you again.”

He almost laughed at that. “You couldn’t hurt me, love. Even if you tried.” Santino laughed too, a little bitterly. It was true – at the end of the day, John could take him in a fight. “But…thank you. It means a lot to me that you don’t want to. I know that’s not who you want to be.”

He pulled back to look John in the eyes, despite the mess that his face had become. “It’s not who I want to be. And I won’t be, I absolutely refuse.” There was his stubbornness, put to good use for once. John took in the sight with deep fondness.

“You’re a good person, Santino.”

He just shook his head. “If I’m a good person, you’re a saint.”

“And you’re my little saint, getting better every day.” John kissed the top of his head. “I’ll guard you. Even from yourself.”

- i do love that we get to watch him try and figure out why he acts and feels the way he does in real time! even at the end he still doesn’t entirely know until tommy is in his face staring at his lips

- this entire scene drives me crazy btw i can literally pick it apart piece by piece… but the way he smiles throughout it makes my heart go akrjeidjdjsjd

- the chemistry is fucking IMMACULATE btw!! the flirting is so natural and it shows through buck being oblivious about it!! like brother no one stands that close to each other

- buck figuring out how he feels AS he speaks!!! poor boy is trying to catch up as fast as he can

- everything about the “okay” after tommy says “i can teach you”… the smile, the eye squint, the head tilt, like oh my GOD

- the way the tone changes when buck says “good” my GOD, the way his face drops as he comes to the realization that maybe it was about tommy the whole time

- the “cause trying to get your attention has been kinda exhausting” punches me in the gut EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS LIKE FUCK OH MY GOD BUCK LIKES MEN FR? and the way he says it GOD, like i said, he’s literally figuring this out as the words come out of his mouth (“i guess so”)

- okay my ONE nitpick about the kiss scene is that tommy grabs his chin, and then when it cuts it’s the two fingers under the chin, it’s inconsistent and i think i like the chin grab better

- the absolute STUNNED look in bucks eyes after the kiss!!! as the perfect oliver stark put it: he’s found something he’s been missing for a long time

- tommy is so worried in the split second before buck tells him that it was okay

- the wordless nod after tommy asks if it was okay THIS MEANS SO MYCH TO ME

- you can FEEL the sense of relief and wholeness radiating off of buck

- “better than fake mouth static” AKSHSISHS

- his eyes following tommy’s lips as he laughs, and then the brief look down like his whole WORLD has just been turned upside down before tommy speaks again

- i am so fucking here for buck being asked out and being stunned by it

- tommy’s smile as he leaves like tee hee ur kinda cute

For real though Corazon working for the marines given how the world government destroyed Law’s home and murdered his family is a really tense place to start this relationship - even more so than the tossing out windows and stabbings from before.

I want to root for past Sengoku, but knowing his hypocrisy I can’t. He’ll try to bring Doflamingo down from the inside, because Doflamingo is a pirate. But I noticed that Corazon didn’t tell him about the real reason he was leaving his mission, which makes me think even Corazon knows that Sengoku’s sense of justice wouldn’t extend to a child that knows the truth of the white lead plague.

Also love how Sengoku’s method of getting the kids to leave the Donquixote family was “just keep throwing them around” rather than “provide them a stable alternative to go to” which is in keeping with his usual style. And Garp’s.
