Sometimes Lucy wondered if Logan was actually as smart as he and the other boys made him out to be.

Really, it was a little ridiculous at times.

The brunette boy had been coming down the hallway when she spotted him. “Hey, watch out, hotstuff incoming guys!” She had yelled and he had looked around very confused, as if she couldn’t possibly be talking to him.

And apparently, that’s what he genuinely thought.

“You were talking about James right?” Logan asks and Lucy wants to smack her head into the wall beside her.

“No.” She says, standing beside him. “You’re hot Logan. You do know this yeah?”

The look he gives her is one of bewilderment. “Hahaha. You’re funny Luce.” Lucy rolls her eyes at him.

"What did you think I meant by 'hey watch out, hotstuff incoming'?"

“That James or Kendall was behind me?”

And honestly, it’s almost pathetic how Lucy’s heart pangs a little bit. She sighs, turning so her and Logan are face to face, gently rests her hands on his shoulders.

“Logan. You are just as attractive as James and Kendall. Actually, you’re more attractive but not only do you have the look, you have the brains as well. Camille’s dating you for a reason. Have some faith in yourself buddy.”

They lock eyes for a second and Logan nods slowly. “Oh. Okay.” He says, and Lucy nods, smiling softly at him.

“You promise?” He asks quietly, and it’s a dip into something more serious, the struggle with self confidence that she’s recognized in him for a while. She nods again, tucking a red streak of hair behind her ear.

“Promise.”
