Lance is slightly younger than Keith and doesn’t remember right away but Keith can tell immediately who Lance is but doesn’t tell him he knows who Lance out of fear or whatever idk but this idea sounded cute

I was gonna write this next one as a series but do what u want with it, so basically Adam and Shiro are teachers at a high school, Shiro and Keith are brothers, and Adam is Lance’s older cousin or jsut a fam friend of Lance’s. Series starts with Shiro coming out to Keith bc he’s dating Adam and Keith just bein liek “bitch me too tf?” And the series basically jsjt follows Klance getting together and Shadam progressing (btw for this idea I intended for Keith and Lance to be 14ish when the series started and so they’re just beginning to think abt feelings and then the series ends with them being like college age and a shadam wedding)

Leakira/Klance crossover! Keith and Lance get transported to another reality where they are Leandro and Akira who fight along side the other characters in a rebellion (Or whatever the leakira universe/plot is idrk exactly how it goes). And basically Leakira is established but Klance isn’t so when Klance gets to this wierd reality and two people who look shockingly similar to Keith and Lance start being couply and shut they get uncomfortable and gotta figure out they’re own feelings

THE QUEST FOLLOWS UNDER THE CUT 

SOME ALLURA BACKSTORY

The real deal is that the gods have gone radio silent to the romans FOR A LONG TIME long enough for praetors allura and lotor ( an apollo son btw) to worry too much what if they did something so wrong the gods take retaliation or something? truth is also that saturn (roman chronos) have been using this need to keep the camp jupiter running to poisoning lotors mind to get it against the gods for abandoning them and the usual demigod sad stuff… thats why he convinced allura to go look for the gods since she is so good with the mist and stuff while he stays…and basically reigns. But all in “”good heart””. 

Reah sees this and its like oh no, and when she founds Allura she immediately loves her and sees in her the way to not let saturn break the spirit of her grandchildren since he is basically instigating the hate from the demigods to their parents (and other demigods maybe??). she sees in allura a way to not repeat the same saturn family breaker story that is happening with lotor going against the gods. so she is the one who transports allura to camp half blood , actually the one that leads her is a big ass lion but cyclops attack them and he dies defending allura and it is so sad (then revealed by reah that such is the circle of life and the lion reincarnated in a cub who is going to be allura’s but bear with me) but she saw on allura the energy to face the patriarchal oppression against saturn and lotor in camp jupiter. BUT she fails on telling Allura that Lotor is the one behind everything, since Reah thinks/knows that Allura still dont have the support system to go against Lotor herself…because of romantic feelings.

ALSO, Lotor despises Apollo for knowing things and still letting them happen while with the help of the gods a lot of terrible things can be avoided, couldnt they?  but he would never refuse to use any kind of power, which makes apollo think he is important enough to lotor. Still,  that’s why he is siding with chronos. 

ANYWAY

Allura is at chb, and when she wakes up all repaired thanks to apollo cabin magic and she remembers Reah asking her to not reveal the other camp and making her swear over the river styx. so, she cant tell them there about the other camp bc if they expose themselves probably chronos is gonna go after them too and bye new greek allies. Anyway, Allura explains that in California *wink wonk* mount othrys has been appearing slowly and it only means chornos is  kind of waking up  and it can only happen bc some…demigods (lotor and the romans but she cant tell) are siding with chornos.

 BUT she goes with the legal void of just saying demigods who never made it to chb. But keith is like intense staring at her and  why that  SPQR on her shirt…that is obviously roman like on his coin but after all romans where kind of related to greeks ?? he need to know more about this. and while he is basically interrogating Allura about this and she is avoiding his questions Lance kind of confuses this in Keith being interested in Allura and OH NO.

And shiro is all like, rough demigods? I knew some of those at the gladiator thing in the labyrinth so he is gonna help allura because he is sick and tired of demigods putting themselves at risk because the gods are never clear to them and he feels mildly responsible since it is usually zeus rules the ones that fuck demigods more… so he is going with Allura.Keith jumps at the opportunity of getting away from his latent crush on Lance AND know more about this roman jargon Allura slips while talking and that means  he gets to do TWO things at once!The new quest trio ( shiro allura and keith)are ready to go sooner than pidges who still needs some preparations and now Lance is all….what cha mean Keith AND Allura..are both going and he is all confused because he is caring too much about it. Is he Jealous? of….?? Keith maybe? of course it is of keith! since he is NOT into him, and if Allura, the wonderful mysterious and powerful new demigod who saved them from the cyclops, goes with Keith, monster slayer and extremely capable hero… she probably will end up liking Keith (because who wouldn’t like keith and his cool moves) 

And when they are partying and pidge is still asking Shiro all the details he can remember about the matt last whereabouts and hunk is basically asking for all the tips on NOT dying on a quest and Lance is into interrupting ANY Keith-Allura interaction , the six of them are basically walking to the edge of camp  but when they all suddenly feel in the forest in their way out is when they get a prophecy of dodona (thank you garnny Reah) along the lines  that the six of them were to go IMMEDIATELY because in like a week Mt Osyris will be at its strongest and thats when there would not be gong back, that both quest were actually one and the same and only finding the missing family member they will get  there.

they are like oh yes the missing one is matt, OBVIOUSLY, And well, six is not an unlucky number for quests….but Keith is like NO - bc he dont want to spend time worrying about certain inexperienced in quests demigods -, pidge is like YES because that means finding her brother with more help.  hunk is like NO this means more problems and danger , Lance is like HELL YES i get to go with allura and keep an eye on keith so he doesn’t get all the glory and the girl. Allura just want to go and wonders why greeks cant follow simple orders, But Shiro is just “CHILDREN LISTEN, we aint separating. not for our lives. we are only strong in numbers”And team voltron parts immediately to the place hunk has traced technology like shiro’s who coincides with the last place shiro saw Matt: Arizona

BONUS OF THE CERBERUS QUEST (Shiro Matt and Adam failed quest)

Matt had to get back cerberus bc some demigods took him and Persephone wasn’t getting any of that so she went for “who is the brightest demigod so he can bring back my dog instead of me telling my husband”  and  That’s how the trio went directly to hell/the Hades. since they had to start looking somewhere.

Adam is an Hermes child, having a sword power and can know when shit are traps who only went on this quest because Shiro insisted on also going and he had a really bad feeling about it.  his relation ship with Hermes is hermes going all “no dont do that my boy” and adam going “what if i do anyway” but hermes respect he is so straightforward.Matt is an Athena son, who wasn’t too sure about going on a quests until he wanted to graduate from camp demonstrating to his sister that demigods have bright futures out there. 

how did the three brightest and oldest demigods in camp half blood got themselves lost, probably dead and separated?

On their way there shiro and adam get on each other nerves to the point when they both say  “i will do it my way”. Adam is all there is something is deeply wrong with this quest LISTEN TO ME we gotta NOT do this, but Shiro is there for proving this quest successful,Matt is just in the middle… but at the end chooses shiro bc he wants to be the prove of a future for pidgey. And then they get separated in the underworld, never getting to cerberus.Shiro> A zeus child is the best way to get any revenge on zeus and all the gods represent and he is forced to fight in the gladiator arena against monsters and demigods alike, losing an arm.

Matt > ended up in the labyrinth alone passing doors avoiding any kind of evil demigods and creatures without much of a physical fight  bc he is bright that way.  discovering much more stuff about the demigods away from camp and only wants  to see his sister again

Adam> got himself into tartarus because he is unlucky that way

I was gon wait but I feel like I need to get my thoughts on EVERYTHING out before it gets too complicated.

Honerva

Alright, I was totally on board for honerva, not gonna lie. We saw her history, how she fought through it all, what I’m curious about is, it’s not really clear HOW she exactly remembered she’s honerva and not the witch haggar.

I like how we saw how she got her name but there’s so much regarding timelines and ages that just,,, fuck me up? But I mean, sometimes u have to forgive those

But the main thing was, I feel like she was the most developed character in the entire season. I almost wanted to know more about her and what she was thinking. Honestly, all and all, I wish the season was longer or more well,,, organized (something I’ll get into later).

She could step on me. She’s earned the right. Also,,, she’s kind of a snack not gon lie.

Allura

I was gon wait, BUT ITS BOTHERING ME SO MUCH.

I am in love with allura I love her I would fight for her and everything, but this season? Even I was like “okay okay, can we plz hurry up?” She was,, annoying almost? She reminded me of Veronica lodge from Riverdale if that tells you anything.

I understand that there was some sort of whining needed, but,,, it felt,,, uhhhh... yeah.

anD OKAY! Maybe she suddenly liked Lance. I’ll believe that, cuz yes, he grew up so much (something I’ll also get to) but,,, like,,, if I told allura I was in love with her, would she kiss me?? Cuz that’s what it seems like. Anyone tells her they like and she’s like “frickin spunky u tiny man” and kisses them.

She didn’t even want to go with lance originally in the epsiode, romelle, hunk, and lance had to convince her. And it was meant as a “hey my family is making dinner u wanna come?”

Here’s my thing, if they would have written some of the klance moments (yes I’m finally going there) from the past seasons, I would have been all on board!! But as a lance Stan and someone who wants nothing but lance to be happy, this season,,, hurt. Allura was hurting and she wanted to take action, but she was portrayed as,,, whinny, almost selfish(?) and I didn’t like it. Because I LIKE ALLURA! She’s a great character but was not properly used. I didn’t want the entire tension to come down to her dating life. I wanted her to heal, and not have that being her needing a relationship.

And that brings me to my next part, she was hurting. Allura just had everything she thought she knew tangled into a mess and her first reaction? Date Lance. I would have been happy with this if it wasn’t done,,, like it was. And they made their relationship,,, seem,,, I don’t know how to describe it other than,,, forced? I don’t like using that word cuz of what it has meant for this ship but,,, idk I just wish it wasn’t her trying to heal that lead her to it. I wanted her to realize that voltron was her family without having to date lance. Idk I just wanted more

Lance

Now for my boi. I love this man, he’s grown so much, I want nothing more then his happiness, but this season? He wasn’t lance. He was “alluras boyfriend” and that bothered me. Every conversation that wasn’t about the war was about allura. And I get it. U “love” ur girlfriend (of like??? 1-2 months? Max (this well come back to. Again)) but he’s more then that and I don’t think they knew how to write him as a full character on his own.

I had more hopes for lance and it kind of let me down.

He talked with friends?? Allura. He wanted to go somewhere?? Allura. He wanted to- allura. He wasn’t lance, he was alluras boyfriend.

And don’t get me started in the paladins of old “my daughter” bull shit. I rolled my eyes so hard at that.

They wanted to makeup for seasons of rudeness within one season. And it was messy

I would talk about Keith but HE WAS JIST SHOUTING FORM VOLTRON AND THE. YEETING OUT. WTF

Like honestly, there was a lot I wanted to be covered, shit like the Bayard thing with lance, opening up more, more about his time with his mom but what did we get?? Just one note Keith (until lance which we’ll get to. I say that a lot).

U knew it was comin! I’ll make separate posts about the ships all together later (if I do) but seriously, voltron was like “fuck you and your grandma. Shut the fuck up” and then through a brick at us.

Also, they straight up said (multiple times) that lance allura and Keith were a love triangle. Like bitch???

And while allurance was kind of shitty and very in your face, she still kind of spoke down to him??

And like, the only two times lance and Keith spoke it was so soft and wholesome and,,, that’s why I ship klance???

He helped him with alluras death and DAMN they really did that huh?

I had a theory that klance was supposed to happen, but somewhere along the line they said “yeah, no” and had to rewrite it and allurance was the only way to go and that would explain a lot. It wasn’t a ship planned. It was thrown together like a collage students essay two hours before the deadline. U can tell they tried, just not enough.

Plot

I wish they would have converted the honerva story line in the previous seasons so it wasn’t so,,, jumbled.

There were parts were I would zone out for a second and get so lost on the plot and who everyone was

Also thicc voltron/atlas was kinda,,, strange,, but I mean, when you meant to kill shiro and now u have him for the last season, u just hot glue that bitch to the final season script.

It was everywhere and no where at once. I felt like I was about to start watching fucking twilight in space at that point.

They called back a lot of old plot points but some had me going “whomest the fuck is u?” And some made me happy.

I wanted lowhore to come back officially not gon lie.

I WANTED THE BIG LANCE AND KEITH FIGHT SO BAD AND I WAS ROBBED

there’s so many problems with this season that would have been fixed with proper editing and timing

Conclusion

It felt like they started a story and knew what they wanted. But got half way and realized it wouldn’t work. They had to try and create a different ending with what they had made and this was the result. Messy, strange, and kind of hard to follow. There were times when animation fell flat ( that one screen shot of Veronica’s face real close up when her and acxa spoke) and times when, it felt like fan service (for who? Who knows). It would have been better if the show was episodic and not every four months a new season came out. It was rushed for released and it showed in the quality.

I wish it would have been better, everything we wanted, but that never was on option and we should have been prepared for that. But what can u do.

The most rational out of the three bc he instantly sees through that it’s not like it seems to be after what it seemed to be

Thepoor boy was shocked which could be an understatement due to the factthat he grew serious feelings for his supposed-to-be-lover, it wouldprobably also bring him close to tears, devastating him in so manywrong ways that he did not deserve from all of the people. If itwasnt for the fact that he holds the water in, sight already blurry,instead just breathes in shakily perhaps he would’ve bursted outright then. Ofc he’d feel as if a huge rock crushed him but as soonas he faces them, noticing their features contorting as theyconfessed, Midoriya would notice that there was more behind thestory. And with another exhale he is also willing to listeninstantly, throwing away all the negative feelings that wereconstricting his so pure and hurt heart. Just like anyone even theworst person has the right to justify themselves as far as hesucceeded in being calm over this. At the end of the explanation,surprise takes over him but instead of focussing onto the main topiche cant help but to ask if their love was also just a facade to coverthem up, to mix better within the crowd. And when a „No“ falls ofhis partner’s lips, looking sincerely into his with a blush crossingtheir cheeks Midoriya cant hold it anymore and starts tremoringincontrollably. He is still able to catch a gentle smile playing ontheir lips before telling him their true feelings and he just lungsto hug them.

Itdepends how far his character had developed until then to be honest.If he grew out of his stubborn teenage mid-life crisis phase, thebetter it is. 

If not, he is having none of this, would probablyrefuse to listen to them at all and losing rationality. Butconsidering Todoroki did: Just like anyone he’d be hurt, actuallyquite bitter about the reality. He’d call himself stupid as of he didnot realize anything of this huge play they wrapped him up with,wishing nothing else but to bury himself away from this wholebullshit. But maybe it will take him some time before he decided tohear them out bc.. There was definitely a lot to talk about even ifit meant with him ending up even worse than he already was. Themale’s face as stoic as ever but not void of emotion per se, he’dconfront them calmly to sit down and have a serious talk. At somepoint of life he has learned to give someone a second chance: Hisproof was his mother. (Not his father though just btw) And so he letsthem explain themselves bc when they had their first talk about it,it seemed as if there was more that they were about to say but stupidhim just stomped out and slammed the door shut bc of the feeling ofbetrayal having washed over him was just too intense and too much tobear with. All this steadily creeped off his shoulders to stopcontinuingly weighing him down. His beloved asked after making himunderstand the actual situation, with a painful look crossing theirfeatures to give them another chance and with a shaky voice he willrespond: „Yes. Definitely..“ and utter miserable apologies forreacting this harshly upon them. He felt too stupid.

Nopenope nope nope – i think that sums up his reaction at first. Hedoes not see any reason to have a calm and serious talk with them,still hung over the Villain Stain, the Herokiller pretty much even ifhis internal storm may have calmed down after that Arc. He couldntstop thinking about his brother considering that he was stillfrequently visiting him at the hospital. It was unforgettable andunforgiveable. In comparison to the other two he needs to talk tosomeone else about this whole mess if he is even willing to at somepoint bc Iida was relating that kind with such a horrific experiencein second hand, some in first hand. Why his dearest of all thepeople, how could they do this to him and toying with his feelingslike that? Iida loved them so much that it hurt even more. It’s hisolder brother he is going to for that who enlightens him a littlebit. And it reminds him of the hurt look his significant other hadsent him during his outburst before leaving the scene. Iida’s siblingwas his idol, his hero, his respectable older brother that he admiredso much and Tensei damn deserved it bc he is such a rational and justbasically good-hearted fellow. After gathering advice and taking sometime to contemplate even further, he will have a talk with them.Guilt is what follows after his love explaining them with their gazelocked to the floor and their fists resting tense on their lap. „Ilove you.“, they’d be the one trembling, confessing all over againand bc he returns the feeling he’d sincerely apologize and ask tostart over – to the very beginning.

Also I love them. In more relatable news, I'd write it for you and Loki cuz I think that would be fun. 2. Both people being with others but secretly wanting each other - I don't like this trope, cuz it makes me sad and I don't like conflict (I know, I know, conflict is necessary for a story). The only way I would write it is if the people the two were with were also in love with each other, and so all four of them are happier in the end. - mmmmmmm, I guess if I had to write this, I would write it forrrrr... Maybe some weird alternate version of Star Wars, where Kyle Ron and Rey are together, but they don't love each other, and then Rey meets Finn, who's dating Poe, and Finn and Rey and Poe start spending a bunch of time together, and Finn and Rey don't realize they're in love until one day they do, and they're like, !! And they freak out, but Poe is like, yo, I love her too, bring her on over, and then Kyle Ron goes and fades into the distance and finds someone else to manipulate. Well, that got away from me. 3. What do you think about Joaquim saying that Shiro has a "big brother kind of understanding" when he was talking about Shiro choosing Keith to lead Voltron during one of the WonderCon interviews? I've seen your posts saying that you think Sheith still has a chance of being canon, but while I'm a huge Sheith fan, JDS referring to Shiro as big brother figure plus the "you're like a brother to me" line makes me think they're just gonna keep having a brotherly relationship.

Well, I like their platonic relationship, I reallydun think of their bond any less just because it’snot romantic or sexual.. I appreciate it for what it is inthe show right now.  And I don’t have a problem with it staying that way. 

But..

I don’t really see how any of it means it can’t grow into more atsome point?

There’s a BIG difference between a character saying “you’re like a brother to me” in act one, and to them saying that in act 7 or something..  BIG difference.

Why everyone are so impatient around here? Like let their relationship develop first! So ppl won’t cry later “OH BUT THERE WAS NO BUILDUP IT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND IT’S NOT REALLY BELIEVABLE”

Like.. It’s only been two seasons… 26 episodes outof 78…. 

And why would they reveal anything in interviews about whatrelationship ends up being romantic at this point?

None of the relationships are actually romantic rightnow, none of them. 

And I’m not necessary talking about sheith, likeobviously the staff dun tell us shit about who’s the LGBTcharacter(s?) or made it very clear from the start, because just like thePidge being a girl thing, it’s probably supposed to be a surprise of sorts in the show and they want us to experience it. 

If anyone expects any of them to go “oh yeahthat character is actually gay and inlove with this other character”about anyone, before that happens in the show, then I think they’re gonna be very disappointed. (and staff show support for most ships onsocial media, I dun feel like they really favor any specifically..)

And as a sheith shipper I LOVED the BOM scene! And Iloved that line. But I really dun get why that line was what everyonewere talking about and focusing on.. WHEN SO MUCH OTHER STUFFHAPPENED THERE AFTER THAT THAT WERE SO MUCH MORE MEANINGFUL.

And specially since Keith very obviously didn’t mean the “I see you likea brother” thing in a “Shiro, the idea of having sex with you isnot appealing to me in any way whatsoever so lets just be bros”kind of way, (who even thinks that that’s what it was about??) but in a “I really care about you and you’re veryimportant to me” way?

(ok, jk I know exactly why people got so hung up onthis line, no need explaining haha..) 

I dunno, I think if anything the “like a brother” just gave sheith morewind in it sails, because before that there was still the possibilityof them actually being brothers? 

(and you gotta ask yourself, why didn’t they justmade them actual family members in some way in the showif what they were going for is a brotherly relationship there… itseriously could have been as easy as “Shiro you’re mybrother/uncle/second father…” I mean Sven and Keith kinda looked alike? it wouldn’t be so far fetched to make em distant cousins or something, would explain their close relationship in DotU too. I guess they stillmight go that way.. but then it would make em liking sheith art kinda kinkyhaha..)

Anyway, I dun think Keith and Shiro are in a place of talkingabout romance at this point in time.. (I don’t even think either ofthem really thinks in that direction about the other right now.. orabout anyone..)

Maybe there’s some feelings there that are not just platonic love, developing, orpresent….. but I dun feel like either of them is gonna talk aboutit yet if there are?

I don’t think romance is a priority for them rightnow. I think there’s alot of stuff that need to happen first forthem to come to that point. 

And I do not see them going there anytime soon….Maybe eventually, after alot of development and a time skip, but notanytime soon. Like I will be surprised if this relationship takes aromantic turn before like the last season or something.

But… you dun establish such a strong relationship at the beginning for nothing.

They’re building up to something, (doesn’t have to be romance or any good thing) but some serious shit is gonna go down between Keith and Shiro at some point, you can count on it.

And they already said all the romantic relationshipsare slow build, but they also said that they put some stuff from thestart that will pay off later… I guess meaning there will be someend game romance between characters we’ve already met.

So I guess sheith, kla//nce, allur//ance, kallu//ra and shall//ura arethe most likely candidates for that. Since I feel like they had somestuff in these two season that might be interpreted as hints at a possible romantic relationship. (not counting hunay ofcourse, because that’salready a thing)

And I kinda agree with what Joaquim said, Shiro I thinkdoes sees himself as the “big brother figure” to all thepaladins, not just Keith, I just don’t think he’s gonna stay inthat state of mind? I think he’s gonna realize sooner or later thatnot everything has to be on his shoulders all the time.. That hedoesn’t have to stay strong for everyone all the time.. and he willend up being on more equal grounds with the rest.. and I think itkinda already happened with Keith in season 2 to a certain point..

(and I have alot to say about the Keith and Shirodynamics…  and some stuff I dun agree with about what is saidabout it in interviews because that’s not what we see in the show, and from season 2 I will disagree aboutShiro seeing Keith as a little brother, but like not in a romance wayso i’ll do it in a different post cuz I wanna explain exactly why I disagree)

And I will ship sheith no matter what, because theoption of a same sex ship becoming explicitly canon in a show is still very new to me…So my feelings and ideas about a relationship don’t depend on that,simply because they never were.

But shipping goggles off, there’s still things Iwill stand firmly behind, 

and that is that Keith is inlove with Shiro, incanon.

Because with Keith it’s like…

It’s like..  his lips say “bro”but his entire body language says “take me i’m yours” all the time? haha

Like you don’t melt like that around guys who u see in aplatonic brotherly way. look up to, admire, respect, feel protectiveof, yes sure, but not..melt. Keith just becomes so soft, loving,submissive around Shiro… he’s not even the same person..

And you know, I consider Steven Yeun to be a goodactor, and with the way he voices Keith when he’s talking to Shiro andthe way they animate Keith’s expressions (which is done withthought behind it) around Shiro,

I have to say that Keith doesn’t look at Shiro like at abrother (no matter how important family is to Keith), he looks and talks to him like he’s his sun and stars. 

And I think it doesn’t matter what u ship, no one can miss the factKeith loves Shiro and that he’s his most important person. (but I guess pplwho want other ships to happen have no choice but to insist andexplain that love as just brotherly love, because what else could it be whenKeith is obviously straight/ inlove with lance/10 years old?)

So yeah I will stand firmly behind Keith being inlovewith Shiro, whether he realizes it yet or not. (Just a bit too much affection there for it to be strictly brotherly imo..)

But with Shiro I’m not so sure… season one I didn’t seehim returning Keith’s feelings at all, everything Keith was feeling there it didn’t seem like it was the same for Shiro. Just from season one I was convinced Shiro does see him as just a little brother. And I thought it was gonna stay like that for a long while and maybe even forever…

But then season two came… with some stuff that really surprised me about Shiro. And I guess some shots made me think there might besomething there on Shiro’s side too.. But I dunno, I would still describe Shiro’s feelings for Keith as brotherly.  

I think he wants to get to know him more, that he wants to get closer to him, and that he really admires him. But that’s it. I don’t think it goes deeper at this point. (I will poke fun at him tho, but like if you ask me seriously, I don’t actually see him liking Keith like that right now, and even if he does I dun see him keeping those thoughts and feelings)

I guess if in season one I didn’t see it at all, season two made me atleast see him maybe going there eventually?

And you know I think this whole “you’re like abrother to me” is getting so much attention even though it wasn’t even something important in the show…(kinda of a “well duh” moment really) Because I think it made people who were against a romance between Keith and Shiro feel alot of relief? (like when I see antis throw that line at shippers I just see it at proof at how strong Sheith is haha.)

Like I think Sheith started real strong, so strong that alot ofpeople actually thought they are in a romantic relationship in seasonone? Like I think some peoplelegit expected Keith to say something like “I love you, Shiro”instead of “You’re like a brother to me”, specially afterhow season 2 started and went until that line.

(And seeing a homophobic acquaintance muttering “oh thank fucking god” under his breath when Keith says “you’re like a brother to me” is all theproof I need that this is not just me seeing through my shipping goggles, and there’s somethingthere that makes ppl who really dun wanna see gay, see some gay haha)

And btw I’m not even talking about just tumblr shippers (who see gay relationships EVERYWHERE), most of my Voltron buddies are cis straight fanboys in their 20-30 who are really not into shipping and I have to keep my tumblr fandom adventures a complete secret from them haha, and atleast two of themafter watching Voltron season 1 were arguing with me (a sheith shipper) thatKeith and Shiro are lovers, and I was like “no they’re not, far from it”, andthen both these guys were surprised at the “brother” line and now see therelationship as strictly familiar, and that Shiro is a brother/fatherfigure to Keith and think they were wrong.

But I think it’s not like they were wrong about Keith and Shirohaving something a little extra in their interactions… people (well atleast people whoknow this is by the same ppl who did korra, because peoplewho don’t probably cant even imagine two guys being inlove with eachother in a kids cartoon is an option) )I think do pick up on something between Keithand Shiro if they pay close attention to them? 

It’s just that they really start as friends, and not even closefriends. And we see them growing closer, and I’m guessing we will seeem growing even closer as time goes by. And who knows maybe at theend of the show they will grow close enough to maybe even end up together?

It’s not impossible..

(I honestly dun need much, just give me one shot of Shiro comingback to what seems to be his and Keith’s house, and a long hug, and Keithsaying “it’s good to have you back” with a smile and Shiroreplying “it’s good to be back” and them holding eachother atthe end of the show after the credits, and i’ll be happy forever. I love these two and I think they are the person they really deserve to eachother.)

And by no means am I saying it’s not actually a strictly brotherlyrelationship and gonna stay that way, I’m just saying that if that’s what they arewriting, it kinda looks like this haha:

What is with the sudden, not dislike, but displeasure for Shiro from the fandom all of a sudden? Like, I agree with their points that Shiro often dismisses Lance unfairly, but Lance only really shows his good qualities when he ISN'T trying to impress people (see any interaction with Allura), and I'm sure he's always trying to impress his hero.

Dude, your guess is as good as mine. I personally didn’t get the sense that Shiro was being completely unfair to Lance because, as is frequently noted, Lance does not tell people when he is feeling sad or neglected. He is vocal about what he thinks of other people and when he disagrees with something, but when it comes to what he thinks of himself, he’s pretty much mute. He really hasn’t given Shiro much to work with in terms of letting him know that he’s feeling undervalued.

Shiro, who has a metric fuckton of issues to deal with (including but not limited to: leading a group of teenagers in a war against the greatest threat in the galaxy, his PTSD induced amnesia and flashbacks, the perceived rejection from the Black Lion) really can’t be faulted for not reading Lance’s mind. If Lance doesn’t give him any strong indications that something is seriously wrong, then unfortunately it’s just going to get moved to a slightly lower space in Shiro’s list of priorities. Is everybody surviving? Is everybody functioning? If everyone is meeting that criteria, then he’s going to have to move on to deal with the next threat. 

Plus, let’s be honest, Shiro doesn’t really know Lance that well. I find it very hard to believe that they ever had any extended contact before the Kerberos mission, just based on their interactions in the first episode of Season 1. If Shiro doesn’t know that Lance isn’t the type to share his personal issues and Lance doesn’t give Shiro some kind of indication that he’s upset… well. I reaaally don’t think we heap as much blame onto Shiro as people seem to be doing now.

Same anon from the “Lance v. Shiro discourse” ask! (Sorry, I’ll stop pestering after this.) I kinda hate myself 4 this, but the part of my soul that I sold to ShAllura wants to explain Shiro’s dismissal of Lance as subconscious jealousy re: the constant hitting on Allura. Too shipper-goggles? (btw I think the writers dropped the ball on that one. U can only fail at flirting with someone so many times before u give up lol Lance isn’t an idiot)

You’re definitely not pestering me! I don’t think that Shiro is jealous of Lance because Allura’s made it pretty clear she’s not interested in him, but I guess anything’s possible. And I agree: Lance definitely is NOT an idiot. He’s a very smart kid, who happens to have some flaws, just like a real person.
