husband material number two, he’s equally fixated on looking out for you as cheol. there is nothing that could distract mingyu from you, your well-being, and safety. the type to walk on the outer side of the sidewalk, and always holding your hand when crossing the road. not a single one of your brain cells would have to be active when he’d be around.

Very affectionate behind closed doors

Jason wasn't a very clingy person to begin with. in fact the first time you held hands you swore you saw drops of sweat drip down the side of his face, it's hilarious. it took him a while to get around giving physical affection but once he did, hugs and kisses are non-stop. he'll either give you quick or aggressive but gentle kisses or would simply ask you to climb onto him on your shared bed and lay your head on his chest as he sleeps. he'd search for your hand and give it a squeeze when the both of you are in a big crowd (ex; galas, parties) or just rest his hand on the small of your back— as intimidating he might seem, he's just a big baby in your hands.

A pretty decent cook, to say the least

Could be an unpopular opinion but i'd say Jason isn't all too bad in the kitchen, he can pretty much fix up a simple meal if he wants to. The man could either fuck up the microwave or invent a whole new recipe just to fit your cravings, there's no in between. He doesn't want to admit it but he has a secret folder in his phone of all the recipes to your favourite dishes from lunch meals to deserts; so now on every occassion, you can expect waking up to the fresh scent of your favourite food set on the table <3

Midnight joyrides are the best

Do y'all know those tiktok accs that own a motorbike and just drive around with their partners sitting behind them? That's exactly how i imagine what it would be like to be Jason's partner 👊👊 literally like; "bubs put on your helmet" "are we going out? at this time?" "what, you don't want to?" "well, yeah i do..." "good, i'll have the bike out front then" then you guys just drive around on his bigass bike zooming through the city. He'd also have his hands run down your leg that's straddling him from behind at every stoplight possible wkehwjhejwhd

Getting out of bed is almost impossible

The first time you two moved in together was really exciting, waking up finding yourself beside the love of your life sleeping peacefully to eating breakfast and dinner with them too. But as time went by, it became almost your mission everyday to get out of bed without being held back by Jason pulling you back under the sheets. You'd have to be sneaky to move his arm that's wrapped around your waist before his reflexes react soon enough; "mmh, going somewhere?" "jay, i gotta get to work" "10 more minutes love, i promise. I'll just drive you there it's much faster" "you said that 5 minutes ago— i'll be late again!" "are you saying you'd rather leave me alone?" "jace i–" "mhm exactly, so stay a'ight? you could just tell them you caught that flu" "i already did...two days ago..."

Absolutely adores your eyes, hands and waist

I'm a firm believer that Jason is a certified waist-grabber !!! you can expect the rough tips of his gloves glide over from your back all the way to your waist once he comes home from work. He also looooves looking into your eyes and see his reflection in them, the same eyes that showed nothing but pure love and kindness to him. And he also likes your hands; the size difference when you compare them, how they wrapped around his own, and how they cling onto him every chance you get. He thinks it's such a cute mannerism (if you have them too)

He asks for fashion advice, sometimes

Jason'll probably throw on a shirt, jacket, pants and boots then call it day before he met you— but he's even conscious of how colors looked on him now. You were his stylist, often picking out clothes and giving him new looks that you think looks best on him just because he once saw a photo of him and thought the shirt and pants he had didn't match at all. Jason always thought clothes only consists of hoodies, sweatpants, shirts, but now even knows what 'preppy' clothing is after you explained it to him.

His love language is words of affirmation and physical touch

This may vary to some people but i do hc Jason's love language to be words of affirmation and physical touch. Words of affirmation; only because he absolutely loves it when he tells you what he genuinely thinks of you at the moment. "You look great in red", "i'm proud of what you did there", "i love you, y'know that right?", "you look so gorgeous, i'm lucky to have you" and physical touch; because he's totally convinced he can't live without you by his side. Jason would want to be next or near you at any given chance, he'll have you scooted beside him while he reads a book or gently rub his hand against your thigh when he's focused on a movie. Your presence alone gives him the comfort he's always longing for in nights that he's away from home, and you'd glady give it to him.

Very protective over you

It's probably a known fact that Jason is a protective person but when it comes to you he can be over the top in making sure you're okay (especially when you're also a vigilante/hero working with him.) You'll always have to assure him that you're fine and not bleeding to death with a papercut or when you accidentlly stub your toe against the bed. But when you're also a crime-fighter like him, best believe he'll always have you stay and guarded behind him. You had to explain so many times that you could also take care of yourself like he can, though it's understandable why he acts that way most of the time.

Acts all tough, but melts when you're around

Around the times when Jason still had a lil crush on you, he'd never let his guard down and likes to appear cold or tough. But once you were dating he's an absolute shy babe even with the smallest gestures or compliments you give him. He'd only crack a smile at the side comments you make but is mentally falling apart. Or when he can't keep up the act he simply dips his head in the corner of your neck and stay there til he stops blushing like a teen getting his first kiss.

Is a part of the sassy man apocalypse

Sometimes, you question if this man is simply your bestfriend or your boyfriend of how many years. The amount of bickering the two of you end up having is like watching two friends fight over peanut butter vs chocolate. You'd suggest a book you've been reading that he absolutely despises and have a debate right there and then. It's almost like that one Friends scene when Joey and Rachel were giving spoilers back to back at each other LMAO. The man also has an unhealthy habit of popping a hip whenever he stands, your gallery would probably be filled with pictures of him in that stance alone.

Shin-kun, do you think your friends will surely like me?” You asked quietly, locking the car with the control pilot and after a while grabbing your boyfriend’s hand to move towards the park and the basketball court about which Shintarou’s girly friend was talking about on the phone. “They won’t feel bad about fact that I’m being so old and never played basketball like you?”

“Y/N, your Zodiac sign is on second place today, so of course they will like you... And you’re not old, nanodayo.” He patted you on the head with his free hand, smiling warmly. “I’m more worried about myself. I was last in Oha Asa horoscope today.” He grunted, but you gave him a little nudge with your elbow, gripping his fingers tighter.

“You have your lucky item and you will be among your friends too, so all will be okay, Shin-kun. If anything happens, I’ll be there. Plus... I have lemons in honey! If you get tired just come to me!” You picked up the cloth bag, smiling broadly.

Normally, Midorima would ridicule a person who was so kind and cheerful around him, and also anticipates how he will feel. However, you weren’t a random person, but his precious girlfriend and he had a lot of respect for you (not only because you were two years older than him and were his senpai from Shuutoku High, but overall) and also to whom he felt really warm, sincere feelings. The three-point shooter behaved completely differently with you than with his basket team, with Takao, with players from the former Teikou Junior High or even with his parents and younger sister. He was extremely cute, kind and he loved being close to you, holding your hand and kissing you all over your pretty face.

Anyway. You two approached the meeting point while hearing a conversation between several people; as it turned out, it was a tall blonde young man with a goofy smile, a bit tired Aomine, a girl standing next to him, and a birthday boy for whom this whole meeting was organized. Immediately, you tightened your hand on the basketball player’s fingers again and the boy looked down, smiling a little. A moment later, he leaned over to your ear.

“Don’t be afraid, really. It will be okay. There’s also Momoi, so you won’t be the only girl here. I think you will like each other.” He kissed your temple, straightening his body.

“Midorin!” 

“Speak of the devil...”

“Hi, Mido-! O-Oh! Who is she?” The pink-haired girl looked in your direction with a big smile, and you took a step back, hiding behind the Shuutoku ace’s body.

Shintarou wanted to answer her, but his statement was interrupted by the appearance of Rakuzan and (former) Teikou captain, and after a short while also by Murasakibara. Everyone forgot about you for a few seconds, but when the center came closer, he immediately looked at your tiny figure.

“Mm, Mido-chin. Who is she?”

You felt your boyfriend’s long arm hug you and at the same time move you forward.

“My girlfriend, Y/N. She brought me and wanted to see our game. Don’t scare her, thanks.” He replied truthfully, smiling at you again and making Momoi widen her eyes as she saw how happy her friend seemed to be.

“Huh? A nerdy and a stiff guy like you have a girlfriend? The hell.” Daiki spoke up and Shintarou’s eyes suddenly darkened.

“Do you have any problem with this?” His voice returned to monotony and sarcasm. Incredible. 

Momoi was charmed. The rest of boys too.

“Um. H-Hey, everyone. Nice to meet you all. My name is Y/N Y/L /N. I study in Shuutoku High with Shintarou and I’m in third grade. I really wanted to meet you because Shin-kun told me a lot about your team. Please, take care of me.” You bowed slightly, and the rest of them, upon hearing your age, did so too, introducing themselves. After a short conversation, you pulled your boyfriend towards Kuroko by handing him a small gift from the two of you; a small key ring with a baby duck, a light novel and a bar of chocolate.

Everyone instantly recognized you as a really warm and sweet girl. Without lying, Daiki and Ryota were a little jealous...

When Akashi suggested starting a friendly match, you grabbed Midorima’s warm hand with some bandages wrapped around once again. Few seconds later, you went with him on the court, then on the bench, so that he could put his sports bag on it. You also put your own creamy bag with homemade snacks and sweet lemons.

Needless to say, that when Atsushi seeing what you brought he was more motivated to play than usual.

As the boys warmed up their muscles for the game, Satsuki greeted you one more time and started talking to you; of course she was very curious, so she asked a few questions about you and Shintarou, and which university you chosen.

“... Hey, Satsuki-chan, you don’t have to speak to me so formally, my first name is enough.” You laughed and the girl shook her head.

“Oh, no, no. I can’t...”

“I insist. ‘Y/N-chan’ or ‘Y/N’ is enough for me. Really.”

“Okay... Y/N-chan” She blushed, then looked down at the cookies and sandwiches which you had prepared, starting the conversation again about her and the fact that she is a terrible cook.

In less than ten minutes you got to know each other much closer and you were really grateful to your boyfriend for telling the truth before. Momoi was extremely kind and charismatic. You gave her your telephone number.

However, after players’ warm-up, she apologized to you because Seijuurou called her name and, along with the rest of the team, asked for a tip-off. Of course, she did it, playing the role of a today’s referee.

You were delighted when your boyfriend scored the first three points. After this move, you clapped your hands right away, and he smirked under his breath.

“Ey, Midorima! Don’t end the game with a single throw!” Aomine shouted at him and your boyfriend shrugged.

“Don’t think that I’m going to let anyone get first points while my girlfriend is watching this game.” He adjusted his glasses, looking at you again. You waved shyly at him. “Anyway, today I won’t lose. Be careful.”

“Oi, Satsuki, why you aren’t cheering me on? Give me more motivation to win like Y/N-san gives it to Midorima.” Aomine spoke up, and the sixteen-year-old girl laughed loudly along with you.

“Mm, don’t think we’re going to lose.” A tall, purple-haired giant added and then pointed with his finger at the snack bag that lay next to your right thigh. “I’m also want to win and eat Y/N-chin’s food. Her sandwiches are my motivation.”

You smiled and then watched the game again. You heard lots of praise, saw lots of high-fives and smiles. You watched your boyfriend’s shots and cheered for both teams, being really fascinated by their relation and friendship. You even gave Momoi a handkerchief ‘cause the girl cried when she remembered the first and second year of Teikou Junior High.

At one point, when the ball rolled towards you and Satsuki, both of you were invited to play with the six tall boys. She joined to Aomine, Kise and Akashi’s team, and you joined to Kuroko, Murasakibara and your super confident boyfriend.

It was a really amazing and full of emotions day; surely you were unnecessarily worried about if the rest of Shintarou’s friends will like you.

Of course, they did. They even loved you and invited you to next meeting.

(Midorima was a bit jealous, but at the same time he was very happy that the other six were nice to you. I mean, if they weren’t, he would turn their lives into real hell, lmao.)
