also also im so mad at myself cause i never took screenshots before i tore down the naturally generated structures cause this was a very poorly generated village. i took the villagers for my impulse iron farm from here. id say the original librarians too but they drowned under misterious circumstances when cheaper traders came along

#there's something really beautiful about experiencing the weather patterns of a new place #where i live now. its not like where i grew up. not like the foothills of Appalachia but its more familiar than the Chihuahuan desert was #when i go home to ohio everythings so green. so green. unimaginably green and the towns are in the woods. the hills roll #and trees billow deciduous and packed so tightly the treeline is like a wall of plant matter. here there are trees but they are tall and #evergreen. patchy in places like shrubs in the desert. the grass grows green but also pale tan and dead. houses are routed in valleys #between mountains. they're made of wood and not stucco but they still look strange and the landscape is crumpled together tall. and there's #water. it rains. days can be dreary and gray with drizzle. i forgot what thats like. when a single low stratus cloud blocks out thewhole sk #and fog clings to the trees. my school bus used to drive by a lake where thr fog was so thick i didnt kno how the driver could see the road #but somehow i forgot how much joy suspended water vapor gives me living in a place where when it rains it pours so hard the streets flood #and the greedy ground drinks the landscape dry. but there are new things as well. here smoke rolls up over thr mountains and gets stuck in #the valleys so that the weather forcast reads: Smoke for days on end. im used to tornado warnings and heat warnings and dust storm warnings #but ive never expected Smoke as a type of weather. and im sure there's more to experience. ive only been here like 3 weeks. its not as gree #as home. the storms dont seem to get quite so violent. the woods are so full of bears that its an active threat. but its not the desert #and while ill miss the shapes of desert plants and little lizards. when i look up at the pine and spruce trees i feel like i can breathe a #little easier. well see how i feel once the long cold winter sets in haha #but i dunno. part of me still longs for a violent thunderstorm. one where u can feel the temperature drop and u csn feel it building all da #one that bends the trees and smells like ozone. it was never like that in thr southwest and im not sure that happens here #but maybe thats just a desire for chaos and violence as a product of my pathological internal control. i cant be spontaneous so let nature #bring the fear to me. some of my favorite memories are watching lightning strikes #so it goes i suppose #unrelated #listen. is it fucked up to have ohio nostalgia? maybe so. but in my defense i grew up in the pretty part of ohio lol

#posts #minecraft #wanted to give my best shot at building the lgts church/fountain...#it is not to scale unfortunately but I wanted it to be something more manageable since i've been doing a lot of really big build projects #as of late #going to build the rest of the town as well! just starting with these since it's easy to sort of start wit these an build round them #also the block pallete is very off. going to be more detailing than this I just wanted to block out the basic shape of the build first with #[also using outlined blocks makes it way easier to count them later lol]

#this is soooooo late i meant to post these literally the day after the concert but alas the beasts won #mp #very shaped buildings……..#its sooooooo surreal seeing a foreign country that looks exactly the same as yours like landscape & hills & forests & nature wise #but the architectural style feels soo like. two steps to the left just bc austria was never a part of the soviet block LOL #i mean the 3rd pic looks pretty much exactly like so many places in my town + region so it's not THAT drastically different #but the style of like regular ppl houses outside of big cities feels so like.. modern and uniform..all the same shape + toned down colors..#whereas where i live there will be like a pink as hell house next to a green as shit house in the same village. ppl do not give a fuck #anyway. look at my photos boy

builds so far for souptown!! i finished the town hall a couple days ago so everyone could set up mailboxes, and now i’m working on a big community garden area. we’re using a mod that adds more crops and food recipes so there’s much more to grow :>

Anyone got any fun Minecraft servers to recommend? I lost all the ones I had saved and it's a bit hard trying to find them.

#minecraft #minecraft servers #theres one very specific server i remember #which i desperately want back #it had a bit of an apocalypse vibe #i dont think you could break any block or build anything #and there were towns and stuff like that #empty and abandoned #which had chests with loot #and every so often they would refill #there were zombies that would try to kill you #im pretty sure the paper was callad bandages #bc if you got hurt you could bleed and keep hurting #i think it got more dangerous towards the north?#there was one tower where i died so often fnsnsjaja #it also had a site which had the map on it #so i was constantly switching between the map and mc #but if you died you had to start over completely #if you played with a friend you could be lucky #bc if they survived they could help you get back to where you were #i think it also worked with some form of thirst? and that you had to keep drinking?#to be fair this was years ago #so im not even sure if its still up #i just miss it
