Brushing a kiss along the shell of the other person’s ear for anthony bridgerton?
Sure :D
Warnings: Fluff; flirty Anthony; implied friends to lovers
"You seem to have caught Lord Marsh's attention."
The heat and brush of Anthony's murmur made your stomach flip. You set your eyes on the dance floor, watching the practiced ease of the dances. Lord Marsh, Lord Marsh...For the life of you, you couldn't recall the man.
"Remind me who he is?" You requested. Anthony chuckled softly.
"That bumbling fellow whose palms live up to their owner's namesake."
Your lips twitched with a smile. "I shall have to take your word for that, Lord Bridgerton. I haven't removed my gloves all evening."
"See that it stays that way. If you did, it would cause a scandal."
"And I should like to avoid scandal for this evening, thank you."
"Only this evening?" The question was chased by the nudge of Anthony's nose against the shell of your ear. You could feel the warmth of his body so close, so intensely—it was as if it was bleeding through your dress.
"Look sharp," Anthony added, drawing your attention away from him, "You have incoming."
"I beg your pardon?"
"Ah, there you are!"
Lord Marsh's voice startled you, and you whirled to face him, blinking owlishly at him. He drew a handkerchief from his pocket, using it to map at his flushed, sweaty forehead. He went on,
"I do hope that I may claim your hand for the next dance."
Oh—No.
"I'm afraid that would be quite impossible, Lord Marsh," Anthony spoke up before you could, "As I've already claimed her hand for the next two dances."
You hurriedly tucked your hands behind your back, out of Lord Marsh's view, leaving him unable to see or reach for your dance card. You slapped on a tight smile, nodding.
"Indeed he has, my Lord," You fibbed.
"...Ah," Marsh's gaze darted between the two of you. "Then I am arrived too late."
"I'm afraid so."
"Perhaps later this evening?" Marsh hedged.
"Perhaps," You chirped, just under Anthony's, "Only time will tell."
Lord Marsh gave a short bow, and you dipped a curtsy, eyeing the man's retreating back.
"Hold still," Anthony muttered. You did, glancing back, and frowning as you felt a slight tug on your card.
"What are you doing?" You asked.
"I am putting myself down for the next three dances."
"Three?" Your brows raised, a flattered smile curling your lips as you met his eye over your shoulder. "Lord Bridgerton, you will cause an uproar."
He chuckled, lips ghosting, then pressing gently against your ear before he murmured, "Then it looks like you shall cause a scandal tonight after all."

'They hold no quarter'
"'No Quarter' was the vehicle for versatile John Paul Jones. On that tune, he performed on keyboards, alternating between spacey abstraction and kinetic surges of energy. His performance blended the styles of Keith Jarrett, Huey Smith, Beethoven, and B. Bumble and the Stingers."

can you tell us more about bb!shadowstar? I really liked her in dotc but I think that was because I read it years ago and my brain has ignored canon and made her my blorbo since then lmao
also dotc autocorrected to ditch and I think that’s where it belongs
She gets done SO dirty in canon OH my god.
BB!Shadowstar is a pious, quiet person who cares first and foremost about what's most beneficial to her cats, and her cats alone.
The Shadow Family is descended from Broken Shadow, who famously adopted The Tyrant and ruled by her side through the destruction of the Kinships.
With the lake poisoned and the ancient forest cut bald, it laid a curse on the family. All Shadow cats are born with pure black pelts. If they come without one, they are dead before their first moon.
Tall Shadow has lived her whole life with the curse of tyranny in mind. It defines her. She is both ambitious, and wants to rule through respect.
She cares immensely about the will of the Stars, and listens when they send a sign... though, she can still be guilty of interpreting their omens in a way that benefits her people.
She speaks with a LOT of "we" statements.
When Jagged Peak broke his leg and it didn't heal, it wasn't her idea to exile him. It was Clear Sky.
She didn't know how to feel about it, necessarily... it struck her as wrong, but he phrased it as fairness. "A cat who does not contribute cannot take. We can't make exceptions. He was broken for a reason."
When only Bright Storm returned, carrying a little kitten with a leg missing in the same spot Jagged Peak broke his, her stomach twisted in horror.
She was convinced, instantly, that Gray Wing had crafted that child. Xey had sent them a sign; what they'd done was cruel and unforgivable.
The first child of the forest, an echo of the first cat who died here.
From that day on, everything she did would be for the health and safety of ALL her cats. She would spend the rest of her life atoning for what she allowed to happen to Jagged Peak.
After a fight with Clear Sky because he rejected his child, Tall Shadow broke off her supporters. They didn't go to the Marsh at first, that happened slowly.
Their first camp was at Snakerocks, in the cave the dogs hid in many generations later. There's ochre drawings from them deep inside.
Her kindness only extended to her own cats, however. While she allowed Turtle Heart to bring Bumble to the group, she was clear that it was only on her vouch.
If Bumble couldn't learn to hunt then she would not be allowed to take. Clear Sky had still left a mark on her, and the whole Clan.
This wasn't a cruelty of herself alone; this was the agreement that the Clan had come to.
So when Turtle Heart died, they sent Bumble away. Thunder Storm returned from his time with Clear Sky. The rest is history.
But, when Thunder Storm and his cats came to ask for Bumble's kittens, Tall Shadow asked how she could know if they could care for them?
Part of her was legitimately concerned, and this was the part she put foward. Another part of her realized that the budding group could benefit her somehow.
She's not completely selfless, nor is she totally heartless. She's more influenced by Clear Sky's mindset than she realizes, but can take a stand when she feels it goes too far. Tall Shadow isn't above using people as chips to bargain, but stops short of putting them in danger.
Of all the leaders, she tends to play the most safe. Even Riverstar will stick his neck out for his ally Thunderstar on occasion, but Shadowstar needs to see something that could threaten her before making a move.

APPRENTICES! AND KITS!!!!!
I imagine that Faithpelt saw Midgestar hanging around with Marsh and, with the idea that befriending outsiders was okay, got a lil' too close to someone lol Anyways, Faith's kits names are Rindlekit, Riftkit, and Mumblekit (in order as they're drawn)
Also cool note is that despite Faithpelt joining as an apprentice, Bumble and Pod were the first two to actually start at 6 moons!

ORIGINS.
There once lived two cats, brothers named Cirrus and Nimbus. Hailing from an old village nestled in the highlands, they were sent on a perilous journey to find a new home for their kin on the dying breath of an oracle named Half Moon. Their travels were filled with hardship… not every cat that went with them survived. Still, they carried on with hope in their hearts, receiving guidance from the Badger of the Sea and whisperings of the Fae across the land.
After countless days on their paws, the travellers found it— an ancient stone circle that carried with it a powerful magic they had never felt before. And beyond that… their new home. The group settled on the open moorlands. The travellers looked to Cirrus and Nimbus as their first leaders, two brave cats that led them on a courageous journey to this sanctuary.
Though the siblings had differing ideas on how to lead. This caused many arguments and divisions within the group. Cirrus felt he was destined to lead and conquer the lands, while Nimbus felt doubtful of their abilities and wanted nothing short of peace. It wasn’t long before the cats split in two; Nimbus and his allies stayed in the moors while Cirrus and his allies left for the forest beyond.
The brothers, who had been so close before, became strained. Both groups caught the attention of stray cats in the area and within a few moons their numbers had grown. Nimbus, still full of doubt, welcomed new faces but stepped down as leader, giving the position to his mate Turtle. Cirrus became militant, only welcoming outsiders to protect himself and gain power. And despite every aggressive advance, Nimbus felt sympathy for their brother.
As the seasons marched on, so did the lives on the moor and in the forest. Cirrus had a son named Thunder; Nimbus, Turtle, and a kittypet named Bumble raised a trio of kits named Pebble, Owl, and Sparrow. A mysterious cat called Shadow took interest in the newcomers from her home in the marshes. So did Blueberry, Wilma, and George— a kittypet and a pair of barn cats. These four souls were met with hostility in the forest they once freely roamed. But the moors treated them with respect. They would all prove themselves to be important allies.
Cirrus became increasingly bitter, increasingly paranoid. He exiled any cat who dared to challenge him or simply failed to meet his standards. Many of them went to the moors in response, including his own son. And he was furious.
Conflict rose again and again. Cirrus continued to get himself in trouble; there were even times Nimbus convinced the moor cats to help him. But the task was thankless, and finally, Nimbus’s faith in their brother began to fade. Destiny or not, Cirrus had to be stopped— and Nimbus was going to be the first to try.
One night, the cats of the moors and the forest met under a full moon. The tension of battle could be felt thick in the air. Nevertheless, Nimbus pleaded with Cirrus one last time. He refused. With a single command, the cats were at each other’s throats.
Blood soaked the grounds of the Four Trees that night. Brother fought brother, mother fought daughter, mate fought mate. It all came to a crashing end when Cirrus, blinded by rage, landed a killing blow on Nimbus. It was shocking enough to make him beg for the fighting to stop as he became fully aware of what he’d done. And as the screeches and caterwauls faded into the night, his weeping was all that was heard.
As the bloodied cats sheathed their claws, something changed around them. The air became cold, a strange breeze fluttered through their pelts. They watched in utter surprise as the spirits of the slain left their bodies right in front of their eyes; they were made of stars. Frozen in place, they all watched as even more descended from the night sky. And once the hollow was filled with glimmering eyes, they spoke:
“Unite or die.”
These were the cats of the StarKin— spirits who were watching over the land— and they demanded peace. They believed that war would tear them apart, that the living were destined for so much more. They told the cats to split into five groups across the territories, and if they did, the StarKin would protect them furthermore.
The living obliged. Wilma became Star Wind of the moors, Shadow became Star Shadow of the wet woodland, Thunder became Star Thunder of the forest, Blueberry became Star River, and Cirrus became Star Sky.
Sky’s position came from the Stars as a form of punishment; he had to start his kin from the ground up, and if he ever went back to his old ways, severe consequences would await him.
The five kins were born that night, and all these moons later they still prevail.

Title: Watchman
WC: 800
“I don't want to pretend.”
—Kate Beckett, A Chill Goes Through Her Veins (1 x 05)
She regrets the Bat Cave metaphor. She regrets raising the specter of Alfred, and she especially regrets referring to him as a multi-millionaire crime fighter. Some of that is predictably instantaneous: she chides herself for somehow forgetting that his ego never needs feeding. And there's a part of her that hasn’t gotten one bit less raw over the last decade that wants to knock the wind out of him for reducing her pain to a comic book plot line.
It doesn’t make a tremendous amount of sense. Not that anything at all makes sense when someone hits that particular nerve, but that’s kind of the point. Frustratingly, enough, he’d tapped it none-too-gently less than twenty-four hours after they’d met. Yes, he’d noticed her dad’s watch, and yes, he had of course felt compelled to play smartest kid in the room about it.
But now, he is being—for him—kind of sweet. And though it pains her to admit it, he’s also being helpful. Which is why she’s there, late in the evening, intruding on his strange family circle in the first place, right? She needs someone’s help, and none of the usual someones will do.
Ryan and Esposito hardly even bother to hide their smirks about the Castle-induced overtime she's been putting in on cases lately. And they certainly aren’t hiding their exasperation when they get roped in because she’s now in the business of cutting lose perfectly good obsessives, greasy nightclub owners, and violent drug dealers because their unfortunately resident Batman knockoff can’t leave well-enough alone.
She can’t go the boys or to the Captain or even to Lanie without a lecture about getting a life, letting it go, switching it off. So she goes to him, and doesn't that make her Commissioner Gordon—or worse, bumbling Officer O’Hara? So, yes, she has reason to regret the Bat Cave metaphor pretty much right away.
And then the case takes its turn and her regret turns with it. He can’t leave well enough alone. He can’t reconcile the characters of Former Detective Sloan the put-upon Deloris Marsh, and she finds herself forced to scour the very darkest recesses of a Bat Cave that could have been. She finds herself forced to confront Ben Davidson.
In some ways, that’s simple. She is not lying when she lays out the difference between a cop and a writer for Castle. There is a fierce, bitter kind of pride in knowing that she is no Sloan. She does not engage in shoddy, I figured it was gonna end bad. . . or I saw no reason to doubt . . . police work. She has never decided how any victim's story ends through lack of effort or failure to see a case through.
So she follows procedure, as she has in every case for her entire career. She ushers the man into the back of her car and drives in total—miraculous, considering who is riding shotgun—silence from White Plains back to the city. She sits across the table from Ben Davidson and puts out of her mind the image of his granddaughters shrieking with laughter as he comes crashing out of the bushes, playing monster. She fixes in it, instead, the image of their tears at the death of their father, the nights they must have awakened wailing and crying out for him. She looks him in the eye and declares that killing Sam Cavanaugh was not the answer.
But she doesn't know that for a fact. She doesn’t know what an answer looks like for her, for the Ben Davidsons of the world. For Bela and Simone Cavanaugh when they're old enough to understand the enormity of their father’s actions, their grandfather’s . . .
And that, Detective Beckett, is why you are here.
She became a cop to solve her mother’s murder. His glib, nutshell version of the defining event of her life isn’t substantially different from the one she’s told a handful of times to less than a handful of people over the last ten years. That’s the story. Except Ben Davidson makes her wonder if that's the story at all.
She has never been to war, but lord knows guns are easy to come by. She has never had the opportunity to demand the truth from her mother’s killer and offer forgiveness in return. She has never had the raw rush of satisfaction at reneging on such an offer and letting her rage speak—letting it roar at last. She will never have that opportunity.
She is a cop. Her city-issued piece sits quietly, heavily in a box with the objects that connect her to life she saved, the life she lost. She doesn’t get to decide how the story ends.
In the wake of Ben Davidson, she doesn’t know if that’s nobility or cowardice.
A/N: Although the late-night editor has not spared you this story, it has spared you considerable material on all the (non-Burton) times Batman has caught and confronted his parents' killer. You're welcome-ish?

A Cyclone of Calamity: "Milo Murphy's Law" is An Exciting Sci-Fi Comedy
Zack, Milo, and Melissa
What if someone creates a cyclone of calamity wherever they go? Milo Murphy's Law answers that question, with Milo always prepared for the unexpected and turning any disaster into an adventure!
Reprinted from The Geekiary, my History Hermann WordPress blog, and Wayback Machine. This was the twenty-sixth article I wrote for The Geekiary. This post was originally published on January 12, 2022.
Milo Murphy's Law is an animated comedic action-adventure animated series by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire. Both also created the acclaimed musical comedy series, Phineas and Ferb, which ran for four seasons. Milo Murphy's Law is much more than a simple television series where anything that can go wrong will go wrong, i.e. murphy's law. It is Milo's world in more ways than one.
As a warning, this recommendation discusses some spoilers for Milo Murphy's Law.
Milo Murphy's Law centers around three characters: Milo Murphy (voiced by "Weird Al" Yankovic), Melissa Chase (voiced by Sabrina Carpenter), and Zack Underwood (voiced by Mekai Curtis). It follows adventures of Milo and his best friends as misfortune follows him wherever they go. But, he remains upbeat, carrying a backpack which always has what he needs for any eventuality. We later meet his mom Brigette (voiced by Pamela Adlon), an architect, and his dad, Martin, who is a safety inspector.
The story is from Milo's perspective as he faces obstacles. This includes an arrogant student named Bradley (voiced by Vincent Martella) and a self-described safety czar named Elliot (voiced by Christian Slater). He gives himself the mission to stop Milo no matter what, although often he is far from successful.
The series begins as a comedy almost from the get-go with physical slapstick humor. Zack, a new kid who once was part of a boy band known as the Lumberzacks, soon becomes Milo's best friend. He joins Melissa, a long-time friend of Milo, whose father, Richard, works as a firefighter. He later learns just roll with it and be for Milo when he needs help.
This differentiates it from Phineas and Ferb, which set in the same town. In that show, Phineas and Ferb engage in a grand new project every day of the summer. Milo, on the other hand, causes calamities everywhere he goes, using a backpack his babysitter, Veronica, gave him.
Milo's dog, Diogee (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) plays an important part in his adventures. Although Milo tells him to go home, a running gag throughout the show, he helps Milo when he or his friends are in a tight spot.
A funny plotline is continual speculation whether or not a teacher with a Romanian accent, Kyle Drako (voiced by Michael Culross) is a vampire. One of Milo's classmates, Chad Van Coff (voiced by Django Marsh) is completely convinced that Drako is a vampire, but it is never said whether Chad is right. It is up the audience to decide it for themselves. There are also funny jokes about plot holes and flashbacks throughout the show.
The show divides itself between Milo's time at Middleton Middle School, the town of Danville (above ground and underground), and the wider world. This includes adventures through time itself! This isn't immediately evident from the beginning of season 1. It becomes more of a plot point when four agents from the Bureau of Time (Vinnie Dakota, Balthazar Cavendish, Savannah, and Brick) become recurring characters in the series.
The first two, voiced by Dan and Marsh, are time travelers tasked with stopping the pistachio from becoming extinct. The latter two, voiced by Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton, are secret agents also from the future who travel in a time-traveling limousine. Mark Hamill plays the annoyed superior of Dakota and Cavendish, Mr. Block. Time travel plays an important part in this series, often as a subplot, so much that both agents are later banned from time travel altogether.
Other agents consider the two bumbling agents, Dakota and Cavendish, a joke. They prove themselves when they end up saving the world from mutant pistachios, known as Pistachions, with Milo's help. Of course, they don't get credit for this, as their boss doesn't remember this due to the altering of the timeline and still talks down to them.
As a person who likes time travel in fiction, and a long-time fan of Futurama, this pulled me further into the series. Dakota and Cavendish are both from "the 70s". Dakota dresses in a 1970s track suit while Cavendish dresses like a person from the 1870s. Some fans have even shipped both characters together based on their interactions during the show, as they act as best buds in the show itself.
Unfortunately, the series doesn't include any outward LGBTQ characters. Even so, Swampy said that "some characters" in Milo Murphy's Law and Phineas and Ferb are part of the LGBTQ community but he did not specify which characters. This inspired some to make fan art. Additionally, there are over 380 fics on Archive of Our Own which ship Cavendish and Dakota together as "Dakavendish."
Fans of Doctor Who would love this series. There is a whole sub-story focused around a sci-fi franchise known as Dr. Zone, based on Doctor Who. Milo and his sister Sara (voiced by Kate Micucci) are big fans. The creator of the franchise, Orton Mahlson (voiced by Jemaine Clement) is even inspired by Dakota and Cavendish. His sidekick, in the episodes is a Time Ape voiced by Sophie Winkleman.
Milo Murphy's Law has some diversity in its cast. This includes Zack, Nolan Mitchell, and Marcus Underwood, characters voiced by Black men. A Black woman also voices Eileen Underwood.
A Cuban-American actress named Chrissie Fit voices Amanda Lopez. She was originally planned to be a white character, but was changed at Disney's urging. The executives told Dan and Swampy to make the show more diverse. The show also includes actors of Malaysian, Chinese, and Jamaican descent, specifically Wen and Olivia Olson.
Amanda is perfectionist like Pearl in Steven Universe. She unexpectedly falls in love with Milo, who also likes her back. While they are never directly shown as in a romantic relationship, there are romantic feelings between the two of them. This is curious since Amanda likes order and Milo causes chaos everywhere he goes. They especially show how they feel about one another in the second season, with Amanda even getting jealous when other girls are nice to him, and giving him a kiss on the cheek in another episode.
The same is the case for Milo's dad, Martin (voiced by Diedrich Bader). He is a safety inspector but is affected by murphy's law as much as his son. It's as much an oxymoron as Homer Simpson being the safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in The Simpsons. In the latter case, the building becomes unsafe the second he leaves the building.
Milo responds to Amanda's request to dance
Milo and Amanda are the not the only ones to express romantic feelings toward each other. There is a slow-burn romance between Melissa and Zack, and Sara has a crush on Neal, who works at a comic shop. Maulik Pancholy, an actor of Indian descent, voices the latter character.
Pancholy also voices a recurring character in Phineas and Ferb, Baljeet. Both shows merge together at the beginning of season 2 after a crossover episode, where characters from each show work to defeat the Pistachions. Prof. Doofenshmirtz, Perry the Platypus (i.e. "Agent P"), Major Monogram, and Carl appear as recurring characters in Milo Murphy's Law. As a result of the crossover, Doof crashes at Milo's house until he gets kicked out for being a nuisance.
Even Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, voiced by Olivia Olson, reappears in one episode. Voicing Vanessa was Olson's first major animated role before she voiced Marceline the Vampire Queen in Adventure Time. In fact, this role was one of the reasons that Pendleton Ward, the Adventure Time creator, brought her in to voice Marceline in the first place! If there had been no Vanessa, there wouldn't have been no Marceline, at least not as we know her today.
Events in Milo Murphy's Law and Phineas and Ferb also connect them together. For instance, Melissa is afraid of rollercoasters because of scheme by Phineas and Ferb. There are many other background details and events similar to both series.
By the show's second season, Swampy and Dan voice at least seven characters together. Other characters are voiced by talented actors like Greg Cipes, Alyson Stoner, Mackenzie Phillips, Sarah Chalke, and Larine Newman.
In the last half Milo Murphy's Law's second season new villains appear: a group of aliens known as Octalians. Milo's negative probability ions interest them and they try to capture him, hoping to save their planet from destruction. Joanna Hausmann, Odessa Adlon (Pamela Adlon's daughter), Brock Powell, John Ross Bowie, Cedric Yarbrough, and many others, voice these aliens.
Like many Disney shows aimed at children, music fills the episodes of Milo Murphy's Law. There are over 60 songs in seasons 1 and 2, along with 25 songlets. This pales in comparison to Phineas and Ferb, which almost has a musical number in every single episode. Even so, its catchy opening theme gets you in the mood to watch every episode.
The music accompanies the wonderful animation and background art of the series. It's not as detailed as a series like Arcane, but it is strong enough to move the story forward. It keeps you inside of Milo's world for each 22 minute episode, usually divided into two segments. The show also doesn't try to take itself too seriously, poking at the construction of animated shows throughout its run.
Some episodes criticize Silicon Valley tycoons and brainless consumers. Others have futuristic devices and robots. There are more fundamental themes in the series, such as the importance of family, self-acceptance, and identity. Some focus on the weight of adult responsibilities, which Prof. Doofenshmirtz called "adulting," while others focus on themes such as historic preservation, environmental protection, and automation.
While the last episode of Milo Murphy's Law aired on May 18, 2019, strong viewings of the show raise the possibility of the third season. There is a strong audience demand for the series and Dan has said that the show's success might "justify a couple of specials."
In the end, if you want to watch a show that will make you laugh with its absurdity and wacky storylines, then give Milo Murphy's Law a watch on Disney+. While you are at it, you can watch Swampy and Dan's first series, Phineas and Ferb, on the same streaming platform.

fun ideas to consider for a dotc overhaul bc that arc is hot garbage:
clear sky starts a cult and leaves resshakkmyu [the tribe of rushing water] to continue having control over its members. this includes clear wing, clear peak, storm's stream, quick water, dappled cloud, hawk swoop, jackdaw's cry, jackdaw's feather, dewy leaf, and turtle tail.
cats from fwookk [the tribe of flowing winds, one of my personal creations] decide to leave in order to have a new place to come to if something happens to the mountains. this includes shaded moss and his three daughters [rainswept flower, ice flower canon's shattered ice renamed, and star flower she's baby. just weaned.], snow hare, hollow tree, tall shadow, and moon shadow.
there's already a group with its own culture in the forest -- the cats of the river, led by river ripple. the cats of the river are a highly pacifist group, but they're very welcoming to new additions who want to join them, even if it's just to grab something to eat bc hunting was shit and there's a litter of kits to feed. no cats are ever forced to become a cat of the river, nor is anyone expected to repay their kindness.
wind runner's sort of a leader of her own group of cats, but it's more like cats that sometimes come in because they need help and then come back later to repay the favor. most lone cats or duos/trios are familiar with wind runner's rules of engagement as they don't like going near the river.
after settling in the marshes, shaded moss dies and his group ends up being under the joint leadership of his three daughters. this falls apart following the death of rainswept flower during the fourtrees battle and the remaining sisters join separate groups. [shaded moss is not a very good parent. he isn't terrible, but his daughters have only been told to follow in his pawprints as leader. this is very formative to star flower, who thinks she has to remain in a position of power to keep her father's memory alive.]
clear sky's cult settles on the moor, allowing contact between wind runner's group and clear sky's cult. this eventually leads to clear sky taking most of his cats to the forest, leaving behind clear wing, dappled cloud, hawk swoop, jackdaw's cry, and turtle tail.
in the forest, clear sky recruits cats into his cult, sometimes forcibly. one of his new additions kills dappled cloud, leaving both groups without a healer. this upsets everyone, but clear sky gives a half-assed lie that clear wing believes. clear wing's intelligence, coupled with his insistence that his littermate is different than everyone thinks he is, leads wind runner to treat him as an equal. this causes problems.
turtle tail leaves the moors because clear wing still has his nose up his littermate's tailhole and becomes a housecat. she's able to get a reasonable grasp on what's happening in the forest from sitting on her fence. this is important for later.
when clear peak is cast out after breaking his leg, star flower finds him and gets snow hare to take him to their home. while this is an objectively good thing to do, star flower starts taking in disabled cats so she has cats loyal to her, like how her sisters have cats willing to listen to them no problem. [she doesn't realize that it's because her sisters have friends. clear peak, now jagged peak after cutting ties with his older brothers, does think of star flower as a friend.]
after storm's stream has his firstborn, clear sky doesn't bother looking at his mate -- he claims that he's busy defending the territory -- until clear thunder is almost weaned. clear sky kills storm's stream when she refuses to cast out their freakish son, a kit that was born with one extra eye and a lower jaw on the side of his face. [clear thunder's appearance is supposed to be a message from a higher power.]
clear thunder ends up being found on the moors as a pregnant turtle tail returns -- with her wife bumble -- and ends up being raised by hawk swoop, jackdaw's cry, and clear wing. when clear sky ends up sheltering on the moors after a forest fire, clear thunder is encouraged to go live with his father.
tiny kits moth flight and pebble heart end up wandering into the marshy territory controlled by the flower sisters. they end up spending a lot of time with snow hare and learning how to heal from the old cat. turtle tail ends up getting squished by a carriage while looking for pebble heart.
when clear thunder refuses to take a disabled cat -- frost, named silent frost by clear sky -- to die out in the woods, clear sky banishes him. clear wing uses words very similar to clear sky's to justify the group not taking in frost. this makes clear thunder break off to create his own group with silent frost, bumble rly she was going to be kicked out bc she's been declawed and can't hunt or fight, acorn fur, lightning tail, sparrow fur, owl eyes, and morning whisker. [he also sheds the "clear" part of his name, separating himself from his family.] many of the cats to leave with him are young, just like him. dewy leaf, milkweed stem, chervil leaf, pink eyes, and violet dawn end up breaking away from clear sky's cult and joins thunder's group.
clear sky begins kidnapping cats in order to kill the leaders of the groups that oppose him, so he can rule the entire forest. he kidnaps shine and hopper from the cats of the river's territory, gorse root i renamed gorse fur bc his canon name sucks ass from the moors, and moon shadow from the marshes.
a great battle happens in the middle of the territories, where there are four of the largest oaks ever seen and a massive stone in the shape of a tree. [this later becomes the great rock at fourtrees. the stone tree falls over during a horrible storm not long before twolegs start destroying skyclan's territory, but that's very far off in the future.]
nettle, quick water, jackdaw's feather, hawk swoop, jackdaw's cry, rainswept flower, moon shadow, cricket, flutter, stoat, and dewy leaf all die in the battle. [many other cats end up disabled from the ferocity of the fighting.] the fighting only stops because a bolt of lightning burns off half of clear sky's whiskers before he can kill clear wing.
the spirits of the dead rise and demand that the cats unite or die. clear sky immediately tries to rally all the other cats under him, only to get bitch slapped by fluttering bird -- his half-sister that their father denied as soon as she was born bc she didn't look like him, his half-sister that became the god of his cult.
"what you want isn't true unity! it's about control! cats will only die if they continue to follow you."
cats shuffle around from thunder's group, the moors, the marshes, and the river. clear sky will not allow any more of his cats to leave. ice flower -- now shattered ice, star flower, bumble, holly, mud paws, pink eyes -- now pink flowers, pebble heart, and buzzing bee all shift territory.
star flower tries to gain power by cozying up to thunder. it works, until he catches her guilting silent frost into loyalty. when thunder kicks her out, star flower joins clear sky and quickly becomes his second in command and mate.
clear sky continues to recruit cats for his cult until there's a civil war within his territory. clear wing, still thinking there's some good in his littermate goes to help. when he takes a blow meant for clear sky, he's left for dead and is only saved by a dissenter taking him to tall shadow's group, where pebble heart saves his life.
