You don’t know what happened. One minute you were hanging out with your dear friend, Edgar Allan Poe. The next, you were in a different world so unfamiliar, it was as if you were in a novel.  Your eyes widened at the thought “A... novel...?” You whispered and your voice quivered as you figured out why you couldn’t recognize anything “Has... Has Poe trapped me inside of a novel?” You asked but there was no one to answer, though you were certain you were correct.  You were aware of Poe’s ability, the ability to trap someone inside the world of a novel, but... There was no way that Poe would do this, yes, he did have a need to one up his friend and rival, Ranpo Edogawa, but he had nothing against you, he wouldn’t do this.  You tried to think of any excuse you could to try and keep Poe in a good light in your eyes, but the reality was, he abducted you, and there was no changing that fact. The only why you could confront him was to figure out the book. 

Poe watched the pages of the book you were ensnared in turn. He watched with a smile on his face “I know you are smart, my dear Y/n, but I’m not surprised that you are taking so long, I did make it trickier than the other ones I had challenged you with, so I could get you here without you breaking out.” Poe said with Karl on his desk, he sat next to the book waiting for you to get out. He always enjoyed the way you petted and played with him.  Poe let out a chuckled “Do not worry Karl, Y/n will figure it out eventually, then I promise you can play for as long as you want.” Poe reassured Karl, who let out a happy chip, before the book glowed brighter, and soon enough you came out.  Karl was ecstatic when you finally figured it out and jumped into your arms, rubbing against you, as you looked at Karl in fearful shock.  “Poe... Why...?” You mumbled in a quivering voice, Poe chuckled “Why? Because I love you my dear.” Poe said so casually, it was like he didn’t care that what he did was wrong as he held your face in his hands “And I would do anything to make sure that you are mine!” He smiled widely, proud that he finally got the one he loved more than himself. The one that could truly understand him.  That smile soon faded when he took a closer look at your expression “Why so scared, don’t you love me too? You love Karl as if he was your own.” Poe asked, he kept his hands on your face, caressing your cheeks tenderly.  “Do you need a little convincing? Cause I can do that.” Poe suggested with his smile returning, he had been wanting someone to love and someone to love him back, he thought he had found that in you.  ...  No...  He DID find that in you. You just haven’t seen it yet. That must be it.  “I can help you see that you love me Y/n, all you need to do... Is relax.” Poe whispered as he leaned into finally kiss you. His lips were soft and tender, but everything about it felt wrong as Karl jumped back on his shoulder.  Once he pulled away after a few seconds “Why? Where did you get the idea I loved you?” You ask tilting your head in confusion “I mean, I do, as a friend, but...” You looked into his eyes, and you couldn't help but think on how beautiful they were. The adoration for you that filled them, your heart lit up at it.  “There we go...” Poe said as he seen you become less tense.  “I told you that you just needed some convincing that you had love for me.” Poe whispered as he took your hand and helped you off the floor. Keeping you close to him and stroking your head.  You keep forgetting how tall he is. Your head about reached his heart, hearing it beat. Beat for you. Poe planted a soft kiss on your head. “Can you fault me? The way you always praise my work, the way you call me ‘cute’ whenever I am flustered, even the way you look at me. Is it really a surprise I fell so deeply in love with you.  When he put it like that, you guess you couldn't exactly fault him.

As the months went by, Poe wasn’t exactly ‘obsessive’. You just, had to always have him or Karl with you when you went out, he gave you gifts that reminded him of you, kissing you whenever he could, saying he’d miss you whenever you were apart from him for a long time.  He didn’t that Ranpo had distanced himself from him because of what he did to you. Ranpo didn’t understand what true love was like. And he wouldn’t understand until he fell in love with someone.  All that Poe needed, was you, and that wouldn’t change anything.

This art comes from my bsd gods au where edger is the main god of death but also a minor god of love as well as literature, sheep and of course ravens and raccoons are his signature animals. Ranpo in this universe is his oracle, so a mortal chosen by a god to have some of there power but for ranpo it was simply edgers obsession with the human race.

Sooo, can I request some headcanons with Poe and a reader who's ability is to see ghosts? But instead of then being all spooky and misterious about they usually just go wisit graveyards and like, talk to the ghosts becouse they don't really have anyone to talk to or something. Ooooor, becouse of those converstations they just know a lot about different ways die, and things like that, idk, I feel like talking to ghosts would give you so much intresting information

It had been a tough day for you, it was so exhausting you just wanted to sleep. However, you were unable to, taking care of a 2-year-old was exhausting, and all you could do was endure and hope he’d calm down for a little while. You so desperately wanted to sneak off to your room and crash on your bed, poor Karl was startled and clung to Poe when Poe came to visit. 

Poe sat down next to you “So... That’s your cousin's kid?” He asked in a quiet voice as you sat bored and tired. Seeing this Poe placed a hand on your shoulder and only smiled at you. 

This brought you a large sense of comfort, it was his way of saying, “everything will be okay.” As he intertwined his arm with yours, Karl climbed onto your lap, for a moment, you forgot about the child, as you turned away in a blush. 

He stayed with you for hours, until you and him retreated to your room when you two were able to “Y/n... Are you sure I’m allowed to be here?” Karl asked as you fell on your bed, completely exhausted. 

Poe’s question remained unanswered; however, he didn’t need an answer just yet, he took off the jacket he wore around his shoulders and laid in bed with you. 

Your legs intertwined with his as he wrapped his arms around you “Sleep my darling... You are exhausted.” Poe whispered in your ear, as Karl nestled his way under your arm, snuggling his small racoon body close to you. 

“It would mean the world to me and Karl if you slept. You’d feel better too.” Poe then whispered. Karl had fallen asleep almost immediately once he found his position. 

You ran your hand down Karl’s back, giving the racoon a small smile.  

“My dearest... rest your head. I and Karl will be here when you wake up in the morning.” Poe kept whispering, his voice was soothing to hear, as it lulled you to sleep. 

Poe smiled as your breath became shallow and your body became limp in his embrace, before leaning his head against you and falling asleep himself.

Bungou stray dogs character: Self-Aware! Platonic! Ranpo Edogawa

🕵🏻 Vanarana was quiet tonight. Araja was letting you two stay in his house. Ranpo was thinking about past few days, while you was trying to get dome sleep. You were whimpering in your sleep from time to time, so Ranpo gave you head pats, to ease your fear just for a moment. Ranpo let out a growl. This forsaken Teyvat did everything, to break you completely.

When almost a year ago, back in their old world, he and others learned, that you were a child, they were worried, that "their manga" will scare you. Oh, how they wish, that the manga's events would be the scariest thing in your life.

Ranpo had great memory. And he despised every memory about meeting with your "parents".

Ranpo hated, how, in the eyes of neighbors, they were a normal family. How no one would suspect, that they abuse their own flesh and blood.

Ranpo hated, how they couldn't just get rid of your parents, without raising a suspicion. Without having police on their back.

Ranpo still recall, how you looked when you first met. Scared, thin child, who were hiding behind the door, trembling, at the sight of adults arguing.

Ranpo still recall, when your parents asked for a tidy sum, when they realized that he and others are ready to do anything for you.

Ranpo had never seen such rotten people before. They literally traded you like a commodity...

Bless Karma for taking you and other kids outside, so you didn't witness that scene.

But Ranpo especially hated, the words, your "parents" said to them, after Fitzgerald paid and all of them were ready to leave with you.

"Last piece of advice. Don't expect anything from [Y/N]. Your job in making something out of them will a waste of time. Just bashed them with a shovel. Fertilizers are always will be useful."

In a two month they would prove their statement, when Chuuya and Verlaine would use their abilities to bury that "parents" alive.

🕵🏻 For a year Ranpo and others were taking care of you. They loved you, spoiled you, were kind towards you. They found you a therapist and support you. Small step by small step, you start recovering.

And Teyvat threw almost all of you progress away.

Nightmares, fear and tears have returned.

And Ranpo hated, that he can't completely take them away from you.

He wasn't powerful in terms of raw strength. He was genius and had Poe's book. You two can hide, you two can escape.

But this dumb religious fanatics were ruthless. They followed you and followed you two.

Sometimes, Ranpo wished, that Ayatsuji was with you two. Fellow detective was as protective over you, as every one of them, and "Another" would be a very useful in this world.

If wishes were horses...

There is no need in wishing for something.

Ranpo knew, that you need to return home as soon as possible. He must protect your little sibling.

🕵🏻 When you two reached Sumeru, Ranpo almost lost all hope. You two were hunted, and, despite having some helpers (whose help saved your lives), it doesn't change the fact, that powerful of this world hated you. They hated a child, Ranpo's little sibling.

They were trying to KILL a CHILD by the order of ANOTHER CHILD!

Ranpo's thought were interrupted by a jingle. A little sphere, that Nahida gave him, glow. Soon he heard Dendro Archon's voice.

"Ranpo? Is everything alright?"

Ranpo didn't recognize his voice, when he spat.

"[Y/N], before going to bed, asked if I can deduct, why they deserved to suffer."

Nahida wasn't answering for some time. When she spoke, her voice was soft.

"Ranpo... They are trying to find meaning in suffering. I think, for all their live, they heard, that bad things happens to bad people. And they knew, that they are good. So why..."

Nahida didn't finish the sentence. She doesn't need to.

Ranpo was quiet. He pet your head, when you whimpered in your sleep again.

Nahida spoke again.

"I asked Aranaras to help [Y/N] with nightmares... They will enter her dreams any moment now. Before that, let's discuss, what I have learned today about Alice's whereabouts."

🕵🏻 In Sumeru, Ranpo's hope bloomed again. Nahida was really helpful. And, thanks for Aranaras' help, your nightmares disappeared. Maybe, you two could peacefully stay in Sumeru, until Alice's next visit?

Ranpo hopped, that it would be the case.

This hopped disappeared in flames, that destroyed Vanarana.

🕵🏻 Merusea Village reminds you and Ranpo about Vanarana. Place, where some strange creatures lived, who were helping hiding you, and local (former) archon, who was helping them.

Ranpo was really grateful for that. Melusines were guarding you two, making sure, that you two are safe. Ranpo heard, how one melusine mentioned, that "father" also wanted to keep you safe.

Furina wasn't a master fighter, but something in her made you feel less afraid. She console you and bring sweets for you and Ranpo.

🕵🏻 Ranpo and Furina were eating their cakes, while you were playing with melusines. Ranpo can't help, but smile through tears. You looked happy. Furina spoke.

"I am glad, that [Y/N] are happy again. Even for a moment..."

Furina's gaze harden.

"And people are asking why I wish, that this creature on the Ivory Throne just rot away. For "The Holiness" sake, people lose every bit of empathy and mind."

Ranpo nodded.

"When we found a way to our world... Our friends might visit this place again. To have a small "talk" about kindness and kids..."

Furina nodded in return.

"Don't forget to punch someone of the Holy Guard for me."

🕵🏻 In a few days, Neuvillette found you. Dragon was ready to destroy the village. Melusines, he was found of. Furina, whose sacrifice saved Fontaine. Ranpo, who wanted to protect you. And you. A simple child, who already had enough violence in your life.

But, some power hold him down.

You were hiding. You wanted to protect Ranpo, Furina and melusines. You wanted to save Nahida and Aranaras.

You wanted to go home.

Your emotions and powers reached their peak.

And The Great Beast Elynas gave you all his powers, so you could reach Nahida's and Aranaras' prisons.

Not in their barn, after small earthquake and surrounded by a bunch of vegetable things, faun people, kid with white hair and girl dressed in blue and with a top hat.

🕵🏻 There is a lot of work to do. Nahida, Aranaras, Furina and Melusines heed help adjusting to new world. You need even more support and kindness. But Ranpo wasn't afraid of it. He will help you. He will make sure, that his little sibling will never cry or suffer ever again.

Hello! The name's Azul. I'm an 18 year old who loves Bungou Stray Dogs. For a few days now I have been trying to find long-term roleplay partners who knows the fandom of Bungou Stray Dogs.

I have been in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom for almost a year now, and let me just say I really adore all of the characters except for Mori.

The problem is that I have never experienced roleplaying the fandom BUT I am now wanting to experience roleplaying the fandom and possibly explore the AUs.

I have cosplayed a character from the fandom before and that is the one and only; Chūya Nakahara.

My future cosplay would be Ranpo and I'm excited about it but at this very moment I am working on collecting all of the books.

What if the story of Bungou Stray Dogs is just a frame narrative. So maybe Atsushi is telling this story to his children, but it's their bedtime, so he tells them that he will tell the rest of the story the next night. Atsushi then cuddles for the rest of the night with his husband, Akutagawa, who pretends to be a vampire, making both of them laugh.

In the morning, their children meet up with Chuuya and Dazai's children, who are joined by Higuchi and Gin's kid. Kenji and Kyouka reveal that they are engaged. Poe and Ranpo call in from America to say they can make the wedding date. Yosano and Kouyou shed tears at this beautiful turn of fate. Nikolai and Fyodor show up, and everyone is jokingly mad at them. Fyodor promised to bring his band over for the wedding. Nikolai says he can provide the entertainment. Kyouka and Kenji have invited Mori and Fukuzawa, who were currently on a honeymoon in Italy.

Fukuchi died because he set one order wrong and ended up killing himself and nobody else.

Aya and Teruko live with Bram and Sigma.

Kunikida started up his old relationship with Katai, and managed to clean him up a bit.

Jouno and Tetchou live happily but the Hunting Dogs group chat keeps getting spammed by Jouno and his text-to-speech.

Tachihara and Tanizaki get together after Naomi forced him to go on a double date with her and Haruno.

Lucy and Lousia get a thing going on, leaving Fitzgerald and Steinbeck alone. They get a thing going too.

Lovecraft stays asleep (he tired of this)

And they all lived gaily ever after (pun intended).

This was Asagiri can keep the mystique of what happened, leaving the fandom to wonder how everybody was still alive, and begging Asagiri on a daily basis to ask him how he did it.
