Is the renkaza a crackship?

nope! on ao3, they're the third biggest kny ship and the biggest kyojuro ship, actually--not that popularity automatically means a ship can't be crack? hm.

the definition of crackship is debateable lol but to me they're not cracky 'cuz the things akaza was saying during their mugen train fight and akaza's human backstory provide a lot of give in terms of connection points to kyojuro.

they're a ship for all the people who love enemies/rivals-to-lovers plots, and ships that involve a lot of physical fighting and/or searching for humanity, which are some of my fave things to look for haha. they can also just be deeply convoluted and toxic when romantically involved, which is its own brand of fun! (tho i personally tend to look for stuff that ends more wholesomely. angst with a happy ending my beloved. 💞)

i will say that while they're not a crackship, the au's where akaza just fucks off completely (like my au comic haha) or where kyo goes all-in on being a demon right away can come off cracky, but i think that's less "crackship" and more "crack taken seriously".

like this is just my late-night read but- it feels like guilt qbad is trying to twist into pride. he keeps needling away at it. “i killed them all, over and over and over again.” “they were hunted by a monster.”

it’s like- reassurance. like a nail he’s trying o beat into his head. he’s had SO much trouble with legitimately hurting his friends, despite making that vow all the way back when the eggs first went missing, despite all the tree talk and the promises to save the kids no matter what. He never faltered with elq, and that protected them. He keeps faltering now. Sometimes he doesnt remember the code, or cucurucho, or skeppy. But that doesnt matter, right? Because he’ll protect the eggs. Laying in the darkness with coffee on my nightstand while chatting with Jojo. Gonna rest some more soon. Last night was awful fjdkd I had a migraine sooo bad, medication did nothing and I had to sleep with my migraine hat on. It was uncomfy! [It has gel pieces in it to make my head cool.] I also had a dream that was all over the place and didn't make any sense but there was a tiny apartment covered in red tulips that I'm stealing for Momina. Tulips are up there as a favourite flower for her!

i know nothing about canada or maple syrup’s spring origins but i will take your word for it. but regarding horny trees and tamlin - i think he’s as slightly uncomfortable about them as he is about calanmai. he’ll do what he must. but one day he hears the trees sounding way too happy 👀 and goes to find lucien licking the syrup and tamlin is 😟 and lucien (who gives me liquorice lover vibes) is like “tam! come lick!” (maybe they have aphrodisiac/alcoholic properties at times)
