finally got off the waitlist for the last class i wanted!! i'll be taking 22 units this term which is the absolute maximum my university allows. tbh i wish they'd let me take more. but i'm soo excited, my classes are all super fun & interesting!!

What I did today instead of studying… bad news is now im behind on my study plan, but good news is my desk looks great!

Planning to catch up over tomorrow and the next day, shouldn’t be too bad. Fingers crossed!

I can't stress this enough. Not everyone has the capacity to study for long periods with no other stimuli. People always say that doing two things at once is bad for productivity, but as someone who has never experienced what it is like to have a "normal" brain, I can't focus without multiple stimuli.

I need people to remember that everyone has different needs. Telling people that they are studying wrong is rude, and there is no way that you know whether that works or not because you aren't the same person. If people find something that works for them, support them, and don't tell them they are wrong. All you are gonna do is make them think that they aren't allowed to adjust things to fit them. You are causing more harm than good.

The defense of my master's thesis is on Tuesday at 11 am. So this weekend I'm preparing myself. I took the day off on Tuesday because I will need to recover from the stress. I think I will go for a big walk with the dog in the afternoon.

3/100 days of productivity

It's only 1 pm but I already went to uni (8:30 to 11:45), did some revision and preparation of electoral law📚, did my duolingo lesson in russian (170 day streak, babes!!) and at 2 pm I'll go to a campus yoga class for the first time. I'm soo excited💫

I went on a much needed walk yesterday, and walked around this very pretty village. I fell soo in love with it, but i looked up rent there and let's just say i can't afford it❤️‍🩹

another late-night study--this time with a cup of earl grey and lavender tea and vanilla ice cream. it was actually a really nice way to end a full day at work.

today i did a full forecasting simulation. i had to predict the sales of a small gasoline company based on the historical data given and current events that would affect the price. i was worried it would be much more difficult, but the method with the smallest error ended up being the naive approach, so it was pretty easy. also, if you don't know what any of that means, i will be posting a forecasting break-down tonight as well.

and that's really it. i might attempt some french before bed, but no promises.

90% section complete!!!

This weekend has been so productive for me. I would’ve gotten further today but my mom stopped by and we chatted about her upcoming wedding for a few hours.

I’m feeling pretty encouraged. I definitely need to do a heavy review of all the calculations I need to know, and I have a ton of multiple choice questions I need to do for practice.

Goal is: finish the rest (!!!) of the modules tomorrow, I have 4 left. Tuesday heavy review of Units 5 and 6, and then take the mini exam over them. Wednesday I have a study session planned, I’d like to get like… 60 MCQs and 6 sims done as practice? I need to set a more solid schedule of number of review questions per day, maybe I’ll sort that out Wednesday too. I’d like to take a simulated exam Wednesday, but I don’t know if it’s feasible with the study session (too distracting). If not, Thursday for sure. Then starting Friday, im going to start heavily focusing unit by unit on getting formulas and calculations down.

I’m already thinking about the next certification I want to get… is that crazy?

Today I got my grade for my internship. I got 17/20! My mentor was really positive during our feedback convo so I already knew her evaluation was going to be good. I was still a bit scared about my report I wrote about the VAT on renovations though.

This week I'm at uni with other students who are also writing their theses. I feel mich more productive surrounded by other people in the same situation lol, lil bit of peer pressure to not scroll on social media ✨
