Percy Jackson episode 4 thoughts:

(there are obviously spoilers ahead)

-the flashback with his mom T-T she's so panicked about percy knowing how to swim because she knows what's coming for him someday. i was not ready to get hit with feels this early in the episode

-'gotta earn it?' oh. oh percy. this girl willingly takes a knife for you in five years.

-the anger at the godssssss i'm loving how righteously pissed percy is at them already

-'who's froufy? YOU'RE FROUFY. what's froufy? i think i need to eat.' is- is this how i sound when i'm tired bc this is how i feel when i'm tired

-evil chimera lady's moon hair clip is pretty and i want one

-i'm loving how the show is really playing up the theme of monsters aren't always monsters and good people are sometimes bad and bad people are sometimes good. the mother of all monsters looks like a really nice lady and seems so invested in the chimera and helping her grow and learn to hunt and she sees the demigods as monsters, people she needs to defend against and stop. in the last episode, it was medusa and how she was a victim, not a monster, and yet she was still willing to kill and that's what made her a monster. 'monster' isn't something you're born as, it's something you become through YOUR OWN CHOICES.

-oooooh that shot of the arch in the puddle gave me literal chills for some reason

Wait, but why are scallion pancakes so ubiquitous to the MDZS fandom? Like, every third fanfic they appear in some form or another, whether it's modern AU or not. I'm not Chinese so I don't know if it's because they're *that* popular. I didn't know they existed until the fanfics.

Genuine question how are smp fans keeping up with everything that happens. So far all I saw was an egg changing its name from Leonardo to Leonarda (good for her) but apparently there was a whole character arc off-screen during the other guys‘ stream, and also earlier two other streamers murdered the egg but somehow no one noticed. There’s also another dead egg maybe. And based on the next video‘s thumbnail the murderers got into relationship drama along the way or smth. That’s just 5 of the ~20ish folks here. Apparently this is still tame not just for this smp but in general

I don't miss the you that exists now, I miss the you that existed then. The person that actually cared and tried and genuinely was so kind. I don't regret meeting you, not anymore, because no matter what happened you were still a very important person to me and I learned so much from you. You may have taken my ability to trust but you showed me that trust exists in the first place. You may have damaged the concept of love for me but you showed me that love is a real thing.
