What part of the Fallout setting and themes would you want to focus on if you got to decide on the direction of a new game?
Observation that's been boiling in the back of my head since forever is that out of all the games in a series where the tagline is that War Never Changes, New Vegas is about war to an extent that the other games never really approach. Really the only example of a traditional ground war between peer states or something akin, with articulated battle lines, points of contention, supply chain issues and the like. Fallouts 1 and 2 get at least a partial pass because they're set before humanity's redeveloped the capacity for state on state violence; 3 and 4 are trying to be about Wars but kind of flail their arms on that front, 4 in particular. Regardless I want more of New Vegas's energy on this front.

Actually I have a hot take that's been brewing on my mind a little in regards to Cybertronian society and physiology and stuff so like
I've said it's annoying when people impose human gender binaries on the genderless alien robots with no sexual dimorphism, but honestly I also find it annoying when people impose human standards of childhood vs adulthood on the non-organic robot aliens who are almost always born/built immediately having all of the faculties of what we would call an "adult," just lacking in actual worldly experience.
Obv there are exceptions like the recent Earthspark where the Terrans are explicitly children/child-coded
But it's honestly just so weird to me sometimes sjdkshfjd people will be like "awwww baby" to Bumblebee and ma'am that's literally a grown man. Also what functional difference is there b/t a robot that's 4 million years old vs 5 million years old when their race is technically near immortal. Like why are ppl calling Rodimus a child out there when dude is literally the same age as or just slightly younger than characters like Optimus
It's not nearly as annoying or offensive as when people put cisheteronormativity in a culture that wouldn't have it, but like. Am I the only one who finds it really boring to impose human ideas of age on alien robots ESPECIALLY when it comes to basically recreating "oh here's mommy and here's daddy and here's the baby" like sigh

Cartoon: Transformers Prime / Robots in Disguise 2015
Characters: Smokescreen, Knock Out, and Bumblebee, with appearances from numerous other characters (even ones not featured in the cartoons)
Synopsis: An Autobot Elite Guard rookie, a Decepticon medic turned Autobot, and an Autobot scout turned warrior turned street cop - three very different bots with a wide range of stories to tell. And we are going to spend the next year exploring said stories through daily-written drabbles, be they angsty, humorous, gut-punching, or just plain odd! Who doesn’t love a challenge? (2016 to 2017)
All My Fault
The sparkeater nightmares from his sparklinghood were still fresh. The events of Tyger Pax and the subsequent nightmares weren't easily forgotten either. Recently, a new wave of nightmares had been coming for him. He supposed these particular nightmares were an inevitable part of becoming a leader, but they hit a little too close to home.
He would be with his team, and things would quickly descend into madness. One by one, his entire team would fall despite his best efforts to protect them, until he was left alone with the knowledge that it's all his fault, all his fault, all his fault...
Nervous
"Bumblebee, you scout ahead and see what we're up against."
"You got it."
"Recon only, all right? And be careful!"
"Relax, I'll be fine!"
Bumblebee was starting to reconsider that stance as he wandered about the very abandoned looking building. Under any other circumstance, Bumblebee would've felt secure enough to essentially throw stealth to the wind. But there was something about the dead silence and utter darkness that had him keeping to the walls.
"Don't be so paranoid," Bumblebee muttered, turning a corner. "Keep it-"
His headlights illuminated several Decepticon corpses, strewn about the hallway, grey and lifeless.
"Oh... good..."
Better to be Happy
Today, Ratchet had suggested some form of speech therapy to help him get used to the new voice box. Bumblebee had only nodded in response, before leaving to aimlessly wander the halls once again.
Later, a nervous Sideswipe asked 'Bee if maybe he wanted to play capture-the-flag later. Bumblebee wanted to refuse with some cutting remark. He also wanted to accept with an enthusiastic exclamation. He could not muster enough emotion to care about doing either of those. Ultimately, Bumblebee forced a smile and nodded.
Sideswipe lit up. "Great! See you soon!"
As soon as Sideswipe turned away, Bumblebee's smile disappeared.

Has any franchise ever done a character dirtier than Star Wars has done to Obi-Wan Kenobi continuously since The Phantom Menace?

The IDW1 timeline is super fucked up in terms of how little Cybertronian history there is, like yes they’ve been around NUMERICALLY for millions of years but there are literally still Cybertronians who were alive for the pre-Golden Age era where Cybertronian civilization was nothing but a bunch of barbarian tribes fighting each other???
I don’t even know how to imagine that in terms of human scale (especially since Cybertronians seem to be basically immortal as long as they stay in good physical condition).
But like. There are people still alive who lived/fought in WWII right? And they’re almost 100 years old, they’re at the very peak of how long humans can live. Imagine if all of human history only began 100 years ago and the oldest humans alive right now were there for when human civilizations first began. That’s so fucked up.

do you think in a future OG game (if we ever get it) they'll bring up the fact that the steel dragons ran over the president by accident
something like...
Sagiri: Hey, I know you guys! You ran over the president that one time! Tetsuya: Th...that's true, but it was an accident!

I'm always mildly amused/annoyed when I see this post because I'm in the ONE fandom that has the opposite problem.
Rain has her own issues why are we giving her Kyoji's too? Just have him survive the ending! The show gives the perfect excuse to un-kill characters in fanfic.

Funny things abt Arcade Gannon that I LOVE:
He gets angrier when activating Archimedes than when you literally sell him into slavery. The difference between his fake-nice "Hi! Did you always mean to sell me to Caesar or was that a spur-of-the-moment thing?" And him screaming "YOU ACTIVATED ARCHIMEDES!? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING!?" is SO FUNNY.
ALSO WHY CAN YOU DO THAT?? WHY DOES NOBODY TALK ABOUT THE FACT YOU CAN SELL HIM TO CAESAR???
How nice he is to a low-int Courier. He feels responsible for you and tags along to make sure you don't die. There's a low-int dialog option when he remarks on ED-E also, where the player can say they don't know what an EMP grenade is and he responds: "It's... a thing. A science thing. It hurts robots. Don't worry about it. Silly Arcade's just telling magnetic field jokes for his own amusement" (the only time he's rude to the low-int Courier is when they turn on Archimedes, and even then, he just calls them a moron.)
You can make him a follower by (as prev mentioned) being stupid, charismatic, a good friend of his organization, or gay as a daisy. Male couriers flirt with him ONCE and he abandons everything. Idiot couriers stumble over their words and he feels a horrible amount of sympathy for them, to the point he simply cannot let them walk off and die bc of something stupid.
He is, to his core, an idealist. This does not work in his favor in most of his endings.
Some of his only friends are war criminals.
