actually I think the absolute funniest possible bodyswap fic would be a pre-Kerberos swap between Shiro and Krolia. Keith just casually wishing he knew who is his mother was the universe responding by revving up the body swap cannon.

Thankfully for Krolia, Adam believes her story, as outlandish as it sounds and agrees to try and help cover up for her while they both try and figure out how this happened and how to fix it. Of course, that was before the wrench is thrown in where she recognizes the kid Shiro basically adopted and reveals that he's her SON. Shiro didn't just swap bodies with some random alien. He swapped bodies with Keith's mom, who is apparently an ALIEN.

VERY thankfully for Shiro, Kolivan believes his story- and most importantly, believes that he has no idea what's going on, and that he didn't intentionally cause this swap. But also now he's in the body of an elite alien super spy in the middle of a ten thousand year old war, while knowing that said alien super spy must be in his body back home.

Me: I don't know what to do with Veronica's character in post s8 au, I don't want her to be Just Lance's sister and Kuron's friend with Pidge's storyline slapped on her, but also I'm not really sure about her character. Sure there's the whole lying to her family thing but I don't think that's enough?

Brain: ok so what if Veronica started out as trying to look for what was Lance upto but she ends up being so obsessed with finding the truth that not only she repeatedly puts herself in harms way but also the original goal falls on wayside.

This could be her way of dealing with trauma which is getting engrossed in the Mission and a problem to fix while suppressing her grief and refusing to actually acknowledge her problems and her own emotions a foil to Kuron's arc that is him being literally driven by emotions. She's angry at Lance for leaving without a word and angry at her family for their clinginess, however she keeps it to herself and just avoid them pretending everything is fine and normal

Also a foil to Lance who started as trying to figure out what was going on but as soon as he realized that 1) Allura and Kuron are still sorta alive 2) he can bring them back, he got obsessed with it consequences by damned.

Plus through her we can actually explore how quintessence actually effects and changes humans rather than become aware of the end result

Also there's something a character who is obsessed with truth but is also such a frequent liar

OKAY BUT REAL TALK I ACTUALLY JUST READ THIS WHOLE ARTICLE BEFORE CHECKING MY BLOG RIGHT NOW AND I JUST NEED TO SAY THAT CHRIS BEING SO DOWN AND OUT ABOUT HIS ROLE IN THE MCU IS SO SAD TO ME.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way: to put my full thoughts into words... I want to say first that Robert Downey Jr. has this to say about Chris (in response to Chris feeling like he's not as important or as cool as the other heroes):

"Thor as a character was super tricky to adapt [...] but he and Ken Branagh figured out how to transcend, make him somehow relatable but godlike. Hemsworth is, in my opinion, the most complex psyche out of all of us Avengers. He's got wit and gravitas, but also such restraint, fire, and gentleness."

And this is SO true. He took the words out of my mouth.

Reading the article.. and how and where Chris notes feelings of inadequacy, or feeling he's complaining to much (and therefore being narcissistic by complaining), the burning himself out, etc. Suffice it to say I was struck by one thing in particular: There's a lot of Chris in Thor. A LOT of Chris in Thor. It's not a surprise to me, in that case, that he felt down and out about his role in the Avengers, and the MCU as a whole when Thor is, inherently, consequently, alien. But alien in the sense of being SO important, SO regal, so otherworldly in sheer scope and in depth that where he fit in was ... quite simply grander than the others in the overall scheme of things.

It was the Asgardians who brought the Tesseract to Earth and safeguarded it, and the Aether. Two entire infinity stones within their protection. That, is Thor. Who was the one to have a vision about the role of the infinity stones? Thor in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". Who was the one to bring the Vision to life? Thor, also in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". Who was the one to realize as far back as "The Avengers" (2012) that someone was working behind Loki? It was still Thor.

And what I find most interesting is that Chris isn't exactly wrong about what he says here:

"Sometimes I felt like the security guard for the team," he says. "I would read everyone else's lines, and go, Oh, they got way cooler stuff. They're having more fun. What's my character doing? It was always about, 'You've got the wig on. You've got the muscles. You've got the costume. Where's the lightning?' Yeah I'm part of this big thing, but I'm probably pretty replaceable."

Ignoring for a moment that this is absolutely not at ALL the truth, it's not a surprise to me that he felt this way for... particular people and branches within the overarching fandom spaces I won't name for the sanctity of this post. And it is unendingly sad to me to have undeniable proof from the horse's mouth that Chris lost sight of how much depth and beauty he brought to the table as Thor. And how important Thor is as a result.

And yet, I honestly don't blame him FOR losing sight of that. There's a lot he had to - and still has to - contend with. And almost everybody sleeps on his portrayal of Thor in particular. It's depressing to see.

RDJ saying he's got the most complex psyche is so true. Gentle and gravitas, restrained but filled with fire. I love that about Thor. I will always love that about Thor.

I genuinely hope, with Chris seemingly realizing just how far out of touch he fell whilst chasing the high that Taika Waititi's dipshit behavior allowed him to chase, that he does do better. Performs better. But I mean that more in the sense of...

Chris, should you ever happen to read even a small part of this: I hope that you fall back in love with Thor. And I hope you see how lovely he is - and has always been - specifically because of your portrayal of him. You and Thor are not replaceable. You're not boring. At no point have you ever been. And I hope for your last foray into Thor's franchise you get to feel the energy you did when you first put on the costume in the first place. When the costume came on, and it felt like it just fit, and you were transformed into the character entirely. I hope your final goodbye to Thor is filled with all of the love that you first welcomed his part to play with; for you and for all of us.

– and sappiness aside, genuinely, I really do hope that Thor 5 can be a film that Chris feels proud to be a part of. A note he's proud to end on. He deserves it; we all do.

| Before I quickly talk more about him, I'll just re-list the things I wrote in his quick ref since I didn't realize how hard I made it to look after I started trying to read through it... Oops;

He is the oldest step sibling to Caligo, he is very loving and protective over them. Almost motherly

His parents were King and Queen of the oceans so he now takes their place when he eventually "moved out" from his adopted home, he is now very protective of his people and his found family

Anyways that's the quick bio; This is Yggdra, a shortened name for the tree of Life Yggdrasil, so in a sense he does has healing capabilities and can in fact bring people back from the dead to an extent however refuses to do so cuz that brings so much mental trauma along with it. The premise of his character is still the same, except he's no longer a Yiga leader and Kohga's oldest brother, just Caligo's and with a different reason now.. He was also still adopted by the same wicked man who forcefully took in Caligo and married their mother (who I'll need to re-do in a sense cuz their bio isn't entirely set either. Some reason Caligo and Katsumi are just difficult to put in place) and Yggdra was definitely brought into this "Father's" family roughly before he took in Caligo and a couple others (which I've given him a name, it's just in my drafts on my laptop when I was trying to re-purpose all of my former Yigas so it's not yet)

Extra(s):

His tribe consist of mer-people, their fins shimmer so they can be like a ray of colours at the same time. Yggdra's here mainly of pinks, purples and blues; His mother's of pinks, yellows and greens while his father's were of reds, oranges and dark blues. The tails DO have a "base colour" but overall they are literally just "blue", "pink", "purple", "green", and a lighter "red"

They can actually produce their own pearls; They're made from their tears, after a couple hours they solidify into pearls. The pearls he wears are the tears for his parents when they were killed

In the water they have their fins, however they are able to come to land as well; Their fins can actually morph into legs at will. Once on land, from their feet to their shins are blue tinted like the rest of them, and their toes are slightly webbed like their fingers; It took Yggdra a month after he was born to willingly shift from sea to land and back

Their jewellery tends to range from pearls (as stated previously) and a specific kind of opal, to which is very common to find in the waters of their home however rare or almost non existent everywhere else. So it is a must for their home to stay protected

Despite having both indirect and direct connections with the outer waters of his home, he wishes to protect it from the threats of outsiders; Especially some time where the "Purge of the defiers" took place in the secluded village, Yggdra and Caligo were preparing to escape together before getting separated in the massacre, this found sibling bond seem to always be at the wrong place at the wrong time, just about missing each other every time... To which pains Yggdra's heart

The time he takes over as king of the "Oceans of Paradise" would have at least been a few years since the incident, he doesn't leave the underwater kingdom so much these days; Of course with the exception of, as stated previously, if he is on the lookout for his youngest sibling

Underwater Kingdom; " Oceans of Paradise "

As mentioned, the kingdom consists of mer-people who are the main occupiers of this tribe, sea creatures and the like of course live amongst them in harmony

They are capable of communicating directly to the waters, the creatures that reside, even the bacteria and other smaller living organisms that live the ocean

Tridents, blades made of the strongest minerals and opal, are their weapons and defences; Yggdra uses a trident that was passed down from his father after his sudden passing. Practically a family heirloom

The kingdom is also known as the "Kingdom of healing" due to how many healing remedies, potions and other technologies and spells that originated from there; With thanks and help from the resources that reside with healing capabilities and sea creatures who are blessed or born with natural resources

The diet is mainly vegetarian with the exception of eating small invasive critters such as crabs that attack or horrendously infest their home; Although minor, does become such an inconvenience if not regulated properly

Sharks and giant rideable seahorses are their defences along with the soldiers, when not in battle they are actually social and very kind to allies/friendly visitors. They sort of act like puppies, Yggdra has a baby seahorse that he calls his baby

And that's it I guess, a lot of this is mostly improvisation because I didn't have that detail for him besides the basics, but it did start piecing together rather nicely when I did get what I want re-purposed for him... He's still a loveable person who considers one of his siblings to be his own and would love to reunite with them someday to be the big brother for them, so Yggdra would be very over the moon to find out Caligo has been brought into a safer place and having a kid with their saviour.

Anyways, as much as I would love to draw the landscapes and as mentioned cities/towns and such after working on these guys, they however suffer the same fate as my Zarean and Molterious species; The "artist" is unable to draw anything that isn't a person.. Even with the help of softwares and programs that help give the idea, I'm unable to implement environments onto a digital or traditional canvas, never have been. They always look shit.

i've been talking abt my voltron playlists and @iveofficiallygonemad asked to hear them and i want to share with anybody who wants!! i know they're not perfect, i'm working on them & trying to make them better. if you have any recommendations for any of them, let me know!! there's like A Lot and i want to give a lil explanation for most of them, so i'm putting them under the cut ^-^

SO first i have my favorite one <3 it's just. all of them. it's the whole team. it's a mess and it's a bunch of different genres because it's them fighting over the aux cord on a road trip. it's them trying to make each other laugh or annoy each other or play something catchy enough it will infect everyone in the vicinity with brain worms.

Hunk: i'm pretty happy with my Hunk playlist! chill vibes. he strikes me as the kind of guy who listens to calm music to try to find his own calm, and that's what i got here :)

Pidge: this is messier and less cohesive than my usual playlist because frankly i think pidge would have a shit taste in music. all over the board. this is a mix of meme songs and 8-bit covers and vocaloid and stuff that i think pidge would genuinely connect with, and i think pidge listens to all their music on shuffle without any regards for genre or mood because they're a gremlin. nobody gives pidge sole control of the aux.

Coran hears 80's music for the first time and loses his mind. He thinks ABBA is humanity's single greatest achievement.

Lance: i have ideas about where I'm going with this but haven't really settled yet. Lance seems like the kind of boy that loves to dance (is that canon? i forgot) so most of these are Bops That Make You Move in some way or another. he likes to present an upbeat face to the world, so there's no angsting in this playlist! we are clinging to the things that make us happy with both hands until our knuckles turn white!

Keith: i'm gonna be honest. i made him a playlist but i honestly don't think he cares about music very much. it's very important to some people! he's just not one of them! i haven't cracked this playlist open in a while but i'm pretty sure it's full of songs that i think he would conceivably train/work out to.

Shiro: this playlist involves the dumbest headcanon i have for shiro that has just not left me alone since i first thought of it. most of the playlist reflects the fact that he had an emo phase in middle school (that one isn't a headcanon, you just have to look at him to know) but BUT there are a few songs on here that are on here because. little known fact. he also went through a Twilight phase that he told nobody about. (keith knows. keith was there.) he has the entire twilight soundtrack memorized. he moved past the story but the music stays forever. he used to daydream about slow dancing to Flightless Bird, American Mouth. the first time Coran mentions that they have to avoid a place because there's a supermassive black hole there, he has to bite his tongue in order to keep a straight face. do NOT ask me why i believe this so wholeheartedly.

Allura's playlist sucks right now. I think it's because in my heart of hearts i know that, were she on earth today, she would go fucking nuts for taylor swift. i have ambivalent feelings for taylor swift. i cannot do allura justice like this. if you see my vision and have recs as to what might actually fit her, PLEASE.

Klance: i haven't done it yet but i'm gonna go through this and sort it to be a sort of progression of their relationship, starting with the more combative Rivalry songs, then slipping into "oh shit oh shit" songs, then maybe ending on the more lighthearted purely romantic songs <3

(i have two songs in a shallura playlist which does not at all encapsulate how much i'm obsessed with them. the tiny cop inside my head is just constantly screaming at me that i'm going to get yelled at for liking shallura. i am going to kill the cop inside my head.)

I finally began watching voltron

OKAY SO at the recommendation of a super cool person (@imperfection-you-will-find (sorry if you don’t want to be tagged) ) I got into watching Voltron: Legendary Defenders and I just finished the first season AND IT IS A REALLY COOL SHOW. I know I’m like 5 years late to the party but the animation! Characters! World building! All very interesting!! Love how smoothly they blend those 3D models into the show, it’s barely noticeable

Here’s a few thoughts (before I go binge the next season)

- first off it is BOLD that the first episode is an hour+ long. like damn they didn’t have to do that but they did and the pacing is surprisingly good for what they had to do, though I lowkey wish there was more adventuring-to-find-the-rest-of-the-lions because that part was pretty interesting, especially when they talked about having to form a bond with the lions first

- Hunk is a cool guy and I really like how he develops and ends up being one of the more serious characters (when, unfortunately, he isn’t the but of the joke. He’s neat but they make fun of his weight a fair bit and that’s not fun). Love how he has a good sus-detector, also he was SLAYING when he saved people during the season 1 finale

- Pidge is REALLY COOL and I personally (so far at least) headcanon them as enby. they also give off transman vibes and honestly that’s what I thought they were going to do with the character until the reveal. It’s cool how they handled it, and I love that the show didn’t go for an all-boy cast because that’d be disappointing.

- Lance is kinda annoying but he’s growing on me. I’m not the biggest fan but I like how he’s developing. Blue colour scheme is cool, but damn he really put everyone and an entire planet in danger just because he crushed briefly on a girl. Shame.

- Shiro is COOL. We don’t know much about him and the portrayal of his trauma is a really good thing to add. I do find it mildly funny (in a dark way? funny might not be the right word) that like. Lance and Hunk are there because vibes, Pidge is there for vibes but also they were on a mission of their own, Keith right now is very mysterious and gives off many vibes, but Shiro’s backstory is that he was tortured for a year, forced to fight, there’s the implication that his body was forcefully modified as he was trained to be a weapon, and also he’s probably killed quite a few people and he’s trying to deal with that and everything while like, they’re vibing

- Keith is COOL. Red lion swag. Love his somewhat morally ambiguous vibes, also I feel like he’s going to be a big projection character. They haven’t really covered his background other than he dropped out, but I bet there’s a lot more going on. I can DEFINITELY see he is liked. ALSO I feel like the whole “you fight like a Galra soldier” is more than just a one off line. I sense it. Plus the whole “you have to earn the trust of the red lion, you can’t just befriend it right away” gives off big flags of “HEY PAY ATTENTION”. I could write so much about this but I wanna go binge the second season xD

- THE CLIFFHANGER OF A FINAL EPISODE. There is so much I could talk about (the character development, the battle scenes, everything is so cool. It’s like seeing all the things I wish we could’ve seen in steven universe and also I think belos would be proud of the general genocide even if it isn’t religion based). I’ll keep it short and just say that DAMN SO MUCH HAPPENS AND IT IS VERY COOL

I’m going in spoiler free and it’s quite fun! Thanks for the recommendation @imperfection-you-will-find, can’t wait to watch more so I can fully appreciate your super cool edits and posts xD

Now let's discuss something I haven't talked about before... Kiev's incredibly strained relationship with Admiral Sanda. There's no way in hell he's taking his mask off and revealing that he's a future version of Keith. That will just worsen the Admiral's impression of him. But also it is kind of fundamentally hard to trust a person who is always wearing a mask.

He can prove that he's an alien. He can prove that the Earth is facing a potential threat from aliens. He can't really prove he's a time traveler, which is... a bit of a problem. It's obvious the Admiral doesn't fully trust him, which is also a problem, because if there's one thing the Galaxy Garrison needs to do, it's to step up its defenses way up in preparation for when the Galra Empire inevitably invades, even before Sam returns. Aging in Soul Society is so weird that honestly I can see Hitsugaya technically being older than Hinamori. It’s always seemed like part of how shinigami age is based off of their maturity and place in life, rather than just slowly compared to humans.

I haven’t seen a translation of the comment in a language I speak yet, so I can’t really tell what Kubo really meant by this. Like is he going for technical age in terms of years or the more confusing element of how shinigami age? Or is he more realistically just trying to cause chaos.

Shiro and Rin both being mute... Rin, selectively so because of trauma, she was able to make a recovery after she was adopted by Sesshomaru. But Shiro remains nonverbal,,, them having that little thing in common... So I actually have a little idea about that ⚔️👒🗡️ ot3 (EGGHEAD ARC SPOILERS)

Seraphim!Zoro was the first human clone prototype Vegapunk did but he was just, dumped in some cell like a prisoner for any random testing. Until the marines attacked egghead and his cell was opened and he saw Luffy and Zoro fighting alongside one another. Seeing Luffy, he felt something stir within him. something familiar and pleasant. Excitement and delight. So when Zoro and Luffy defeated Lucci and they has a short respite, that's when 'Prototype' popped up and started to follow Luffy like a lost puppy and everyone got spooked for a minute thinking its one of the warlord pacifistas but Luffy saw he looks like Zoro. 'Prototype' is what Seraphim!Zoro was called by the vegapunk crew. Zoro's dna was used and his fighting data back at east blue was also used. Vegapunk tried to imbue him with an artificial devil fruit but his DNA keeps strongly rejecting it. So 'Prototype' is considered a failure by vegapunk but still uses him as a test subject. 'Prototype' was still being given updates in battle memory as they follow Zoro's improvement as a pirate and as time passes. Not to mention, Moria once lent a helping had to vegapunk who also studied and analyzed every move the Ryuma zombie made and fed that info to 'prototype' so his skills are also a no joke. Not to mention,

the Seraphim!Mihawk trains with Seraphim!Zoro. Which was only one of the reasons they kept prototype around.

Vega punk also made an imitation of Shusui that 'prototype' uses.

So prototype is very much like a quiet puppy. Feral when in battle but keeps to himself and is calm when not in battle. another reason Vegapunk deemed him a failure for not being aggressive like the successful new pacifista seraphims.

Vegapunk told Luffy not to worry about 'prototype' and that he's a failure and he will get rid of him but Luffy got mad and almost punched the vegapunk that said it. Luffy then saying, " DON'T TREAT HIM LIKE SOME ITEM. THAT'S ZORO'S CLONE. " covering 'prototype' protectively.

Vegapunk not really having a care for his failed experiemnts, just, told luffy he can have him.

So seraphim!zoro joins the crew. His name being give to him by Zoro - after Luffy's endless coercion LOL- Shiro. since his hair is white. The crew even scolding him to think of a proper name, that shiro makes it sound like Zoro is just naming a dog. But luffy likes it so they go with that.

Once Shiro joins joins the crew, Shiro eventually develops his personality to be closer to Zoro although, more quiet and stoic than Zoro.

Shiro also has sense of direction, but only because vegapunk made sure the seraphim intellect is high to create detailed tactics for war and battle.
